Private Where The Light Leads (Draven and Sola)

Draven generally discounted happenings to just simply pathways the force guided him on. Sadly, this was not a moment the teenager could do such. Draven had managed to swim to shore after his foolish decision to try and pilot a vessel on his own. Lead to him misreading an error code and finding his craft meeting an unfortunate ending. In fact Draven marked off his survival as the only thing the force played a part in. Though it did not spare him the bruises and bashings his descent had caused.

Matters worse off. Draven was unarmed (which was fine for him) on an unfamiliar world. With next to no supplies beyond the robes and pants he wore. Now soaking wet from frigid waters. His head was pounding causing him to flinch occasionally. As well as he had no idea where if at all he could find civilisation in hopes that he could improve his odds of survival. Though that was truly a lottery style set of chances. As if there was people on this world. He had no guarantee they would not just kill him off and be done with it.

Draven did his best to focus and try to mold the force to provide some heat. He was.. At best semi successful. He was pretty sure he managed just enough to delay any ill effects from the climate and the water. Though he felt within his bones that he was still on a timer. He shivered at the thought. Draven had undergone training in various uses of the force. Though he still had a long way to go. Unfortunately in this case he was more or less winging it and living off a prayer. He wasn't playing off his strong suit which was influencing other objects and at times people. Through telekinesis. Which came naturally to him through the force. Still had a lot of growing to do within the force. Though he was skilled where he was skilled.

Draven looked around and began to set out. Heading towards some trees he saw out in the distance. While he reflected on the last few weeks events. Doing his best to keep his mind centred. If anything Draven was not going to die this day. He was sure of that. Draven just did not know why he was aware of that. Under different circumstances Draven would be enjoying finding himself on a new world. Reaching out and feeling the life of the planet around him. In this instance as mentioned. He was busy buying himself some time. His teeth had even began to chatter.

Draven found his way to a tree line. Draven liked trees. They were solid and well rooted. Draven was tempted to lean against one and just rest. Though he knew better than to do that. He shivered again and scowled. Only himself to blame really. Though polar plunging had not been in his agenda when he had set out. With some luck things would pan out. He had to trust the force and keep trecking on. Like many times his will was the only thing keeping the teenager going forward.

Sola was on patrol with Shadow when the falling star that was Draven Eterena Draven Eterena 's ship was spotted. More were coming?

Suddenly Weik felt smaller to her, her eyes looking to the skies far more than usual, keeping a look out for stars that moved. Weik was not the only planet with life left, she had learned. And although that fact was wonderful to hear, it was also discomforting news as well. With airships that flew vast distances in a short time, it had appeared that the rest of the Galaxy was far more advanced than they were. That put Weikians at a disadvantage.

Yet it seemed as though the Force Nexus spared them by making ships crash when they approached, which was a good thing.

Shadow let Sola lead the way through the trees in the direction of the fallen ship. She wore a grey fur cloak to keep her warm and kept her hatchet in hand as she walked. Both could sense Draven up ahead for he wasn't as quiet walking in the snow as they were. And it wasn't until they spotted him that they both stopped, not yet even trying to attempt to speak to him. It wasn't Sola's way.

Draven was definitely not accustomed to the tundra. Sure, he'd been giving teachings about various climates. Though he spent most of his fifteen years on worlds consisting of forests and warm to sometimes humid climates. Draven shivered again as his head pounding worsened. He decided lands of snow were not his preferred vacation spot. Then again it could be his migraine and the fact he was soaked which was playing part in his assessment. He didn't have really the time nor attention span to be enjoying the land.

Draven was under the impression suddenly. Someone was tracking him or at least nearby. Draven wasn't sure where though. His ability to determine his surroundings was quickly devolving to. Oww.. And Cold. Both of which were not pleasant feelings to have be the forefront of attention. Draven still continued forward however. Determined to make it to at least somebody. If they chose to kill him off. Draven would consider it a morale victory that at least he denied the chilling air the satisfaction.

