- Phrik Chain Mail Underlay
Ylva's clothes are hand weaved Leather, hardened and crafted into a huntress' light outfit perfect for getting around silently. Alone the leather attire offers no protection what-so-ever, yet paired with what she adorns atop, the leather works to keep her worm and keep the Phrik Chain-mail from grating too harshly against her skin during combat or fast paced mobility. As she grew living off of the wilds, her and her clan Solveig often hunted the Qom Jha for their skins, leathers and softer tissues for eating. The leather pulled from these poor creatures has been boiled and hardened, used for all of her weapons and needs while on the dense world.
Phrik Chain-mail Underlay - Worn atop her everyday leathers, the Chain-mail attire that rests over-top is a mesh of lightsaber resistant metals designed to fend off against Lightsaber strikes and penetrating blows. As it's not full plate mail however, the blows received by lightsabers can still have a burning effect as do blaster shots. In this, any damage doubt by energy weapons are deterred from dismemberment or puncturing into the flesh; yet burns can still be severe if she's not careful and thus while the outfit's biggest asset to her safety, still serves as a reminder that she's not invincible.
Covering the chain-mail underlay are the nerf furs who's only real benefit is to keep her warm in the cold harsh seasons of the natural world. Growing up in the outdoors and having had to fend for herself, these furs had been taken alike the leather worn beneath. They're exceedingly comfortable and helps her to blend in with the wilderness.
Strengths:
- Lightsaber Resistant - Due to the Phrik Chain Mail underlay beneath the fur exterior of the attire, Ylva's body can take a fear punch from energy weapons such as lightsabers.
- High Mobility - Due to Phrik being lightweight as far as metals are concerned, the Phrik Chain-mail underlay offers no resistance against her often need to be swift on her feet and forever on the move.
- Warm Winter wear - The Furs of which Ylva has hunted herself and skinned from the backs of Nerf and various other wildlife of Nirauan comes with the natural strength in keeping her warm at night and in the harsher winters or less temperate worlds.
- Kinetic Damage - While it may soften such a blow, injuries can still be inflicted through the excess of force. Given that this Armor is a light variation of attires, compared to those of medium to heavy resistance, the impact required to punch through and deliver a detrimental blow against Ylva Solveig will come with significantly more ease.
- Weak Points - Vulnerable in joints of armor (Arms, neck, face, Legs). While the Chain mail she wears is capable of reasonable resistance to lightsaber blades and likely weapons, it is not full plate and not invulnerable. There are obvious weak points where it the chain is fitted to the leather under garments and places such as the armpits, back of the kneels and the head that's not covered without the hood raised.
