Mission Behind Enemy Lines [Paddy Pack, Sith]

Status: Left shoulder Injured.
Objective: Searching for Padawan's( Falentra Falentra )

Beneath shaggy hairs, Ears twitched slightly. In the distance, Grrwunhoooll could hear some semblance of not only movement but combat? From his location it was faint and lasted on a moment before it faded away. The sounds caused the Jedi Knight to pause only briefly before walking over to a nearby tree and with some effort propping his dislocated left shoulder against the trunk as raised as he could manage without letting out a roar of pain. Under his breath a slur of curses were spoken in Shyriiwook.

Golden eyes inspected his position, the tree trunk and his left arm before mentally preparing himself to reset the dislocated limb back in place. Its only little bit of pain. It will pass. It will pass. He told himself mentally and began practicing Jedi breathing techniques before counting down.

POP!

The sudden shift of his body weight was all it took to pop the shoulder back in place and send white hot sparks from the socket into his nerves and the rest of his figure in millisecond's. Grrwunhoooll roared a cry birth out of pain and anger. Anger for the situation and the responsibility that the wookie had over watching all the Padawans. Though the attack on the shuttle was outside his control, As a Jedi he felt the weight of protecting those who otherwise could not on his shoulders and even more so this was felt culturally.

Loyalty to his comrades. His fellow Jedi.

Still coping with the pain, Grrwunhoooll's claws protruded from hidden slits in his shaggy finger tips and scratched chunks of bark off the tree. It was all he could do to calm himself from the flood of emotions and physical pain that he felt currently. A soft moan escaped his maw before his once again shallow breaths returned to deeper ones.

Breathe. Focus my breath. Composing himself the wookie took up a sprinters stance as if ready to run and closed his eyes to listen once more for any sort of sound. A hint for a direction. All he needed was one padawan and the rest he would find later. Once a sound came to ear, Grrwunhoooll leaned forward ever so slightly and opened his eyes to a ever stretched blur that became the forest around him. Only the forest was not the one moving. He was and at preternatural speeds.

She whistled an old Mandalorian tune as those many eyes searched her prey like security scanners. A flick and swish of that massive tail drawing the attention of many of the Padawans as Domina witnessed their nerves falter and waver in the face of adversity. It was something she could smell at this point. Fear and dread…such a scent made her physically sick as she grimaced in disgust while glaring down at the padawans from beneath her Mandalorian Mask.

Still, not all hope was lost! Especially as a handful of them drew their weapons regardless of every synapse in their brains telling them to flee there were those who steadied their resolve and stood their ground with fire in their souls. Raphael Gallustrade Raphael Gallustrade quiet lad remained silent in the back, merely observing but steadily kept a hand on what appeared to be a holster for a pistol! Aris Noble Aris Noble was the first however to draw his silver blade, pointing it towards Domina which caused her to playfully lift her hands while glancing at both of them.

"Oh nooooo, what ever will Dima do!" She wheezed in slight laughter before slapping her knee with one of her lower arms giggling impishly before exhaling deeply, shaking her head and sighing in delight from what she witnessed.

These kids had heart. She liked that, even if she had to TAKE said hearts. But then, as if evoking the fates a girl appeared between Domina and the others like Braze, who seemed to have a plan of action of his own as the boy ducked off into the brush. A fresh faced lass pleading to Dima with such emotion and desperation in her voice that Dimas tail which was poised and ready to strike ever so slightly just…lowered itself.

"If... if you're not here to bring harm upon us and you genuinely want to aid Braze and us... please, just let us go,"

Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti words disarming the beast as Dima tilted her head, moving a leg to step forward only for the Kel Dor Ko Vuto Ko Vuto to step into her path after informing his comrades to flee while they could. Stopping Dimas curious advance.

"I'll face you Lady Dima. I think we owe it to each other after our last fight over Ryloth…" He boldly proclaimed, throwing away the loose robes of his cloak and brandishing what looked to be some kind of new weapon! Which made since considering Dima currently possessed his saber but still, in the moment Dimas eyes widened behind her mask as she gasped and quickly became all giddy and elated at the sight of Ko striking a battle ready pose before her.

"Mmnf! Wow, you lightborn are just too PRECIOUS!! Such heroics and drama it's even BETTER than the holomovies!" She squealed, bouncing in place as that massive tail proceeded to rattle and violently swish about behind her. "Ohhhh Manda, a single tear rolls down this cheek Dima assures you little goddess~" She purred towards Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti , gesturing with her neck for her to go ahead and get a move on. "Because you are so sweet and precious, you may take your wounded and flee. So long as at least one or two of you stay to keep Dima company, yes?" She mused, lifting her claw and lingering her fingers along each of the padawans before her as if she were counting them out in her head now that Braze Braze and Zaiya had been removed from the list of available combatants.

Then…THEY showed up. And immediately Domina groaned aloud as the Darkborn appeared from the forest around them.

"Domina, PLEASE, you are scaring the pada- lightborns," Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr warned, causing Domina to roll her five eyes so far up into her skull she was practically staring at her own ass.

"Uggggh, FUCK Dima thought she ditched you losers. Guess this one HAS to share her prey now" She whined, ears lowering slightly as she lost count in her head and scoffed in agitation. "AND YOU MADE DIMA LOSE COUNT! HUSH!" She barked before starting over and pointing at each of the Padawans. "Ok uhhh, lets see…Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, catch a Rancor by the toe~" She sang, pointing at everyone in the area EXCEPT for Ko, her finger mainly shifting between Sol Lupercal Sol Lupercal , Aris Noble Aris Noble , and Raphael Gallustrade Raphael Gallustrade . "The Manda says you are the very best one and you…are…IT" Her claw finally ended on the tallest of them all, and thus, certainly the strongest among these lightborn sparks. Her claw finally pointing towards Aris, who happened to already have his blade pointed towards her. "There, you, sweet champion. You two stay with Dima, and the rest of you can go~" She called towards him, gesturing with another arm for him to come stand beside Ko, who was armed and ready.

"Thank you for securing the padawans, but from what I have heard, it seems this group are not all of them. We had such a... rich conversation upon Jutrand, I enjoyed the holocron you gave me. The Lord of Red, at your service once again," Malum spoke up as he approached beside her, with his words her ears fluttered slightly. Her fifth most central eye suddenly became magnetically pulled to the Darkborn as her pupils dilated.

