You Got Something I Need II (Coryth)

[member="Coryth Elaris"]

Siobhan nodded. She should have thought about the fact that Coryth would probably have similar dreams! After all, the the second sight was the woman's gift...and curse. She felt about enquiring more, but she did not want to push. "I know. Guess it's time to wake up from the dream," she said softly.

For a moment she was silent, then spoke up again. "I know it'll be difficult, what you're gonna teach me, but it's something I need. Any beating I suffer in training might make the difference in battle." She took Coryth's hand and led her into Firemane HQ. Business was as busy as could be expected in the corporate building of a galactic company, but she headed straight for the turbolift that would take them down to the training area, which was vast as could be expected. It would probably remind Coryth of the training section in the Omega Pyre building on Fondor when they arrived.

"If the...worst comes to pass...and something happens to Tegs and me, could you watch out for Galina for me please? I don't expect you to be her surrogate mother and I'll ask Tempest and Miri to help out, but she's lost so much. I don't want my daughter to be alone. I...couldn't bear it if something happened to her," she said feelingly as they stepped. As much as Siobhan did not like it, even she was only mortal. Her daughter had just been saved from a hellish life, the possibility that she could once again be alone scared her mother deeply. She felt like talking to [member="Tegaea Alcori"] about writing up a will that amongst other things would name guardians for Galina if something happened to them.

There, little Siobhan had gained Light Side Points!

Coryth nodded slowly, the fact that Sio was having these dreams too, only confirmed the reality that something really was coming, and as much as the little Jedi might like to ignore it, she couldn't anymore. "Yes, I believe it is." Spoken with a great level of sorry in her voice. For she didn't like the idea of anyone else suffering beneath the curse that she did. Seeing the future was in no way pleasant for anyone.

"I just figured I would warn you first." She managed to smile faintly, though was definitely feeling a weight growing on her shoulders. Coryth had a responsibility to Siobhan and she wasn't going to let her down, not now. Not ever. "I know you trust me. I do, but you will have to trust me one step further. Because you're going to have to let me inside your mind, to attack, to possibly cause pain to do this. And I know that's a tall order. Just trust in me, and in yourself." Coryth couldn't help as they moved through the bustling building and into the training area, just how similar it was to Fondor, and the Omega Pyre training room.

The redhead listened to Siobhan's words carefully sensing the seriousness in which she took them. "While I hope this is something I never have to do, because you live a long and happy life, I of course will watch out for her Sio. I'll make sure she is safe, healthy, and happy. Whatever in my power, should that happen I will make sure she is taken care of. You have my word." The second promise Coryth had made today, and the first ones she'd made in years. And never had she made two to one person in a single day.

A sigh came as Coryth took a quick survey of the room, making sure she had a general feel of it. Just to know where she needed to land should things not go well. "First things first, I need you to center yourself within the force. Then I want you to take a single thought, or image of something important to you. I want that to be your dominate thought. Once it's locked in your mind, I want you to one by one, brick by brick lay an imaginary wall around that thought. You're entire job is to keep me from that thought, that image, whatever it is, and keep me from getting to it. That is your only job." Coryth said calm as she plopped down on the floor, sitting comfortably cross-legged. Taking in a calming breath, Coryth centered herself with care and emitted complete calmness in her emotions, hoping some of that would spread to Siobhan. "When you are ready let me know, and I will begin to test your defenses."

Siobhan found herself unable to control herself and spontaneously pulled Coryth into a big hug. She was just so overcome by emotion after Coryth's words and her solemn promise. Presumably the little Jedi Master's face enjoyed a few moments of polite contact with Siobhan's cleavage because, well, there were huge tracts of land!

Yes, this writer could not resist making a rather immature and puerile joke about boobs. Maybe this one needs to get out more. "Thank you, Coryth. Thanks so much. This means so much to me. You're one of the full people I know I can absolutely trust," Siobhan said feelingly, emotion strong in her voice. Then she withdrew, looking a bit embarrassed, her cheeks acquiring a slight pink hue. There, the short stack of fire made Mistress Thuella blush. Coryth was truly a special snowflake!