It wasn't until a bit longer till he finally spotted a person as well as a big black canine of some sort. Draven had to do a double take on that one. He was not used to the concept of animal tamers. Despite hearing such things existed. Draven looked to the woman's hand and noticed a hatchet. Despite being distant from the person. Draven couldn't help but take a few more steps back. Weapons were bad and while Draven was gradually getting better about them. He still had a general distrust towards people who so casually carried them. He hated the prospect of a fight, and right now he doubted he was in a condition he could much more then delay his inevitable defeat by a moment or two.

Draven found he stepped back into the trunk of a tree. He glanced up at the tall specimen and blinked. Before looking to the woman and relaxing back. Allowing the trunk to support him. He glanced to the canine. Then back to the woman and slumped a little. The cold finally was taking it's toll. He was not one to wear shoes. Nor would this change is opinion of the matter. Though he should of learned techniques to aid with body heat regulation. Oh, well. Hindsight was always more accurate then foresight. Really Draven acknowledged his fate likely rested in the hands of this stranger. Though between the hatchet he occasionally eyed suspiciously. The animal companion, and the woman's indesire to communicate Draven wasn't sure what he should think.

Draven eventually mustered his nerves. Before managing a gesture of greeting. Waving his right hand. "H..h..hi..hiya." Draven forced out through his shivering and chatters. It was difficult. Though he could only hope she acknowledged the gesture as a greeting and not a declaration of war or anything rude. Draven wasn't quite sure about foreign occupations. Especially when he wasn't even sure what world he was on.

A youngling? Well not quite so young, yet not fully grown either. Sola saw the fear in his eyes, his actions furthering her observations. And he was cold. Cold and wet.

Her shoulders relaxed as Draven Eterena Draven Eterena waved and spoke and she slowly approached while Shadow remained where he was. "Hello. You fell from the sky, didn't you?" Sola removed her fur cloak, revealing her leather armour and held it out to him. "Come. You won't last long out here soaking wet like that." She clipped her hatchet to her back. "There is shelter nearby." Her face only hinted at some concern, however she was troubled with his presence, her eyes darting back up to the sky. "Are there more of you?"

Draven was hesitant to approach. Despite fully agreeing that the woman. Who chose to reply. Which was a good thing. Talking was better then fighting. Chose to express that he was in a grim predicament being both cold and went on an unfamiliar world. Though as she sheathed her hatchet. Draven let out a sigh of relief. Relaxing more so now that the threat of being faced with a bladed tool was out of the equation for the time being.

Draven was curious about the leather armor. What kind of civilization was he working with on this planet? Oof.. Another cold bit of numbness and pain shot through him. Tick tock said the clock apparently. Draven glanced towards the canine to be sure it would not get aggressive if the teenager approached it's master. Though once convinced he was safe he approached. Oh.. Right. She had asked questions. Um.. Answers.. Answers.. Draven contemplated the most truthful statements. He winced and gently took the fur cloak and wrapped himself.

"F..f..fell." Draven confirmed and nodded his head. Achievement unlocked. Process a simple response. The second question was trickier to answer so simply yet remain truthful. He glanced up to the sky. "A..an.any m..m..more p.p.pe.people. N..n..not w..w..with m..me. W..was A..alone." Draven expressed truthfully. The prospect of a shelter was sounding like quite a good plan. So, for the sake of continuing on Draven nodded and followed where the warrior like woman wished to lead. His suspicion was fading as he was sure if she wanted to be a threat to him. She would of already acted and he wouldn't be in furs which did help some, and on his way to shelter.

Sola watched Draven Eterena Draven Eterena , but not as suspiciously as before. He was ill prepared for Weik. The fact that he didn't even wear boots was a prime example of that.

Shadow followed along, yet not too close. He knew fear when he smelled it.

She led him through the forest towards Vossport. The Capital City was awake, though not quite in the ways that the youngling would be used to. There was no electricity really. Mostly lamps hanging from above. Goods were being carted through the streets and the Vossport City Guard patrolled the area.

Sola took him to one of the lodges where the common room had a fireplace already lit and warm. "This should warm you up and keep away the frostbite." She sat down in one of the chairs. "What's your name?"

