  • There Goes Pole Position - Due to a lack of the necessary gearing, the Regina Fair is quite frankly, terrible off the line, meaning that it is important to put the bike on the front row in qualifying. Even then, the Regina Fair might still suffer.
  • Night in the Garage - Setup modules require a night in the garage to switch out. Full module refits can not be done during a pit stop or even during an extended period of race suspension.

STRENGTHS
  • Lethal Focus - The FAE/I-08 has multiple use cases for combat. A soldier dual-wielding blaster pistols could aim and fire both weapons at two separate targets at once. A pilot could navigate her speeder bike through a constantly shifting obstacle course, while simultaneously bullseyeing a fast-moving, unpredictable target. In virtually all cases, a combatant equipped with the implant is able to keep up with the demands of combat far better than one without.
WEAKNESSES
  • Feverish Frenzy - Overuse of the FAE/I-08 at its higher settings can cause exhaustion in a subject. There is also a risk of the subject going into pyrexia due to excess metabolic heat.
  • Caloric Needs - Excessive, intensive use of the FAE/I-08 will inevitably increase caloric needs. Implantees may also need vitamin and nutrient supplements.
  • Hyper Focus - While the HyperFocus state allows for extremely efficient task execution, it is also risky, especially if the subject turns off the inbuilt safeties. In such a case, a user lacking willpower could very easily be sucked into a task, at which point the only way to pull them out of it is to incapacitate them (ideally non-lethally).
DESCRIPTION
The act of multitasking is impossible for most sentient species in the galaxy and is generally only the domain of droids. Rather, most species are rapid task-switchers, by performing individual actions in rapid succession. For select individuals who are willing to take on the risks and follow through on the demands, FAE/I-08 MultiFocus Implant is designed to remedy this by enabling true multitasking.

In essence, the implant works by adding more connections and linkages between regions of the brain, thereby removing certain impediments in mental processing. From here, the brain’s biochemistry is essentially rewired, enabling multitasking.

While this a powerful, life-changing capability, the implant is not without its associated risks and demands. Apart from the risks of pyrexia, caloric deficiency, and vitamin deficiency, perhaps the most frightening downside is the greatly increased risk of cybernetic psychosis. This danger alone is enough to turn away most individuals who would otherwise seek to install the implant for casual use. As such, the implant is generally only used by elite soldiers and assassins, combat pilots, data specialists, surgeons, and other professionals in demanding fields. To mitigate this risk, users are generally advised to start out using the implant at lower settings (fewer tasks), before working their way to higher settings (more tasks). By doing so, the brain is progressively trained, until the user can use the implant at or near its maximum performance. In addition, advanced users will often turn off some or even all HyperFocus™ safeties, instead relying on willpower and mental strength alone.

Of particular note, unlike the AJ^6 cyborg construct, the implant is inconspicuous and does not manifest any external markers.

All in all, while the FAE/I-08 MultiFocus Implant is easy to produce, in practice, its usage is generally restricted to those with the most to gain and the most to lose.

