When the Droids Come Marching Home [TSE Dominion of Agamar Hex]

A bark of laughter erupted from Nisha's lips and she swung her gaze to meet the glare of the Acolyte and merely smiled in return. She understood the chain of command very well. She obeyed Itash, took orders from him direct and carried them out herself. this woman didn't even come into it as far as was concerned. Nisha could teach her a great deal about manners and respect, if she was so inclined. But she wasn't. the only thing she was inclined to do was to see what pretty little tunes she could render from that mouth with the point of her blade.

A glance at Itash was answer for her enough to know that, on this occasion, it was not permitted. Pity.

She fell into step with him, pre-fight adrenaline pumping through her veins, excitement rising in goosebumps along her skin. She darted ahead of them, turning her back towards the mines to smirk at Itash. "I will make them sing for you, my lord." she brought the rapier up in a brief salute, before turning on the spot and slipping into the mines.

Dante snorted at the 'they didn't expect' comment. That was exactly why the Sith Empire could keep rolling over systems the way it was. Everyone seemed to expect them to be stupid evil. And yet what they ended up coming up against was a well oiled machine, fueled by a hunger for order.

She fiddled with the lock, her hands stopping when she heard a click.

~Uh, Mor, I didn't do- ~

The door swung open and Dante was already ducking. Her rifle was too long to bring to bear in such close quarters, and she fell backward, gauntleted hand going for her sidearm as the lead trooper leveled his at her face.

The shot took her right in the faceplate and she slammed back to the roof, helmet bouncing hard.

"I agree with some of that sentiment, Lord Mecetti." Jorryn muttered as she turned away from the woman grinning at her.

The sound of the wall crashing alleviated the rising annoyance the acolyte felt as the sounds of the battle starting pulled her attention to the gaping wound that allowed them in the defences, another objective pleasantly completed by the men and women at Didact.

The Echani followed the pair behind as both unsheathed their weapons, Jorryn herself following suit by unholstering her own lightsaber though leaving the crimson blade unignited. Her attention was pulled to the glowing silver blade of the commander, the first time that she had seen one of that colour. The beauty of the colour brought a moment of peace to the Sith before she pulled herself back to the mission.

She stopped in her tracks to return the girl's earlier action of eye rolling as she saluted Itash, giving her lord some sort of spiel or promise. Jorryn pressed the hand holding the lightsaber against her hip, an exaggerated sign of impatience.

Jorryn returned to her normal stance and sauntered over to the lead mercenary as the assassin went to go do her job, standing close to him.

"Where did you manage to find that one?"

The Emperor watched with some amusement as the Geonosian skittered about their work, having never met one of the insectoids prior to this moment.

Aut-X led them to what constituted as an audience chamber for the droid general, himself taking his seat upon a large throne and plugging himself into its complex cybernetic systems. He professed that information was the greatest power in the universe, causing the Emperor to chuckle. "Information is a powerful asset, that is true, but the Force permeates all creation. It flows through me, through the clothes I wear, through the floor I stand on, through the droids being constructed behind us, and through you as well, General."

And with the Dark Side of the Force, Carnifex would conquer the whole galaxy and bring its anarchical hordes to heel.

"Nonetheless, I am satisfied with what you have shown me. Your droids would make a valued addition to my Empire, and I expect you to meet whatever quota is required of your factories. We face countless barbaric enemies, General, and each one would jump at the chance to dismantle the rule of law. That cannot be allowed to happen."

"I still find it interesting that you would align yourselves with the Sith Empire." Vanessa admitted. "I assume that you desire to keep the Confederate cause alive as was originally programmed into you. How do you intend on reconciling that with your allegiance to the Sith?" This was something she felt was the biggest issue. The tactical droid had previously served the Sith themselves, but had not been programmed to serve the Empire - only wholever commanded what was in his programming banks the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

"With no disrespect intended, General, how can we adequately ensure that such a change of loyalties as has occurred with the current Confederacy does not happen again?"

