Vera's grin widened as Colette pulled her into a tight hug, her chaotic energy flaring even brighter. She laughed as her sister ruffled her hair, quickly reaching up to fix it, though the effort was half-hearted at best. "Hey! My hair was perfect!" she teased with just a little pout.

"Alright, fine, I'll help," she added dramatically, pretending the log was an impossible weight as she bent low to grab it. "But only because I'm the best." With a playful grin, she hoisted the log up with surprising ease, her energy spilling over into every exaggerated movement.

She glanced over at Aadihr and grinned at his joke, her amber eyes lighting up with amusement. "It's nice to meet you too. And yeah, I heard about Mom's Padawan — glad to finally put a face… well, you know what I mean."

As they started hauling the log toward camp, Vera's eyes darted around, her curiosity as boundless as her energy. She spotted Roman, Thea, and Caelan nearby, their distinct Jedi presences standing out even amidst the forest's natural chaos. "Wow, there are so many Jedi here," she said, her voice a mix of awe and excitement.

Turning her attention back to Colette, Vera smirked. "So, are you gonna tell me what kind of trouble you've been causing out here, or do I have to guess?" She shot Aadihr a conspiratorial grin. "Colette can be real trouble, you know."

With a playful bounce in her step, Vera adjusted her grip on the log and added, "Let's get this thing to camp and then maybe check on the others?"

Thea waded into the water, the cool waves lapping against her calves as she ventured deeper. The sun glinted off the surface, painting the ripples in hues of gold and silver. Her sharp, calculating eyes swept across the horizon briefly, ensuring no surprises were lurking beneath the tranquil waters. Old habits die hard.

She kept an ear tuned to the distant chatter of the group gathered on the shore, incase they needed anything. Slowly, she let herself sink into the water, her hair fanning out like ink in the sea. She floated for a moment, staring up at the sky painted in soft pastels of late afternoon, her mind wandering to things she rarely allowed herself to dwell on.

As she aimlessly floated in the water, she felt herself bump into something that felt like another person. As she opened her eyes, she noticed she had bumped into Roman Vossari Roman Vossari .

"Apologies." Thea said. "I saw your jump and splash. Quite impressive."

"I know, I made it perfect!" Colette interjected between her gushing and Vera's complaint.

"See, she's really good at keeping you humble, but you also have to keep her humble." She added and nodded her head back and to the side towards the adorable little brat. "See, she's a seer, but that just means she knows when the hits are coming. Most of the time."

The log suddenly jolted just a little as Colette stepped over a rock to bonk just the slightest against her sister's temple. A small attack, the kind of things you would be unlikely to dream about given how inconsequential it is but noticeable enough to register as something done to you.

Colette grinned from side to side.

"Oh, I haven't caused too much trouble. I speak freely, things like that, but… No, I've been mostly good lately." She looked over at Aadihr. "What about you, Aadihr?"

"What have you been up to?"

Akiva reminded Resh greatly of Kashyyyk, with it's lush forested environment. Of course, when one's experiences were as limited as his, such connections were inevitably made. Except Akiva was somehow even more humid than Kashyyyk. The air was thick with moisture, but Resh supposed it still felt better than the thickness of smog that he was accustomed to in Coruscant's lower levels. Inanna didn't seem particularly perturbed by it; He recalled her species having originated from a jungle-world as well.

"Are you ready to go?"

Resh snapped back to attention, his upturned gaze dropping back to ground level, catching the retreating movement of the youngest Harth child. He hadn't really interacted with his mentor's family much, but they seemed a suitable bunch, if peculiar. His gaze then found Inanna, "Mhm." He hoisted his backpack on his shoulders, and dug his heels in the ground. "Um, what kind of animals live here, Master?" Resh asked as they began to walk. The initial trail was well-worn by fellow hikers, giving them a pre-made entryway into the thickets beyond.

"Oh, no trouble from Collette yet," Aadihr responded to Vera Noble Vera Noble as he walked, hearing the splash from behind as the force signature of Roman Vossari Roman Vossari joined a few of the other Padawan in the swimming hole, some of them new signatures; others, like Caelan Valoren Caelan Valoren he had only seen from a distance. His aura seemed heavy - Aadihr took note to introduce himself to and check on the young Lord later. For now, he hoped the liveliness of the pond would provide relief for all the apprentices (and Jack Wright Jack Wright ) and give them a chance to form fond memories while they were still in their youths (except Jack).