  • Liquid Armor - The Apsara's sleek appearance belies its robust capacity for defending the wearer against kinetic weaponry. The combination of light gammaplast plating and a shear thickening fluid layer makes the bodysuit very effective in mitigating kinetic force and penetration, affording the wearer a good degree of protection against slugthrowers and other kinetic weaponry.
  • Augmented Assault - Achieved via energized and reactive polymer materials incorporated into the body glove, the armor will greatly enhance the wearer's speed, strength, and athleticism, allowing the operator to wield heavier weapons with decreased encumbrance and to grapple stronger enemies.
  • Scream of Defiance - The Apsara's integrated sound dampening overlay affords the armor a good ability to dampen incoming fire from most types of sonic weaponry, thereby protecting the wearer and her internal organs from the deleterious effects of these assaults.
  • Storm Dancer - A fairly robust design, the Apsara is hardened against Ion/EMP-based assaults to an extent, allowing it to be fairly reliable under conditions of interference which would otherwise disable much of the armor's electronics.
WEAKNESSES
  • Mechanical Mutation - Given the degree of advanced technology and automation implemented into the armor, the Apsara is quite vulnerable to malicious influence from a skilled practitioner of Mechu-Deru, provided that they have a clear line of sight to the suit.
  • Bone Chill - The Apsara's performance in defending the wearer from weaponized cold leaves much to be desired. While its protection is better than nothing, the wearer is better off depending on an external system to defend against this class of weapon. However, the armor's protection is sufficient to protect the wearer from arctic environments the likes of Hoth and Ilum, owing to the fact that the cold in these biomes is significantly less concentrated than that of the conditions generated by CryoBan or similar cryonic weaponry.
  • Passive Reception Array - The network of passive sensors integrated into the surface of the armor and helmet will naturally lose effectiveness as they take damage, thereby degrading the wearer's awareness as they come under more fire by creating blind spots in the array of passive sensors. While the bodysuit is capable of protecting the wearer from energy weapons' fire to a very high degree, these types of weapons, in addition to flamethrowers, corrosives, and CryoBan projectors, are especially effective in destroying the network of surface-integrated passive sensors, due to their increased area of effect over slugthrowers and most bladed implements.
  • Brain Shock - The Apsara's neural interface system provides an avenue which can be exploited via EMP/Ion assaults and by practitioners of Mechu-Deru and mentalism. In essence, the neural interface system is a critical link to the wearer's neural system, leaving the possibility that EMP/Ion attacks could electrify her brain and/or cause her to pass out. In terms of Mechu-Deru and mentalism, the neural interface could be exploited as a direct gateway to the wearer's mind, which may leave her extremely vulnerable to psychic intrusion.
  • Tensor - While optimized to mitigate damage from most forms of energy-based assaults, tensor weapons are indeed the exception. In firing compressed tractor beam waves, they can bypass most of the armor's defenses and affect the wearer's body at a cellular level, with the potential to cause death.
  • Paddle Beams - While lethal only at close range, paddle beam weapons are nevertheless a vulnerability of the Apsara as its defenses are not optimized to protect against them. As such, these weapons can quite easily inflict disabling effects on the wearer upon being struck, effectively paralyzing them.
DESCRIPTION
The primary engine of any armed force, even in the modern era, infantry are the foundation of virtually all military maneuvers, even playing a factor in conflicts transpiring amidst spatial battlefields as Marines and ship boarders. As such, it was considered paramount to equip them with the best possible technology, of which armor was a key component. With the conception of the Siren Corps, which were established primarily to protect the Eternal Empress' rule in the face of certain threats, a primary armor system was needed to protect them. To that end, First United Astral Engineering designed and produced the FAE/A-04 "Apsara" Ultralight Combat Armor in its manufacturing facilities on the Scintilla and in Eternal Imperial space.

Incorporating a number of utility systems, including the Eleleth propulsion system and the Dream Sight electronics suite, the Apsara was designed as a lethal and versatile package for soldiers in the field. It is highly resistant to most conventional weapons, giving the wearer a reliable defense against most enemies and methods of attack. However, it is vulnerable to CryoBan, tensor, and paddle beam weaponry, in addition to having relatively vulnerable sensors.

Nevertheless, in spite of these drawbacks, it is hoped that the armor proves to be worth the investment put into its design.

STRENGTHS

WEAKNESSES
  • Mechu-deru - Like any piece of technology, the FAE/EMW-04 is susceptible to Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. If left unprotected, a talented practitioner of such esoteric sorceries could induce a failure that might compromise the weapon entirely or demand precious time to fix, leaving the user vulnerable.
  • Physical Weapon - Since the process of launching an energy disc necessitates a physical motion, the plasma chakram projector does not release energy discs nearly as fast as a typical blaster releases bolts. Most users can only manage to release a single disc per second, while especially skilled ones might be able to manage two. By comparison, a typical blaster is able to fire several bolts per second with far greater efficiency.
  • Fortune Teller - In the event of a misaligned prismatic crystal, projecting an energy disc risks an explosive outcome, likely ending with the weapon going off in the wielder’s hand to potentially catastrophic effect should they attempt to use it in spite of the damage.
DESCRIPTION
Representing a new class of weapon, the FAE/EMW-01 Plasma Chakram Projector is an energy-matter weapon that projects hyper-ionized particle (or stun) discs (plasma chakrams). Typically integrated into a glove, gauntlet, or cybernetic hand, the weapon operates when the user first manifests an energy disc that hovers just over the palm of their hand, held in place by a magnetic field. This is typically done by pressing a trigger, giving a mental command, or executing the necessary input through a different type of control system. When the user executes a throwing motion, the field collapses, at which point the momentum and force from the throw is imparted on the energized disc, thereby launching it towards a given target. In essence, the plasma chakram projector is to the chakram as the energy bow is to the primitive longbow.

