Wind and Flower

He had to make a decision. Ask for the removal of her mask or ask what she is called. It would be easy if he wasn't already struggling with one of the choices. For the name it didn't bother him knowing as long as she would accept the name he wanted to call her. "I want you to take it off." he said immediately. Akabane realized that could be taken the wrong way, especially with this woman. "Uh, I mean take off the mask. Please."

At this point he was basically begging. That wasn't something he was accustomed to. He sat there for a moment, releasing his hold of the masked one and standing up looking the other way. Akabane was thinking of a good name for her since that wouldn't come easy most likely. Turning around to face the woman, his face was confident. "I will call you Ava if I'm not provided with a name."

The sith may have been blond, but that didn't make her dumb enough to take his words as meaning more than anything but her mask. She couldn't help but chuckle a little when he corrected his phrase though and added in the please. Akabane let go of her hand and stood up after a moment, looking away from her. He appeared lost in thought for a moment and turned around to say he would call her Ava unless provided with a different name.

"Ava will do fine."

After today, Zesiro decided to have that name for when she was on missions such as this. For the times when a name was needed. It was short and simple.

"Very well."

She remained seated, reached up a hand and took her mask off. Watching Akabane to see his reaction, she laid it in her lap.

The woman, now called Ava, told him the name would be okay to call her. Akabane nodded as he sat back down and faced Ava, keeping his distance this time. He thought the name wasn't half bad himself. There was no real origin for the name. It just came to thought when he looked at her.

What happened next wasn't anticipated by Akabane. Ava removed the mask revealing her matured face and blond hair. He assumed she was a younger woman before he seen her face but he wasn't sure. Now he could see he was sorta correct. Without saying anything he fell back onto the grass, relieved that she actually took it off. "It's nice to meet you Ava." he said still lying down.

"Well now that that's over, do you want to fly still?" he asked with his eyes closed. "You can use a taxi I'm sure."

Now that he mask was off, Zesiro would have to watch her facial expressions more than before and that would be difficult for the young sith. She was always one to express herself, both in actions and on her face.

"You had met me already, just no face to go with the voice."

She watched as Akabane laid down on the ground and closed his eyes. If he had opened them, he would have seen roll her eyes and give him a slightly stern look. He asked if she still wanted to learn and it took her a moment to be able to speak as she was still distracted by him laying down.

"Yes, I would still like to learn and a taxi wouldn't get me to where flight could."

Akabane shook his head to her response to his greeting. "I have to disagree. We have been talking with one another for some time but we only just exchanged names." he paused and sat up with his eyes open now looking at her. "To me, I believe seeing a face is the proper introduction."

His new acquaintance explained to him why flying would benefit her. Akabane laughed when she did so. "You bring up a valid point." he couldn't really argue with her. He didn't have any reason not to teach her some of his tricks anyways. "Okay fine. We will try this again."

"However." he said stopping his speech. Air could be felt circulating around them. "This power was made for battle on my planet, what do you intend to use it for? I'm just curious."

He shook his head in the grass disagreeing with her about what he considered as a proper introduction. In a way he was correct, but there were always calls or dispatches where you had to speak to somebody and not see their face. You knew who they were though and had an introduction.

"What about calls from people wanting to sell you stuff? They introduce themselves when they call."

Watching him as he sat up, Zesiro couldn't help but notice again his physique and felt her desire stir again within her. That stern look was replaced with one where she attempted to hide what she wanted. If he could read emotions or facial expressions, he would be able to tell where her mind was...certainly not on the mission that brought her here or on the air thing. His question though brought her back somewhat from her thoughts and she was able to answer him.

"I would use for whatever I need to do. In this case, I'm searching for signs of a ship and being able to get above the treeline would go a very long way in accomplishing that goal."

The question she asked made him smirk. He had two different thoughts on the matter. "You are not wrong Ava. But, they only give you their name because it's mandatory. I call that a joke of an introduction." he answered in a way that may seem offensive. Though that wouldn't be intentional. This thinking was taught to Akabane as a boy and stuck with him even through the memory wipe.

