Strengths:
- Extremely versatile. With a minimum muzzle velocity of 200 meters per second, this weapon system is capable of being suppressed for close range work. With a maximum muzzle velocity of 600 m/s, it can also serve as an effective anti-material weapon as well.
- The .50 Caseless forgoes the typical bulky brass case, allowing more rounds to fit in a magazine.
- Recoil reduction technology scales to adapt to the muzzle velocity of the weapon. At maximum velocity, the customer can expect 70% efficiency.
- Microprocessor works with rangefinder to calculate the impact point of the round. When paired with a HUD, can effectively predict the round's trajectory and display it on the HUD, allowing for accurate hip fire.
- Heavy for its size. All the tech packed in makes for a heavy weapon, which makes it harder to handle than a lighter weapon.
- Complex. Between the scalable velocity tech and the recoil reduction tech, nevermind the rangefinder and processor, there's a lot to go wrong if the weapon isn't properly cared for.
- Though the .50 Caseless is much smaller than traditional .50 caliber rounds, it's still larger than most assault rifle rounds, and the weapon has a smaller magazine capacity than other weapons its size.
Utilizes scalable muzzle velocity tech from this rifle. Propellant charge can accelerate the round up to 200 m/s. If additional velocity is required, the coil gun components built into the barrel accelerate the round further, allowing it to achieve a maximum muzzle velocity of 600 m/s. Also utilizes the impact prediction software and the .50 Caseless round first seen in the parent weapon. As with the parent weapon, the impact prediction software needs to be trained periodically, or it will lose effectiveness.
Uses an electromagnetic variant of the recoil reduction tech from Krest's Hand Cannon. Instead of using directed gas to fire a piston backwards, a single electromagnet coil propels a rail guided counterweight in the opposite direction of bullet travel, thus cancelling out a significant portion of the recoil. In order to save power, the recoil reduction scales to match the muzzle velocity. No more than 70% efficient when used at maximum velocity.
Power is provided by rechargeable power cells in the magazines, as seen in other RCFC products. The cells must be recharged before the magazines can be reused. A quick recharge kit is included with purchase, allowing the cells to be recharged in under a minute, but a minute is an eternity in a firefight. Customer is advised to carry enough magazines to see them through a fight, because charging while being shot at is nearly impossible.
