Kay-Larr
Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay smirked a little at [member="Jairdain"] calling him by his title. Of course the lady was being respectful, but it was almost funny that [member="Bradshaw Ku"] was being referred to by title while being at home. It made her wonder how long that would last. Kay was never one to be a stickler for such formalities. There was certainly a time and a place for it, but this wasn't really it. Still, it was more amusing than anything else and the air around them seemed to be quite light. It gave her hope.
She breathed a sigh of relief as Brad agreed to take Jairdain on. Getting a bit of discipline would be good for him. Hopefully his tutor would be stern with him when need be. If Shaw was still around, there wouldn't be much that Brad could get away with. Heck, he might not even be the playboy that he was now. But Brad always walked his own path, did what he wanted. He chose to be adopted, not the other way around. Maybe that was the reason for his rebelliousness. He just preferred to be in control of whatever happens to him. At times, she was that way too.
Kay approached him for the hug that hew as asking for and wrapped her arms around him, resting her chin on his shoulder. The hug might have started off as comical, but this was the first time that she had hugged him since before he was hurt on Kwenn. Perhaps it was just due to the pregnancy, but she really felt as though she was going to lose him again when he called out to her for help. Now she had him in her arms and she didn't want to let go. Tears began to rim her eyes, but she didn't let them fall. She didn't want to let them know that she was crying. "I'll get you that ewok doll soon enough, though aren't you too old for toys?" She kissed his cheek as she pulled away. "I'll leave you two to get aquainted. And thank you Brad, this means a lot to me." More so than he would realise. It was a burden that was lifted, now that he was going to be okay and she wouldn't have to worry so much.
Without further ado, Kay made her exit. She still had plenty of work to do, as always. There was no rest for the wi--...Queen.
