Aelin’s eyes were not full of anger as she gazed upon the face of her elder sister, but love, perhaps foolish. It was out of that same love that she'd found the strength to rise after all they had lost as children. Where she found the courage to not lay down and die, but...
On the road to the North.
The camp had been devastated. Aelin attacked. Hundreds of lives lost. The smell of death still lingered, as they marched the way to North. It had been decided by the Alphas that they needed to head North, they needed to find a new place before the humans came back in...
Soundtrack: Redecorate
It started like it always does.
Boyish eyes full of luster and life, hands unmarred by time and war, and a heart unbroken by inconceivable pain. Airspeeders flew in unrealistic patterns overhead as he played in the park, running freely through the bright-green grass...

THE HARROWING
[ Some days after All Men Must Die, But We Are Not Men... ]
Børre watched as she slipped from her seat and sank to the floor, shaking, sobbing, begging, their discussion of the issue of her father - a wolf far beyond the point of no return - tumbling to its despondent and...
THE FEAR

There was blood on him. And for the most part, it wasn’t his. He swallowed the painful, helpless, enraging fact that her assailant’s hatred-fulled fixation might have been the only thing that enabled him to intercede at the moment the foul blade had carved into...
THE PAIN
fa-play fa-pause
“It hurts so much…” Aelin gasped, shaking fingers motioning towards the horrifying red gash spread open across a large portion of her chest, carved with the accuracy and skill of a practiced butcher; blood soaked into her shirt and pooled, coagulating around...

Brynjar was coated in a thin layer of sweat. His body was glistening and he was hard at work chopping firewood and construction pillars. The renovations to his ancestral home were slow going. Clan Threist moved from the halls centuries ago...
The Primordial Force
Nature is the basis of all life, of all death, of all change. Change which is expressed through evolution, through progression and development. This process is undeniable and unstoppable - no sentient should try to resist it.
But sentient life does not mean intelligent...

Cold sweat beaded on Tarus’ forehead, loosening the dried blood on his skin. He gave a hopeful yank against the chains that bound him to the dungeon walls, but just like every time before, they remained unbroken.
The piercing silence was marred only...
