Your Favourite Song of All Time, Ever

I was just listening to it a bit earlier, but my favorite song of all time is definitely Eclipse by Pink Floyd.

It's the perfect culminating song, considering all of the themes and ideas presented in The Dark Side of the Moon, which is itself, my favorite album of all time.

OK, I have one more all-time favourite song. While Cheerleader brings back very chill vibes for me, makes me feel careless and reminds me to be happy, Standing By has a completely different effect on me.​

See, I am a very emotional person, but I don't cry too much when listening to music. This one, however, brings me to tears every time I listen to it. It's not a too sad song, but it holds a lot of meaning for me. Not the lyrics, but the song itself. It instantly calms me down and makes me feel loved. It gives me the feeling that I am not alone and whatever happens, there is always a solution. Cheerleader makes me careless, but Standing By gives me the empathy I need to overcome difficulties.​

No description of how it makes me feel will do suffice. So just listen to it. If you feel the same way, you'll know what I'm talking about. If not, that's OK - just try to deal with my horrible description.​

This will always be my favorite song. When I finally saw them live a few years ago I got goosebumps and cried when they played this. Its been my go to song for when depression hits.

Now, as a man who is about to be going stone cold deaf in one ear soon, music has a very special place in my heart. I love a lot of music, all forms of Metal, Classic Rock, techno, dance, etc, etc.

But one song has always been my favorite song since the day I heard it when I was about 9 years old. It stuck in my head and led me down the hole that is being a metalhead, then eventually into goth music and all that crazy all black poodoo. Judge me if you like, but this song is th ebest song I've ever heard, still holds true now.
