Alright guys! After a suggestion from another member, our fix was standing right in front of us. A good portion of the discussion was trying to find a medium that met the following requirements:
Notice that if you click the (read more) feature it'll take you to where our news posts go, which is in the faction discussion forum! However, you can skim news easily by merely popping up on our page rather than digging through a forum. In order to keep track of our news you can follow it.
By going to our faction's page here you can then follow the faction. All of our news posts will be sent as notifications to you. With that said and done there's still more...
Once a week we're going to have 'World Reports' which is basically an update on everything important that's happening with our faction in the coming week. Members can then actively discuss and communicate. Thus we've a solution that's available to everyone and not just thos e select few who are able to use Skype. Instant-messaging in private is of course fine and no one has an issue there, it's just that when we're all a group we need to be able to be coordinated and respect the boundaries of our members whilst providing a medium that's easy to access.
- Available to all members.
- Easy to access and keep track of.
- Ability to notice announcements but still discuss.
