Zul maintains his composure throughout everything he does, from everyday tasks to the heat of battle, where few actions illicit any abnormal responses from him. Zul prefers a slow and methodical approach to his tasks, typically when he is undergoing a search, yet his combat style contrasts it as a more fast paced and to the point. This may be due to his disliking for battle, though he has not made any vocal comments about the exact nature of this.

Abilities and Traits

Zul, who was once an Inquisitor of the Galactic Empire, is a skilled interrogator and seeker of knowledge, utilizing the powers of the Force to gain information that he desires. His unrestricted use of condemnable powers that can cause permanent psychological damage is something that people are made quite aware of if they recognize him and his reputation. In addition to his skills of seeking, Zul is an expert fighter, utilizing an aggressive variant of the Ataru lightsaber form that is both extremely mobile and quick to force an opponent on the defensive. He has also been trained in the way of Teras Kasi, which compliments his way of fighting as well as never truly being underequipped to fight a lightsaber user.
+ Has developed a powerful grasp over Force Powers that emphasize around telepathy and searching minds.
+Fast and agile fighter skilled in the use of dual weapons.
+Trained and well practiced in Teras Kasi.
- Aggressive and quick fighting style exhausts his stamina quickly, making it difficult to engage in prolonged duels.
- Despite Glistaweb robes, he is vulnerable to attacks aimed at his extremities.
- Emphasis on deceptive combat and attacking from various angles makes him a poor candidate for full frontal attacks.

Equipment

Glistaweb Robes
A majority of Zul's clothing is spun from Glistaweb, providing a lightweight robe that gives a free range of motion and mobility in combat with the added protection against blaster fire. Zul's torso is protected by a duraplast cuirass that provides a sturdy amount of protection without sacrificing too much speed. He wears plastoid vambraces and protectors to areas such as the forearms, shins and shoulder pauldrons.
Dual Lightsabers
Zul wields a pair of red lightsabers with a rather simple hilt composed of a black and silver exterior with a cone-shaped pommel at the end of the hilt. They are magnetically attached and detached from his belt and provide a good mix of offensive and defensive capabilities in combat. They are his primary weapons of choice for most engagements.
Sickle Sabers
[ x ]
Zul carries with him a pair of sickle sabers, specifically designed by him and made for specialized melee combat. Zul utilizes a specially designed form to handle combat with lightsaber users. They are used on special occassions.

Kai'Mer - Way of the Nexu

Kai'Mer is a lightsaber style specifically created and perfected by Zul Grimm for use with sickle sabers. Kai'Mer focuses primarily on an aggressive and mobile way of combat that aims to disarm, dismember, and amputate opponents. Kai'Mer is utilized whenever the inner edge of the sickle sabers are ignited and generally uses the entirety of the weapon to harm opponents. The outer edge which is a sharpened phrik edge is used to flay flesh from unarmored opponents as well as defend against lightsabers by deflecting them off at an angle while the inner lightsaber edge can be used to cut through armored targets.
Kai'Mer blends the fighting forms of Ataru, Soresu, and Makashi. The curvature of the sickle sabers makes it difficult for an opponent, especially slow and aggressive ones to properly attack the user whilst also placing a heavy focus on manipulation/redirection of an opponent's weapon. Kai'Mer is a style that works best in the form of counter-attacks, though it is aggressive to control the opponent's centerline. Long, arcing sweeps and slashes make it an excellent weapon and style for slashing but relatively poor for stabbing or other methods of piercing.
Despite being an aggressive style of combat, Kai'Mer is a very graceful and fluid style, the few individuals who have been able to observe it comparing it to that of a dance with its motions. The fluidity of motion utilized by Kai'Mer focuses along simple but efficient parries that leave an opening for counterattacks. Kai'Mer revolves around the user being in control of the situation both mentally and in combat. Users must maintain their composure to utilize its techniques to maximum efficiency.
Common Techniques
Crescent Strike
A technique similar to the practices of Jar'kai in which both sickle sabers are swung in a direction to cut through an opponent, or hook onto their lightsaber in an attempt to knock their weapon off to the side and expose them entirely. A bold and vicious technique that yields a lot of power and force.
Twilight Fades
Similiar in practice to the Crescent Cascade, the user swings both sickle sabers in a target direction, though one leads with the intent to create an opening by hooking and pushing aside a lightsaber while the second sickle saber follows up to hit the exposed area.

Visual Example Techniques
Overhead Parry-Counter
Thrust Defense Technique
Overhead Block-Counter-Leg Manipulation
Saberstaff/Pike Defense-Counter
Leg Sweep Parry-Counter

Zul Grimm is a human who was born on Coruscant, with a typical upbringing though he was born mute. He was discovered to be Force Sensitive slightly later on in his childhood, roughly when he was around the age of six after his family had moved away from the bustle of the city planet. Grimm acted upon his force powers at a young age, using it mostly for mischievous purposes as a child, but later on developing discipline and restraint. He would be taken in by the Galactic Empire to properly utilize his powers of the Force and was trained to use a lightsaber. What childish antiques he had as a child were soon discarded, and Zul grew to become a cold and relentless enforcer of the Galactic Empire.
When he became of age he would join the Inquisitorious, becoming one of their more useful interrogators. During his training prior, Zul had shown an aptitude and finesse for utilizing ancient Dark Side techniques that allowed him to enter the minds of those under his charge during interrogation and had a reputation for getting whatever information he sought. A majority of his young adult life consisted of him traveling across the Galaxy, seeking enemies of the Empire that posed palpable threats, or those connected to such individuals to learn the whereabouts and critical information. He was both feared and respected by his peers for the next decade since becoming an Inquisitor.
Zul was known for not speaking vocally, but telepathically, a way to keep his silence while still being able to speak his mind to bypass his physical inability for speech. In the event that he was ever captured, it would be impossible for his captors to learn any knowledge from him without using techniques that were in a way forbidden among Jedi, or not commonly practiced by other Force Sensitives. He had built his reputation on silence and knowledge and was generally avoided even amongst his peers. However, there was always a faint calling in his mind that desired to be something more, something with a greater purpose. It would be this calling that drew him to the Order of Ren.
At the age of 40, Zul retired from being an Inquisitor, joining over to the First Order. He had respected the Order of Ren as a group of individuals that worked as one, perhaps because he sympathized with their ideals and related more to them than he did the Inquisitors. His experiences did not merit any special treatment, he was to prove himself and his worth to the Order of Ren and the Supreme Leader, though his skills and combat prowess over the years would be of great benefit to him as a Disciple of Ren.