Draven was glad the animal companion kept it's distance. Draven struggled with.. Emotionally connecting at times. His empathy technique screwed him due to that reason. In addition to it's unpredictability when and who he would connect to and the pain and emotions of other's he would have to shoulder. Right now he was suffering his own ordeals. Self inflicted mostly. Though it didn't make it any less difficult.

He might of been.. Awed by the state of the settlement. If not for the need of a heat source. Luckily Draven would soon be lead to one and he mothed his way over to the fire. The moment he saw it. Settling down as he allowed the warmth to lap over him. He glanced back to the woman who expressed it should him him. Giving a nod in agreement. "Thank you." He said appreciative. Taking a moment longer. "My name is Draven Eterena."

Draven felt exhaustion settling over him. Now that he knew he was safe and he was warming up. Mixed with the experience he had under went. Exhaustion was a natural response. Still Draven felt now was not the time to sleep. So, he shifted himself and focused. Waiting patiently for anything else the woman may wish to inquire about. Draven was not wanting to pry to deeply into his own questions until he knew he could improve his condition.

" Draven Eterena Draven Eterena ..." she repeated slowly, as if searching to see if such a name seemed familiar at all. And it wasn't. "I am Sola Wessiri. Where do you come from?" Given than he had fallen from the sky in an airship, she knew that he didn't come from Weik. Yet she was starting to piece together a map back in the Adamite Tower. She needed to know where people were coming from. Politics was not her strong suit yet if she was going to give the Trades Guild Masters word of what was going on, it was best that she had a lot of information to give them. Of course they might get after her for not reaching out to them sooner, but she had a lot on her plate. She was running the Paladins on her own and they were smaller in number than before. All thanks to Varlo Varlo and the Lucites.

Sola was glad for the fire as well, given that without her cloak, the cold chill had reached into her bones as well. However she hid any of her discomfort, just like she hid most things about her.

Draven shifted enough to face Sola before giving a polite bow. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Miss Wessiri." Draven responded to her with a hint of tiredness in his tone now. Draven still had a lot to learn about shutting off his emotions, or at least concealing them. Teenage years did no favor to the efforts and he was spending most of his self control efforts towards dealing with the problems of other's and separating himself from everyone else's feelings and emotions.

Draven took a moment longer. "I reside on a planet known as Kashyyyk. Where I was raised under an organisation know as The Silver Jedi Concord. Well did reside. Unfortunately my only ship is somewhere beneath the currents of your ocean. I was travelling from a planet named Commenor where I was attending a training session. It was a reckless decision. Though I decided to.. Um.. Borrow initially was my intention. A ship from the order to do a bit of travelling. Though it's not going to be so easy to return it now." Draven admitted truthfully and rubbed the back of his neck.

Draven eventually removed the fur cloak. While he offered it back to Sola. "I am starting to feel better. I really am grateful for your help. I am sorry my decisions had consequences which inadvertently affected you and your world."

Draven gave a soft sigh and then yawned. While he allowed the fire to begin drying his robes and pants. Now that the cloak was removed. He began to subconsciously reach out with the force. To start feeling his surroundings. Starting with the fire place. Draven would snap back if he was addressed again. Though he was seeking an anchor to start building deeper thoughts upon.

"Jedi?" She didn't question Draven Eterena Draven Eterena as though she had never heard of them, but moreso out of surprise that yet another has come. Cassus D'Kai Cassus D'Kai was the first, and now here was another. "What led you to Wild Space?"

Sola took back the cloak and lay it on the back of her chair. The warmth of the fireplace was helping her too. Yet perhaps she needed to take him elsewhere. If he was a Jedi, he might feel better to be at the Adamite Tower than Vossport. It was difficult to say as she wasn't quite sure of how the Outsiders operated. Their airships and everything about them was vastly different than what was available on Weik. All that Sola knew was that she needed to protect Weik at all costs.

Draven looked to Sola Wessiri and thought about the question. Drawing himself back and focusing. "I suppose the term would be wanderlust. It was my first time piloting a ship and these past few weeks have been the only time I have spent off of Kashyyyk aside from when I was a small child. Roughly a decade I suppose. I just felt like adventuring and wasn't so worried about the destination until things went side ways."

