Ella gave Sochi a wink before raising her hand to the hand railing and holding herself in place, watching the sky line whip past through the glasteel windows to the side of them as the shuttle broke through the stratosphere of Troiken towards Mt. Avos, where their mission would begin.

[SIZE=12pt]As the transport Iella traveled in approached the surface, she read over the reports for Troiken and the main objectives for securing the planet. Also the intelligence of a new weapons facility added to the mix. Her heart sank at the thought of the mutates .. it reminded her of the Harvest, the living dead that plagued the galaxy spewing out black toxic goo to continue the infection and transform beings in their like. It sickened her then and it sickens her now. Experiments are an abomination .. taking the liberties of beings and forcing them to be something they are not, and generally without any recourse for reversal. [/SIZE]

[Antares]

He looked to the republic soldiers around him. He was conversing with them when the Jedi Padawan and the Jedi Knight had walked in. He continued to do so, until something occurred to him. "Master Ru." He said as he approached, continuing to hold onto the overhead rails. "Where is this transport heading?" He probably should have known, but that's what happened when you jumped onto whatever shuttle was the closest to you.

He nodded his head in greeting to the other Padawan and flashed her a smile.

[Mother Askani]

Sochi smiled at her Padawan when she was thrown a wink. It was nice to see her in good spirits during this dominion. It wasn't unusual for tensions, and emotions to run high. The ship began entering the atmosphere, and was heading through the mountain ranges. Then her attention was drawn from an voice coming from behind her, she she turned to see who it was she noticed that it was Padawan Windu. Sochi remembered seeing him at the Academy some time ago. She hadn't even noticed he boarded.

"Nice to see you joining us Padawan Windu, but to answer your question we are heading to Mt. Avos. We have to take care of a weapons factory located within." She said softly, and calmly. Ru had exuded a professional demeanor. The pilot called out and announced that they were preparing to land. Now they would have to find their way in on foot,

The shuttle landed rather roughly on a small opening in the mountain. These were the right coordinates, but they had to go on foot from here. The doors slid open, and Sochi stepped out, then her comlink cut on and she received a message from Master Iella E'ron. She asked for for more details regarding the mutants.

"Master E'ron what I can relay to you is the description of these failed experiments, they have stringy hair, and a lipless mouth filled with sharp teeth. They have a layer of skin that grew to cover their eyes. They happen to be slightly taller than the native Xextos, and they attack in groups. Sightings have been reported during the nighttime, so I'm assuming these creatures are nocturnal. I can't imagine if there is hope for those poor creatures." She said talking into her comlink, while taking some steps further away from the shuttle. Sochi wasn't sure if there was hope, she doubted that. Possibly there was a way to reverse the effects, surely the Arkanians fixed the mistakes they made in the beginning seeing as they were eventually successful.

Turning to face their small group she waited while everyone got situated, "Everyone prepare to move out, we mustn't waste time." She said softly, yet sternly.

[Antares]

His gaze left Ella's and came back to the Jedi Knight, Sochi Ru. When she answered he inclined his head to her and held on tighter when their ship skidded slightly across a rough patch. "Quite the landing." He said drily when the ramp opened up and the republic soldiers and the Jedi filed out.

He listened to the description of what the beasts that Sochi gave to the person on the other side of the comlink who happened to be a member of the Jedi Council. Master E` ron.

Throwing the hood from his black outer robes over his head he waited for the Knight to take the lead.

"Knight Ru, thankyou for the added information it is most helpful", she replied. It was what she was expecting, however the news that they are possibly nocturnal aided them somewhat. If they are in a state of hibernation through the day light hours or considerable less active, they might be able to locate them whilst inactive and destroy them. This would be not be easy however.

Iella signaled to the troops to move out toward the research facility. At the head of the line she positioned herself, her lightsaber in hand and ready.

Ella gave Antares a reassuring smile before stepping down the ramp alongside Sochi, hands unfolding from her sleeves. She looked around the area before looking up to her Master and asked, "I take it you're taking the lead, Master." She turned back to Antares and grinned again. "I'm sure we'll give you all the back up you need."

 

[Leori Sheltrak]

Leori was late. Why? Well because she hadn't dressed properly, and was too busy taking inventory of the medical supplies when everyone else was told that it's cold outside. After approaching the planet's surface, she had to double back and grab a warmer set of robes to wear over her typical robes.

So, she was running to catch up to the others. It was no real hardship for her, since she typically ran every day, and she had long since harnessed the Force to propel her faster.

"Sorry everyone." The Jedi Master apologized. "I was ensuring that we will have all the medical supplies that we will need."

 

[Mother Askani]

After conversing with the scouts who had made this location the center if their new objective, and uncovering the information she needed, she turned to the rest if the group to see that her Padawan was near her the entire time. She let a small smile show upon her face. Ella had been doing well since they became Master and apprentice. This would be good experience for her. She signaled to the squad that she would be leading and turned and positioned herself in front of the group. She had a scout near her since they knew the route better than she.

She fiddled with her utility belt for a second, before turning around to see that everyone was fine, then she turned back around and made her way down a steep hill of rock and rubble. The rocks were loose and could take someone with them if they took a in careful step. She spoke out to the group, but kept her focus on her steps, "Be careful, the rocks are loose. We don't want anyone to get injured. Help a fellow if its needed." She said softly, yet sternly.

Ella lowered her hand to her utility belt and pulled on the pistol cord that was attached to one of the pouches. She aimed and threw the cord around a tree that would support her weight as she made her way down. Slowly, she followed her master down the slope. As she climbed down, she asked, "Is everyone okay?"