Anyway, as sweet as the moment between our two lovely ladies, they had work thingies to do. "Ok, I understand," Siobhan said softly, likewise plopping down on the floor and assuming a comfortable meditative position, sitting cross-legged. Then she took a deep, calming breath as she sought to centre herself and focus. She had never been a patient woman and achieving the relaxed state needed for meditation had never come easy to her, but over the years she had gotten better. Moreover, some of the complete calmness of Coryth was bleeding over to her. There were so many worries and anxieties that plagued her mind, but after a while she felt like she had banished them, for the moment at least.

That done she began to focus, having found her centre within the Force. Focus upon one simple dominant thought. What was the most important thing in Siobhan's life? As much as this might surprise, it was not glory in battle and vicious carnage. Nor was it material possessions, her villa, her seemingly infinite closet packed with pretty clothes, her fancy jewellry, ships, harem of pliant girls. Of course, she really enjoyed her glamorous life style...but it was not the thing that mattered most to her. After all, wealth and possessions are fleeting, so easily swept away within the blink of an eye. The same applied to worldly glory as a conqueror, no matter how many medals cover your breast. As it is written, all of this is vanity.

No...the most important things in her life were [member="Tegaea Alcori"] and Galina. Then there was Mirien, Coryth and Tempest. Everything else came secondary. Everything else Siobhan was ready to sacrifice if need be. Anyone who tried to hurt them would die a most cruel and painful death. It was upon the image of her firemaned wife that her mind found herself focusing. It was locked inside her mind. She found comfort when she remembered her wife's smile, saw the image of her in her majestic red dress, remembered her love and strength of will. The image calmed Siobhan, but beneath those layers was an undercurrent of fear and worry, concern for her wife. Brick by brick she sought to construct a mental around it, layers upon layers of defence. Qae had told her to treat her mind as a bubble and protect it with her life. She also had Mirien's memories and knowledge to draw upon and so she sought to apply both lessons, seeking to create what amounted to an invisible fortress around the image.

It took time, effort and concentration. Beads of sweat could be seen dripping down her face here and then, but she persevered, seeking to create the strongest walls her mind could conjure up. "I'm...ready," she finally said, her voice sounding as if she was far away, but then that was what came with full immersion.

Coryth smiled, "Of course, Siobhan. It's the least I can do for you, and your family. I'd like her to not have to suffer in this galaxy alone after she's gone through so much. " The Wildling redhead, Coryth knew too well that child had been through hell and back. She simply could not allow the girl to grow up alone after what she'd experienced so early on. The kid had just been through too much. Cory had suffered through her own fair share, understood too well. She would have given anything to have had her parents back when she lost them so early in her life.

With a deep breath in, Coryth was ever so still in the Force waiting patiently for Siobhan to be ready. Having a feeling that she'd need a little more time, than Cory did to be ready. After all meditative states in the force came easily to the redhead. She suspected that she might know what Siobhan would choose, she didn't actually know the thought, the moments the chosen image. It was impossible to know without invading Sio's mind. Though, that was the entire purpose of the exercise.

At Siobhan's word, Coryth sunk a little deeper into the Force. Reaching out she drew upon the tangled web of power pulling as much of it into herself. Finally with enough power, she extended her reach in the force towards Siobhan. At first, she simply enveloped the whole of her being, surrounding it to make a good assessment of the barriers Siobhan had in place.

The small redhead then started to poke, and push testing the wall Sio had built. Her goal was simple, to seek the weakest point possible to exploit it. After a while of soft prodding Coryth found what she believed to the weak link. Slowly at first, she started to apply pressure. A little at a time. Her aggression soon grew as she sought to shatter through the wall, to reach the thought that Siobhan was clinging to inside.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

[member="Coryth Elaris"]

The game was on now. Coryth had trained for mental superiority. Siobhan...had not, though she had Mirien's experiences to draw upon. But then having the theoretical knowledge and trying to apply it in the heat of battle are often two different pairs of shoes. Then again, the whole point of training was to test one's limits. If the student ended up failing and suffered a couple bruises, then that was not a failure but a lesson. Better suffer a severe beating in a training situation and learn something from it, than take it easy and get a nasty surprise in actual battle.