Objective 4: Wreck It Ralph - Talk to High Command
Allies: [member="Vaylin"], [member="Dryden"],
NPC: Besh Squad, Lieutenant Anson,

I shook my head as the ships took off. Racing through the city in very low and close. Avoiding scanners or other detection methods. The engines were just as loud if not quieter than those of the other vessels that would be moving about. With the idea in mind to head on the offensive. While the main idea for the five who followed me, was to draw attention to the front of the building while others made their way inside. The second group would attempt to go through the back, or through the sides to close in and pinch the troopers that we had drawn attention. It was likely the best option to get the most possible out of the way before making our path through to the Command.

I prepared myself with holding upon the grip and pommel of my Oathkeeper. A sword I had forged by hand for the promises I keep. A reminder of what I have done, and yet to reach. One of the other men was whispering to the Acolyte I had seen earlier. I barely heard anything from it about me being suicidal. Looking over to him, I simply stared. No emotion. No malice. Just stared. The trooper caught sight of my gaze. Looking for a few moments before ducking his head. Knowing full well that I had heard something.

Despite this, we rushed through the city streets. Keeping ourselves low should we attract fire before reaching the main building.

"Be in position in one minute."
"Confirmed."

We were making our way when blaster fire erupted at our vehicle. Blaster shots smacked into the side. Our lower bodies prevented us from taking most of the damage. However, they still tried. The fire was mostly small arms. However, the pilot or driver if you will, was shot in the arm. His scream came out. I jumped into the seat with haste and shoved him into the side seat. Taking the wheel from his hands and pushing hard on the throttle. I yelled over the top of the racing engine.

"Brace for impact!"

Mere seconds before slamming the speeder directly into the front doors.

The combination of them going for Dante first, his own (unnatural) reflexes, ensured that when that door opened Morgan was already moving.

His kick slammed straight into the chestpiece of the front trooper. Its force fierce enough to send him crashing back into his fellow troopers, he was shielding Dante with his body now, standing over her as his carbine roared, firing high-intensity projectiles straight into the whirling mess of the troopers. One bolt slammed into his right shoulder, Morgan grunted but didn't move from his position. A second slammed into his side, some of the force moving deeper than the armor and breaking something inside.

Pain laced through his body, but Morgan ignored it for now with adrenaline running high.

Seconds in his carbine silenced itself with the last trooper down. ~Dan, can you move?~ Morgan murmured through their connected relay as he crouched down by her side. The visor seemed to have held, but it was a direct headshot.

Even if it hadn't pierced... dangerous potential.

In the distance, behind the mess of corpses, Morgan could hear alarmed shouts and screams. Their firefight hadn't gone unnoticed and that complicated the situation. Empire directive was clear here... it didn't involve rescuing his partner. Armored hand grasped for her plated shoulder, letting the internal HUD sync up and scan for the kind of damage she got.

:: Outer landing pads secured, found some of the shipments. ::

:: The rest has been moved into the facility itself already. Tracking them now. ::

Tash acknowledged the report and continued to move up. It didn't take long for Nisha to run off, her salute answered with a nod of his. "Happy hunting." He shouted to her with some amusement, before turning some of his attention back to Jorryn. "I didn't." Tash answered simply, because that was the truth. The other truth was that their fate had been entwined and promised from the day they were born. They hadn't known it, they still were annoyed bit it and each other, but such was the truth.

"She found me."

It wasn't a lie, but neither was it the truth. It was something more in the middle of things. He had not chosen Nisha, neither had Nisha chosen him. It was simply good fortune for the Mecrosa to assign her to him from a young age.

They always had similar ways. Mostly.

Finally they stepped on through the breach, where resistance was still being put down. His lightsaber, white, pure silver radiating, rose up and bounced back a few blaster bolts leveraged at them. "Time to show me what you have got, Acolyte Fordyce." Or if this entire exercise had been a waste, better left solely under the purview of the Didact mercenaries. :: Rest of the packages secured, Tash. Moping up resistance. Your knife is... enjoying herself immensely. ::

Tash snorted and waded into battle.

