Where the Kath Hounds Roam (Primeval Dominion of Dantooine)

Objective 2: Protect the Crystal Caves.

Standing there, The woman was not afraid. A man with my size and build, taking out her entire team in two hits was no normal feat of strength. However she activated her own yellow lightsaber. I smiled. She wasn't talking, and it was for a reason. Stopping myself, I reached out with the force to try and feel her. And well, it felt somewhat normal, only, she was absorbing the force around her. As though she were a giant vacuum in time and space.

I looked her over, tilting my head as I circled around her.

"You can't talk for some reason. Not even to command your troops. You are hiding something miss, I know not what it is. However, I ask that you leave the cave. Not because I am here, but because this is a sacred place to Force user kind."

I watched as she looked around the room. Looking at the crystals.

"Consider one of them yours if you beat me in a fair fight."

Purge

Laguz had long ago learned not to wonder about things like:

Will the human I just ate stay in my stomach when I transform?

Would that be considered cannibalism?

Can I even be a cannibal?

These, and many other questions a Shi'ido might ask themselves during the course of their long life, are all answered and explained in the holy book of xir people, Shapeshifting for Dummies™. Now, if Laguz hadn't been an impatient fether and stuck around for long enough to be introduced to those sacred pages, all of xir doubts might've been put to rest. As it was, however, the shifter had skipped planet before being enlightened, doomed to wander the galaxy forever unsure.

But, really, was it cannibalism or not?

The Host Lord was alerted that the Sith had landed. This was excellent news indeed, their assistance was more than just valuable. Did anyone have any idea how difficult it was to purge an entire world without using turbolasers from above? Anja wanted the world mostly intact, not that she didn't mind if villages were burned and all but destroyed; as long as their people died with them.

"Keep up!", she wanted to make sure that those following weren't holding her back.

One of her Sephi guards seemed to be upset towards the quality of this 'paradise'. Gulandi were born on Gulamendis... It wasn't exactly a nice place to live, and smelled of death. So perhaps this was a bad change of environment.

The wind gently stroked her hair as she rode on her wheel bike. An escort of twelve Hunter-Seeker Droids followed her at three hundred kilometers per hour, speeding through the gently rolling plains of Dantooine. She had no interest being her, with exception of fulfilling her duties.

She slowed down her speeder bike as she came on the outskirts of a settlement. Kitsune quickly reaccelerated forward, in high hopes of finding something worthwhile to take. She entered the settlement, and the Hunter-Seeker Droids began exterminating any humanoids within the encampment. Slowly walking up to the storage facilities, Kitsune opened the stores of the town to find a large stockpile of Vincha.

"Wonderful."

Okay, so let's go back to the part where we trick a whole religion into worshiping us. Yup. How are we going to pull that off? What do you mean? Well, it seems a littl improbable at the best and impossible at the worst. That is also what they said about the Ziost-affair, or Lianna or Coruscant or even the Field of Blades. I suppose so, but c'mon. Look at it this way, billions of people worship the craziest things right now, flying purple unicorns, sentient almighty banthas (all heil) and the cloud gods of Corellia.

All things that never do anything. They don't win your Wales, don't bring in cash or food and they certainly ain't standing with an umbrella next to you on a rainy day. Yet, people believe regardless of that. Why is that? Gotta feeling you are about to tell me.

People want to believe, my friend. Desperately so even. When they actually meet an entity that can -do- things for and against them? It should put them over the edge. Besides, we ain't gonna be doing it for eternity, just a few weeks at most. We will probably grow bored eventually anyway.

Fine, fine.

She sighed to herself. This man was stalling or was he. Slowly she ripped off the metal mask that covered her lower face. Again she pointed at him then the exit. The urge to talk was killing her. But if she did so, then she would feel a tinge of guilt for sending him away to a place she tried to forget since her return. Then another idea popped in her head.

She powered down her weapon and pointed at the crystals, herself, and raised on finger to note she didn't want nothing from this cave except a crystal. With another gesture, she motioned taking a crystal, pointed to herself, and then the exit. Her red eyes stared at him hoping he would compromise. She wasn't her to loot or plunder the cave, she was here to investigate, and find a crystal.

It was odd that Anja instantly agreed to all of the terms Cryax had requested, but what was even odder was that afterwards, she asked him to join her on a little stroll around a crystal cave. Unaccustomed to the lack of veiled threats or gruelling hours of vicious negotiating, he figured there had to be some kind of catch, and he would eventually find out what it was. In the event that there wasn't, the Chiss tapped on his Datapad, sending a message to his Bothan assistant, Frab. Or Fleb. He could never remember the guy's name. "I will have a contract sent to your legal team as soon as..."