 

[Antares]

He followed the Jedi Knight down the slope. His mind was focused on moving careful on the loose rocks. He thought of using the Force to walk down the hill. But between loose rocks and rooting himself to the ground, it didn't seem like a particularly good idea. Then there was Jedi Knight Sochi Ru's padawan who had enough sense to have brought a grappling hook, or something of the sort.

"I'm going to have to get one of those." He said, speaking his thoughts aloud.

[Mother Askani]

"You and I both Padawan Windu," she said agree with him. She stood at the end of the hill to ensure that others made it down safely. Seeing that everyone made it down she went back to leading. Now their path would take them through a canyon, along the sides was the path, and down below was water. She went right after the republic scout. There was no telling how sturdy theses rocks were as well, but she was sure that they would be fine, according to where the entrance to the factory was from here, they were that far away. As long as they stated at a good pace they would be there in no time,

[Antares]

He looked to the Jedi Knight and grinned. The path was changing on them as they descended the hill, and now it was time to use the Force to root himself to the ground more than he already was.

And so for that, he summoned the Force to him and used it to hold him down more, he even bent his knees more so that his body mass would be closer to the ground, he thought it would have been a better way to prevent sliding down the mountain.

"Where are nearby, yes?" He asked as he watched the form of the Togruta, and looked to the other two Padawans beside, and behind him.

"This is Senator Miir to Jedi Teams." He said keeping his new friends up to date. "We have reinforcements on stand by and our scanners have a good read on you."

Vaudin had spent literally years as a pirate captain and then time with the Vagrant Fleet. He prefered and the Jedi woman was cute (pick one).

"How Is progress?"

 

[Leori Sheltrak]

Leori looked over the edge at the steep hill with loose rocks and considered how best to tackle it. Two of the Jedi opted to tackle it carefully, while another used a device to steady themselves as she declined the hill. The Jedi Master on the other hand, would do something much different than the others. Not to show off, or anything like that, but she used the Force to propel her jump to the tree that the Padawan had used to steady herself.

She took a moment to steady herself on the tree branch, and to choose herself a spot on the ground away from the others so that she didn't hurt them. Another jump, and she landed softly on the ground in a squatted position. It was a quicker and safer route for Leori.

Joining the others again, she continued with them quietly.

 

[Aika Kawakami]

The small shuttle came out of hyperspace, Trokiken right before their eye. Aika had been sent to lend any needed assistance. Without much of a briefing, she had no idea what to expect. Then again, the way things were forming in the galaxy, she never knew what to expect next no matter where she went. With the small squad of troops that had accompanied her, she was probably the only extra aid that would be sent. Oh, how that left her with a bad feeling..

She set the shuttles comm network to an open frequency. She needed to know who was down below, or at least what was going on. "This is Jedi Knight Aika Kawakami. I've been sent by the Jedi Council to assist in the recovery efforts. Can anyone read me? If so, please respond." With that, a small sigh slipped from her lips as she patiently awaited any response. While she could be slightly content not knowing why she'd been sent there, that of course wouldn't happen. At least never in this line of work.

Harkness continued to listen to the others and had a look on his face while he sat there. He knew there were plenty of things they could do but right now meeting with this woman was something important. Something needed and with a planet full of jedi on alert he wasn't too worried. As far as he knew she wasn't too much of a threat. He even sent a second message to the academy on Vaynai a world near them but not on the Republics list of things to go after. The headmistress someone he wanted to clear the air with.

"To the lady Domino, this is supreme chancellor Harkness of the Republic. I hope this finds you well and that you respond. I think we got off on the wrong foot at the time and want to clear the air, I hold no grudges but a woman who has a reputation such as yours perhaps there is something we could work out. Please respond back."

 

[Rasu Gan]

Upon approaching the gate, Rasu was drawn to her small wrist communicator, the device flashing and sounding off a shrill beeping. Pressing the mic, she listened into the message, recognising it as Knight Kawakami. The Shi'ido would be glad to have her along for the ride, the more the merrier she thought. Depressing another button, she spoke into the mike, broadcasting a message to the Jedi's own communication's device.

"Calling Jedi Aika Kawakami, this is Rasu Gan here. We're are just about to begin the supply run down on the surface. If you want to assist, I'll send you our coordinates." Punching in the digits, she sent them through along with the message to the shuttle with the Jedi aboard. With a new plan in mind, the Headmistress made it to the pick-up area, with the three Jedi behind. They had recieved their load and now they would await Aika's reply before departing.

Words. A response. And here she thought others were annoyed by her..

The voice was easily recognizable as Rasu Gan, a personal friend of hers. This was one time she really lucked out. She opened the comm channel once more, pressing a mere button on the console. "Ah, Rassu. It's good to her a familiar voice. I was starting to think out going signals were being jammed. We've received your coordinates and are heading your way. We'll be on the ground to rendezvous shortly."

Aika glanced over to the pilot nodding slightly. The shuttle immediately began its descent to the planet's surface. Meanwhile, Aika moved toward the rear of the shuttle, smiling toward the troops that were accompanying her. However, her feet came to halt as one spoke. "Ma'am, if I may? You spend more time on Coruscant than any other Jedi I know. Why is that? There's plenty of opportunity to get in on the action." Her eyes looked to the trooper, her grin turned to a full-on smile. "The answer is simple. There is enough bloodshed in this galaxy. I believe there are other ways to solve our problems, rather than answering violence with violence. A lesson, I for one, hope more in the Republic will consider learning."

Yinch was a ball of excitement and pleasantness as he waited for orders. He was sure he could help with something. He rushed aboit looking for his master and a place to jump in and be useful.
