Demographics: Primarily Cathar inhabitants with a strong minority of Humans, equality permeates the Capital City of Cathay and many are considered to be equal and the same.
Wealth: Medium-High, There is a very small class disparity inside of Xzeenia and a job position is required by law.
Stability: High, One of the safest places in the Galaxy, Xzeenia is a steadfast barrier against corruption and crime.
Freedom & Oppression: An extremely lively attitude permeates Xzeenia. Criminals are punished harshly but those loyal and lawful in their actions are often rewarded for both their loyalty and steadfastness in the face of crime.
Description: A massive sprawling metropolis splaying out into Cathay’s Environs for miles in each direction. The buildings themselves were based upon ancient Precursor but there have been installations and enclaves of Cathar architecture including skyscrapers and temples all made of concrete and Durasteel.
- The Citadel: A massive precursor space elevator jutting out from the center of Xzeenia. It extends into low orbit and was clearly made by the Precursors. It is where the ruling body and Government branches operate. Over the years, additions such as ground floor wings have also been built in the traditional Cathar style.
- Mark IV-X1 Planetary Defense Cannons: The first of the two large turbo-laser batteries located on planet. The first being located in Xzeenia and the second located in the Deadzone’s Dead-lands. Currently, the cannon XLR1 has been restored to working order with the other scavenged for materials.
SECURITY
High, an inbuilt and Federalized Police Force exits planet-side, the presence of which is the highest of all Cities on Cathay. Defenses from orbit include a Precursor built turbo-laser maintained by the Catharian Guard powerful enough to destroy a Dreadnought in a few shots. Alongside the main gun planet-side, exist small point defense weapons and clearly defined strong-points within the City itself. Anti-aircraft armaments include light turbo-lasers and point defense laser cannons scattered about the City itself. The Catharian Guardsmen exist as the law enforcers for Xzeenia while the Federalized Police Force, also known as the Milites exist in small numbers in safer zones of Xzeenia.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Once a prosperous Pre-cursor city some million years before the Battle of Yavin. Its name, unknown and its peoples also unknown. What is known however is that approximately 500,000 years before its discovery by the Expedition lead by Xzaien a cataclysmic event of gargantuan proportions occurred. Muddying the sky, and leading to billions of deaths. Underneath the city, another few billion precursors survived in intricately designed Hibernation Pods which effectively froze their age. But a rare problem regarding its systems activated and thus all of those who sought shelter in the pods when their world ended, were all poisoned by high levels of carbonite. These pods would also have its usages in the far future. This city, renamed to Xzeenia has been the birthplace of the Catharian Hegemony and promptly restored and then settled. With its main inhabitants being Cathar refugee’s fleeing the Mandalorian Conquest of their home-world, deserters, and poor civilians looking for a new life free of both the Sith Empire and the Old Republic. Strangely, the autocratic ruler of the Planet declared martial law and ordered for all citizens to be placed into the now repaired and improved Hibernation Pods. Where they would lay for almost five thousand years. Now re-awakened, Xzeenia’s people have returned to make their mark on the Galaxy.