"Ahhhhh yes! Little Red. Now Dima remembers~" She nearly salivated as she loomed over him now, glaring down and inspecting his blackened clothes, which often made it hard for Dima to tell one sith from another. "This one forgot she had given those silly little trinkets away. But your kind have better use for them than Dima…they make you stronger, yes? Possess words of power?" She mused, lifting a hand and gently brushing her claws along his shoulder delicately. "Which means you MUST be stronger now. So much more POWERFUL than our last encounter yes?" She asked, drool pooling within her mouth as her imagination ran wild. "Good, don't go too far for this one. If these champions fold, Dima will need someone close to take their place~" She chittered deeply against him as he tried to maintain his own space and control of the situation.

"If you would go look for the others, I will secure these in the name of our Emper-" And just like that he lost her.

"Oh Manda with this shit again. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhuuuut-thefuckup about a Emperor~" She quipped in deliberate antagonistic manner, lifting two arms and gesturing 'quotations' at the mention of an emperor. Not even hearing the rest of his sentence as that tail rattled about in agitation behind her it could decapitate anyone who happened to venture too close. "Domina is not here for you, your god, or your Emperor who in however many days, will be usurped by another, probably lamer replacement! Now if you'd kindly shuffle back into the dark, Domina will be with you soon enough. Oh yeah! And there is uhhh, a girl…cute thing. Sweet thing. Dima told her she can go, would you be a darling and call her and the boy with broken arms a ship to take them home? They don't seem like the 'Divine Champions' you people promised~" She asked, the absurdity of her own request not even dawning on the Xeno in the slightest measure shape or form. But Zaiyas passion had caused Domina to sympathize with her pleas, even if she couldn't fully understand it on an instinctive and primitive level.

Finally Domina stepped forward, her massive tail brushing delicately against Malums leg as Dima went to meet Ko where he had taken his stance.

"Sorry for the wait, godlings! Total fucking buzzkills amirite?" She cooed to both Ko Vuto Ko Vuto & Aris Noble Aris Noble , covering her face and pointing slightly towards the Sith emerging from the dark as if they were totally lame elders or something. "X9! HIT US WITH A FAT FUCKING BEAT TO BOOGIE DOWN TO!" Domina barked aloud boisterously with a dramatic swing of her arms, grabbing that massive, fluffy cloak along her shoulders and tossing it away to the grass to meet Ko, matching his stance as the familiar flutter of repulsors radiated in the air above as her small little companion droid floated down to the scene after finally catching up.

"...Yes Domina~" The droid knew the deal, and put up little resistance and with a deep groan, a couple of slots on its body opened up revealing loudspeakers. And like a jukebox, the droid cycled through a random selection of Dimas favorite songs and played one at random.

She ventured closer, a bob and a sway of her shoulders and a roll of her hips to the music as she began to get loose by bouncing on each leg back and forth before finally steadying her excitement and drawing in the focus of her five eyes. Two focused on Ko, two on Aris to see rather the boy took the challenge or looked elsewhere for his chance to escape.

"Swear to god never gonna repent! brother can Dima get another amen?" She teasingly sang to Ko in a sing-song tone as she giggled devilishly before brandishing her claws as the music picked up it's pacing and thus creating elation in anticipation!

She flicked her lashers behind her, standing toe to toe with Ko, but never moving quickly enough to cause him alarm. Unlike most, Domina immensely respected Ko, especially since their last fight she had hoped he had become stronger. Faster…better.

She widened her stance, lifting an arm and delicately attempting to caress her forearm against Ko's forearm while his weapon remained poised behind his back like a staff and ready to strike.

"Find your resolve, champion. Never yield~" She encouraged him, and the others around him. The Sith would try to feed from their fear and desperation. Domina had hoped, in some weird way. That the bravery of Ko, Aris, and the others who fought would ignite a fire in the bellies of the others. "Let your divine spark rage!" She roared, suddenly breaking the contact of her forearm against Kos arm by performing a flurry of kicks!

Transitioning from one leg to another, then back to the original, Domina attempted to used her raptor-like legs and deliver a kick to his ankle. Leg switch, a kick to Kos opposite knee. Leg switch, a kick to Kos ribs, leg switch, a kick aimed towards Ko's face. Knowing the boy had proper training, she doubted he would allow more than a single one of these kicks to land, but the risk of getting struck by the talons of Dimas feet was immense, and each leg transition was in a way a feint, causing Ko to judge what was a proper attack and what was a feigned opening. That massive tail lingering behind her as battle had finally broken out, sending waves of delight and pleasure rippling through her spinal cord like an electrical surge through her very bones.

TARGETING ACTION(S) - [DUEL ENGAGED WITH Sazo Vass Sazo Vass ]

While not as much a hunter as some of his peers back home, Besberra taught him how to move softly through the underbrush.

Traye Tesar's sweat stuck to him as his skin tingled, the interplay of Force and those who arose to evade its gaze combed underneath his skin like a cleaning-droid. Every form of intuition told him that he was close to the Padawans, and he needed to move quickly - Bogan above he needed quick, they were just kids, after all, they could need medical attention.

He heard the twitching in the trees as someone lunged through the trees like a bounding primate, and his instincts spoke before he could. Pulling out his trusty slughthrower pistol, he looked up at the young girl in the trees and his eyes were no longer looking at the forest-

"-Freeze! IPPC, hands where I can see 'em!"

Trayze Tesar's sweat stuck to tingling skin as his mind registered the glinting pairs through the half-rotted walls. Even through the laboring rhythm of breaths, the sick-sweet scent of mildew buze in his nostrils like cold latex. Half of the looked like they didn't see the light of day for weeks, and the rest were denied food for much longer. The echoing chirps of "Clear!" or "Clearing, on your right!", the reassuring squeezes or shoves as a part of his train pushed him before he could linger on just what had happened in this place. "Bravo Niner to Overwatch, confirm presence of juvenile hostages, potential medivac and psych-advis needed, ove-"

The last syllable was silenced as mindless vowels yelped down the halls. Too unintelligible to be adult, and with rusty shivs, he saw the spindly figures of the emaciated charge before plasmic bark of a blaster ended the threat. "Be advised, possible hostile elements, remove tangos." came the even-keeled voice of Overwatch. One of his detachment-mates gave the audible "tango down" as two more pulses silenced one threat, and cowed the others into submission.

