A Credit Saved, is a Credit Earned

Jed wasn't worried yet, those droids despite being his only reliance were well thought up to be. But when he realized the pirates were also entering in the other area he got nervous.


"Captain close all blast doors, make them have to cut their way in. And have them trapped with my commandos."

"Ok then."

The V2's sensors were very sensitive, the moment the pirates entered they would let loose a barrage of fire from both their e-5s and wristblasters. Then they would advance to the other parts of the ship to finish off the rest. Their programing was solid and almost unslicable, so if the pirates thought they could change sides, they thought wrong.

[Tiali Orazio]

Tiali's armor is Scout armor, but in some places rustic. There were still cuts, scrapes and dents from when it was used. It was never polished, but kept a glass like look about it. His forearms have well kept Vibroblade's, both legs have LL-30 Blaster pistols on them his belt carry an assortment of grenades along with a wrist mounted sonic pistol.

The laser cutting was complete as he got the message From Cadan "Yeah, yeah." he replies through his helmet com.

Tiali Grabs handle Either side to him and places one foot on another, his other Leg raises and slams down on the cut piece of hull forcing it to drop to the ships floor.

Grabbing Two thermal detenators He throws them down To clear the entering zone. Shortly after the blasts he lets go of the handles allowing himself to fall onto the ships floor. Looking around to see burn marks and parts lieing about, along with some droids moving in on his position down the corridor.

"Time to start the party."

Kay kept behind her body guard, using his body as a shield. As Jed had commanded, the blast shields went down and she could hear them slide from the walls and lock into place. That'll provide them a little time at least.

The sounds of the thermal detonators exploding and Commando droids shooting gave them a sense of what firepower the pirates were brining to the table. With communications down they couldn't call for help. Kay brought her blaster out from her satchel and held it close, her finger resting on the trigger. The Jackals were coming. And depending on their numbers, they may or may not be stopped.

Kay looked to Jed. "Better get armed and ready. Do you have an escape pod that we could use as a decoy? It'll send some of them to follow, leaving us with fewer to deal with." She hadn't run into the Jackals before, so she didn't know how they operate.

 

[Thraxis]

Thraxis would try his best to keep the rabble under control, though unfortunately the gruff lot were not as tame as he had predicted, it only took moments for them to start charging through the docking bay, firing wildly as they charged through the door, curses thrown everywhere as they clawed there way to be at the front lines to kill the most.

Thraxis stood back, watching as they ran like hungry hounds to their kill, though it didn't take long before he heard their screams, they were not very well equipped carrying cheap blasters or at the very least some sort of lead pipe. "Ah... the joys of youth." Thraxis would sigh, as he watched as they scrambled towards the droids. In this battle he had no care for the quality, this was simply a purging, killing off the weak and the stupid.

It took a solid few minutes before he heard the survivors sighs off relief, as he had sat back watching them slaughter themselves he lost at least a quarter of the men that he came with, though in the end this was nothing more than a battle of quantity over quality.

[Cadan Tazi]

Cadan wiped away the small splatter of blood from his chest plate. Those pirates sure bled alot, but at least they killed what Cadan thought was all of that squadron.

As he stepped out to enter the ship, the shot from a still living and very operational droid caught him in the right thigh. Luckily for him his armor caught the shot, but it reminded Cadan to send some pirates out before him. Cadan quickly jumped back into cover, letting lose a volley of fire from his gauss rifle as he did so.

Cadan looked to Thraxis once he was safetly in cover. "The pirates left one for you."

The sounds of the firefight soon quietened down as some of the pirates were killed by the droid Commandos. But then the droids themselves didn't do so well either.

Kay looked to her bodyguard and knew exactly what he was thinking; that she should've followed his request and brought more soldiers with her, and that with the escort vessels being sent off on a different course, it was like Jed had this planned all along. Maybe this was the meeting that he was referring to? Either way, they both didn't like it. She could hear the lecture coming from her boss now and had to make it a point to be more careful next time. That is if there is a next time...

 

[Jed Kerkov]

"What!? How did they manage- Never mind, I still have a plan. And it will work."

Jed was confused, how did they defeat the droids, he was unsure. But this next plan would either win the day, or slaughter a lot of pirates. Lady Kay had mentioned earlier something he wanted to correct,

"Miss Kay, we don't have any escorts. That freighter had less weapons than this. I wanted you to leave it there for just this reason. But I can get us out of here no worry."