Time to start the cutting.

"So, now that I have your allegiances, let me explain what each of your duties shall be." Zahori waves her hand over the holographic projector, activating it. A floating image of the Koensayr Manufacturing logo appeared before them all. "Doctor, you will be head of the research department. You will find any and all technologies the galaxy has to offer and to improve upon them substantially. Koensayr aims to be the best of the best. Only way to do that is to defeat the competition."

Zahori turned to look at the Gerosian. "Jorek, you will be head of my security. Wherever my shipments go, you will be the one in charge of making sure they get where they need to. YOu and your clan should be more than sufficient enough for Koensayr's security team."

And, finally, the Zeltron. "Jomyn, I want you to be my treasurer. You will be the one who secures deals with potential customers and ensure that Koensayr Manufacturing gets paid. Do you all understand?" Contracts were presented before each of them, along with pens. They quickly read over what they said before signing them. "Welcome to Koensayr Manufacturing, ladies and gentlemen. It is a pleasure to have you."

OBJECTIVE 3
University of Agamar
Artefact Room

"You should consider your position, warden."

The warden looked at her, his eyes turning down for a second. She could sense the doubt in him, and then resolve as he looked back into her eyes. Something was hardening his resistance to her intimidation.

She turned to him fully, a hand reaching out. The warden's body stiffened and his teeth gritted hard as his feet skidded along the floor, his throat suddenly clamped in her hand.

"Help! This is assault!"

The Rattatai's lip curled up in anger as she squeezed his throat.

"No, warden, this is what happens when you try to defraud us." The Force surged through her as she lifted him up to the extent of her arm. "You will tell me where the remaining artefacts are, or I will tear it from your skull along with every happy memory you have ever felt." His choked response was inaudible, but she felt defiance yet.

"Where. Are. The artefacts?"

As she spoke, his eyes opened wide and his skin grew pale as she drained life from his body. Ophidia's eyes glowed with an invigorated intensity.

"Th- th-" She let go of his windpipe. "There is a secret chamber. That is where we hold the originals." "Where?" Her drain subsided, but the room grew dark and cold in her untamed presence. The warden's arm pointed, she let him down and pointed the same way. As the warden ran to one of the shelves near the door, he pulled out a thick collection of data disks and reached in behind them. An audible click resounded through the room and the warden lingered by the door, looking as if to escape. "Stay put." She said as the weapon rack suddenly shifted out and turned.

She pushed past the weapon rack, the cold air that washed over her face could have been from the mere isolation of the room, but she felt something more. Her eyes fell upon a greater collection of artefacts than they had assumed. The cold she felt was their presence, and even where she stood, she could hear them calling to her tainted soul.

"Warden. The Sith Brotherhood is most thankful for your cooperation."

A snap of her fingers echoed through the halls and summoned sages from above. They passed through the outer room with as little as a glance, and started picking it clean and leaving only the scraps behind. The warden held a hand to his chest, his face curling in anger as he felt the sith artefact hidden underneath. His eyes turned to Ophidia with vengeance, but he would bide his time.

"I suppose that's all you'll give me on that subject isn't it?" The response came in a stern and dismissive tone. Jorryn didn't expect the commander to give her a proper response nor did she care to continue her ineffective prodding, her attentions were better focused on the coming fight..

Jorryn stood by patiently as she allowed Tash the first entrance through the breach, he was not the only one wanting to see what the other was capable of. She had wondered what the leader of such a mercenary group would be like in real combat.

It didn't take long to figure out.

The white blade waved through the air as it deflected the blaster bolts hurled at the pair, throwing the shots back at the ones firing them.

The Echani gave a nod of approval, uncaring whether it would go noticed or not, before making her way towards the mercenary. She extended her arm as the crimson blade burned itself free from the hilt of the lightsaber as she began deflecting the attacks aimed at herself, pushing forward to get closer to the pirates that had dared to steal from the Sith Empire.

Jorryn focused mostly on throwing the bolts back into the chests of the ones with the guns instead of redirecting the blasts, the Saaraisash would only need one or two prisoners to get all the info they needed. Pirates always talk.