Siobhan felt the probing and sought to strengthen her defences. Every wall would have weak spots, no fortress is without them, but she could strengthen herself. Whilst she was new to mentalism, she had lots of experience when it came to summoning Force barriers and telekinetic shields to protect her body. Lately she had started learning tutaminis, though she was very new to it. To her mind at least the principle of shielding her barrier was not that different. Wrap yourself in a powerful cocoon of Force energies, protect your mind with your life...but do not overdo it by throwing your energy around. What was important was to stay calm and controlled, even amidst massive pressure.

So when Coryth began her onslaught she tried to stay calm, though irrational fears rose into her mind, for she remembered the last time someone had tried to enter her mind. She tried to keep a clear mind, strengthen her walls where more energy was needed, even lay feints and dead ends. But soon Coryth's aggression intensified to the point where it represented a mental battering ram. Siobhan shook strongly under the massive pressure. It was probably good that she was sitting because otherwise she would have fallen over! She grit her teeth under the pressure, a surge of pain shooting through her. Her hands were balled into fists so tight that her nails dug into her palms, drawing blood in the case of her organic hand.

The layer of defence was plain and simply broken, with the battering ram having penetrated it. One could imagine that if this were real plenty of bricks would be flying around. Siobhan breathed heavily as she tried to concentrate. A layer was down...but, well, there were plenty more. In combat she had always been defined by two things: her ability to dish out ridiculous amounts of damage and her ability to equally power through ridiculous amounts of damage, give or take a few lost limbs.

Energy was poured into the motion of strengthening her walls, willing the energies of the Force to wrap their energies around her mind like a protective cocoon. She would seek to apply the principle of the telekinetic shield, that is tanking the hit. Her plan beng to have the mental volleys get repelled by her barrier in much the same way as her powers blocked missiles and telekinetic assaults. Then...she tried to hit back. This would obviously be a risk and doubtless Coryth knew several mentalist tricks that Siobhan did not, but she would try to reflect the attack back. In a very crude, simplistic sense.

Remaining as calm as possible, Coryth resisted the urge to stop once she felt the pain radiating through the Force from Siobhan. She loathed to cause people she cared for pain or fear in any form. All she wanted to do was simply comfort and protect them. In part she had to convince herself that she was protecting Sio by causing her harm now. Not an easy thought for her to deal with.

As Siobhan started to strengthen the weak places that the redhead prodded at, she would move on quickly pressing at others, increasing her speed and power as she went. Then she felt it, the first layer shattered. That was what she wanted to see, just how much it took to get through the first.

"Relax. Sink deeper into the force, and shore up the walls." Though she knew, relaxing under these circumstances was the hardest thing to do. For of all the weapons one could take into battle, the mind was the most important. It holds instincts, training, and allows one to distinguish friend from foe, love from hate. It was everything and when it was being assaulted there was nothing more frightening. Panic would well up too easily as one tried to defend it. "Try to cut me off, throw me out. You can do it." In her heart she knew Sio was capable and she had a firm foundation in the skills from Mirien, it was just a matter of testing them out for the first time.

A small smile danced upon her lips, as Siobhan took the exercise a step further. Going on the offensive. That she didn't expect so soon. Though it was only the natural and logical path of this training session. Siobhan was just one step ahead of her. Feeling pressure in her outer layer of defenses Coryth shifted some of her attention away from the assault.

The wall she threw up, were simple with clear flaws. Something that shouldn't have been given her skill, but this was all part of the plan. Siobhan was going to have to learn how to break through simple defenses before she could advance further with this skill set. If she managed to get through that barrier, it led no where. To an emptiness within Coryth's mind. It was a simple trick, bait to distract Siobhan. Hopefully it would be a very obvious one, for Cory wanted Sio to find this.

Coryth had done something similar to what she'd asked of Sio at the very beginning. She had held an image in her mind, if Siobhan reached it, she'd find a simple golden locket. Inside it, two photographs, one of a woman who looked like an older version of Coryth, and then a tiny redheaded baby, little Coryth and her mother both. That locket meant the worlds to her. One of the few possessions that meant anything to her.

Reaching out, she caught the incoming attack with an invisible mental hand. Sweeping the energy directed at her mind, off to the side allowing it to dissipate harmlessly away from her. With another deep breath she sunk into the force and focused all her power on a second attack. This time, Coryth clawed at the walls, looking to crumble the next layer of protection to dust while she still held her ground keeping the first wall open so she would still keep a footing in the brunette's mind.

