You Have What I Need

Darth Venefica didn’t seem thrilled to see their mother, but Kendrix felt it was best. Together they could hear it from her if it were really true or not. If they were actually sisters. The vision of Venefica took away her doubt however. It was frightening how much this woman looked like their mother. So much so that Kendrix wanted answers. Why wasn’t she told that she had a sister? What else was her mother hiding?

Kendrix took a moment to look at the severed blade of her father’s sword quietly morning the loss of its blade. She left its sheath on the ground beside it but kept the hilt on her person. She wanted to keep at least it to remember him by. After that she lead her sister out of the woods and into the city of Crovhana. It’s large structure interlaced with the beauty of nature. Despite being middle class, Kendrix actually lived just within the noble quarters. She was far from noble however. None of the noble Theowei paid her mind how ever except for staring at her and lifting their noses to the air. Kendrix ignored them and instead led Venefica up a slight hill to her home.

Opening the door they descended a few steps into the front foyer before entering the home. The walls were an eggshell color of stone decorated with different lace and knot designed tapestries. Most of the furniture made out of wood and curved for a fluid and elegant design. They weren’t a noble family but the home gave a false sense that they were.

“MOTHER!” Kendrix voice rang harshly throughout the home in an attempt to call her mother. She couldn’t feel her in the force however. The already shaken up girl felt even more on edge because of this. Her footsteps resonating through the home as she disappeared through a door. She returned a few moments later with a note in her hand and a blank expression. An expression void of any emotion. No anger. No sorrow. In her other hand, she held a bone arm bangle with a floral pattern carved onto it, a symbol of marriage to the Theowei.

The city, it's name unknown to her, was quite beautiful and a engineering masterpiece. Darth Venefica, along with her passion for science, had another passion that involved in building and restoring structures. She had created Temples, both for the One Sith and the Black Rose, and several other structures. She slightly frowned, knowing that those responsible for building this city probably no longer existed; and that was a conversation she would have enjoyed having.
Her sister, something she was getting used to, led her into a what she deduced was the girl's home. The inside was decorated with fancy and rich looking furnishings. The term nobility came to the Sith Lady's mind; and she felt even more betrayed by their Mother. Darth Venefica had no desire to surround herself with such material objects, even though she had the credits to do so through her company, but felt a stirring of rising hatred for their Mother. Her Mother left her in the swamp to die in exchange for a life of living in lavish surroundings; Darth Venefica believed now that their Mother was selfish and only cared for herself.
While her younger sister when off to bring the woman to be introduced to her first born, Darth Venefica felt a strange feeling that their Mother had pulled another stunt. Especially after there was no response after her sister called for her. Darth Venefica turned around when her sister returned, seeing a blank facial expression; and holding a piece of paper in one hand and some sort of trinket in the other.
"Betrayal is always worse when it comes from family."