With an irritated glare, he noticed that Anja and her team had walked off. The paranoid Chiss supposed that he could be walking right into a trap, but he had to admit he was curious about this crystal cave. Perhaps he could come back with some shiny goods for the black market. So with credit signs in his eyes and his sense of exploration piqued, he followed the Primeval leader and her underlings to where he assumed were those mysterious caves.

Hurrying along with Anja, Mikkel drew his orange lightsaber in his right hand, keeping his pistol in his left. "We've got company ahead, Host Lord," Mikkel said, having a strange feeling about what they were going to approach. Was it a good idea to have an unarmed woman with the group? Mikkel looked back to Delyna, who had a determined look on her face.

No, it's not. But it was her choice, and it's my duty to keep her alive, Mikkel thought. If things take a turn for the worse, I'll send her back to the ship.

She wanted a crystal. Clearly done by her pointing out and then to the door. I smiled. Opening my left hand, The hammer flew to my hand, and was placed in the belt loop, as well as the saber put away. I pointed to her, making a clear note of what I wanted in return.

"Take one that you desire. But you owe me a fight miss."

I took a look at her. She seemed almost nervous about this all. I shrugged my shoulders and watched to see what she would do.

"Come back when you are ready my dear."

Kitsune quickly moved the crates of Vincha onto a nearby grav vehicle before loading her own wheel bike on the grav vehicle. The Hunter-Seeker droids simply collected a small pile of rare metals, mostly in the form of jewelry, and Kitsune deposited those within the sleeves of her robe.

Moving forward, she returned to the ISS Swarm Nest with her findings, and hoped that she would be able to establish stable Vincha farms and processing units on Dantooine. Another day, another day.

Spitting on the ground, Kitsune cursed the unfruitful grounds of the planet and returned back to the Inari Shogunate.

Location: Dantooine enroute to Ruined Base
Objective: Secure Base
General NPCs: Some? Shall update when confirmed.
Chiasa specific NPCs: 2 R.I.C.O. Units

"Defensive ring around the Minister and move to cover as a unit as soon as we drop! Jun, Kal, you're on scout! We're sending some clankers to have a look around as well, but you know how they are.."

"Bolts for brains, yessir!"

A Rodian and a lanky Artrisian youth were selected to be the runners, and Chiasa smirked slightly at the defensive ring bit.

I bet, when it's literally your balls on the line...

"Are we purging Ma'am?"

Technically the onjectives they'd received had specifically said they had to..

"Any resistance is to be met with deadly force. Depending on numbers, just round up anyone who wants to surrender."

"Any orders about uh.."

The Twi'lek sighed and rolled her eyes. They were a criminal organization after all.

"They get to live, that's enough charity on our part. I doubt the Primeval are going to be sending us a bonus, so loot if you like. If I hear of any in-fighting before this fort is secured or anyone taking liberties with sentients..."

She looked pointedly at the R.I.C.O. units. Mercs who'd thought it was hilarious when the Zabrak was threatened by the Twi'lek were suddenly slightly hunched over and not laughing any more.

Do we have her in sight? Yup. What is she doing? Err. Err? It seems like she is runnin. Running? Jump. How quaint. Pretty much. Should we help her somehow? Why? Isn't that what Gods are supposed to do? Help their subjects in what they are trying to do? Well, when you put it like that... I suppose so, yes.

So... yeah, yeah. I don't really think Sargon is that kind of God though. Like ya said. What the hell do mortals know about Gods? Yeah, I suppose I am right about that. So what do you want to do? Hmm, I think just killing everyone around her would be a bit much, wouldn't you agree? I suppose so, yes.

Hmm.

We don't want to make it too obvious, remember?

Good point, just give her some energy.

Fine.

And so it was that [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] would suddenly feel a little bit lighter, her legs carrying her easier and all that beneficial crap.

Killing and Purging...
Anja Aj'Rou, [member="Laguz Vald"]

A fruit stand. A mixture of reds and oranges and yellows and greens. Some were ripe, some not so much, and some were discounted because they hadn't sold in the past week. If there was one thing that the Hand of the One Sith couldn't abide, it was the selling of spoiled food. A kid could get sick from that. The pellet slug would make quick work of it as it bounced through both the stand and the vendor. Good riddance, he thought, laughing to himself as he pumped the shotgun.

