The Galactic Alliance is gaining momentum right now, but the Republic Jedi are the original. Silver Sanctum are the equivalent of 'hipster' Jedi.

We have lost much of our former glory, but the Jedi Order of the Republic remains bound to our principles to protect and preserve justice. Join us and you will be enfolded in an order with a long and proud heritage. Our numbers have dwindled, but we remain.

A little rougher around the edges, but not affiliated with the Republic Jedi, which maybe a good thing currently, but still there to give them back-up and always fighting for the Light.

Sages, Shadows, Guardians...various cells within to suit your Jedi style with plenty of Dominions and threads for Padawans to Masters and all in between.

From a darker perspective, I will simply name the Order that has the greatest potential to actually do something against the current regimes.

The New Jedi Order of the Galactic Alliance is your best bet. The Republic Jedi and the Silver Jedi, while both exceptional in their own ways, simply do not pose as large a threat as the NJO. So, If your goal is to do tangible good, my suggestion is to sign up with them.

Important thing is to enjoy who you are writing with, what narrative they are trying to create. My suggestion is to do a bit of research, each group is different and filled with different writers. They aren't mutually exclusive by any means.

So do a bit of homework. The NJO may fit for some, the SSC for others, and the TJO for everyone else.

It might help to know the plans for your dude.

Luke as a weapon (RotJ), and the NJO from Legends is the inspiration for the NJO (to me, but I don't write a Jedi). Last stand Jedi, willing to hit harder, but are very particular about the what. You use the dark side? You may get arrested. But you'll be pummeling Sith and Knights of Ren all the live-long-day.

Well. Alpha is the, "I protect the weak and innocent, but on my terms." kind of guy. Seems the Alliance might be best for that. Guess we will see how this goes! Thanks everyone for the insight!
