Where Your Heartache Exists

Where does your character's heartache exist? Is it in a person? A place? A time? A system? An idea? Does that thing that they keep with them drag them down, or does it motivate them?

For Preliat, it had to be Elrood. Preliat, being fresh into the military of the Mandalorians, was unprepared for the horrors of the Dark Harvest, and it subsequently turned him from a green, family-loving momma's boy to a savage, warmongering, violent and borderline sadistic soldier.

abandonment

She felt she had to abandon her parents, to keep them safe. She blames the Jedi for this.

She also hates the Jedi because they just take children as she see`s it.

She took it hard when mandalorians kicked her out their territory.

My heartache was being exiled from home, and then having almost everybody who'd ever met me die through a circumstance I could never have controlled. And then, I lost my 'daughter', who is still in a coma.

Zatten's biggest demon is that his mother was killed because of his ability to transform slightly. Killed by Republic Jedi, no less. Sure, he killed them relatively easily, but they still got his mom, and then he was totally separated from his dad.

Evard's is the fact that he, himself, destroyed his home. Killed people he'd known for years, and lost everybody he'd ever loved.

My exile from the remnants of the Crystalsong Ruferalahuin... But that's okay, because Zeltrons exist! Way sexier...

But really, it's not knowing my parents that gets me. They got exiled, like I did, and got killed for attempting to come back... Not that I knew it was them, at the time.

All of the above....

...all my own doing, but that's irrelevant.

Truly devastating stuff. <_<

Mine would have to be back when @Asha Seren supposedly died, who Thurion regarded as both master and mother. He was only 12 at the time.

A close second would be his older brother's death when he was 7, which was the starting point of his entire character.

Disney's Princess
That one time in college with that one girl. Heartbreak man. :(

IC, probably the Meridian death scene in 2012.
