So Locke is to remain alive. Understood. That was all the confirmation Oleander needed for him to settle further into his chair and pretend he was considering John's response. It was a pragmatic one, Death would give the cyborg that. He would not fault a mortal for wanting to make a credit. Yet he had to wander what more there was to the man beyond business interests. Nevertheless, Gerwald trusted him.

That same scrutiny had not worn off when it came to Anathemous, either. A part of him questioned the confidentiality of having the High Inquisitor present, for he'd had a near encounter with the inquisition's leader. A based, more conniving part of him was curious what secrets, both her own and of the dark councilor above her, he could pull from the Sea of Memory as he added her to the Silent Voices. The more controlled portion of him took a drink instead of, nodding his vague assent to her sentiments towards a united empire.

"And what would it take to have certain items left off record entirely? Save for the master schematic, of course." If Gerwald wanted him to practice negotiation now seemed the perfect opportunity. The more he thought about it the more he believed a hidden hangar would be ideal. "Outside of that consideration, I've no issue with moving forward."

The Dread Wolf listened to those he had brought with him as advisors. It seemed none of them objected to the plan which John Locke John Locke laid out before them. It was his plan to move forward with what the man had brought to them. Gerwald trusted the former exarch, especially in matters of the type of agreement they were entering into. His technology was still superior, and if he could expand the shipyards to what they needed, and beyond, there was no reason to wait.

Gerwald pressed his thumb on the data pad which had the contract on it. A small noise and a pause was heard before a soft chime indicating the thumbprint was accurate sounded. With a smile on his face the Dread Wolf passed the device over to the exarch and nodded.

"It has been a pleasure doing business with you. I will have more work for you soon. Srina Talon sends her regards."

Gerwald had not necessarily been instructed to say such a thing, but he knew the two had been close. This contract was just not a business venture, but a renewal of relationships which had once been a powerful influence in the sector of space the Dread Wolf was venturing into.

They would be again.