Siobhan's initial attempt at going on the offensive was, truth be told, rather crude. She obviously lacked practice in it, so it was no surprise that Coryth was able to easily block the attack and dissipate it as if it was nothing. Siobhan had always been offence-focused, so it was natural that she would make an attempt.

However, she had noticed the walls Coryth had thrown up seemed...weak. At least this was what her initial probing had detected, though she had only been given very few moments to 'scan' before her blast was dissipated into nothingness and the redhead went on the offensive again. Nonetheless, for the brief interval it made Siobhan wonder. It seemed like a bait to her, for she knew that the redhead could create barriers that were a lot stronger than that.

But this had to remain speculation because she did not get the chance to test them. Her mental fortress was once again under attack and she retreated back into it, summoning all her will to shore up her barriers, plug the holes that had been blown into it. She breathed heavily and sweated when she felt the massive mental claws tear at her walls, feeling the bricks crumble as the next layer of protection threatened to fall. It was, she might have reflected, remarkably similar to the way she used telekinesis to tear down very real and physical buildings. Mistress Earthshaker had made a hobby out of tearing down buildings and making the earth shake under her telekinetic might.

Telekinetic might...that gave Siobhan a moment of clarity as she processed this thought, even as the layer of protection threatened to break and more and more bricks came tumbling down. Siobhan would never be a great mentalist, certainly not one capable of summoning mental illusions, but she felt she could apply her telekinetic methods to this situation. And so she sunk into the Force and harnessed its power. Her mind stretched out and seized the mental claws in an ironclad, merciless and unyielding grip as she poured her will into tearing them apart and crushing them. Much in the same as she would dissipate a telekinetic hand by crushing the mental binds and pincers that sought to seize her. If all went the way she wanted, she would crumble the claws that tried to turn her walls into dust, whilst preparing for a mental shockwave to sweep the broken wall clean of Coryth's influence. At least that was the plan.

Coryth registered the prodding at her baited trap, but it was quickly and easily pushed off. For a moment she wondered if Siobhan had caught onto her ploy. She didn't have long to think about that as the brunette started to push her out through some of the holes she'd broken into Siobhan's walls. She retreated a little, letting go of some areas within Sio's mind. Letting Sio shore them up. They were only ever meant as a distraction.

It seemed Siobhan had picked up on a most interesting idea, of applying her telekinetic principles to the mental game. This was good. This was progress. It would have brought a smile to her lips, happy to see the progression if not for the stress of the battle she was entangled in. Coryth winced a little as she felt the claws ripped apart before they were ultimately crushed, the simple action resonated painfully within her mind. She had only just shaken that off when she sensed the shock wave building within Sio.

The redhead retreated quickly, knowing there was a time to attack and a time to defend. Coryth threw up an immense protective wall around her mind, the incoming shockwave had power, more of it than the redhead expected. It was more than she could actually handle and dissipate on her own. Strengthening the wall she had build, the wave impacted doing considerable damage. Cory decided quickly to turn it around. With a bit of effort on her part, the Jedi gathered much of the energy sent and bundled it into a sphere. With a deep breath in she hurled the ball back towards Siobhan, intent to do as much damage as possible to her layers of defense as she could. Or so the plan went.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

[member="Coryth Elaris"]

Siobhan braced herself when the attack came. Unlike the little redhead, she did not have the gift of precognition, but it did not take that to sense an attack was incoming. As it turned out, she did not brace herself nearly enough. Of course, one had to take the significant disparity in power, training and experience into account when it came to the game of mentalism. Siobhan had inherited knowledge, but she had never gotten the chance to apply it before and in any case had long chosen power over insight. The ability to chuck rocks rather than hear the ripples.

This was the effect of it. To use an analogy to visualise things a bit better, then the impact caused by Coryth's ball of energy in Siobhan's mental wall can be compared to a salvoe of heavy artillery fire. Artillery fire directed against a fortress with outdated defences. Let's say that the fortress was using durasteel when beskar would have been in order. The effect was instant: Walls upon walls crumbled. Siobhan felt as if shockwaves was surging through her body and a sensation of pain gripped her. Disorientated and confused she cried out as she sought to get some semblance of order in her mind, retreating further into her shell. Presumably this would give Coryth more time for further mental attacks since Siobhan's mind was too chaotic to actually shore up her defences.