He wasn't making her feel any better. How could it be safer to transport money on a freighter that had less protection than a Luxury yacht! Oh this young man really needed to learn a few things about the real world.

"Care to share what your plan is?" At least they had the blast doors, which could work unless the pirates decided to cut through the walls instead.

 

[Tiali Orazio]

Tiali lunging from his position he activates his jetpack flying down the corridor. Flicking out his right hand a blade slides from the top of his forearm.

Tiali grabs one of his LL-30 pistol's and begin to rapidly fire at the droids.

Jed had his plan. His droids shouldn't fail. Sure some of them had bit the dust already, but then from the sounds of it, so had some of the pirates at least.

Kay hooked her case onto the back of her escort's armour. It should be safe there. She needed both of her hands to be free. She adjusted her satchel so that it protected her back, leaving one hand free while the other held her blaster.

"Jed? I'm going to send out that escape pod, drawing some of them away from us, while you control things from the bridge. Tell your droids not to fire on us, please."

Kay tapped her escort on the shoulder and he led the way to another door to the bridge. There's always more than one door, just in case. More often than not it would lead to the Captain's briefing room, but also to another passage that would lead them to where they wanted to be. Or so she hoped.

Her escort entered the room first and made sure that it was clear before Kay entered, blaster at the ready. Quietly they moved across the room to the other door and listened for the sound of enemy fire on the other side. Hopefully the corridor would be empty.

 

[Thraxis]

Thraxis would look to the survivors, "Look at these men and women who have died here. They were weak, who else of you shall be weak?" Thraxis inquired, looking at the men who had survived the skirmish, their eyes were mixed, some showed their battle hardened nature, others showed the weak, the ones who did not know the joys of battle.
"Well then? What are you lot waiting for? Charge! Storm the rest of this place!" he demanded, looking at the hardened start to chant their own little chants, while those who were not as hardened were terrified at the prospect of death which surrounded them.

As they started to march, unison became more apparent amongst their ranks. As Thraxis started to march at the back he felt something tug at his shirt, he looked back to see one of the men who signed up, some Zealtros stood their, his face chiseled and attractive like others of his kin, his eyes spoke the terror that he was trying to hide, "Look, can I go back home? I... I didn't know what I was signing up to..." his voice quivered.
Thraxis took no time to waste on this loser, quickly snapping his gun out, aiming it at his kins head, "I'll send you back to Zealtros in a coffin." He spoke with no remorse in his voice, though Thraxis eyes showed fury.

[Tiali Orazio]

Tiali zooms past the battle droids his shots didn't really effect them or they missed. Deactivating his jetpack he brings his knees down and begins to slide on the floor.

Looking around for any cover he can find, he finds a door pannel Standing up quickly he jumps and stumbles to the panel almost falling, to close the door behind him. Raising his pistol Tiali shoots the pannel "That will hold them, I think." he says in a worried tone.

He knows he needs to move quickly "Cadan, I'll get the escape pods. Ensure no escape. How is everything there?" he says over the com. he begins to run in the direction of the escape pods. Every now and then checking a maintenance map to figure out where he is going, and ensure he is going the right direction.

No sounds of battle were heard. At least not on that side. Kay's guard opened the door and checked out the corridor. It all seemed clear. He signalled for her to follow. Both had their weapons at the ready as they moved on silent feet, Kay taking up the rear. There weren't many doors on this side, which could be a good thing.

Kay noticed a ventilation access panel as the moved through the corridor. She stopped her guard and had him help her open it. Then she unclipped the case from his back and hid it inside, quietly closing the panel once more.

As they continued on the soon rounded a corner and spotted Tiali as he rounded the corner on the other side. Weapons were raised as each of them were surprised to see the other. In the middle of the corridor, about 30 feet away from either of them stood the doorway to the escape pod launch room. Now it was a race to see who would get there first....

 

[Cadan Tazi]

Cadan sighed as he saw Thraxis pointing a gun at his kins head. "Don't blow the kids brains out Thraxis." He said as he began to walk out of the door way. The second wave of pirates had taken out the last droid.

"We are going to need droid bait." He shouted back. Cadan made his up to the front of the column of pirates and began to lead them. He looked around the ship. "Which way to the damned bridge?" He asked of no one inparticalur.

