Why a Bantha?

Zathra continued to whistle until she heard the question and stopped to think back a while to what her mother said. She had forgotten for a while why he left until she then suddenly remembered at this moment out of nowhere. Zathra kept her empty and bandaged arm at her side and she also slowed down while speaking due to her getting a bit tired of carrying the bag all of this way but it was no different then military supplies just it was all placed on one side of her body which was a problem.
"Will, when I asked my mom a few years ago.....she said that he left due to some complications in the military, being blackmailed and also because soon after he returned to his military position of being a general in a foreign military because well he grew up as a slave he was branded a traitor and he had to flee the military."
Zathra shuddered slightly while talking about it. She hated talking about this and it kind of made her emotional but she blinked away a few tears while then continuing to walk forward at a constant pace. She also hated talking about her hate and fear of force users the most and if Sitara asked why she hated Force users so she would just ignore the question. Zathra wiped some of her short hair out of her eyes and some of her dark brown hair became visible. Her true hair color was dark brown and not black and orange although she did like the black quite a lot.

That was something about Tyrannus that she didn’t really know. Well, masters had a hard life when they were younger, she guessed. Must’ve been hard. She really hoped the best for him, he was relatively kind compared to most and didn’t act like a creeper. Plus, well, apparently he had a wife and kids. Zathra may have been a little kooky, but hey, she had daddy issues too.

And if there was one thing Sitara could relate to, it was daddy issues.

I’m sorry to hear that.” She said, patting the girl’s shoulder lightly. She was honestly sympathetic, but she really couldn’t say much. Zathra’s dad was a good man; he wasn’t really her type, but he was a good man. He was a lot kinder than other masters she knew, why, some of them were just eye candy.

Well, Zathra, your dad has a better life now. He’s with us. He actually taught me a few things I know.

"Thank you. Well that's good...I'm glad he had a good life now instead of still fighting in the arenas and other stuff. Also, please tell me you aren't a force user...because I saw that you had a lightsaber and well.....I'd rather not go into detail about it let's just say...........well their is a reason I hate and fear force users mainly in part due to.......being h-harassed by them a-as a c-child!!!"
Zathra walks ahead of Sitara to hide some tears of those memories as a child. She hated force users and the good lot of them and she would never find the user of a force user no matter how friendly they could be.....although some of them were good most of the time. Zathra just kep the bag of food slinged of her shoulder as she kept on walking forwards while wiping some tears away because she didn't want to look weak but it was kinda too late for that right now.

What was Sitara gonna do? Like? Pretend she isn’t a force user? She scratched the back of her head as they trudged through desert for a while. Her boots kicked at the sand and it sifted beneath her feet. Fine grains fell back into the ocean of sand and she walked around. Her hands moved into her pockets and she wished for a while that she was wearing something that didn’t cover her as much. Heck, she could prolly just get hop into this desert in a bikini.

Well, I hate to break it to ya, sugar,” Sitara started as they moved along. She was uncomfortable revealing herself, but hey, there really wasn’t much she could do. What? Was she just gonna lie and say she stole the lightsaber from someone? Hell no.

I’m a force user. But don’t worry I’m—“ A good Sith? Really, when was it that simple? “I’m alright. Your dad is one too, and he’s a good person.” At least that, that was the truth.

"At least I trust you enough to believe you...and that's a compliment......Also thanks for not thinking anything about that"
Zathra just continued to trudge on along through the sand feeling awkward about what she just said. She had never told that to anyone except those she trusted a lot and even though she just met Tara, she somehow knew she could trust her. Zathra hugged the bag of food against her shoulder and just walked continued to walk forwards. She couldn't believe she actually had told Tara that but well, she did and their was no taking it back now. She tried her best to hold back some tears from that moment long ago but it was hard.

I never really knew my mother.” Tara revealed to the girl who was travelling beside her. The banthas were probably not too far. How was she even going to find Mr. Collik’s home? It’s not like she could just lead the girl to the training grounds where they met. Well, there was also the option of just sending him a message over the HoloNet or through her commlink. It wasn’t exactly hard getting a hold of people here. She smiled. She’ll do that later.

