Discussion Your favorite unexpected RP moment!

I'm scarier with my mask off.
Simple
Been a while since I did one of these, and figured it could be fun :)

Q: What's your favorite RP moment (per character) that you didn't plan/anticipate?

It can be something that was just fun in that moment, or perhaps it's something that kicked off an entire character arc or had you change directions with your character in a way that's really special to you.

Have fun!

Very simple (and I have YOU to thank for giving me the idea!) - turning this character away from becoming "Caltin Vanagor 2.0" to a Shadow.

It's been the best.

1) Revna - The romance that started between her and the Sith King Darth Caedes Darth Caedes is probably one of my favorite RP moments since being on Chaos. It was a spontaneous thing that I was not expecting (I don't think either of us were expecting our characters to go that direction) but I'm so here for it. I never expected my lil Sithy gal to 1) fall in love, or 2) have the opportunity to become a queen. Very excited to see how that story arc unfolds and how it impacts her future story developments!

2) Veradun - He received an invitation to become a Sith apprentice to Darth Nefaron Darth Nefaron and the whole exchange occurred naturally and IC and it was completely unexpected and it was such a cool experience to write out. Of course I reached out to the writer after the invitation was given and we connected and found out that our characters mesh really well and so we decided to team up to write our stories together!

Honestly I didn’t expect my Mando OC, Minerva Fhirdiad Minerva Fhirdiad to eventually join with the Galactic Alliance when I started writing her here on the forum. It was a wild ride of arc when it lasted.

As for my CIS merc, Takeshi Ryu Takeshi Ryu while I had only a few posts, his first mission proved to be quite crazy and it was fun to write him getting the nickname Noddles due to the stuff plastering on some of his armor accidentally during said firefight.

Kaila Irons Kaila Irons , Laphisto Laphisto , Tella Voland Tella Voland , and Spek Zhio Spek Zhio all jumping into my FATE story and wanting to help me jump start my legacy story. I really didn't expect anyone to want to be involved I went into winging it just hoping I got one person to help me tell the story I wanted to tell.

Then it got bigger with OMEN with Quinn Varanin Quinn Varanin , Diarch Reign Diarch Reign , Eira Dyn Eira Dyn , Tarasynora Tarasynora , Trayze Tesar Trayze Tesar , and 17-KR7 "Enigma" 17-KR7 "Enigma" joining in.

Just Kaila Irons Kaila Irons in general for trying to include me in so much in her story and wanting to be apart of mine.

During the Coruscant invasion last year the Dark Empire wrote a Star Destroyer prototype coming up from beneath the Galactic Senate chambers during their invasion of the planet. While the entire premise of it was inspired by a fan-movie (I put together the dots between this and the movie when the YouTube algorithm randomly recommended it to me months ago) I still thought it was really cool, unexpected and was a testimony to staff on both sides for making it happen.

It also really helped that I read that post while listening to "Dom & Roland: Imagination" and the drop in that song hit just as I got the part where the Star Destroyer was rising from the ground.

Really great post.

Revna Revna The romance between Caedes and Revna has been an unexpected pleasure and joy! Did not see that coming!

Elmindra Xitaar Elmindra Xitaar & Madrona A’Mia Madrona A’Mia Failing the ritual over Sluis Van, during a GA invasion, turned into an unexpectedly powerful story moment for Caedes and his Korriban associates. Not enough writers want to write their big-bads failing, or even failing miserably, but I found that it was actually great for generating story direction and group-plot (with a group of good and supportive writers around me; namely those mentioned here).

I'm sure there are other examples and story to talk about, but these are the first that come to mind!

Blessed are the peacemakers
This was a couple of years ago when I was writing Preliat, but this guy made this really cool post about having an illusion on the battlefield of multiple projections, right? Well I said that Preliat noticed that only the real one was sinking into the mud. So I had Preliat- fucking suplex the guy.

The guy messaged me and went "did you just fucking suplex me?" and I was like yeah, too much, you can dodge it, all that and he was like nah man- it was pretty cool and I just never expected anyone to suplex me.
