So is anybody going to actually provide any constructive criticism on the feedback & criticism sub-forum? Or is the 12 page love-in going to continue?
Criticism that is constructive:
Consequences are very important in writing characters. He's died once, now twice. An unlimited number of clone bodies, like palpatine ex machina, might diminish his means as a good character, or the absolute accomplishment of having managed to best him! Keep in mind, this is only an opinion, from somebody who enjoys authors who frequently kill characters (HP Lovecraft. GRRM.) . There's innate meaning in character Death, and consequence. With unlimited bodies, the consequence doesn't just have to be perma Death. Think a bit on Berric Dondarrion, from Game of thrones. Maybe each time he comes back, a little bit of him is lost in the void. Maybe each time he comes back, he's lost his capecy to do something.
The man might never truly die, and may be resurrected indefinitely, but investment would be great with that sense of loss. I've not had the chance to read all your work, and maybe you've done just that. You've got a good following going, so you're doing great things I figure!
Just ideas. This thread has definitely caught my interest. I'll be reading more about you in the weeks to come!
