News CORE EXAMINER FASHION ALERT: DEFYING GRAVITYI hope you have a legal team better than Lysander’s.- Corazona von Ascania
THE FAMILIAR
THE FIRST SCION
It was not meant to follow.
It was meant to survive.
Suspicion is its instinct.
Distance, its shield.
It tests all things.
It believes in none.
And still, it remains at her side.
Not claimed.
Not controlled.
But choosing her, all the same.
Loyalty...

Blood remembers what the mind cannot.
It coils in silence.
It watches through her eyes.
Not a gift.
Not a curse.
A continuation.
She does not call it.
It calls her.
And she listens.
The...
Alcohol warmed Mia, flowing through her veins in a way that stripped away inhibitions and made the problems of the galaxy seem far away. Her breath misted in the cool night as she slipped out of the wrecked wall of what had once been a bar under the Diarchy's reign.
Yaga Minor had folded under...

The noise of the CSL Trinity was gone now, replaced with the low mechanical groan of a transport still traveling through the dark, and Ace standing somewhere quiet enough that he could hear his own breathing again. He hated the quiet. Quiet left too much room.
He stood...

COMM-THREAD 32-2 | ENCRYPTION: 452304
TO: Sibylla Abrantes
FROM: Quinn Varanin
Sibylla,
I heard the news about your family. I'm sorry, truly.
I'm sure you've already received more condolences than you know what to do with, but still… take care of yourself. Don't let this consume you.
If I...
He hadn’t planned to stand there, watching the stars. But there he was anyway. Quiet. Still. Feeling small… and somehow part of something larger looking outward at the endless expanse of the night sky…
Also, Buster liked eating outside.
What he had just done, handing Conservator, the...
SON'UVA BISH
Ft. Kristyl Arenais
She stood at the foot of his bed…
No. This wasn’t his bed. Surrounded by the immaculate white walls of a medical ward, Balun Dashiell found the familiar hard mattress beneath him, which was bought out of necessity rather than built for long-term comfort...
Balun, who looked every part the Imperial Stormtrooper, clad in white plasteel armour that he had taken from a trooper who had crossed his path in the streets of Kor Vella, found himself nearing the district that held Imperial Captives within one of their facilities.
Already, he could sense the...

Bound. Enduring. Unbroken, but no longer whole.

Naboo
2200
The holofilm flickered to life with the polished crest of Theed News Network suspended in blue light before the anchor appeared against a softly glowing cityscape of Naboo at dusk.
"Good evening from Theed and Dee'ja Peak. We interrupt our scheduled programming with a developing...

Sitting in a large executive chair, a man rapidly withering by the sands of time, feeling their lifeforce being consumed by the wriggling mass of unnatural parasitation within him, looked at the holographic display of star charts in the space in front of the executive chair...
The Harbinger of Absolution hung in the vast gaps between systems, far away from any proper hyperlanes. Yet it was quite abuzz with activity all the same in spite of its current remote location. For once it was accompanied by a fleet, albeit only temporarily of course. These were no escort ships...
