Arianna decided that there was one thing to be counted on right now when it came to Garith, expect the unexpected. So unexpected as the maneuver into the vent she felt her head spin.
The crash onto the speeder garage a stroke or luck or did he know it was there, she didn't care. After a moment or two of laying there catching her breath and trying to focus on her surroundings, her fingers still tightly wrapped around the grip of the blaster she rolled. Garith lay there looking more like death warmed over, this was their chance and she could drive she just needed the right one.
She ran down across and then up, finally spotting a two seater that would do nicely. She jumped in pulled it out bumping the other pods, and coming dangerously close to the ceiling she pulled up, jumped out and began to drag Garith into the pod. This was her workout for the month, and if it kept up it would be the year.
God! She had to turn and put her back into it pushing him into the pod, "goddess help me" She looked at him to make sure he was breathing, "ok, drive time"
Within moments they were out of the garage and moving through Coronet city traffic. She tried to relax she knew she had to get someplace safe, her hotel would be off limits someone probably was watching. She needed out of the way, not frequented and not full of insects.
She'd look back several times to see if anyone was coming. They needed population they needed Treasure Ship Row. Arianna knew the way her stepmother had taken her many times, she was sure she and Garith could hide out there for a bit. There was a place there that offered rooms, they were cheap if she remembered the sign right they rented them hourly.
Traffic was heavy everyone went here you could buy everything and anything on Treasure Ship Row. Ditching the pod still holding Garith up except now people looked they saw drunk, little did they knew that they were going through.
At the desk Arianna just put credits on the counter, "how long will that buy me?" The droid did not blink, "four hours" Arianna great, "good enough, 4 hours" This may not have been her best plan and she was soon learning why the rates were hourly which for some reason made her laugh. Getting into the room Arianna once again put Garith on the bed, "ok big boy, rest all you need I think it will take them a while to find us down here"
She took the chair from the desk and placed it against the door, then she finally sat in the chair that could see the window, and the door, blaster in her lap.
It had been a heck of a day so far. How would she explain all of this, maybe she would not have to.