Colette Colette 's mention of Vera being a seer piqued his interest. "A seer? Precognitive? Destined to become a consular perhaps?" Aadihr asked, recalling some of his studies with a touch of nostalgia. "Foresight, Farsight, Force-Sight, they all sound so similar sometimes." Aadihr absently remarked.

"What about you, Aadihr?"
"What have you been up to?"

The Miraluka's emotions walled up suddenly, then gently released. Up until recently, he had been researching their father, Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble , out of paranoia, admittedly, and circumstance. Now that he felt he could trust the Shield of the Jedi implicitly, Aadihr felt retroactive guilty recalling his suspicions, particularly speaking to two of his children, who also exhibited reliable and honest auras, if perhaps mischevious.

"Mostly sticking my nose where it doesn't belong and not seeing what's always been directly in front of me. Occasionally teaching beginner's courses at the Veridian Jedi Academy or wherever else needs a substitute."

Aadihr shifted the firewood in his arms as they approached the camp.

" And keeping an eye out on recreational outings as a chaperone - so nothing special, really."

"Um, what kind of animals live here, Master?"

Inanna pulled out her datapad to look up the answer to his question. "Sommato birds, vengas, fenglas, ateles, jabareks..." she trailed off. "Lots of critters. We just need to find one or two of them for me to consider this assignment done."

Not long into their hike, a cerulean skycatcher soared overhead, alighting in the branches of a nearby tree. Seeing an opportunity to use her newfound animal-speaking abilities, Inanna craned her neck and tried to summon it to her hand. Unbeknownst to her, another creature was lurking in the foliage, creeping toward her Padawan. One far less benign than the pretty blue bird...

The chill of the water was invigorating, washing away any lingering tension. Roman grinned, feeling the adrenaline still coursing through him. He'd nailed that flip, a perfect arc ending in a spectacular splash. His gaze swept across the clearing, searching for the reaction he craved. He spotted Caelan, the young Padawan, who offered a bright smile and a wave. A surge of warmth filled Roman; it was good to be recognized. He returned the wave with a flourish, noting how much the boy had grown since they last saw each other, he kept growing it seemed..

Ready for another go, Roman began to wade backward, his eyes scanning the scene. Several Jedi were still enjoying the water, some lounging on the shore, and others were quietly tending to their gear. He was on a mission; that rope swing was calling his name. Oof. He bumped into something, or rather, someone. He turned quickly, a slight frown replacing his grin as he came face to face with someone he hadn't seen before.

Her striking features and those intense eyes, coupled with the intricate tattoos, made him momentarily pause. He recovered quickly, a sheepish grin returning to his face. "Don't worry about it… it was probably my fault." He stammered a bit, the unexpected encounter throwing off his stride. "I was… uh… just kind of floating." He stuck his hand out, a welcoming gesture, the water dripping from his fingertips. "Roman Vossari, Padawan." He introduced himself with a charming smile, the confidence from his dive returning. "Want to try out the rope swing?" He offered, gesturing towards his handiwork with a playful glint in his eyes.

Caelan nodded to Roman when the other padawan waved at him. It was good to be acknowledged. Plus Roman was a friend. They had a connection ever since they'd met on Tython. Of everyone he'd met, Roman was the only one that had stuck around long enough to actually be a friend, even though they weren't all that close just yet. Neither of them had really had a chance to sit down and talk with one another the way they probably should have over the months.

Since Roman seemed otherwise engaged, he and Fate made their way back towards the camp with the bundle of sticks that Caelan had in his arms. It was good kindling to get a fire started. Those who were swimming would appreciate a fire, and they'd all need one if they were going to cook something to eat. Hopefully some of those who were fishing actually had some success. He loved fish.

"Bwoo-dweep? Dwooo-beep bwoo-vrrt beep-dweep?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, that'd be great, Fate. Thanks," he said as he piled the bundle of sticks up within the rock cordoned area designated for a fire.

He made sure the sticks were stacked well enough that they wouldn't fall over, and then stepped back to allow Fate to zap it. Sometimes it really was handy to have a droid around. The whole controlling the elements thing wasn't in his wheelhouse, and not having to carry around a flint and steel all the time, or some other fire starter, was quite nice.