Bogan Eternal they were kids! They needed medical attention they needed- But he forgot the first thing they taught him at the Academy, that to linger on a thought would invite disaster. Trayze's "tango" was something barely a meter in height, and even less in weight, a bloody grip on a rusty blade as they lunged at him, nearly puncturing the ANTIHAZ suit and exposing him to whatever filth those living here had been subjected to for Bogan only knows how long.

He sighed down his blaster rifle. One hesitant breath. Two. Brown eyes, they weren't glazed over, they had intelligence, they need to.

"Bravo-Niner, shoot the karking tango already or subdue it!"

One hesitant breath. Two. His head rang despite him taking his pills like normal, and he realized why. He had left himself open for an attack, and the Jedi girl snuck a fast one on him while he froze. Growling, turning in the dirt to a more supported prone, he steeled his nerves and barked. "Hold it! Come quietly an' ye'll be in one piece!"

"Shit."

Aris swore. It surprised him most of all but he couldn't help it. The Sith had already caught up, and this crazy outsider seemed dead set on getting her fight. The only real advantage he could even think of was the fact she didn't seem beholden to the Sith that had arrived. One that looked his way for much too long for him not to realize the position he was in.

They knew who he was.

He swallowed. Was that why they were shot down? Were they trying to go after his parents?

He gritted his teeth as he tightened his grasp around Seszil. Frustration bubbled in his gut. They were outnumbered now. He didn't want to leave Ko behind either, especially with the alien woman very clearly stating her desire for him to stay and fight alongside Ko. He might've, too. But his gaze shifted to Braze and Zaiya as he let his mind open to the former. Braze's arms were broken. And Zaiya wasn't a fighter.

The most he could hope was that if the Sith tried to intervene against Ko Dima would turn on them.

"Stay alive, Ko."

He let go of Seszil, who flew right into their sheath on Aris's back before he stepped over to both Braze and Zaiya. Let's move. He spoke through the bond before rather casually lifting both of them up on his shoulders and jumped. The raw, unnatural strength he had sent him sailing forth in the blink of an eye. With one of the Sith already there, they couldn't stick around. And he was the fastest.

Guide me to the others.

It was one thing for a Lovalla to have a very strong - and special per Braze Braze and Loomi Loomi hah! - connection with their mate. Emotions would resonate, they'd be able to feel each other's location, and their cycles would sync the longer they remained together. However, even the most intimate of these bonds did not convey a telepathic ability to where one would be able to hear the other within their mind.

Did he just... talk in my -- Zaiya couldn't quite realize that her bewildered thoughts would project to all who were now connected to her. Eyes ever growing wider, the poor Lovalla teen was just utterly stunned.

Braze's connection that intertwined them all and the extent to which it allowed such communication completely blew Zaiya's mind. She hadn't been prepared for such an ability, let alone to be the recipient of it. She couldn't even follow the simple directions quickly enough to grab the white gun Braze mentioned between the chaos unfolding between Domina Prime Domina Prime granting them passage and the unsettling nauseating sensation emanating from Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr . Zaiya struggled to keep up. There was a whirlwind of events unfolding too quickly for her to process.

Then, once again, her world spun, and she was abruptly picked up and tossed over Aris Noble Aris Noble 's shoulder without further ado. The action slightly winded her but also snapped her out of her reverie. Here she was again, colorful hair flopping over her head, blocking her view save for Aris's behind and long legs as he darted away into the jungle.

Oh, my stars! ARIS!

Despite her anxiety and fear about the situation, she couldn't help but feel aghast at being lugged around like a sack of potatoes. Not that she had any choice in the matter now.

"Wait! I needed the gun!" she cried out, suddenly recalling what she was supposed to do. Oh well, it's too late now.

So there were sith here and they are here now as well? That was just peachy. Ko was starting to deduce that this was a trap. What he wasn’t sure about however, was if they were counting on padawans showing up or someone else. Still though Ko wouldn’t put it past the Sith to try and attempt such a low blow. Kidnapping and child endangerment weren’t crimes that Ko believed the Sith were concerned with committing.

One of the Sith spoke to Dima, thanking her for ‘securing’ the padawans. Was he the one in charge of this whole operation? They spoke about an emperor as well. Ko wasn’t sure yet which faction these Sith were loyal too. Were they part of the new found Dark Empire? They were certainly close enough for that to be the case. But they spoke of Jutrand. Given their manner of speech, he seemed more like the pompous sith from that region.

But Ko had to bring his attention over to Dima again. Whom he was most concerned with. She was working for the Sith now? Perhaps she was more of a mercenary than he originally took her for. Sellout.

Things were getting harder to focus on as well with his fellow padawans here. Dima wanted Ko and Aris Noble Aris Noble to stay behind just to entertain her. Which wasn’t at all what Ko wanted for them. Forutantly Aris seemed to understand the danger they were in. Hearing the silver haird boy tell Kel Dor to stay alive allowed Ko to ease up a bit. A gentle ‘smirk’ forming under his mask as he sensed them dashing off with the others. “Nice work kid…” Ko muttered to himself.

Just then Dima began to engage him after putting on a bit of tunes to fight along to. Using some small droid as a floating boombox. Considering their first encounter, Ko was beginning to see that Lady Dima really was a fan of music. Her force deprived nature made her attacks a bit more difficult for him to anticipate. She appeared to the blind Kel Dor more like a xeno shaped black hole. Where Force Energy warped and contorted around her leaving her only as this black mass of danger. So even with The Force it was difficult for him to gauge her actions. With that talent alone it would probably be impossible for him to accomplish much of anything.

Forutantly for Ko though, he wasn’t just some one trick pony. He was pretty well rounded and in his capabilities. Plus he had naturally heightened reflexes as a Kel Dor and the power of hindsight to engage her. Ko was taking her seriously both out of respect and his own well being. Dima wasn’t the kind of person to insult her opponents by pulling her punches and neither should he.