Draven gave a gentle and somewhat sheepish smile. "Isn't that most things though. I probably would of been better off just returning home. Though sometimes it can feel like a prison to be isolated to a single area when you know you can visit many different worlds beyond."

Draven studied Sola and noticed she seemed to be trying to decide something. He relaxed back and simply watched. Waiting patiently to see what other questions may be asked, or what decisions might be made. He was slowly catching a second wind. Knowing it would be awhile until he could find some rest.

"Is that what all younglings do out there? Travel on a whim to wherever it pleases them?" Sola couldn't decide on whether or not that was a troubling thought. If Outsiders just happened to 'stumble' upon Weik, then how long before the wrong types of Outsiders came? And what if they brought along an army with them?

She pursed her lips as she thought over what needed to be done. There was plenty of information to be gathered still, yet there wasn't a whole lot of time left that she could afford. "A few of us now are only starting to learn that there are other worlds out there with life. For hundreds of years we were of the belief that the Galaxy was killed off due to plagues and that those on Weik were all that were left..." Sola got to her feet, grabbing her cloak from the chair and holding it out to Draven Eterena Draven Eterena . "Come. We must go to the Tower."

Draven got up and looked to the fire for a brief moment. Before turning back to Sola Wessiri and standing hesitantly not wishing to be pulled from the heat of the flame. Though still he did as she asked and got onto his feet. Then took the cloak back into his possession. While his clothes were near dry there was still some dampness and so Draven knew better then to try and forgo the warmth of the fur.

Draven was unsure what to think of her first comment. "We all have made poor choices. Mine just inadvertently landed me here." He replied in a calm manner. After a time being. "I meant no harm to this worl, or your people. Nor do I intend to inflict any in the time to come. I do not like people being harmed." Draven expressed in a calm manner. While he followed where she led once more.

"What is the Tower?" Draven finally decided to inquire. He was young and there was only so much one could take before curiosity caught up and kicked you. He would follow regardless of whether or not he was about to be put on a chopping block. Though he was hopeful that was not the case. Though it would ease him to know one way or another where the will of the force was going to land him by this evening's ending.

"Most....Jedi....are of the same line of thinking. No harm." Unless of course it was necessary.

Sola led Draven Eterena Draven Eterena back outside. Fortunately the winds had died down somewhat, so that would at least help her to retain some of her body heat. Moving also helps and the walk would take them at least an hour.

"The Adamite Tower. It is the place where the Paladins live and train. We are similar to your Jedi. It is believed that we may even be descended from your Order. What we are leaving is Vossport, the Capital City of Weik. I will bring you back here in time. And once winter is broken, we may try to get your airship out of the water."

Draven listened to the explanation and seemed to relax some more. Well.. At least he fell into the most able of hands to fall into. If this worlds.. Paladins as they liked to be referred to as. Were branched off from an ancient division of Jedi there was a good chance they practiced into the light side of the force. Even if there studies might vastly vary from what the modern Jedi understand as the light side.

He walked close to Sola Wessiri glancing back towards the capital they were leaving. While he gave a nod of his head. He paused a bit and shivered some as a feeling washed over him. He figured he'd need to meditate soon. He felt this feeling not too long ago. Something was calling to him through the force.

Draven glanced to Sola as she discussed fetching his ship. Causing him to nod his head. "That would be appreciated. I will work diligently to try and get it restored though it may take awhile." He expressed and nodded. Honestly Draven didn't know If he could fix the ship. Though he owed it to the people of this world to do his best. Should they help retrieve it from the water.

Draven walked along and looked about. Once more he called upon the force. Trying to focus and generate a heat source. Unfortunately the results were unpredictable. As out of nowhere a small flame lept into existence and caused Draven to jump as the flame leapt down and hit the ground the snow snuffing it out. Staring suspiciously at the flame. While he scowled. Why was this being so difficult? He warmed himself up earlier to a semi successful manner. Now he accidentally was conjuring fire?? Draven frowned some and muttered some words which would not be so kind on different worlds. While he shrunk back and just began to quietly follow along. Making no more attempts at messing with stuff he did not yet understand.

