Wright the Ships [Siobhan - the Destroyer]

.. the darkness of space.
[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]
She smiled, as Laekia grew into view. Coci has such wonderful memories of this place, it was where [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] had lived with Nina before they met, it was here they had their first date in a small caf in the city before going for a walk along the shore of the sea. That seemed so very long ago now, it was, so much had happened from that day to this and Coci life had changed so much and all for the better.

But this evening, this meeting in space is for business, to sure up and improve the strength of the Silver Sanctum. She had contacted Sio and with the help of Firemane to see through on the construction of a shipyard, they would scout out a good location in this system. Somewhere that would not place the planet in any danger should the worst happen, no shipyards will fall from the skies .. not on her watch.

Coci had arrived in her personal ship, The Sting, the meeting time had arrived and so she waited for the hail.

Space, the final frontier. These are the adventures of the SQS Ardarvia. Its five year mission: to explore strange worlds, conquer and educate new civilisations about the glory of the Goddess, to boldly go where no Eldorai has gone before.

Oh, wait, that's a different story! Anyhow, with barely a ripple the Ardarvia, Firemane's mobile command ship, erupted from the depths of hyperspace. This hefty little frigate had considerable firepower of its own and carried a squadron of starfighters to help protect it. However, this was not a combat mission.

No, construction was the order of the day. Likewise, the ship was not alone. In a flash, space was filled with a host of Firemane and ARGH ships. Most prominently among them were the Liorre-class super freighters that had a very big cargo capacity. They carried supplies, construction materiel, construction droids, engineers and so on and so forth. It must be admitted that Siobhan might've been showing off a little.

Siobhan, elegantly dressed as usual, stood on the bridge of the ship with a host of minions. She received the acknowledgements from the various Firemane ships that they'd arrived, and then noted that Coci's personal ship, the Sting had arrived.

This brought a small smile to her lips. They were quite different in some ways, which could be expected since Coci was a Jedi Master while Siobhan had left the Jedi ages ago and ended up sort of going darkside, but still they were good friends. So she had a minion hail her vessel. "Coci, this is Siobhan. We've arrived. I'm on the Ardarvia. We're ready for you to dock."

In no time at all, the hail came through from Sio. The sensors had picked up on her arrival and Coci moved the Sting into position ready to dock. "Hello my friend, I am on my way". It had been some time since she had dinner with Sio and organised plans for the exodus, it would be good to hear how that had all turned out as well.

Once the move was completed Coci unlocked the air lock listening to the hiss at the environment changed in an instant. Stepping through to the large ship, Coci was greeted by a crew member and taken to the bridge to find Sio.

She smiled seeing the imposing woman at the helm, the fleck of darkness around her crackled in her aura, it still made Coci wrinkle her nose. But Sio has proven time and again that she is for the justice of others, even though her actions might be a tad heavy handed. May the Force help them if she was on the other side.

"Good to see you again Sio", she said on approach and gave her a hug.

"Hey, it's good to see you to. You look good," Siobhan spoke happily when Coci appeared on the bridge. The command deck was a hub of activity, though it was easy to spot the firemane who seemed awfully adept at standing at the centre of things. She returned the embrace, holding Coci close when the Jedi hugged her. Leaning forward, she kissed the woman on each cheek. A friend's kiss as opposed to a lover's one, since Coci was happily married and apparently immune to Sio's 'considerable charms'.

"I heard you and Thurion were at Lujo. You two were ok?" The tone in her voice was solicitious and considerate without being fretting. She released the Jedi and stepped back, scrutinising her for visible signs of injury.

"You look good as well, you always do", she said as the hug ended. "Yes Thurion and I were there, he sustained some injuries but he is alright. We .. did well", she left it at that, but their fighting had ended in a very good victory. "I hear you were there as well, made a hell of a mess by the reports", she laughed. "How about you? you come away from it alright", Coci looked her friend over to see if there be injuries, but nothing apparent to her eyes.

"Seems no ground was made by the Galactic Alliance, regardless that they did well enough. The Sith still move strong in the galaxy, but I hear there is .. some .. unrest among them. Have you heard anything further on this?". Coci had had reports from the intelligence department of a civil war breaking out among them, no surprise really, the want for power also a thing with them. It is interesting how they speak of bringing peace to the galaxy, through their methods, but constant show that they can even rule themselves ...

"Glad to hear you're ok," Siobhan replied. "I was...alright. Temple was a mess. Far as I know, Varanin was killed by a Sith, Jacobs went mental and it hurt my head a lot! I collapsed most of the temple." Dealing with a Phobis Device level psychic onslaught had not been pleasant.

At least she'd thrashed a Sith monument. The mention of the Alliance made her scoff. "Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the Alliance at the big meeting. Seemed full of bluster. They could've won if they'd hit harder and strategised better," she gave Coci a nod when she enquired about OS.