He’d deftly dodge her incoming attacks. Her natural weaponry was too dangerous for him to risk tanking. Evasion the kind of defense he would rely on with her. When she kicked towards his face Ko moved his body and weapon in unison. Moving the flexible weapon round her leg and forcefully tug the appendage off to the side to off balance her some. Not wasting any time he would jump up to do a committed dropkick on her large body. Using a fair bit of power to shove her away from him and launch himself back about a dozen feet with a backflip just to create a bit of distance.

Time was of the essence here and he couldn’t waste a single second. Ko wanted to give his friends one more advantage here on top of preoccupying Dima. Once he was back on his feet Ko stomped down on the ground. Using The Force to create an explosion of growing flora from himself. He wasn’t putting any focus into trying to shape their growth. He was just trying to make the immediate terrain more treacherous and difficult for the Sith around to pursue his friends and have the grass and weeds coil and tangle around the feet of his enemies. Not to stop them in their tracks but to draw away their attention for even a second.

“Word of advice Sith!” Ko called out to the one who’d addressed Dima earlier. ( Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr ) “Manage your Force energy wisely, you wouldn’t wanna end up as lunch for the Vornskr.” Ko warned, knowing that the Force Sensitive beasts wouldn’t bother to distinguish Jedi or Sith from their favored prey. The nature loving Kel Dor wanted to use the environment to his advantage. Myrkr had many hazards for Force Sensitives. From beasts that would specifically hunt them down to others that could negate their use of The Force. Myrkr was a death trap for ignorant Force Adepts.

So on top of just trying to hassle the Sith with his plant surge, he was also seeing if it would lure hungry vornskr to their location. Perhaps Ko could even recruit them as unlikely allies, he was pretty good with animals afterall from his years in the agricultural corps.

Now he brought his attention solely back onto Dima. Now he would try and limit projecting the force beyond his own body. Taking a page out of Aris’s book, othersize he would simply telekinetically manhandle Dima and chuck her into the stratosphere. But he couldn’t do that, so would focus on enhancing all of his physical attributes to face her. Rushing the mandalorian xeno warrior with his San-Ni staff in hand to attack her. Swinging the flexible weapon with his own flurry of attacks to put her on the defensive for once as he tried to strike at her with unconventional and awkward angles of attack afforded to him by the unique weapon.

Braze noticed something else being shot down from the sky. He wondered who or what it was. Perhaps they had been followed, but it didn't make sense for the enemy to shoot down their own. Whoever it was, they were too far for Braze to reach, and he couldn't contact Grrwunhoooll Agaburry either.

"Domina, please, you are scaring the pada- lightborns. Thank you for securing the padawans, but from what I have heard, it seems this group are not all of them. We had such a... rich conversation upon Jutrand, I enjoyed the holocron you gave me.

The Lord of Red, at your service once again. If you would go look for the others, I will secure these in the name of our Emperor, make sure they are well cared for, and unharmed... and we can have another conversation once again.

You can have your battle, with whoever you desire, once we make sure the padawans are safe... from anyone who may wish to fight them when they are wounded and injured, unfair, as you would say.

I know you have little reason to trust me, Jedi, but I truly mean you no harm, I am only here, to fulfill my duty.
He squinted at Darth Malum of House Marr's masked visage, slowly distancing himself further. When Aris Noble picked him up, Braze shifted his gaze to Sol Lupercal.

"SOL RUN!"

Braze barked out to Sol Lupercal with a Force-bolstered voice, noticing his counterpart from detention frozen in place.

Braze could feel the fear emanating from his companions, sensing them, Sazo Vass had darted off and engaged in combat.

'Nouqai Veil is injured and heading towards the creek in that direction... She feels like she's running from something. I can sense Sazo Vass not too far away, engaged in battle with someone. I can't detect where Eloise Dinn is; she must be out of my range. We need to get a message out for backup, or none of us may make it,' Braze conveyed telepathically through teh force to what compannions he coudl reach that were open to him, hoping Raphael Gallustrade would also choose to flee.

It seemed the ship that had fallen was not going to respond. I heard nothing as I took evasive maneuvers to an extreme. Using all I could to stay in the sky, but low enough that the only way they could hit me was with direct fire. From what I could tell, this was in its entirety, an ambush. They meant to strike down the ship for whatever purpose. Its when a thought hit me. Could have this been the vessel that was taking a bunch of padawans on a training venture? No. It couldn't be. I thought that was next week? Shaking that thought from my head, I went back into action.

"Are-seven, take over. I need to do something. Keep us in the sky. Whatever you can do."

"Beep-boo"

The R7 unit began to take control of the Azure Sun. Taking moves and using chaff, to keep potential missiles from locking onto us. However, I sat in the cockpit. Closing my eyes. Centering my mind. Letting the pressures of the world fade away into just water. A formless shapeless state. Feeling the force. Having that washing over me as I reached out into the force. Searching with a fine-toothed comb. Finally, I found it. A number of pinpoints within the darkness. All ranging from Light, to dark. Some filled with malice, and others with fear, worry. There were Sith here. Or at least Dark Siders who were against the Alliance. I found the one that felt the most familiar to me. One who I knew could trust and had done things like this before.

"Braze..."

Silence for a moment. No sounds. I wasn't sure if my practice of this had net any worth. Instead of trying to just touch and reach out, I opted for something potentially a little more jarring. I was gonna smash into his head with my voice.

"BRAZE! SITREP!"

Gradually, a singular noise cut through the repetitive loop playing in his mind, reverberating within the echoing confines of his thoughts. Two simple words rose above the chaos: "Sol, run." Suddenly, the external clamor shattered the paralysis gripping his body, restoring his sense of motion.

With a swift pivot on his heels, Sol bolted in the direction his companions had gone, his voice echoing loudly as he shouted, "Now we know who shot us down!"

Status: Left shoulder Injured.
Objective: Searching for Padawan's ( Falentra Falentra )

Bursting into the forest, the world around me melds into a kalidoscope of colors and shapes. With each stride, the ground beneath me disappears in a swift blur, and the trees become a passing green streak. The air rushes past my face with a cool, exhilarating breeze, whipping through my hair and causing my adrenaline to surge.