The sparks caught and he maneuvered a few leaves into the pile as quick start. Dry leaves, naturally. This way the fire wouldn't immediately die out and would have time to catch the sticks. Those should last long enough for someone who was gathering larger pieces of wood to arrive so that they could feed the fire with real chunks of wood that would keep it burning through the rest of the day and the night. He'd thought he'd seen someone carrying a log, which normally would have surprised him but given who they were, it didn't really.

"Well, at least the fire's started."

The momentary pause from Roman didn't go unnoticed by Thea, her mind already telling her its about her appearance. However, she pushed it to the side and extended her hand to shake his. "Thea Nyko, Knight. I wouldn't say its entirely your fault. I was aimlessly floating around too."

Her eyes shifted to the rope swing Roman gestured to, a tool Thea's never used before. Though she was intrigued to try it out, as they were out here to have fun and relax. "Is it as simple as hold on and let go over the water?"

As the lingering attention from the Jedi Knight, Padawan and their peers finally ebbed away, Serina's gaze found Lyra's, their shared understanding unspoken yet palpable. They moved away from the group, finding a secluded spot where the whispering leaves and the rustle of wildlife cloaked their conversation.

Lyra leaned in close, her voice low and urgent. "That was too close, Serina. We can't afford another slip like that."

Serina nodded, her expression somber yet resolute. "I know. It was careless, but it served as a reminder that we must tread more carefully. Our path is too important to be jeopardized by impulsiveness."

She glanced around, ensuring their privacy before continuing. "We can't let them see the depth of our plans, Lyra. The circle of ten must remain hidden, a shadow within the Order until we are ready. Our vision... it's not something they could ever understand. Not yet."

Lyra's eyes, green and sharp, reflected the gravity of their situation. "They speak of harmony and balance, but they fail to see the chains those ideals impose. Your vision, Serina, it's the key to breaking free from those chains."

Serina's lips curved into a slight, determined smile. "Yes, and each of us in the circle has a role to play. We've been chosen, not by fate but by the potential we hold—the potential to wield the Dark Side not as a curse, but as something we can control."

Her voice dropped to a whisper, as if the trees themselves might be listening. "We've seen what lies beyond the narrow path they've set before us. A path that is ours to forge, one that will lead us beyond the limits imposed by the Jedi and the Sith alike."

Lyra nodded, her resolve hardening. "What do we need to do next?"

"Continue our training, but more discreetly. Gather more knowledge, and keep the others in the circle prepared and vigilant. We move silently, gathering strength until the moment is right," Serina instructed, her eyes alight with a fire that spoke of deep-seated ambitions and calculated plans.

"And what of the Masters? They'll be watching you even more closely now," Lyra asked, a tinge of concern threading through her words.

Serina's response was cool and confident. "Let them watch. They'll see only what I choose to show them—a Padawan committed to her studies, nothing more. My ability to shield my true thoughts has kept my deeper intentions hidden thus far. They see a muted gray where there is, in truth, a storm waiting to break."

The two shared a look of mutual understanding, their bond strengthened by the secrets they carried. "We're on the brink of something monumental, Lyra. We'll reshape the galaxy, not through the light or dark, but through a new dawn that we command."

As they parted ways to rejoin the others, their steps were measured and their expressions schooled into neutrality. Beneath the calm surface, however, the undercurrents of their true intent surged with unrelenting force, propelling them toward a destiny of their own making.

However, little do they know how wrong they were, the dam would break and everything was soon destined to fall apart.

But that was for another time.

The light-hearted mirth of the young Jedi brought a gentle smile to the Knight, occupied himself with the 'pad retrieved of his backpack. Leaning back against bark, the lively atmosphere had Jack sigh with total relaxation, turning on the 'pad to get right to work.

Not actual work, more of a hobby... That's steadily becoming a growing passion. Index finger tapped away, hazel eyes regarding the surroundings of the swimming hope in admired muse.

A light miasma in an otherwise uneventful affair... No, that sounded too formal. Jack twitched a short frown, changing 'affair' to 'trip.'

Vera laughed as the log gently bonked her temple, the little attack enough to elicit an exaggerated gasp. "See? This is why I need to keep you in check," she teased, her grin wide as she adjusted her grip on the log. "Otherwise, you'd just bonk me to death with logs and call it 'keeping me humble.'"

