Private You Know My Dad?

Saya Taiyou-Fyre Saya Taiyou-Fyre

"Credits, rare jewels, equipment. I rarely stay on one things.... but never people. Slaves are no worth dealing with and I dislike the ones who try and pay with other peoples lives. All of those choices they are able to make and they choose to take away the choices of another." She looked at her though as the girl seemed to be trying to think something out and offered only a smile. "It happened once and well we can all see how that turned out." She said it with a look though of what can you do as the police were walking up and she spoke with a grin on her face that was getting wider. "Better hurry, do you really want to turn me in Sweetie? Or do you want to interrogate me more?

She looked at her as the squad came and stood there in front of her. The zeltron sliding out of the chair as she rose up and looked at the taller man with a look in her eye. "Hi daddy." She said it and turned around. "Want to take these off... we can wear them later if you want." She gave a wink looking at some of the others. "And you brought my mocha skinned dommy mommy as well." Two fo the officers seemed to adjust their collars while looking. "You made a mess, in public and everything couldn't you have done it in private like the others?" She gave a frown and turned as her hand came out fo the cuff for a moment.

"I could have but then no one would have gotten the message that you don't cheat in the marketplace. What if this had been you or your captain.. or anyone else he tries to bribe and cheat. I am doing a public service handling these problems who would try and bribe officers of weak moral character." She nodded her head looking at each of them and waved to the one in the back. "Hi Billy." The grin was there though on her face as she turned around. "Oh sweetie, I totally spaced on this important life lesson. When coming to a world and planning to operate. Always befriend the local police force. You'll find ones who will work with you and let you do things fore the right price."

Nothing about this woman made sense to Saya. She treated taking life as if it were just as simple as dusting a room. Like she hadn't just robbed that man of his own choices. An entire lifetime of them. And to speak of despising slavery? There was a certain irony in it that she found both appalling and poetic. For a moment, Saya understood why her father had gone with the Sith. It was just the sort of thing his broken-mind would have loved to entertain, unravel, and watch. To think even back then he'd been torn down so much.

But maybe that was just what the galaxy did to people who didn't have the safety of walls and armies to hide behind.

Saya couldn't do more than just watch as she nonchalantly joked with the officers who'd come to pick her up. She wasn't sure if she should have been angry with how equally uncaring they seemed to be. Then she turned to her and gave her one last piece of advice. Like a mother who'd left her at an orphanage and thought this one piece of advice could make up for decades of abandonment. Or maybe she just thought it was hilariously apropos. "I'd say this is good-bye, but I have a feeling we'll see each other again," Saya said, eyes darting between the officers. She wondered if they'd walk the streets in the years to come, or be left to rot in some alley by tomorrow.

She looked at her as the officers were leaving and smiled waving them off. She small skipping over there. "It doesn't have to be sweetie... come one. I just reunited with you after all these years. Imagine the things we could do." She said it and looked at her holding her hands out. "I mean you pointed a gun at me... I tried to stab you... we both said some things about your dad he will totally be embarrassed to hear. We should get some food or better yet I can like teach you to ride a speeder and how to use a scythe blade to run people down." She remained there sliding her saber to her hip in a better place as she held the cuffs in her hand. "Here, I'll even return these to you."

When did she get those cuffs off? Saya's breath hitched as she realized how much she had unwittingly missed, and how easy it could have been for the dark sider to kill her had she had the desire to do so. Even with all her time aboard warships, watching from orbit as her father and her mother, their friends and comrades fight on the surface of worlds, she'd never learned of the true, quiet danger some beings possessed. She almost shuddered as she took the cuffs from the dark sider.

"Maybe another time," she said hesitantly. It was a lie. For all the many terrible things Dax had done, he'd ensured his daughter was raised around kindness and love. She would never be like this dark sider. Or him. "But if we meet again...maybe we'll share a drink?" A tentative offer, half to please the other, but also because her own curiosity was not quite sated yet. There were more questions, but first she needed to process.

She looked at her and was only disappointed for a moment.. the barest flicker on her face but she moved forward and placed a finger under the girls chin. "Oh I think we will sweetie. Maybe next time you'll even join me." She said it and her smile was there as she moved back. "Say hi to your dad though... who knows maybe he'll miss the old days and reach out to talk to me or threaten or something else. Wouldn't it be funny if he sent an army and I tore them to shreds." She said it with a laugh and thought of Adilynne Frose Adilynne Frose who was a rage goddess and that sith maruader would be welcomed and enjoy such a thing. Azlyn turning around though and walking as it became a skip.