I noticed my senses are heightened, every rustle of leaves, every chirp of a bird, and every crack of a twig beneath my feet reverberates through my being. I navigate through the labyrinth of trees with split-second decisions, weaving effortlessly between trunks and branches that seem to blur together in my peripheral vision. The ground came with its ups and downs beneath me, but my movements were fluid and precise, adapting to the terrain without hesitation and little effort. Each bounding spride feels weightless, propelled forward by the power of my muscles imbued with the Living Force. The briefest of glances to the dirt below revealing a blur of yellow, green and brown shades of color as I pass.

With a Blitz to the right I bounded to the direction of a river and then everything went black. Not litterally, but the connection to the Living Force seemed to be cut off. As if I ran myself into another dimension of sorts.
A invisible bubble that sapped me of everything that made me feel powerful and unique. With this new sensation also came an epiphany as well.

I was without the Force.
And travelling too fast!!!

What started as a preternatural sprint of almost unperceivable speeds, had transformed into disaster in the blink of an eye for the Wookiee Jedi Knight. Instead of hitting a wall like how Grrwunhoooll felt within, His physical body was suddenly unable to properly coordinate and was forced to a new center of gravity. In a display of what looked like exaggerated tumbles and falls. Grrwunhoooll's fur covered figure came to a gradual slow across a clearing of trees, through several bushes and into a rocky riverbank with a half crash, half dive into a shallow water. The inertia and mass of which, produced a splash of water that could of been mistaken for a boulder falling. For a minute of time the water began the process to settle from the waves caused and then were disturbed again when the Wookiee jerked his head out the water and proceeded to crawl on all fours to lay in the rocky bank adjacent to him.

A single golden eye glanced up at the trees and a curse of some sort was spat out. Never before had Grrwunhoooll experienced a sensation like that before and despite his studies of Ysalamiri creatures in the Jedi Libraries...He was not expecting it to be anything like this.

Moving through the trees, Sazo spotted her quarry below- a Kiffar man, slightly older then her. She cursed as the man spun around, pinning her dead to rights- but not pulling the trigger. Surging forward, the Korun sprung off the last branch, speeding towards the man, before flipping, to lead feet first, landing a solid blow that left the Bogan sprawling.

But while dazed, the Kiffar wasn't down and out, and soon he had regained his composure, and demanded Sazo's immediate surrender. She simply drew her vibroblade, and readied herself. She transitioned into an opening Ataru stance, and began circling him. She was a novice in the application of Form IV- any practitioner could immediately spot it- but it played to her strengths- natural speed, endurance, flexibility, before using the Force to enhance movements- and thus, gave her an edge.

And the man before her, truth be told, made her think she would need any edge she could get. The element of surprise was gone, and the Bogan seemed more annoyed then remotely concerned about the prospect of facing her in combat. Sazo cursed her foolhardiness; she should have told someone where she was going, rather then leap head-long into trouble. It would be on her to get out of it.

She bent her knees, as she felt the Force shift, and flow. "Hmm...now, as...tempting as Sith hospitality is", she began, tightening her grip on the saber.

"...I'm going to find myself have to pass on that, Bogan. Respectfully."

Sazo burst into motion, jumping back into the trees and bouncing around the canopies surrounding the Sith, speeding up with the Force, looking for another chance to strike.

666 could not believe her luck. Before her stood a teenage Padawan, armed with little more than fear and a lightsaber. For all intents and purposes, this particular circumstance was almost exactly what the Aetharian needed to pass the test that she had been given. All she needed to do was take the Padawan’s lightsaber and perhaps, her head as well.

In that regard, 666 considered this to be a blessing—a sign that she had the Eternal Father’s favor.

"W-who are you?" Nouqai asked. Not that she was curious in the slightest, but to buy herself sometime as she assessed the situation.

“I am His will made manifest. A weapon in the Arsenal of the Eternal Father.” 666 answered. The Aetharian smiled then, succumbing to a moment of pride as she began to advance upon her quarry. In turn, the Padawan flexed and curled her fingers—no doubt a pitiful, weak attempt at calling upon the Force. Naturally, the Aetharian disregarded it, a high-pitched, cackling giggle sounding from her lips after realizing that the gesture had not sent her flying backwards or lifted her body up into the air.

However, it was only just after 666 had written it off that the movement’s true intention was revealed.

666 saw the sphere of water just out of the corner of her right eye, a moment too late for her to move away from it. She attempted to do so anyway, only to find herself suddenly immersed as the water struck with a force that almost sent her reeling. However, the force behind the blow was less of a concern compared to the potential effects of the water itself. With her wet hair now clinging to her face, 666 gave a low growl upon realizing that the Padawan had effectively disabled a portion of her arsenal. With her body drenched as it was, the cybernetically-augmented assassin risked short-circuiting her implants or worse, electrocuting herself outright if she attempted to use her ElectroShock Projectors.

Worse yet, it suddenly dawned on 666 that the Padawan had outmaneuvered her, even if only in a minor fashion.

“You’ll suffer for that, Jedi.” 666 growled as she pushed strands of wet hair away her eyes. All the while, the Padawan was running away, but the Aetharian did not intend to allow her to get far. On cue, the assassin’s eyes lit up, before twinned beams of lancing CryoBan were projected from her gaze with a high-pitched whine, unleashed in a half-second burst that was intended to strike the sprinting Jedi in her lower legs in an effort to immobilize her.

“First, I’m going to freeze you.” 666 purred as she advanced on the Jedi. As if to punctuate her words, her eyes lit up once more, triggering another half-second discharge of twinned CryoBan beams, which were now aimed to strike the Jedi’s arms. “Then, I’m going to fry you.” She continued, before moving to place her boot on the side of the Padawan’s skull, intending to force it down in the sandy riverbank.

And suddenly, the palms of her hands spat out a foreboding flicker of flame, carrying an implicit threat.

Of course she declined, not that Trayze's recent blunder had aided in his intimidation. His nostrils flared as he steadied his heartbeat, the planet's aura being overwhelming to the Kiffar man as he assessed the situation.

Young woman, vibroblade, Ataru stance.

Breathe in, breathe out.