She glanced at Aadihr when he mentioned her precognitive abilities, her grin softening into something more thoughtful. "A seer, yeah. I get these glimpses sometimes — little flashes of what might happen. It's not always clear, though, and definitely not always helpful." She smirked. "But it keeps things interesting."

In reality, she was downplaying the visions somewhat. At times, they were extremely vivid and accurate, and predicted events with almost frightening precision.

When Aadihr mentioned being a chaperone, Vera snorted softly, her amber eyes twinkling with mischief. "Chaperone, huh? That must be hard with certain types around here."

As they approached the camp, Vera's eyes darted around, taking in the lively scene. The warmth of the campfire and the sound of laughter and splashing from the swimming hole painted a perfect picture of camaraderie. "Looks like everyone's having a blast," she said, her voice tinged with excitement. "Maybe we should hurry up and drop this off so we can join the fun."

Resh should have figured he would not recognize any of the animals Inanna listed off by name. He could infer what a sommato bird was, everything else meant nothing to his ears. All the same, he was excited to discover them for himself.

After a short hike, the pair found their first critter: a bright blue bird flying overhead. Resh craned his head up to track the skycatcher studiously, forgetting the assignment until Inanna herself began trying to commune with the bird. His face scrunched up in focus as he tried to do the same. Between the two of them exerting their influence however, the bird seemed to be perplexed by indecision and conflicting communication. When the folige behind the Jedi rustled loudly, the skycatcher opted to listen to neither of them, and flew off instead. Resh spun around to face the source of the noise, but spotted nothing.

"Are any of the animals out here... dangerous?" He asked.

Colette dropped the log and stretched her shoulders.

"Eh, you do that if you want." Colette said and reached into her bag to withdraw a foldable saw. "I should trim this down into logs and tinder."

The saw unfolded with a practiced ease as Colette began to assess the logs-to-be. She prodded them with the tool. Sturdy, but clearly a little too bendy. Deadwood.

"I've only been to Veridia once." She said and put her hand on her hip. Her head turned to look at Aadihr and Vera with a smirk. "Talked to a bunch of dragons with Braze."

"Awesome creatures."

Roman grinned at Thea, pleased that she seemed intrigued by the rope swing. The idea of showing her how it was done, of sharing that sense of exhilaration, sent a thrill through him. "Of course! Super simple, come on!" he said, his voice laced with enthusiasm. He waded out of the water and then swiftly scrambled up the short cliff to the tree.

He grabbed the thick rope, feeling the familiar texture in his hands. Pulling it back, he showed her how far he usually went, his eyes sparkling with a playful glint. "I like to give myself a little force boost to go a bit higher," he admitted, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "But whatever you are comfortable with..." he quickly added, wanting to make sure she didn't feel pressured. With a quick look to make sure she was watching, Roman took a breath and launched himself into the air, the rope singing as it swung in an arc.

He tucked his body into a cannonball, hitting the water with a satisfying splash that sent droplets flying. Surfacing, he pushed his wet hair back from his forehead, his eyes alight with excitement. He looked back up to the cliff, his grin widening, "Give it a go!" he called out, his voice ringing with encouragement. His confidence was infectious, his energy undeniable.

As he treaded water, his gaze swept across the clearing again. Noticing another Jedi lingering near the edge of the water, he waved him over with a broad, beckoning gesture. The more the merrier, he figured. "Hey! You wanna try this?" he yelled, hoping to draw him into the fun. This was what it was all about, camaraderie and shared thrills. He couldn't wait to see Thea and maybe even the other Jedi take the plunge.

"Hey, I saw it first," Inanna whined, giving Resh a playful pout as the two ended up accidentally confusing the poor bird with their conflicting commands. She was about to let him have it when a sudden rustling noise behind them startled the skycatcher into flight. Turning toward the bushes, her golden eyes scanned the foliage, but saw nothing amiss. Nor could she sense any other presence, though that was no surprise to anyone who knew of her shortcomings.

"Are any of the animals out here... dangerous?"

"I don't think so," she replied. "None of them really jumped out at me as being particularly threatening." she hadn't gone into that much detail scanning a handful of articles on the Holonet. "Then again, nothing quite compares to the critters we had to deal with on Lao-mon. Imagine growing up on a planet where every other life form wants to eat you."

