Yume wa Yoru Hiraku (Leori Sheltrak)

Matsu looked at her and had arrived, the soft glow of the wellspring as she looked into the waters coming down the stream. She spoke looking at Leori while crouching down cupping some of the water as it washed over her hand making her feel the energies of the force going itno her pores. "No it is alright, I often stayed long hours in the libraries on Tython or worked on Coruscant. It was preferable to be with the holocrons and learn rather then face the world... Now I spend my time learning the mysteries of the force. Looking to discover what I can while also protecting a few special things I have found. This water for instance, empowered by life for a thousand years and a symbol of the force better then most know. It flows and flows never stopping as obstructions that get in the way might cause a ripple but then are washed away. A great river able to cut through stone, smother flame and displace the air."

Leori listened and nodded in agreement with her analogy. It was accurate. “I understand why it would be preferable to judgment. It wasn’t necessarily accepted under certain Grand Masters after all. However, you cannot change the past, only your future. You did the best you could, of that I am sure.” She offered the woman a smile. It was certainly difficult in isolation. The healer knew that all too well in her time spent at medical centres all over the galaxy.

"My past is something I don't regret, I did what was needed to preserve life. Was it the best course no but no one was offering an alternative they were all afraid to act and would rather debate a decision any decision done that wasn't their own. It is the way of many I have observed, so willful in their opinion and judgement but when the time comes, when the moment to act comes they are silent letting others do what they cannot so they can claim their own... righteousness." She stopped more by the water now as it was deeper and glowing. "There are ledgends that there are caverns and chambers the waters lead to, filled with the riches from all who have made wishes here. Like it is a well but you never know... Well I know I plan to swim through it and explore the underwater sections for research. There could be a great many things under the surface."

Leori nodded. “Regret changes nothing. Second guessing decisions cannot change them. I always tell my students that when you make a decision, it’s the best one considering the available information. We cannot predict the future, or what exact ramifications our choices will set into motion, but we can deal with them as they arise.”

She offered a smile before nodding. “I haven’t been swimming in a while.” She motioned for Matsu to lead the way.

Matsu looked at her and had a smirk on her face while she dug in her equipment pack getting two of the rebreathers. The small mouth pieces were great for not getting in the way while she tossed it in the air underhanded for Leori to catch. "Catch" She started stepping into the water and pulling her hair back as she felt the energies of the force washing over her limbs. She dipped down into the water while she was inhaling for a moment before her head went in and she started swimming for the deeper parts.

Leori smiled and caught the rebreather. She was very thankful that the woman had opted to bring some equipment, where Leori had not. The only thing she had on her was a lightsaber at the small of her back. She was dressed for leisure after all.

As she followed Matsu into the water, she slipped the rebreather into her mouth and followed her dark haired companion into the depths. The water was invigorating indeed. It felt wonderful after the many hours she’d spent healing Matsu.

Matsu enjoyed the feeling of the water and it was just like on Ruusan, within the valley of the jedi when she had used the waters to reconnect herself to the force... somewhat it still required she journey inward and face herself. To pass the trails given to her by the five... but she had been able to do that and seeing her own frailty laid bare had been sobering... now she was barely using the force and her body was able to move, to slowly work in the water while she continued to swim following the currents of the force and stream. UNtil it changed, she could feel more and there was something else, more things in the water that brought her attention around until Matsu was looking up into one of many caves. The soft light from crystals was there illuminating it and casting crooked beams of light through the water. She could feel something up there and came up touching the cold stone. Her ears assaulted for a moment with sound from the crystals in the cave and their humming in the force. It was beautiful as the light they gave off radiated and cast different colors everywhere.

Leori was having a different experience in the water. She was comfortable in the water and it was simply fun for the Jedi Master. She did however hear the humming too. With quick and powerful strokes of her arms, Leori reached the surface where the humming grew louder and the light caused her eyes to squint while adjusting.

“Beautiful…” she commented as she pushed her wet hair off of her face and walked over the cold and wet stones to examine the crystals a little more closely.