She's jumped into the trees, vibroblade in hand, hoping to rush him down - but she doesn't know that you don't bring a vibroblade to a gunfight. Taking a moment to steady his breathing, the Kiffar reached out with his mind's eye across the field, allowing the ebb and flow of the Force to billow towards him. Though on paper he was a mere acolyte, and yet to be apprenticed, he had faced Valery Noble and lived, this whelp of a Jedi was nothing. For he was versed in the art of striking from a distance, and the Force ebbed within his offhand, before delivering a sundering uppercut to her gut, aiming to send her flying and with deft grace, plink the weapon from her hand.

If this didn't establish the difference in capacity between the two of them, Trayze was more than happy to continue enlightening the youngling on why she should just stay down.

Zachariah Conway Zachariah Conway // Eloise Dinn Eloise Dinn

Revna observed the duo from her perch, her eyes narrowed in thought as she gauged whether or not to get involved. On one hand…this was a Jedi and she had come out here specifically to hunt down a Jedi. But on the other hand…Zachariah had come upon the prey first, and he seemed to know who this was and the small Sith woman wasn’t too sure about getting in between whatever was going on.

From what she could pick up, it seemed that they were related to one another. But…there seemed to be bad blood between the two of them, which didn’t come as a surprise to Revna, one had chosen to go to the Jedi afterall. The exchange between the two became rather heated, dissolving quickly as the young Jedi woman verbally lashed out against Zachariah, and the young Sith man reacted in kind.

Blades were soon ignited and a fight seemed imminent between the two of them. Revna could feel his growing anger from her perch, a cloud of darkness warping around him as it gathered in intensity. It brought a small smile to her face, and a glint of excitement danced in her eyes.

She was still torn on what to do. Technically, this was Zachariah’s fight, and Revna adhered to her own sense of honor and didn’t want to take his moment of glory from him. But... she supposed it wouldn’t hurt to at least ask him if he wanted a second. She would be more than happy to join him in the fray.

Revna reached out through the Force with her mind, connecting to his to whisper to him: -Would you like me to join you in your fight or stay out of this one?-

She would wait for his response; either she would get to use her new lightsaber she’d acquired…or she would move on to find other Jedi to hunt down.

Tch... it seemed once again, he had failed to account for her... eccentricities. Such had been a common enough mistake during their first encounter that he had truly hoped that he had learned enough to account for them this time. Unfortunately, once again, he had miscalculated, and any hope to negotiate her into a compliant...ish state was rapidly draining.

Between the dramatics, the theatrics, the up and down tones, and great monologuing either for her own benefit or the rest of them, he was able to sort through some information. She had seemingly decided her targets, the Kel Dor and the Noble, unsurprising, the only two had drawn their weapons. That would be more than enough to intrigue Domina Prime Domina Prime .

Unfortunately, it seemed he had drawn her attention too, attempting to maintain one's composure was a gargantuan task at the best of times facing the alien, yet when one of her claws, was trailing along his shoulder lazily.

Well suffice to say, he was glad he had his mask on, as he firmed his feet upon the ground, held himself stalwart, though feigning half of it at least, by his measure.

He stood silently, keeping one eye upon her, the other towards the padawans. If he could have encouraged them to flee, he would have, yet... with her multitude of eyes, she saw all, even with her attention upon him, pressing closer, he was sorely tempted to take a step back, she drooled through her words, knowing exactly what she wanted.

A fight.

One he at this moment, very much did not want.

Thankfully ever still, the padawans intrigued her more, as she turned back to face them.

A shiver rose up his spine, as her tail caressed his leg, there was much he could take away from her words, but he was still, quiet. One needed to be careful when speaking to the Emperor.

Who knew one would need to be so careful when speaking to a child?

Still, at least his theory was correct, she held no care for the other padawans... and indeed, by the looks of them, they were far from impressive. He could bring them under custody... and then... he would need to coordinate with Ali- Darth Strosius Darth Strosius and the others on distracting Domina for long enough to save the Kel Dor and Noble.

If they could survive long enough...

...It was a risk, it really was.

But the choice was between engaging Domina now, and letting them flee to be caught by Kainite forces... or at least keep them here, where Domina would play with them far before she would kill them.

The lesser of two evils, always, that most hated compromise.

Doing his utmost to ignore the... music, that began playing, along with the... dance... that Domina was performing, he gazed towards the Kel Dor, the one he very much pitied at this moment, as even with the Noble having been pointed out, it was him alone now that bore the alien's attention.

"Allow yourself to be played with, do not make her serious, buy yourself as much time as possible." He transmitted across to his mind, hoping that he would not return to a corpse.

As he turned to the Noble.

To be provided with a strange sight indeed. The white blade once pointed towards Domina was sheathed, seemingly with some sort of will or... magnetism, as it did so by itself. Of course, the Noble would prove that sheathing one's weapon during active combat would not be the strangest act he would commit to.

Malum's eyes widened behind the mask, as the child of Valery and Kahlil Noble simply told their companion... to stay alive? The best of luck?

He had been the one to draw his sabre, he had been the one who together with the Kel Dor had the best chance, to together defeat Domina.

Oh did they have a good chance? Not at all.

But to abandon your ally...

He had always known the Nobles did not live up to the name, had it confirmed as such upon Yavin... but for their child too...?

He remembered his lessons from so long ago, to withdraw, to retreat when the odds were so against you was an intelligent action.

But to do so while abandoning your allies when they needed you most? That was cowardice.

It was enough that he almost missed the... rather tall child in retrospect, lifting both Braze Braze and the young girl on his shoulders and leap away from them.

He really was fleeing.

Was this really the son of the man and woman who almost killed him on Yavin?

Strike 1.

He extended out his hands, hearing the Lovalla scream out something regarding a blaster, feeling the Force swirl around him, bending it, pulling it, until he pictured a great hand grasping around the retreating three, before enclosing the grip, attempting to snap the motion and momentum of the Noble's impossibly quick leap, as he pulled, rushing forward he needed to detain them quickly.

As he invisibly inky black tendrils shot out of him, his Consume Essence sprouting out like one of a cephalopod, attempting to latch onto all the life in this clearing, the Noble, Braze, the Lovalla, the Kel Dor, Domina, the Mirlian and the blaster wielding older Jedi. Already feeling the presence of the Mirlian fading into the underbrush, the voice of Braze being his... withdrawing anthem, as he felt a strange... something, exuding out of all three.

He needed to know where each of them were.

