"If it can stop the scars from being activated and used against me, that would be great," Jasper decided. "With caution, of course."

He didn't want to explode, after all. That was something that they would just have to take some time to work on together. Now Jasper was curious about the other applications of these runes. Perhaps they could be a good way to make up for his limited range of force abilities. After all, even as unique as Force Light was, his use of it was far from stellar. Anything that could make him more versatile was a bonus.

"So... what else can it do?"

"What else? Uh.. Well. Anything, really. You're writing the rules of what you want to happen, so.. As long as you write it clearly, anything goes."

Kahlil shrugged his shoulders a little, giving a brief smile. There wasn't too much else he could add on that part, at least. Imagination was the limit. Which made it just as powerful as it was dangerous.

"Let me ask you this instead. What is it you want?"

"Let me ask you this instead. What is it you want?"

Jasper knew exactly what he wanted to learn first. If this was about the gaps in his skill, there was one thing that really held him back.

"I want to learn how to heal people," he decided.

The knight became a little red, smiling awkwardly and scratching the back of his head. That was sort of a weird request, given how simple of an ability most would assume force healing to be, but Jasper was very limited in what he could actually do with the force. The transference of life energy was one he struggled to grasp, and it would likely render him unconscious should he even succeed. That was his theory, anyways. Jasper had never managed to successfully pull it off.

"I never got the hang of force healing," Jasper admitted. "My application of the force is pretty limited, so I figure this is a good way to diversify, right?"

"Oh. Yeah that's.. Not really simple, but simple enough I think." Kahlil took out the chalk again, this time writing out a couple more runes. Just three, which he pointed to one at a time.

"Mending. Dulling. Restoring. They're.. Sort of the only healing runes I could make up so far. The runes I've based all this off of don't really have much for actual healing. At least, not the healing you'd want to use unless you were a Sith. Mending, as it sounds, helps close wounds and such. Dulling helps numb pain. Restoring helps.. Replace, what's been lost. It's not complete, and to actually replace things isn't that easy. But it helps, in the right sequence." The Jedi Master let out a soft chuckle as he crossed his arms, frowned just a little.

"Unfortunately, yeah. I don't have much for healing."

"That sounds perfect," Jasper insisted with a smile. "Anything that helps me keep people alive for longer is all I need."

Kahlil was upset about it not being much like force healing, but Jasper had no set expectations whatsoever. After all, the only thing that came naturally to him was force light, and even that he could only utilize in a limited way. The knight was handicapped, so anything new that he could reliably do to help the people around him was a win.

"I can't do much in the first place, so I'll take what I can get."

Kahlil_Div2.png

"Oh. Well, in that case, you're welcome."

He chuckled a little, nodding his head. Kahlil didn't fully understand what Jasper was going through with it. He'd been cut off completely from the Force once before, but to struggle with a connection and to find a place within it, that wasn't something Kahlil had ever had to deal with.

"You're welcome to experiment, too. Try and make your own. It's not as hard as it seems, thankfully."

"I can do that?" Jasper asked, but then he felt stupid. Of course he could experiment. "R-right, obviously. It's just writing out what you want to do."

He'd have to sit down and figure things out more in depth later. Speaking of, there was one other thing on Jasper's mind. The most important part of all of this was he probably wasn't going to remember everything he was shown today. His memory was good, but there were limits to it.

"Hey, you don't have like a book or something that has everything written on it, do you?"

"We can write it together!"

"Y-yeah!" Jasper nodded, caught off guard by the large man's sudden wave of enthusiasm. "I'd be honored to."

A book of altered runes for use with the light, and he would assist in it's writing. It was something he hadn't exactly expected, but he was more than willing to give it everything he had. These last few years in knighthood have certainly brought some strange opportunities to him. It was still a lot to take in, but Jasper was at least going to try to take it all in stride. After all, if people needed him than he had a duty to be available to help.

It was more than just an obligation. It was his purpose.