Matsu was looking at the crystals and raised her ear to it, taking the time to focus as she spoke. "They are singing, kind of... Listening to crystals is not a skill many try to use but they can do a lot and teach you more. The kyber crystals are dangerous in some ways like that." She had a thought touching one as the pitch changed in response to her crystals in the saber o her hip. She was interested in seeing what they knew while moving a hand along the cave wall and crystal. There was so much here and that might explain the waters unique properties, she wasn't going to complain just keep her chin up and walk using the force more then her eyes.

Leori nodded. “It does sound like they are singing.” Not in any language she could decipher, but the sounds were beautiful nonetheless. The Jedi Master didn’t doubt that the crystals had secrets. But, she had never been curious enough to try and unlock those secrets. Instead, she enjoyed the simplicity of their beauty and sounds.

Matsu looked at Leori and gave a nod of her head. She had spent time with Jeela relearning how to listen and focus on the crystals... more sentient in some cases but she knew a few things when she saw it. There was a great deal within the caves as she was moving. Matsu stopping to grab a few shards as she held them to her ear and flicked it to ping. She was moving through the cave and spoke. "They say there is history here, more so then some, sounds like something from a long ago war is buried... Or they are talking about something from last year. Their sense of time is very different then the rest of the galaxy. Eternity in the blink of an eye or a sliver of crystal. Though I do love mysteries."

Matsu looked at her as she was moving, her eyes roving over the crystals while she found it. "They are saying there is something here but I am not certain what. Names are not their main way more images. Seems a ship crashed itno the waters long ago and the current carried it into a large chamber. We might have something special to find." Matsu held a small smile on her face with that thought though while she was moving now. "Come on, there might be something special within it."

"A Ship?" That was interesting. But was it's pilot still inside? Probably dead at this point, though she had no idea of how long ago that a ship might have landed here. "Let's hope that there are no corpses inside it," she added grimly.

Matsu looked at her and shrugged a little. She didn't know what might be there it sounded like the ship had crashed a long time ago which meant most likely a husk that wouldn't work. They'd have to work hard to get it space worthy again... or a team of silver jedi engineers would do that while Matsu and Leori had some drinks while relaxing on their vacation. She smiled more while walking off towards the path following the crystals hum that was leading the way towards the ship as she spoke. "Yeah, there are always things that crash on worlds like this. A good place for things to get lost."

Leori followed Matsu. It was true. Even in times where technology made possibilities nearly endless, things went wrong. Ships crashed. Machines failed. Droids kill people. And things still managed to get lost. A lot. Some never to be found, and others still being sought after after millennia had past. “Well, let’s see what we can find,” she offered, sounding hopeful.

Matsu gave a nod to that, nothing like the thrill of discovering something buried deep or uncovering an ancient tomb. She was looking to try and gather as much iformation as she could about it all and wanted to see things in a new light. Matsu had some ideas at least of what they could do while her hands ran over the crystals coming away for a moment to adjust her robe and take out a glow rod. Better to see and mark their path int he dull glow of the crystals while they came to a small chasm that had not been formed naturally. She was looking at the parts of it where crystal had shattered and had rusted, dirt covered metal. They were going down a little deeper and she started wrapping the force around herself and jumping to slow fall.

The woman was smart to mark their trail, even though Leori was confident that she could go back the way that they came. The cave however might have other ideas. The Jedi followed behind quietly, not talking so that Matsu could hear what the crystals had to say as they moved through the caverns.

Matsu kept moving through the cave for she wasn't sure how long, time seemed to slip by but they were slowly progressing and marking the trail until they came to the bottom or the hole. Matsu keeping the glow rod at the ready while her eyes were working to make out shapes and debris. She didn't expect much and there wasn't much left, solar panels cracked and rusted, sections of hull breached and twisted. The rust and time making it a miscolored lump in the crystal that was smashed around it. Matsu kept moving forward and found an opening into the ship squeezing herself through but able to walk at a small crouch.

Leori leaned against the hull of the ship and crouched down at the opening that Matsu had just gone through. She wasn't going to follow in the event that the woman found herself with no where to go and would have to turn around and come back. The Jedi Master did stick her head in the hole though.

"What do you see?" She inquired, since she saw very little without the glow rods that her companion was carrying.
