So anyone who would enjoy being the creator of an altered Withered Smoke ?? Weaker, but less volatile..and actually able to be reasoned with. The character I have in mind can either possibly be a full on enemy or a begrudging ally depending on the character you uses personality! o:

As he said, that, I would still talk to the writer and speak to him about what he can or cannot change.

Yeah, I saw that message, and I trust HK, but it wasn't HK's decision to make them NPC only. It was actually the staff's decision to do that. So I think you might need staff approval to do it.

I had more in mind a separate species not related to Withered Smoke that just had similar properties and nature Sorry I should have clarified. But that way you would get your species without treading on the rule that the Smoke can't be controlled by PC or NPC as to modify them one would need to capture them, which would make them controllable.

So yeah, you can use the sub as inspiration with similar powers and like I said previous, being weaker than Withered Smoke in some respects, but different origins and history unrelated to Withered Smoke. It could be another failed Sithspawn alchemy experiment, however, there's plenty of those around.