Upon impact, the disc explodes with a kinetic force of roughly 30 kilojoules, equivalent to the force of a high-grade anti-materiel caliber round. As such, even in the event that penetration fails, targets may be knocked back and concussive waves of overpressure (shockwaves) can carry through armor to possibly blow open body cavities and internal organs or devastate internal components. The plasma within the disc can transfer sufficient thermal energy to superheat an affected target at typical temperatures of nineteen-thousand degrees centigrade, giving a single energy disc the ability to blow a 0.5 meter wide section through a section of impervium plating. Through this superheating, the weapon manifests an extreme degree of potential lethality against flesh, organic armored carapace, scales, and skeletons, and armor plating constructed out of reinforced metal alloys the likes of titanium and duravlex. In this regard, the energy disc deals damage through combined energy, kinetic, and ionic/electromagnetic effects. Thus, the weapon is not only dangerous to conventional targets, but it is also effective against droids, energy shields, and electronics.

Naturally, the plasma chakram projector is an extremely skill-intensive weapon. Aiming it is not nearly as straightforward or easy as aiming a typical blaster rifle. It is more akin to throwing a typical metal chakram, albeit one with almost no air resistance, less weight, and a higher velocity. However, should a user become adept in the weapon, they may be able to throw the energy disc in an arc, allowing them to strike targets from unconventional angles.

All in all, the FAE/EMW-01 Plasma Chakram Projector represents a new style of energy-matter weapon. It is an elegant, graceful alternative to blasters that retains an extremely lethal character.

  • Jet Trooper - Owing to its jetpack, the armor is extremely mobile in the air (and in space). This makes it ideal for aerial assaults, hit-and-fade attacks, and yet more. For all intents and purposes, the armor’s speed allows QK-2510 to determine the pace of a fight or otherwise disengage at will.
  • Clouds of Deceit - The Taozin skin integrated into the construction of the armor has the capability to blur or cloud the senses of a Force wielder to varying degrees, potentially hindering the effectiveness of battle precognition, danger sense, and/or similar abilities against the wearer.
  • Corrupted Iron - The beskar taken from Mandalorian dead and reforged into the armor has excellent resistance to energy, kinetic force, and lightsabers.
  • Stealth Fighter - A suite of stealth systems keep QK-2510 (and her armor) off of sensors, while also making it very difficult for targeting systems to acquire a lock on her. Visual acquisition is impeded by the camouflage, which can make her blend in with the backdrop.
  • Reactive Force - Achieved via energized and reactive polymer materials incorporated into the body glove, the armor gives the wearer a fourfold strength enhancement. In addition, the neural interface allows the wearer to control virtually all of the armor's functions and attached subsystems with only a mental command, allowing QK-2510 to activate systems at the speed of thought, greatly improving her reaction speed in combat.
WEAKNESSES
  • Big Wings - The Adramelech jetpack has big wings and can severely limit mobility on the ground, even when the wings are folded.
  • Mechanical Mutation - Given the degree of advanced technology and automation implemented into the armor, it is quite vulnerable to malicious influence from a skilled practitioner of Mechu-deru, provided that they have a clear line of sight to the suit.
  • Tensor - While optimized to mitigate damage from most forms of energy-based assaults, tensor weapons are indeed the exception. In firing compressed tractor beam waves, they can bypass most of the armor’s defenses and affect the wearer’s body at a cellular level, with the potential to cause death.
  • Surface Damage - While the armor’s equipped Dream Sight possesses an extremely advanced surface-integrated passive reception array, any direct damage to the surface of the armor may diminish the effectiveness of the system due to the destruction of a number of passive micro-sensors. This can result in blind spots in the sensor sweep.
  • Weaponized Radiation - While the armor is capable of protecting its wearer from background radiation in the environment, it does a poor job in protecting its wearer from weaponized radiation, due to it being far more concentrated than radiation in an environment or a vacuum.
DESCRIPTION
After being issued her armor, QK-2510 was offered the chance to augment her armor with beskar drawn from looted stocks of the sacred Mandalorian metal stripped from the bodies of dead Mandalorians. She quickly took up the offer and in doing so she set to further modifying her armor for additional utility, performance, and protection. Much like the stock, unmodified variant, her armor is capable of withstanding (and protecting her) in virtually all environments, including the vacuum of space, icy fields, crushing subaquatic depths, and yet more. However, QK-2510 also modified her armor for improved robustness in conditions of high electromagnetic activity.

She also added a small suite of stealth systems to her armor, thereby making it very difficult for hostile targeting systems to lock onto her signature or for her to be registered on sensors. This was considered to be significant addition, as jet troopers were often exposed to heavy amounts of anti-air and lowering her profile to nigh-invisibility was considered to be the best defense against such attacks.

Aesthetically, her armor has the symbol of the dark side emblazoned on both pauldrons. In addition, she has notably foregone a kama, in order to save on weight.