As for her mother. “My dad said she was a lovely woman, but I’ll never know.” She said, as they moved around. It was funny what the desert did to you. Miles of nothing but the person you were stuck with. Sitara didn’t really like revealing herself to other people. But well, Zathra told her something she seemed uncomfortable with and Sitara only thought it was fair.

My dad raised me ever since I was a baby but he was never really around.” She sighed. “But that’s fine.

"That's so sad...well at least your dad was able to tell you how your mother was. Well even though he wasn't around just remember that he still loved you, just remember that in your heart and you will be fine....trust me"
Zathra let off a small smile at those last words she said. Trust me. She continued to walk and then she walked up a sandy hill with rocks scattered through it and then she made it towards the top of the hill. Large furry banthas roamed upon the ground below the other side of the hill. Sure, they were large and furry like large dogs in a sandbox. Zathra gasped in surprise at the sheer size of the Banth's. Hmm, well she thought they were smaller like wolf sized or something but well.....she was kinda wrong. Zathra finally brought the bag of food down upon the ground on the hill and she wipes her sweaty hands upon the armor on her knees. Man, a desert would really tire you out a lot.

There wasn’t much her dad said about her mother. She knew what her mother was and didn’t really agree to the events that lead to her conception. Either way, she’d rather live the life she had now then the alternative with her mother. Perhaps she should pay that woman a visit one day. It would’ve been quite the adventure. She smiled lightly before looking away.

Thanks.” Zathra’s words were comforting, and she needed to hear them. However, at the same time it also made her uncomfortable knowing that someone knew that aspect of her life. She shrugged as they marched in silence for a while.

I think I smell them.” She said, scrunching up her nose. “They're close."

"Yeah you could say that again, they are right over this hill, you know I never knew how large Bantha's were before this."
Zathra then sat down near the back to catch her breath. She wiped some sand and some sweat from her brow and took some deep breaths. Man, a desert could so easily tire you out quickly. Now, this was the exact reason Zathra hated deserts, it was hot, sweaty and just those scorpions and giant planet things. Zathra just sat their atop the ledge of the hill and waited a few minutes to rest and take a few deep breaths due to the long journey that she just walked with Tara.

The baby ones are smaller.” Obviously. She flashed Zathra a smile and started climbing the large sand dune. It was definitely hotter than other planets, that’s what you’d get for hunting in a desert after all. Was Sitara a hunter? Probably not. But she was determined of grabbing a bantha and taking it home. She was in possession of some other illegal things, and she wasn’t quite sure where to put the bantha in when they were done. She took out a small cantene from a tiny pouch slung over her waist and passed it to Zathra.

You’ll need this before we jump in there.

"Thanks"
Zathra takes the water canteen thankfully and then gulped some down for a while and then stopped and measured the wight of it. Ok, so she drank a fourth of it and their were still three fourths left which was good, right? Will, let's just say Zathra barely passed math class and still has trouble with math which is why will, she doesn't do much stuff involving too much math most of the time. Zathra then handed the water canteen back to Tara before standing up and keeping the bag of food at her feet firmly. Zathra then took out a mirror from her belt and looked at her self before putting it away. Yep, the hair dye was wearing off again revealing her light brown hair with black streaks in it.
"Ok, so what next? Also, do you think I should stop dying my hair and keep it it's original color? Be honest."

Her hair? Really. More like she should stop dyeing anything that looked like it lacked colour. Her hair wasn’t even the brunt of it, in fact, her hair was probably the most tasteful part about her. Sitara shrugged. “Nah, it’s cool like that. Maybe you should save some paint though, I mean it looks like everything you own is custom painted.” She said, a grin on her face. She hopped peered the top of the hill and scanned the bantha pack.

Okay, so there were like… seven of them total. It wasn’t too big of a pack. She spotted two little baby banthas. Perfect. She just had to separate them from their mother. “Okay. We’ll split the heard. One of us lures the larger banthas away and one of us takes the two baby ones. We only need one though.” She smiled, before producing a coin. “Heads or tails? Loser takes the big herd.

"Well if your sure than."
Zathra said with a slight smile upon her face before standing up again. Zathra dragged the bag with her as she made her way over to Tara to watch the coin get tossed within the air. Tails, Tails Tails!! Tails was Zathra's one and only choice. Well, it was what she always chose during these situations anyways. She looked at the bronze coin as it was tossed within the air. Ok, Tails would be what she would finally decide on. None of that Heads nonsense like all of the crazy's choce.
"I choose Tails."