Prazutis watched amusingly as the geonosians toiled within the factory, it had been centuries since he'd seen one of their kind he'd nearly forgotten just how hard they worked. Before long the group made their way into a particularly large audience chamber where the Droid General [member="Aut-X"] plugged himself in, declaring a bold statement of how information was power. While he agreed with [member="Darth Carnifex"] and his retort of the strength of the force.

Aut-X didn't know how true his words were.

The Lord of Lies they called him and with good reason. Back during the days of the One Sith Empire he had built an incredibly powerful, and feared intelligence network that came with him and avoided destruction. There was a terrible web of lies and deceit surrounding the ever illusive, shadowy Dark Lord of the Sith that served Kaine Zambrano. The network ran deep and far nothing ever seemed out of his reach as he built a treacherous web around those who wanted access to the Emperor. All secrets would be laid bare before the throne.

"I am satisfied with what I've seen here General Aut-X you run an efficient operation. I will instruct military high command to prepare for your droid units, and work out where best to use them. The Imperial Corps of Engineers arrival will be imminent to construct our interests here." The tone in his voice told everyone it was a closing statement. As Shadow Hand he also controlled who met and had access to Kaine. The job of running a massive galactic empire was an extremely busy and complex one and every minute Kaine had was one that needed to be spent constructively. Absolutely no one met Kaine without being directly or indirectly approved by himself and his agents, and he knew of every meeting that went on.

Aut-X's time with the Emperor was now up.

The reply came slowly, muddy sounding and muffled through the helmet- the blast had clearly damaged the comm system.

"I dink I broke my dose."

Gauntleted hands fumbled at the face plate until she hit the release. The inside of the helmet was a mess- the armor had protected her from the shot itself, but not the translated kinetic force- her head had slammed back when she'd been hit, then forward when she'd hit the ground. Her eyes had the dazed expression that said 'need to check for a concussion' while her nose had made most of the mess of blood.

Her comm crackled without particular function, but his sprang voices as it was meant to.

"Rook, Strider, pull back. Team three has secured the Regent. His forces are standing down across the city- your exit route is clear."

"Deam dree???"

Dante looked more annoyed than hurt. They hadn't been told they weren't the only ones going in. Sure, compartmentalize the mission and all, but that was important in this case for them to know! It was probably why the enemy troopers had been heading their way at all!

The visceral effect of the cursing bubbling from her was somewhat lessened by the fact that certain vowel sounds simply weren't working. Letting Morgan help her up, she tried to wipe the blood off of the inside of the visor, only succeeding in spreading it around more.

"Dey can pay dor my dry-deaning."

Leaning on Morgan for support the pair fell back, heading toward their pick up point. It didn't matter that they hadn't been the ones to complete the mission- they'd been a redundancy system for the main thrust it seemed- but as she leaned on him, she realized that, once again, he hadn't hesitated to put himself between her and danger.

She was subdued and quiet for most of the trip back.

Probably the concussion though.

Objective: 2—Contract for Cornerstone Scientific
Post: #3

The Chiss agent who’d been assigned to her had been furiously taking notes on everything she said. Notes by hand. She was at least partially impressed at the speed the man typed at his datapad with. Why not simply record her if he was going to take down everything she said? That way he could pay attention to what she was actually saying.

“They’re in good shape overall, but there are changes I would like to make.” She paused. “Not necessarily administrative ones. I like their Chief of Surgery.” He was an older man of Atrisian descent with a good head on his shoulders. Wise, all about the medicine, etc. He seemed to recognize his position when the Sith came marching in and was more than willing to work with them.

An cough of irritation from the Chiss urged her on as he looked up at her with the vaguest amount of irritation in his red eyes.

“Right,” She continued with a sigh. “They’ve got a competent crop of surgeons here save for a few that should be cut. Some of their equipment and instruments will need to be upgraded, courtesy of Cornerstone Scientific.”

In truth, she was a little excited to test out some of her newer products here.