"I'm sorry to inform you that we do not have airships of our own. Repairs might not come so easily." Though there could be other ways that the Paladins could help. She was privy to some secrets that the Lucites and others had tried to find out for themselves. But they weren't worthy, nor trusted. Especially the Lucites. Such knowledge was dangerous in their already dangerous hands.

Sola noticed Draven Eterena Draven Eterena using the Force to try to warm himself up. She had seen others do the same, yet wasn't gifted in that skill herself. "It won't be long. We just have to keep moving. And if I must, I can carry you." She was tall and more than capable of carrying a teenaged youngling. It just might be too embarrassing for him.

Draven frowned and glanced towards Sola Wessiri while he thought. "No thank you.. The fur cloak is plenty warm enough. It's just I was hopeful I could broaden my understanding of techniques through the force. I wouldn't consider it a complete failure.. Though it wasn't a success by any extent. Unfortunately techniques influencing and relating to my environment have always been easier for me to grasp then internal techniques." Draven calmly explained his actions.

Draven wasn't sure if that said anything about himself as an individual. Though he decided it would not be wise to dwell to deeply upon that at the moment. Instead Draven kept moving along like Sola strongly encouraged him to do. Draven even picked up his pace to try and help get them to their destination sooner. He wanted to get over the need to do list. So he could get both to a point he could meditate some as well as rest. That and he didn't want Sola taking too much trouble from offering him aid. He figured she probably wasn't doing too great being down her fur cloak.

The fact that she kept moving helped Sola to ward off the chill. Of course she felt it, bit it wasn't quite reaching into her bones just yet. She noticed that Draven Eterena Draven Eterena was doing his best to keep them moving, which was a good thing.

For a time Sola was silent as they walked. It wasn't really in her nature to commit to smalltalk. She was used to being on her own, or with Shadow. Speaking of which, the vask-wolf made his appearance, moving alongside them in a trot. Sola felt the need to introduce them. "That's Shadow. He's my friend and partner when it comes to protecting the woods. Your airship caught his attention, as well as the rest of the pack. But you needn't worry. He doesn't sense you as a threat, so the others will be told." That put them in less danger from the packs in the woods.

After having been around the long black canine the first time. Draven more or less decided it was one of those. He was no harm to it and it was no harm to him unless either was forced to change that status quo. So, curiously he listened to Sola Wessiri as she explained who Shadow was. Curiously enough there was a man named Red whom Draven had met. Much like the creature. The name was quite fitting for multiple purposes.

Draven kept his pace steadfast surprisingly well for his youthfulness. While he seemed to do his best to shrug off the terrains effects. "Animals and people.. Things life courses through. I have an uncanny curse to tap into their emotions and know when they've been harmed or when they have felt pleasant sensations. Without any control over this skill. You would think I would be more skilled socially because of it. Though really I do not understand other's very well. Even if I mean them well. I've spent most of my childhood raising up mental barriers so I can differentiate myself from other's." Draven spoke in turn. Not sure really why he mentioned that. Though deciding the talk helped. "As such.. I struggle with fixing matters. Always been better at the prevention of harm then the healing process."

Sola listened to Draven Eterena Draven Eterena as he spoke, keeping her eyes on the terrain ahead of them. The fortunate thing about snow was that it nearly illuminated the ground all around them. There was no need for torches to guide them. Plus she knew this path like the back of her hand, having travelled it hundreds of times.

"You're an empath." she stated. There wasn't much need to elaborate as Draven had pretty much already done so. But she decided to do so a little anyways, after a moment of silence. "For some it's a burden, but for others it's a gift. Having skills in preventing harm is a good quality to have. Being social....is not necessary." Sola wasn't exactly a social butterfly herself. Especially after her parents were murdered and a once trusted friend and Paladin was involved. Her faith and trust in people plummeted that day, and she hadn't even bothered to regain any of it. Some might call her a snob because of it, yet for her it was a survival tactic. And so far it had done her well enough.