Again, one might compare the effect to the chaos an artillery strike can cause if brings down the outer walls of a fortress and throws the surviving soldiers guarding it into a state of pandaemonium. Not to mention all the soldiers who get blown to bits by the attack or find themselves crying for a medic, especially those buried under rubble. Imagine this mayhem, and you have an accurate picture of how the mental fortress that was Siobhan's mind looked like at present. She breathed heavily and her vision grew hazy as she struggled to gain a sense of things.

Then she lashed out. The act was not planned, rather it was instinctive. One might compare it to how a wild animal might react if cornered. Ironically, it was a mirror of how things had went between Coryth Elaris and her old master. Upon instinct Siobhan would draw upon her formidable power of telekinesis to manifest a massive blast of energy that would blossom in a force repulse, an explosion of power that would sweep forth to engulf the room and to slam directly into the Jedi Master, if it succeeded. If it worked then in all likelihood the short stack of fire should be chucked across the room. Likewise, things such as training dummies and racks would be tossed through the air, the very walls and the floor of the hall would shake under the explosion.

Coryth could feel the devastation her attack had done, nearly instantly. The redhead also couldn't miss the panic and chaos she left behind, and the pain of Sio resonated with her more than anything else did. In truth, she felt bad for the need to cause pain to a dear friend, but knew this was for the good in the end. The means, justified the end.

The little redhead instantly was behind in the destruction already seeking a way to break Siobhan's walls down further. Looking to poke at what barrier remained in the wake of the chaos.

It was in that that she almost missed what was coming. The danger sensed a little too late as instincts on Sio's part kicked in. The powerful telekinetic energy unleashed was something akin to a directional bomb going off. In part, Coryth had expected this would happen at some point, reasons she had suggested them using a larger training space other than her living room.

The tiny woman found herself caught up in the formidable wave, thrown back with the training dummies, racks and other goods all chucked with her a good distance away. The Jedi only managed a weak bubble of protection around her as she was tossed into a wall. Sliding to the ground, she found herself aching, and dazed from the impact. For a moment, all Coryth could do was sit there trying to make sense of it. While Sio tried to make sense of her mind, Cory was doing the same thing in the training room, waiting for her senses to return.

"Ugh.... Sio..." She whimpered as she leaned against the wall for support, almost certain she'd broken a rib in the process. "You throw like a tank and then some woman...." A complaint for sure on Coryth's part. "Pretty sure that's going to leave a mark, or six." Spoken as she tried to take a deep breath, though winced for the effort as her ribs greatly protested the movement. This she did not blame Siobhan for in the least. Instincts were instincts. At the end of the day they would always been incredibly unpredictable.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

[member="Coryth Elaris"]

Instincts were instincts. It was to be expected that after being pushed far and hard enough, Siobhan would lash out in such a manner. Moreover, Coryth had been battering ramming her rather severely. Proof that size is not all that matters! However, these facts did not make Siobhan feel any less bad when she finally regained some measure of coherence and was able to make sense of things inside her confused mind.

When she finally opened her mechanical eyes, they flashed as she beheld the devastation she had caused. Training dummies, racks and other goods had been chucked far and wide across the room. Likewise the walls facing her seemed to have suffered a significant dent. All in all, it looked like someone had detonated a directional bomb. Oh, and Coryth had been thrown through the room and had probably broken a rib in the process. Suffice to say Siobhan felt bad about it.

"I'm sorry...it wasn't intentional," Siobhan apologised rather lamely while she tried to get up. As it turned out she completely failed at that and fell back down to the ground because it seemed that her limbs had decided to die on her during the mentalist duel. Finally she managed to arise with a groan, though she looked rather wobbly on her legs when she quickly headed over to Coryth. "You ok? To be fair, you were hitting me very hard." For one, she was presently suffering from a headache from hell. "Looks like our last training session," she muttered in reference to the carnage the telekinetic explosion was caused.