Still, that rustling had her curious. She crouched down, raising a hand to part the foliage and get a better look at what was lurking inside—

"Ow!" She jerked her arm back, black blood welling up from a small but nasty looking cut in her finger. "Something bit me!" A small money-like shape darted out of the undergrowth and skittered up the trunk of the tree. While Inanna cursed and tended to her wound, she heard a distinct howl that sounded a little too much like gloating laughter at her expense.

Thea watched Roman with a smirk, her hands on her hips as she observed his antics. She couldn't deny the little thrill she felt watching him. The way he had soared through the air, free and confident, sparked something in her. "Alright, alright."

Grasping the rope, she gave it an experimental tug, testing its strength.
"Force boost, huh?" she muttered, glancing down at Roman with a mischievous glint in her eyes. Her fingers flexed on the rope as she sized up the distance, calculating her swing.

Taking a deep breath, Thea let her instincts take over. She pushed off the edge, her grip firm as the rope carried her out over the water. The wind rushed past her face, exhilarating and wild. At the apex of the swing, she released, twisting her body. One backflip, then another, and another—a perfect triple. She then straightened her form into a sleek dive, slicing through the water.

Thea surfaced a moment later, flipping her wet hair back with a triumphant grin.
"How was that?"

Like gentle raindrops, the Force's every touch from drop to ground would leave the smallest boom with the hardest- Hm?

Perking up by a Padawan's addressal, Jack watched in time for said apprentice's friend making an impressive dive, her body swerved with elegance prior into impact with the hole's surface. Jack smiled gently, lowering the datapad and lightly applauded, nodding in approval.

"Not bad." He called out, turning back to the fellow male who first called out to him, smile shifting to a wide smirk, the young Knight shook his head. "No, thank you. Water and I don't really agree."

Mandatory training classes for swimming at Jedi school, aside.

Roman's jaw dropped as he watched Thea take to the rope swing. It was one thing for him to launch himself into the air with a bit of clumsy enthusiasm, but Thea moved with a grace that was almost breathtaking. He'd expected a slightly hesitant first try, maybe even a splashy, less-than-elegant entry into the water. Instead, she'd essentially performed a series of aerial acrobatics before slicing into the water like a streamlined dart.

He glanced around quickly, a sheepish grin forming on his face. He was sure the other Jedi had seen it. She had absolutely shown him up, and surprisingly, Roman found he didn't mind too much, it was impressive! He waved his hand dismissively at the distant Jedi, deciding that if he was not interested in the fun, then so be it.

As Thea swam closer, Roman's grin widened, genuine admiration shining in his eyes. "That was phenomenal! Seriously, for a first-timer, you absolutely nailed it!" he exclaimed, pushing a stray strand of wet hair out of his face. He wasn't just being polite; her control and skill were leagues beyond his own.

Taking another look at her, Roman's curiosity won over. "If you don't mind me asking..." he began, pointing to his own face, mimicking the way her tattoos adorned her features, "I've never seen markings like that." He didn't phrase it as a question, but the implication was clear. He was genuinely intrigued and wanted to know more about them, even if it was an ignorant question.

Thea surfaced, brushing water from her face and coughing up a little water, the droplets glistening on her skin as she took a moment to catch her breath. She smirked faintly at Roman's enthusiasm, her lips quirking upward in a way that suggested amusement. "Well, thanks for the compliment. Not bad for someone who didn't grow up around bodies of water to swim in, huh?"

As Roman gestured to his face, mimicking the shapes of her tattoos with his fingers, her expression shifted. Thea's smirk faltered, replaced by a fleeting look of guardedness. Her shoulders stiffened slightly, as though she were bracing for a blow that hadn't yet landed.

"They are tattoos common amongst my people," she explained, her voice steady but softer now, more deliberate. "I am from Dathomir." She paused, watching Roman carefully, her piercing gaze assessing his reaction. It was the kind of watchfulness born from a lifetime of knowing that her heritage was often met with misunderstanding—or worse.

Due to the shift in her tone, she was sure Roman would notice it, so she further explained.
"Most of the galaxy doesn't think kindly of my kind. We're remembered for the worst of us. For the Nightsisters and their magic. But that's not all we are."