His wristcomm activated, "I have six padawans in my sight, in pursuit, not far from the crash, requesting assistance," He rapidly spoke, sending the message in the channel only accessible to those he trusted, Darth Strosius Darth Strosius , Trayze Tesar Trayze Tesar , Revna Revna , Zachariah Conway Zachariah Conway , and Commodore Helix Commodore Helix . Hoping, that they had not been caught somewhere else, that they could come to assist him immediately.

Before Domina's patience failed.

Unfortunately, not all could go to plan.

The Kel Dor's voice, that he imagined would have been reserved for the shouts and screams that came from fighting Domina, he found himself surprised, tilting his head, for the barest of moments, addressed to him. An explosion of earthen works appeared before him, sprouting in front of him seemingly out of nowhere.

Oh, for the first time, he truly hoped that Domina would show the padawan what happened when focus failed.

He advanced through the underbrush toward his query, taking the advice for what it was, returning the concealment to his person, as the sound of Vornskr howls broke through Domina's music.

Braze was the one to organize, that much Aris was certain of. What he wanted to support. Even in the bond now where he could hear the thoughts of the others he made sure to keep his own 'voice' as quiet as he could. They needed organization. The Sith weren't, from what he could tell. At least because of Dima at any rate. His only real hope was that with her there they'd find little actual help.

"Don't focus on it. We need t-"

He blinked as he felt his jump cut short. Pressure around him. He recognized what it was as he thudded back onto the ground. His momentum had been halted, but the sheer strength behind his jump wasn't something that could easily be overcome with a quick yank. He grimaced. While the Sith was arguing with Dima he'd hoped to have gotten away with the other two, but that didn't seem to be the case.

He leaned over, setting the both of them down as he pulled from his hip his lightsaber. The gears were churning in his head now. Escape through speed wasn't possible with the Sith here. They'd likely realized to some extent the strength he had, so that surprise was gone now. He really only had one other card now, and that wasn't something he truly thought he'd be able to use in a real fight.

We can't run from them. He can catch me.

When flight wasn't an option, all there was was fight. At least they weren't close to Dima now with how far he had jumped before being caught. He turned his head, searching for the Sith. They weren't there.

Stealth.

His eyes narrowed as he instead listened to their surroundings. The heartbeat of Braze. Of Zaiya. Both were nervous, as they should be, but it only steeled his determination as he kept his blade extinguished. He listened, he smelled. His senses were beyond what they should be, and even after what had happened on Tython his hearing was still far above what it should be. He was listening for it. Breathing, the crack of twigs or the rustle of leaves. Even the scent of the Sith would be enough for him to at least be prepared for what was likely to come next.

Vornskrs are coming. They hunt the Force. But that means there's Ysalimar here. Find one. It'll be our best bet to escape.

Just as quickly as Zaiya was transported into the air one way, she just as quickly felt herself go the opposite direction, if with less force. Set down on the ground after Aris landed, it was as if they went straight out of the frying pan into the fire.

< Vornskrs? What are vornskrs? Huh? Ysalam-what? > Unfortunately, Zaiya was not trained to keep her internal thoughts from bleeding everywhere in the connection Braze Braze had connected them with. Unfortunately, Anyone he connected with could hear the poor, confused, and terrified Lovalla from blasting her utter bewilderment at what was being requested. She knew communication was pivotal, but this was just overwhelming beyond anything she could ever comprehend. An array of greys flecked with yellow and dark orange hues whirled over her silver skin.

< How in star's sakes are they communicating like this??! Oh, no, can they hear what I'm thinking? Is this what Loomi Loomi mentioned about how they can hear each other's thoughts? Wh-- why is a pink saber floating over to me??>

Unable to do anything but grab it, Zaiya had just enough time to remember the warnings Aris Noble Aris Noble gave her when they initially met, and he went over how a saber works. Emitter facing outward, careful of the blade, and that there was a switch to turn it on and off. A pink sphere of light would bathe her face and slender figure, and she held the blade out as if she would a chef's knife -- extended out and away from her for fear of hurting not only herself but anyone else.

"W-what am I supposed to do with this?!" Zaiya yelped, unsure what to do.

Commodore Helix

Disintegrations done dirt cheap.
Helix stood, arms folded, waiting for any news. He could hear the sounds of conflict in the forest, but so far his troops had reported nothing. This fact unsettled him. He was the last to leave his position, finally deciding to lead his droids personally. It was true, unfortunately, that if you wanted something done right, you had to do it yourself.

"I have six padawans in my sight, in pursuit, not far from the crash, requesting assistance,"

He had linked up with one squad of the infantry droids combing the forest, right as he received the distress call from Lord Malum. "Stand by, we're on our way." He responded with a shake of his head. He doubted the Sith was in any danger from a half-dozen Jedi trainees, but he had seen trainees like that fight before. Even the most inexperienced Jedi were not to be underestimated, particularly in numbers.

Malum wasn't far away, or so the noises of combat would suggest. Helix could reach him in a matter of minutes. "Fan out." He said to his squad. "Ten meter spread. We'll try to box them in while he has their attention." They wordlessly obeyed, sweeping the trees with blaster rifles raised. He was quite sure most wouldn't be coming back, but in an ideal world they could surround the trainees. Well, worse than they already were surrounded. The forest itself was essentially one large enclosure now, and the noose tightened by the minute. There would be no leaving peacefully.

On the bright side, his other troops had been harvesting the Ysalamiri mostly undisturbed. Several dozen had been collected, placed on nutrient harnesses, and hauled back to the lander. It would probably be something of a noisy and smelly ride back, but the beasts were quite literally priceless for his purposes.

The droids and Helix spread out into a rough circle, laying in wait. "We see you." He informed Malum. "Is lethal force authorized, or do you still want them alive?" He figured he knew the answer, but it would be good to know before the shooting started, and it was too late. His droids didn't really do non-lethal capture, at least with their standard loadouts, but he'd try if that was the call.

Whoever this man in red was, he was weird. Sure the multiarmed mandalorian was weird, but this guy took the cake in a different way. Were he and the mandalorian allies or weren't they? Perhaps she was a wild card... Something kept warning him, however. The situation was strange. It was too perfect of a location. Even as the odd sith man tried to lash out at them with dark tentacles and he kept playing hopscotch, leaping over, jumping away ducking under.