Up the coin went. It span around and around up in the air before landing on the back of her hand. Tara’s other palm slammed on top of it. She looked over at the coin in her hand and grimaced. “Ugh. Fine. You win.” She grumbled, as she went back to eyeing the herd. She asked for the bag of fodder and once handed to her, she’d try to divide its contents.

Okay. Remember. We only need the baby.” She said. “I’ll go lure out the majority of them and you can wait to seize the baby. It’s usually in the back cause they’re pretty slow.” She said. Gosh, this bag was heavy. Was Zathra really carrying it around the whole time? She was pretty strong for a tiny tall girl.

"Ok got it, only one of the babies"
Ok, great now how to seize the baby. How would one try and capture a baby Bantha, it is large but still small and slow, so she could....uhmmm. Aha, Zathra could try and gesture the baby Bantha over maybe with some food or just gesture it over somehow and then how to keep it in once place. Hmmm, this would be more difficult than she thought. Maybe throw a net over it, will she did have a net, of sorts, in her backpack but that might not work properly. Zathra nodded and then made her way slowly down the hill towards the herd. Trying to stay as quite as possible as she was on a gritty and rock hill which she could fall down on. Well, that wouldn't be any good at all. Nope, it wouldn't be any good.

It was time to lead the banthas away. Sitara moved to the front of the herd, carrying the partly emptied bag of fodder with her. She flailed it in the air, her arms swinging from side to side, taunting the large creatures with the food. They called out to her, their stubby limbs burrowing into the sand as they took steps forward. She motioned for Zanthra to take try to distract one of the babies as she started to run away. She couldn’t die by being trampled over by a pack of wild banthas, could she?

And god, this fodder stank. She scrunched up her nose as she began to take off. “Come, follow me, stupid bantha!” She yelled. Their odd mooing sounds filled the air as they slowly started to chase after her.

Zathra walked over to a baby Bantha and went to where it was looking and looked at it's eyes before pulling out some food from the bag, she took some but not too much which was good. Zathra waved the food in front of the adorable baby Bantha and then it soon slowly walked towards her up the hill, ever so slowly but eventually. This thing was kinda cute, it was like a large combination of a bull and furry wolf with small pale horns proceeding from it's head. After what felt like forever, and I mean Forever the baby bantha finally made it to the top of the hill and Zathra laid the food on the ground and then came up behind the Bantha and attached a collar to the Bantha with a extra reinforced cable connecting to the cable. Zathra walked over to the baby bantha and patted it's head before scratching behind it's ear, this thing was so cute.

As the herd of wild animals began to pick up their pace, Sitara knew she had to run faster and drop the fodder or else be trampled by a group of hungry bantha. She charged through the sand, her boots sifting out fine tiny grains. Her dark hair fluttered in the wind and her ears perked up at the sound of them whining behind her. In a flash, she dropped the bag, and jumped over to the side. The herd stomped all over the fodder, trying to find parts of it to salvage with their large snouts. Sitara closed her eyes for a moment, breathing out a happy sigh of relief.

Grains of sand found themselves tangled in her dark hair. She picked herself up, whiped off drops of sweat that began to skate down her forehead. Tired, she trudged over to Zathra and hopefully new new baby bantha.

Zathra saw what happened with Tara and couldn't help but laugh. That was so funny to watch, but for that to happen to you.......will that was a different story. Zathra patted the Baby Bantha on it's head and it slightly nudges her in the side but with it's horns and abnormally large head that was normal to a Bantha it knocked Zathra over onto her back on the gritty and sandy ground. She groaned, thanks a lot baby bantha she was thinking as she stood back up and sat down by the baby Bantha, man it was cute but also kinda annoying like right now.

She caught sight of Zathra laughing at her, and well, Sitara was momentarily irritated. However, Zathra got what was coming for her when the baby bantha knocked her over. Now it was Sitara’s turn to laugh. And boy, did she laugh. She walked over to her companion, a smug grin still spread on her face. “You got knocked over by a baby.” She said, petting the fuzzy creature. Even for baby banthas, these things were pretty huge. How were they supposed to sneak it into town?

Oh wait, this was Tatooine. This poodoo was legal here.

Do you think we can ride it back?
