Maybe it'll inspire more FWC members to pair up and Explore new sections of the Unknown Regions.

I would like to see where this will lead us. Not all explorations need to be heading in uncharted regions either. There are isolated or limited accessible factions out there that the Exploratory missions can see about opening up dialogue with them. Maybe not as allies even, but say trade for starters. Everything has a beginning...no?