The man reached out and grabbed Aris as he tried to run with Braze and Zaiya. They'd gotten farther than he'd expected admittedly, and he stood there a moment longer, watching Dima and Ko prepare to fight. Yet... something didn't make sense...

"Uh, Dima, right?" He asked, curiously. "Not that it's any of my business, but if you're really wanting a fight... why are you wanting to fight us, padawans, lightborn, whatever, considering that our training isn't, ya know, complete, when, at the very least, you've got a fully trained sith or darkborn, whatever?" The darkness circled around. Closing in now. They'd need to move. This forest was a death trap, in one way or another...

"Anyways, gotta get going." And with that he smiled, turning he ran into the brush. After getting a little bit of distance, though, he slowed down immediately. Moving much more quietly, and peering around. There was far more danger. He knew of vornskrs... hounds that hunted through the Force, though he didn't hear anything. Lowering himself a bit, he pressed against a tree trunk, silently removing his coat, then his lightsaber, and clipped it to his belt, before he wadded his coat up a bit and tossed it. Whatever the hell was out there... it posed a threat to them all.

"BRAZE! SITREP!"

Braze's consciousness flickered, his mind throbbing from the abrupt disconnection from the sprawling web of consciousness he had been attuned to. He possessed a unique affinity for forming bonds, especially with those he shared a deep connection with, or had physically touched. However, his attempt to articulate a response to Kaleleon Kaleleon 's request was swiftly shattered when an unseen force yanked him back toward their adversary.

He was set on his own two feet again thanks to Ari's gentle motion. He doubled down on his focus putting aside his negative emotiosn presently.

He felt the dark energy siphoning from them, the malevolent tendrils retreating as Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr employed elusive tactics, darting into the shadows after his strike.

But Braze was relentless. He honed in on the fading presence that had preyed on their fears moments ago. With a tenascious spirit, he pursued the waning aura of Malum, intent on establishing a link, to anchor and track the Sith as he attempted to make his force presence vanish into the darkness.

Braze had a keen sense of its essence, and the direction from which it had come, and where it had retreated. Braze's resolve hardened; he was set on tracing this malevolent force back to its source, to confront and bind to it. The moment Malum would try to engage in any further force abilities would be when Braze would lash out, and latch on to employ Resurgence 's Psychic Disruption at full force uppon Malum, intending to bombard the Sith with an incessantly repeating, grating melody, fluctuating in volume, and auditory panning from side to side, to torment Malum's psyche.

"Don't focus on it. We need t-"
We can't run from them. He can catch me.
Vornskrs are coming. They hunt the Force. But that means there's Ysalimar here. Find one. It'll be our best bet to escape.
Braze watched as Aris pulled his lightsaber from his hip and caught on to what he was suggesting.
In the chaos, weapons dislodged from their securements on Braze's person, seeking their masters' will.

Corsage , caught in midair, hummed to life. It's pinkened blade ignited, floating before Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti , beckoning her to grasp its handle. It was a moment of trial by fire; do or die, a test of survival.

Resurgence lent its support, its broad blade serving as a protective barrier for the group.

Sentry, activated and agile, darted around like a swift predator, ready to unleash ferocious attacks.
< Vornskrs? What are vornskrs? Huh? Ysalam-what? >

< How in star's sakes are they communicating like this??! Oh, no, can they hear what I'm thinking? Is this what @Loomi mentioned about how they can hear each other's thoughts? Wh-- why is a pink saber floating over to me??>

Zaiya's feedback echoed through their mental link, her emotions a tangled flux of concern and determination. Sensing her unrest, he focused, channeling his thoughts into a soothing emotional aura aimed at calming her. His mind, adept at navigating multiple threads of conversation, now prioritized imparting crucial information.

'Zaiya,' he began, his voice steady within the confines of their connection, 'keep an eye out for the small lizards. Catching one could save us; they generate force suppression bubbles, a natural deterrent against larger threats. As for your adversaries, remember: the sharp end is your ally. Engage it directly, but never handle the blade. The diamond inset in the middle? Press it, and you'll unleash a blaster shot.'

With Corsage secured in Zaiya's grip, Braze could now shift his focous to wield two blades through telekinesis, crafting an near impenetrable offense and defense around their beleaguered band. They were prepared to fight back, cornered but undaunted, against the looming threat.

'Zaiya, Aris stay close. Kaleleon Kaleleon is here. We defend our position and hold their attention as long as possible. We must wear them down and outlast.'
Braze initially imparted before directing his thoughts and study of Aris trying to gauge his intent.

'Aris,' the words flowed with a calm urgency, ' You need to be on point as our first line of defense. I'm about to conjure a wall of flame. It'll serve at illuminating what lurks in the darkness and signaling our position to our allies. It should help ward off the Vornskrs and discourage any unfriendly advances towards Zaiya. Should you need to join us, simply focus your intention on the spot you desire. I'll create an opening in the flames for safe passage. '

As Braze conveyed these sentiments to his friends to help keep them organized he shifted to drawing forth a burst of heat as a fiery barricade erupted into existence, encircling Zaiya and himself. The inferno illuminated the forest floor, crafting a heated fortress that revealed approaching foes, and deterred the local fauna. This blazing signal beacon was unmistakable, marking their stand in the dense woodland jungles as the flames licked to life climbing higher.

Reaching out to Kaleleon Kaleleon through the force, Braze finally reported their dire situation:

'Established a bright firewall perimeter at my current location. Allies dispersed, facing a coordinated Sith assault utilizing comms for coordination. They've jammed our signals, hunting us with precision. Objective: capture or kill? Undetermined. Our ship is incapacitated. Engaing the enemy at this time with civillian present; Please hurry. '

This message, sent amidst the heat of battle and the glowing heat of the firewall, highlighted their desperate stand against an encroaching darkness, and the un deterred resilience and defiance in the face of overwhelming odds their team was facing.

Braze, having spent countless hours, verging on the obsessive, towards honing his skills—a regimen so intense that even seasoned Jedi might balk at its rigor, was now on full display —culminating into his current display of skill and use of the Force, standing as his final defense against the mounting threat. Despite his injuries, this spark of resistance was the kindling to fule his vehement refusal to yield, aiming to hold the ground long enough for backup to be summoned and to arrive.