"Our intel says there's a palace coup in OS. Civil war. I guess some of the Darths got tired of bending a knee to the 'omnipotent' Dark Lord," at that she cheesily used air quotes and her tone was quite mocking. "I take it you heard of the Mando-Pub mess." Yes, soon they'd be doing dev thready things, but they might as well catch up on the recent batch of invasions and intergalactic drama first.

She had heard rumours that Ashin was killed but now it had been confirmed. "One hell of a force users gone", she said with some sadness, "I hope Spencer will be alright", Coci could not blame her for loosing it, she doubted she would do anything different if it was Thurion, the words she spoke of Spencer more a whisper of her own thoughts. "I agree with you, there seemed to be something lacking in the assault it was haphazard in approach". Not privy to the leadership or it's formation of leadership structure it was hard for Coci to comment on.

"Yes had heard about the OS, let them. If they deplete their numbers in this war all the better for us". As for the mando, GA mess, the less said about that the better. For one thing, Coci had lost all capacity to understand the GR a while back.

"Well all we can do at this point is make sure the SSC is well fitted out with as much as possible, you never know when the devil came calling".

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

[member="Coci Heavenshield"]

"Doubt she'll be dead for long," Siobhan commented and left it at that. Varanin and, to a lesser degree, Jacobs were women she'd fought alongside against common threats here and there, but she didn't trust either of them. She remembered the Fringe, which claimed to fight monsters yet was a safe haven for some of the worst of them, such as Kaine Zambrano, very well.

She gave Coci's remarks about GA and OS a nod, but didn't comment. "Agreed. Anyway if you want peace, prepare for war. SSC's far from the fighting, but it doesn't pay to be complacent. Hence why I'd like to lead Firemane into a closer business relationship with SSC." Sponsorship and stuff, whatever that means, because this writer wants tier 6.

"Sponsorship, if you will, since recently we've been building most of SSC's fleet. I also brought our construction drones for the shipyard you talked about. They're specialised to operate in atmosphere and the vacuum of space. We've got lots of them." Drones, lots of drones!

Now down to business. Sio put forth the proposal to firm up firemane's relationship with the SSC, there would be no problem with this as Sio and Firemane have provided excellent product and service from the beginning. "Already we have formed a relationship, but something more concrete and assured is very welcomed. To have a sense of security in knowing that the items and products we receive are not only high quality but reliable in the field of battle or in combat zone of space".

"Your words, if you want peace, prepare for war, are wise words", she said with a grin. "Now, to the shipyard. If I may I will call up the Kalos System", a push of a button and the blue star map appeared. "As you can see, the system comprises of a sun, three moons and the planet. I see two options for the location. We could as discussed, construct the shipyard near Laekia, and set to be not influenced by the gravitational pull of the planet. I don't wish to see another shipyard attacked to kill the citizens planet side. Shipyards can easily operate in open space. It would mean setting up transportation to the Yards for workers, and that is an added cost, however, it would be a small price to pay for potential loss of life should the worst happen".

Coci walked around the map, considering her second option. "Or here", she pointed to one of the moons uninhabited and uninhabitable, "This might be the best location, we could construct shipyard on the moons surface". Now she looked to Sio, and waited for her opinion.

"I'm glad you agree on the business front. I can give SSC a 15-20% discount on all Firemane and Guild of Hammers products, while still keeping the lights on in the factories and making a good profit. We've got a couple new designs in the pipeline," She had an expensive life style, a wife, a couple kids and several lovers to look after. Not to mention her minions, err, employees!

Dropping shipyards on population centres had been awfully 'in' not so long ago. The CIS and Baktoid had done it on Druckenwell, then Cater had copied them on Corellia. Siobhan looked over at the holomap of the system.

"I think an orbital shipyard over the moon would work," she responded after a short while. "The additional distance will make it slightly less efficient, but, as you say, without the risk of having it over a major population centre." Because dropping a space station on a city so wasn't cool. "I imagine we want the 'yard to be big enough to produce Star Destroyers." Maybe [member="Valiens Nantaris"]' admiral would show up with a wish list. The Nova Cannon was still under review.

"Yes", was the quick answer to the question of capital ships. "Although we have a reasonable fleet, I still believe is it lacking. And if there is enough resources we could sell some", she grinned, and if so naturally ships would be sold to very selective clients. "But that is a long way off, lets first conclude this plan".

"Out of the three moons, I believe Tingellia would be the most suitable. There is scope to build on the surface as well. We could set up warehouses for materials, living quarters for worker form Laekia and dry docks. That facility could see the construction of parts and small vessels like fighters, research and development labs and the like".

"I would like to contact Master [member="Valiens Nantaris"] and have him come to this meeting and give his view point", yes he is Admiral of the Fleet and should attend these talks. Moments later, Coci dispatched a message to Nantaris to meet with them either in holo or in person.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

[member="Coci Heavenshield"] [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

Though Nantaris’ writer is certainly interested in fleeting, the character was not so.