Akabane noticed the change in Ava but didn't know what was going on in her mind. He also didn't ask as he figured she wouldn't give an honest answer. Ava told him what her intentions were with the power he could teach her, well attempt to. "That's very interesting. I would love to ask about that... nevermind." he stopped before his curiosity got out of hand. The next thing he needed to do was start his lesson of wind shaping.

"Okay. My techniques work for me. That doesnt mean it will work for you. So no promises that I can teach you." he cleared his throat and started talking again. "If the gods created you special then you should be able to move just a little air around. Wind shaping takes up a lot of energy based on how you use it. Be mindful still of that and focus." he gave a lecture to start it off.

Akabane stood up and pointed at a leaf on the tree. "I want you to create wind to push against that leaf." he gave Ava her first test. His hand opened up towards the leaf, it would move a bit and stopped when Akabane closed his hand. "You will need to harness the element of air, using telekinetic powers will be a failure in doing so." he said just in case.

Zesiro shook her head in answer to his before speaking her thoughts on it.

"Names have power though. While it might be joke introduction, you have a form of power over them by knowing their name. Call up a supervisor and you can have them fired."

She tilted her head to the side when he didn't complete what he was going to ask. Akabane said to nevermind, so she didn't ask further, but was curious what he was going to ask.

"Of course, everybody learns differently and I understand this. Worst that'll happen is I fail and you air lift me yourself so I can view from above. You could do that right?"

Falling silent as he spoke more and listened to his instructions, she thought about how to accomplish this feat. Watching him perform it gave her an idea and Zesiro would ask about it before she attempted the action.

"So basically, I just need to grab the air around us but not use the Force?"

Akabane nodded when she spoke of power in knowing a name. He understood what she was saying. Something he thought of was that the person on the other side could be using an alias. Like the one he gave her, Ava. He didn't say anything in reply to Ava.

The next thing Ava did was ask if he would save her if she failed. He laughed when she did. "Could? Yes. Would? Maybe." he said forming a crooked grin on his face. This was meant to be a joke but he wondered what he would do. Akabane was a good person and had nothing against Ava so he'd probably do his best to catch her.

"Yes. Pretend your abilities are non existent." grabbing the air in the atmosphere was a simple way to put it. He didn't fully understand the whole process himself. What he believed was that nature allowed him to control it. That's how he seen it.

Zesiro just raised an eyebrow at his reply on if he would help her if she failed. She had the feeling he was joking around and would help if it happened.

"Okay, here goes."

The sith closed her eyes to try and feel the air around them. Not using the Force, just reaching out with her natural senses. Tilting head to the side to listen, she could hear the wind blow through the trees and feel the breeze around them.

She held out a hand, her eyes still closed to try and grasp the breeze going through her fingers. That is exactly what it continued to do, just pass through her open hand and when she tried to touch it, it didn't do anything.

"Hum."

She opened her blue eyes and looked at him.

"I'm not sure it'll work. I could touch it, but it didn't do anything."

Akabane watched as she started at her attempt to harness the element. He wasn't being optimistic in the situation thinking she would fail quickly. Having some faith didn't hurt anyone but he just couldn't see Ava finishing the move successful. All of his life he had trained, even with a long line of ancestors who were shapers he also fail many times. His abilities were almost natural however which gained him a boost in his trainings progression.

When she explained that she wasnt sure if harnessing the wind was possible but she could touch it, he laughed. The laugh wasn't meant in any negative way. In fact, he felt good knowing she was trying the skill. "Please don't take offense to my laughing. I thought you saying you could touch the air was funny. A normal person would think it's crazy." he thought about a situation like that and couldn't help but laugh.

He returned the gaze with his dark black eyes. "Looks like you don't possess beginners luck. It can't be helped that your attempt ended up not working, but you should practice regularly and maybe you'll be able to shape wind one day."
