Powerful Force Connection: Seeing how this is the X-Wing owned by Luke Skywalker himself, one of the most powerful and influential Jedi in the Galaxy. The ship has been bathed in his psychic energy and has a lot of it left over. Now it's not a nexus or anything someone can physically pull energy out of, it can be used to focus and feel as if you were experiencing those powerful moments throughout this ship's history first hand.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths:
Throwing Weight: It's Luke Karking Skywalker's X-Wing, if there wasn't a bigger bargaining chip or prize to be won we wouldn't know what it is. So it's safe to assume this ship carries a lot of weight with it in terms of what you can do with it outside of a battlefield.
Does The Job: It's a good ship, the Incom Corporation really knows how to put together a solid fighter and this one can hold its own even in our advanced Galaxy with some skill and finesse.
Weaknesses:
Archaic: While the ship can hold its own against other fighters in the Galaxy it is nowhere near as powerful as other fighters in our modern age. When it comes to stat to stat in comparison the ship is normally out ranked by most fighters meaning that it comes down to raw skill in the cockpit.
Astromech: A decent flaw in most X-Wings and ships of that time is that it needs an astromech for its navigation system. That means if anything were to happen your droid you are left to ponder the complexities of hyperspace travel and calculations in your head while presumably in combat, and unless you are a Givin who does math for fun we highly doubt you are going anywhere.
Description
We are unable to confirm if AA-589 is the X-Wing used to destroy the first Death Star, we are aware that the Jedi Master Luke Skywalker flew numerous X-Wings before settling on one with this call sign. We would like to assume that this is the X-Wing used but we can not say with complete certainty. Although what we know is that this X-Wing was used quite frequently by the Jedi Master throughout the Thrawn campaigns to help face off against the Grand Admiral himself. It's a piece of galactic history and is great for any collector or star fighter enthusiast.
Strengths. While not overly powerful and basic in nature, AA-589 is a well put together ship. It's still in great fighting condition and can move like no other, it does its job and it does it well. But that's not it's only strength. Positively soaked in the psychic energy of Luke Skywalker himself, one could say that they could take a look through the past to see through the eyes of the man himself. This is of course only accessible if you are a force sensitive, if you aren't then you primarily get a sense of courage and righteousness flowing through your body. That comfort that you are in the right, though this feeling is only felt if you aren't evil or using the fighter for nefarious deeds.
Weaknesses. We're gonna be honest, while we'd rather not see this fighter in the hands of a less experienced pilot, we need to warn you. There have been zero upgrades to this X-Wing and compared to the modern ones produced by Incom this is fairly archaic in nature. It still requires an astromech as a navigation system and comes with what we consider to be the bare minimum of systems. So unless you are a starfighter ace we really don't recommend you using this fighter to go out and actively participate in combat. Though its your money so do whatever, you've been warned is all.
Summary. What can be considered to be the most famous person in the history of the Galaxy, and one of its greatest saviors, the X-Wing of Luke Skywalker is a very important piece of galactic history. So if you're into star fighters, do gooding, or just a collector than this ship is for you.