Therefore the call went to the Coalition Fleet Admiral, Kyrana Gould.

The Admiral took the holocall, having been briefed by her aides.
“Master Heavenshield, Lady Kerrigan, I understand you wish to discuss placement and specifics of a new shipyard?”

[member="Friedrich Stahlmann"], [member="Coci Heavenshield"]

Siobhan gave Coci a nod after hearing her thoughts, then they placed a call to Admiral Gould. The woman was still attractive, though less endowed in the chest area than Siobhan preferred. Then again, she was immune to the Countess' 'charms', so that point was moot.

Anyhow, on to business. "Yes, Admiral. A new shipyard in the Kalos System. We've discussed placing it in the orbit of the Tingellia moon. It's supposed be big and equipped enough to churn out large warships such as Star Destroyers. We'll be setting up a logistical support network on Laekia."

In no time at all the response to her relaid message arrived. Nantaris had informed them the Admiral would be with them shortly. Sio began the talks, stating the purpose of their meeting to which Coci stood stoic in her stance.

"Admiral Gould, thank you for your prompt response. The Silver Sanctum, I believe, should move to expand it fleet. Lady Kerrigan and myself are here to find the best location to build shipyards for the Coalition fleet and we need your expertise on the matter". The proposed system and moon would display for her to peruse. "The location proposed would not only remove any possible error in judgment and dangers of placing orbital platforms over a planet but would also serve as security for the yards as well".
[member="Kyrana Gould"] | [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

[member="Coci Heavenshield"] [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

The Admiral listened patiently and then turned her attention to the designs. Finally, she nodded.

“I agree that it does prevent the potential destruction impacting on populations. It will however require larger accommodation and crew areas. On many stations they have the crew living on the planet below. That would not be practical here, so they would have to live on board the station. There would also be a slight inefficiency of extra time taking materials from the planet to the yards – but external shipments would be slightly more efficient for avoiding traffic.”

“Overall, it’s a sound design. We could certainly use the increased capacity, as we have only Mon Calamari to produce the largest capital ships at present.”

[member="Coci Heavenshield"], [member="Kyrana Gould"]

"Sounds good," Siobhan said agreeably. More battleships were always nice. Same applied to fake money. "We can help with providing the essentials for the crew by placing what our researchers call a Replicator Series 3D Printer on the shipyard."

In her opinion, that name was way too complicated. "Basically it's a manufacturing and recycling system with the ability to break down any material and either copy it or reassemble molecules gathered from it into a new object. For instance, it can turn garbage into basic foodstuff or turn that into simple droids."

Well Coci's, eat organic where you can sensibilities just lurched her stomach as Sio's description of the recycling units. Although it was normal of the galaxy to eat such things as space food and recycles waste, she avoided it where possible but surely they, the Silver Sanctum, could do better then that. "I think the recycling system is a good idea for ultilising waste and maybe it could be converted to compost", ah maybe this could be used by the Agri Corps for their crops "but for sentient consumption? I think we could provide more naturally good food from Laekia".

"However, we seem to have formed a good and sound plan. Thank you Admiral for your advise and wishes, we shall have the construction underway as soon as possible, and hopefully we shall see the first of our ships off the line sooner rather then later".

Turning to Sio, "Shall we move to position and get started?".
[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] | [member="Kyrana Gould"]

[member="Coci Heavenshield"] [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

The Admiral nodded.

“I hope so too. I have just gotten word that the Nova Cannon is complete and has passed an extensive series of tests and inquiries. With that in mind, Project Barsen’Thor can advance to its final stage.”

“May the Force be with us. Thank you for your time, Lady Kerrigan, Master Heavenshield.”

With that she ended the connection.

[member="Coci Heavenshield"], [member="Kyrana Gould"]

Siobhan simply shrugged. "I'm sure it could be useful for the AgriCorps. We've already made use of the replicator on Tygara." Fake money was fake money. Dialogue continued, then the admiral talked about the Nova Cannon.

"I'm glad to hear that, Admiral. Keep me posted on when the Barsen'thor is ready to enter service." Siobhan was less enamoured with the big warship than some, but it would nonetheless make a nice addition to 'her' fleet. Yes, hers. After all, her company made most of the ships.

"May the Force serve us well." Because, yeah, she was still dark side and stuff. Religious tolerance was important in this day and age. The connection was cut, she turned her attention back to Coci. Work on the shipyard could begin now.

"May the force be with you", she returned the Admirals farewell. Her attention returned to Sio as she did her. A sense of relief spread on Coci's face with the news and now everything could move forward.

"Sio lets move into position, it will not take long to get there", she refers to the moon of course. "After which, do you have plans to return to Tygara quickly? only I was thinking it might be nice to do some shopping on Laekia, and go for a bite to eat. I know the beaches are wonderful, [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] and myself spent some time there", well not that long and beside they had only had eyes for each other that night and not on the waves, although the waves demanded their attention when crashing over them rolling on the sand.