Coryth wrapped an arm protectively around her chest. "I know, Siobhan. I know it was not." The woman managed a soft smile, as she laid against the wall. "Just going to stay here a minute I think." She had no inclination at all to move, not after that. A soft sigh followed, "Yeah, I suppose I was. That mental shockwave you sent me was incredibly powerful. Perhaps packing up that energy you sent at me into a sphere and tossing it back at you was probably not the best thing I could have done. I should have at least dissipated some of it before sending it back. I'm sorry, dear. I didn't mean to hurt you as badly with it. Though I did expect your instincts to kick in, just not quite to the degree that you did."

She breathed in and out slowly with great care. "I'll be alright." Coryth finally admitted, though she didn't wish to tell Sio that her dear friend might have broken a rib in the process. Knowing well enough, it would heal in time, as long as she didn't do anything stupid with in the mean time. "Just a little sore right now and will be a bit bruised up tomorrow I think. Nothing I can't survive with." A part of her knew, she should have better prepared herself for Siobhan's instincts knowing the woman's incredible power. "I think, I need a few minutes and we can go back to training again if you'd like."

"It's ok, dear. You know I'll kiss it all better," Siobhan said softly, still feeling a bit bad about hurting the little redhead. Coryth had not told her about the fact that she had probably broken a rib, but by now Siobhan had a firm idea about what sort of damage her powers could cause, so it was not hard to guess. Besides, she clearly noticed how slowly and carefully Coryth was breathing. Siobhan bent down to pat Coryth on the shoulder and give her a gentle, loving kiss on the cheek.

In any case she made herself useful by quickly fetching two glasses of water, for herself and Coryth. "Here, drink this," with that she passed one glass over to the Jedi Master. "I'd like to continue training, if you're game for that. I'll...try not to chuck you around again," she joked a bit lamely.

"Well I certainly, can't complain about that." Smiling, feeling a bit like a little school girl as she did so. As Sio reached down to pat her shoulder, she grabbed her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze before releasing the woman. A slight blush spread across her cheeks at the kiss, before the brunette left her side. Injuries were just part of training, Coryth knew. Perhaps she should have told Sio about the ribs. The redhead however, didn't want Sio to feel any worse about hurting her, than Siobhan already did.

When Siobhan returned, she reached up slowly taking the water from her, more than happy to drink it as sweat was just starting to bead on her forehead. "Thank you, darlin'." She nodded slowly as Sio spoke, "That'd be nice. Though I'll take a little more care not to be too aggressive with my attacks. I don't think pushing you full out, with the entire extent of my mental powers would be a wise idea to try again. Not till you learn a little more first. I promise, I'll be a little more careful not to press too hard too fast. We just need to build your skills first, then we'll see what you can do against me." There was something to be said for slow and steady wins the race mentality. "By the way you are on to something, with that explosive power you used against me. Bursts like that, can and do work to force someone from your mind. Keep on that logic. Keep working that and I think you'll do well. That nicely pushed me out for the most part. While it didn't stop me entirely, its enough if used right to force most opponents out of your mind."

Siobhan had the distinct impression that Coryth had been hurt a good deal more by the telekinetic blast than she was admitting, but decided to let the matter rest for now. After all, the redhead was just as bloody stubborn as she was, so it would probably do no good anyway. Still, Siobhan would make it up to her later!

Because kiddies might be reading this, we shall not go into detail. However, in all likelihood Coryth's closest would receive some new additions from The Lady's Haven. This reputable shop offered the finest silk wares of Kaeshana. Beautiful silk dresses and...lingerie. See, that sort of thing is important. "Ok. Sounds good. Thanks, sweetie. I figure taking things a bit slower is for the best. You're especially hot when you're kicking my arse, you know that? Or kicking arse in general," Siobhan asked sweetly, fondly stroking through Coryth's firemane. A bright smile crossed her lips when she heard Coryth's words about her mental burst. "Thanks. That's high praise coming from the mentalism mistress." Yes, Siobhan was a bit of a fangirl.