Reaching down to the body, the residents scattering to the four winds like ants shot with the spray hose, Gabriel lifted the man with one arm and flung him under hand, sending him scuttling through the sand. Firing off another round, he defaced the spoiled food vendor for the crimes he had committed. Walking down the middle of the town, like a lone ranger of old, Gabriel pushed out the last three rounds, sending them violently into a local store, before ducking behind another stand in attempt to evade return fire.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5. He tapped the pistol grip of the shotgun, solid rounds this time. That'll do pig, that'll do. He ran out of cover, firing one round from the gun hold with one hand, as he cleared a street and ducked behind another stand. The small missile hit true, the man upon the rooftop falling to the ground in a plume of dust. Cocking the weapon, the Sith Lord caught his breath and yelled.

"Ya know, it's funner if you all keep hiding...maybe actually hit me once or twice. I can handle the pain, even kind of like it..." Just ask [member="Matsu Xiangu"]. Lifting himself once more, he felt the pressure of a shot graze his armor, as he returned fire and backed into a local store, currently abandoned and filled with the stench of fear.

She gave the man the biggest smile ever. She quickly went to work taking a crystal from the cluster as delicate as she possibly could. Placing the crystal in her pouch, she headed for the exit and as she passed the man, she nodded at him. With a small gesture, she crossed her heart letting him know she will honour his request.

She left the cave and as she did so, she returned the mask to her face.

I watched as she grabbed one of the many crystals within the cave. Her smile made it worth not fighting now. As she was starting to walk out, I reached out and spoke,

"A good leader never forgets her men behind."

Using the force, I lifted the men's heads and shook them just a little. Enough to wake them. Most of them were standing. Scared that I was still there.

"Begone, Follow thy leader and leave this cave."

Small mercies.

The word came in through his earbud comm: the first two transports were away, and the Primeval had taken long enough to get here that the third transport had been successfully loaded as well. Shule made for the hangar bay as the third transport and its escorts lifted off. He took a minute, perhaps two, to look around and say goodbye to his home. Then he hopped into the very last ship in the hangar, his old E-25, and took off to help the transport make its hyperspace schedule.

The Primeval forces would find the Dantooine Jedi Enclave abandoned, its personnel and records removed. The enclave had fallen without a sabre raised. Such was the price of knowing the future: sometimes you looked like a coward.

Exeunt.

Geronivous would be robbed of all evil today, for his writer was working a job of very evil conditions and came back to find that everything was evilly dom'd before this writer had a chance to write evil once more.

Geronivous sourly skulked in an evil cloud of furious evil and surveyed the evacuated bastion. Next time... Next time, there would be evil--and lots of it.

*Destiny set foot into the crystal caves of Dantooine. She had arrived to an abandoned Jedi enclave as she first set foot on the planet: no records and close to nothing left suggesting the Jedi had ever been there. That changed as she explored deeper within, a Jedi holocron was left during the hasty retreat. This would be viewed later, but for now she intended to find several crystals with which lightsabers could be made. She was not force sensitive even human; however, as an HRD designed to fight even Jedi and Sith she was well qualified to learn and wield a lightsaber. She ventured deep into the crystal caves, something at the edge of her programming made her uneasy, yet she was compelled to find a specific crystal. Somehow, she had the distinct impression that someone, or something, was calling her further within. Was it an error in her programming? Only time would tell...*

Sometimes people got busy. Other times they lagged behind, unable to complete one duty because of another. The pilot had been unable to land them close enough to the enclave. By the time the Vidvhansaka got there it was empty. They radioed back to Everyn and told her of the news. She frowned, still moving towards the crystal caves, before responding.

"Secure the facility. It will be a staging grounds for our next efforts on the planet. We'll make it our base. Sounds delightful, does it not? Father will be proud."
She continued scowling all the way to her destination... Hopefully there would still be some gems by the time she got there. Oh, some people could just be oh so greedy...

OOC: (dont know how to spoiler things, but, I AM AN HRD YA BUGGER [member="Azrael Asura"] I thought that was my thing :'( )

*Destiny was drawn deeper into the caves, the damp air swirled around her as the almost hypnotizing call of the crystal caves guided her. She came upon a crystal which was a bright gold. Rare and in a deep and hidden corner of these caves, she couldn't help but reach forward, grasping the crystal in hand and feeling a strange sensation, not through her robot body, but through her mind. This didn't feel like programming...*

Destiny: "What is happening to me"

*She noted something, a voice somewhere in the crystal caves. She couldn't tell if it was coming or going but she heard someone. How did she miss them on the way in? Was it luck, or something else?* [member="Xander Carrick"]
