Rubbing the chill from her bones, the redhead watched those long wings unfold with preternatural grace. The membrane caught the sun for a moment, glowing a bright red, and then the Titavian was off in a whirl of dust.
Adder snapped her hand forward, pilfering a feather out of the air. With a beaming grin on her face, she tucked it behind her ear and turned to her friend.
“More walking?” She made a face. “Aight. Not like we have a choice, do we?”