"Yeah, I think so as well. It will be for the best. We'll work you up to things, and if you use that type of explosive powers at me, I'll work to dissipate some of it off before I throw back at you again." Coryth, actually wasn't use to teaching mentalism. She'd not had many people interested in it, oddly enough. And she had seldom had a padawan and those had been more powerful in telekinetic skills with desires to learn saber skills from her. The redhead only ever had one student be interested and capable in this realm of powers. Siobhan had the knowledge and the skills, when pressed to defend it. Though, Coryth knew Sio would never be a master in mentalism, but it didn't mean that she wouldn't teach her to the fullness of her abilities to prevent the anal sith stupidity of idiots thinking they can wipe a person's memory to the point of making them forget how to piss on a toilet.

"I'm glad you think so." Coryth chuckled softly as Sio's words about being hot, though rather quickly the redhead found herself doubled over in pain. Laughing, clearly wasn't such a good idea. "Okay, so .... I think I may have bruised or even broken a rib or two in that toss of yours dear." She finally managed. Admitting she was hurt, wasn't something Coryth liked to do.

"Credit where credit is due. It's not a bad strategy. After a shockwave like that, you need to immediately shore up your walls, and build as many defenses as you possibly can before they get time to recover and try again." Still trying to extend the lesson while she recovered.

The [member="Coryth Elaris"] post above is full of snark. This writer approves wholeheartedly.

Needless to say Siobhan looked rather guilty at having broken some of the little redhead's ribs. She really did not like 'her' Coryth getting hurt! Especially when you kept in mind the simple fact that she had so far gotten hurt a lot. For instance, there was this Xerxes fellow. Whom Siobhan still sometimes felt like torturing again, but alas he was dead.

"Ok. Shore up defences after offence, got it. I'm sorry about your ribs, Coryth," Siobhan said feelingly, giving Coryth's hand a gentle squeeze. "You really shouldn't keep your injuries secret all the time. We can take a longer break if you need it. I'll try to be more controlled." She looked a bit flustered and embarrased at that. Aww, wasn't she being cute?

"It's okay Siobhan, really. These things happen in training. It's just a broken rib or two. I'll be able to mend it after a few hours healing trance later tonight." To the redhead it wasn't that big of a deal, it was a relatively small injury in the scope of her life. It barely counted as a scratch against some of the other horrors she'd experienced. "No, I shouldn't. I know. I just have a hard time admitting when I'm injured and hurting. I don't want others to know." She gave a small but careful shrug, "I just don't like to worry people too much. Especially not those I care for."

Coryth nodded, "A bit longer of a break will be a good thing I think. I can ease some of the pain in the force with a bit of time." The woman sighed again, as she finished her water. "Then we can get back to training."

"Well, I worry either way. You'll make me worry less by being straight with me about injuries," Siobhan pointed out, being unusually logical for a change. "Anyway, take what time you need. There's no rush. Long as you feel better. Any other tips you can give me?" she asked before taking a deep gulp from her glass of water. She clearly needed the refreshment.

Coryth paused and realized quickly how foolish she was being with her dear friend. "I suppose, that's an extremely fair point. I promise, I won't keep my injuries from you, from this point forward." Shifting, albeit a little painfully, wincing as she did so, she placed her back against the wall. "Just need a little time to soothe aches away and I'll be fine. The rest can wait until tonight."The little redhead then closed her eyes. Mostly doing this to take the visual stimuli out so she could focus inwards and soothe her aches, while still being able to talk to Siobhan. She'd gotten enough practice in the field as a healer to have no problem doing this. Reaching out into the tangled web of the force, the Jedi pulled upon the threads, drawing upon it's infinite power and pulled it into herself, all focusing it towards her ribs as she started to work to soothe the aches in her own body.

"Well, how I'm teaching you to protect your mind works well against most things. Especially if someone is looking to pry information from your mind, which is the exact attack I'm using upon you right now. Though, you can make this more effective if you know how to tailor your mind to match each. You need to be able to tell the different between someone looking for information, someone trying to cause pain, someone trying to trick or deceive you and someone who's only goal is to entirely erase your memories, or destroying your mind. Each has their own unique feeling to the incoming attack. So, how do you think you'd be able to tell the difference between pain and attempting to pry information from you?" She asked as she continued to work to soothe the pains in her body. The idea was to get Siobhan thinking about the differences so as Coryth tried to work such attacks, her dear friend would be able to know each and counter effectively.