The party began to walk in the way they though best to be the way to the bridge. Hoping to not bump into any more droids.

[Thraxis]

Thraxis looked to [member="Cadan Tazi"], "Don't forget who the Third in command of the Jackals is.", he yelled to Cadan, he had gotten a tad fed up with everyone thinking that Cadan was in a higher state of authority to himself, quickly he looked at the Zealtron kin of his, he started to tremble in his boots, his eyes wide with terror.
"Fine then, I wont kill you, but your going on the front lines. A place I guarantee you will die." He spoke, pushing the boy through the crowd of men, the boys eyes showed terror as he walked through the men, only to be standing at the front, his face flooded with tears.

Thraxis looked to Cadan, unamused by his merciful act, though quickly turned back to look to the men, "Well? Keep going!" Thraxis demanded, watching as they quickly started their march of war through the Ship.

After coming around the corridor and noticing the two, Lady kay and her guard, the race was indeed on, "Oh kark!" Tiali would swiftly lunge forward activating his jet pack to get the escape pod main console first. But Lady kay's body guard had the same idea he would activate his jet pack racing for the console.

The two met in the middle, Tiali raising his LL-30 pistol started to fire at the guard, at that speed firing was alot harder only skimming the guards arm. Both closing in on the console they both landed, Tiali lands knee's bent, he raises his firearm to shoot at him again when the guard delivers a kick to Tiali's chest. Tiali falls to the ground dropping his pistol.

Quickly standing back up the guard's arm is up and ready his other hand sitting to the side of it, the guard activate the wrist mounted flame projector sending flames towards Tiali. Quickly thinking he raises his arm in an attempt to block as much as he can, the fire slides past his armor melting the plastoid and burning his shoulder, lower arm and half of his helmet. Grunting he swings his blade hitting the flame projector disabling it, swinging back up he hits the guard under the shoulder piecing the unarmored part of the armor.

The guard grunts in pain and grabs Tiali by the chest guard and slams him to the wall closest to them. Tiali remembering lady Kay down the corridor he lifts up his arm to fire his wrist mounted sonic pistol the wave of sonic flys towards her. In that moment the guard lifts up Tiali again throwing him to the floor. The guard kneels down and begins to repeating punch Tiali's helmet smashing the visor and cracking the helmet itself.

Tiali grabs the guard by the chest plate of his armor pulling him to the side making him slide on the floor. Breathing heavily they both stand back up Tiali quickly raising his hand fires another wave of sonic at the guard making him be pushed back quite far into a escape pod. while the guard is stunned by the sonic, Tiali reaches down to his belt he activates and throws a thermal detonator into the pod.

Tiali Runs to the main console as the guard stands back up and begins to lay fire upon the direction of the console with his wrist mounted blaster hitting Tiali in the hand and shoulder, Pressing the 'all launch button' on the console, the escape pods door close with the guard still inside, all the pods launching away it was only a matter of time before the guard went boom.

It wasn't often that she saw any of her guards in action and she couldn't help but watch the spectacle. The pirate was getting pummelled and it appeared certain that it wasn't going to end well for him.

But then Tiali fired his sonic pistol, it's shockwave sending her back against the wall. Her satchel was at her back, giving her a bit of a cushion to soften the blow, but not by much. Kay had a bad feeling about this fight. She quickly got to her feet and and ran back around the corner, stashing her blaster into her satchel as she looked for a place to hide. She should just head back to the bridge, but maybe she could catch one of the pirates instead. But that is if her guard lost.

As the fight continued nearby and out of sight, Kay reached the ventilation access panel where she had hidden her case. She didn't have to worry about being quiet at this moment as she pried open the panel and climbed inside backwards. It was a large enough crawlspace for her, but not quite big enough to turn around. At least she wasn't claustrophobic. She slid herself back and closed the panel again, before sliding further back in the ventilation shaft, allowing her to see through the vents.

Kay heard the explosion as the thermal detonator went off inside the escape pod. She brought out her blaster and aimed it in front of her. No doubt the winner of the fight would probably go by her direction and she needed to be ready, just in case.

After all the action he leans against the wall breathing heavily "I'm so glad that's over." he removes his smashed up helmet and drops it on the floor.

"Great I'm gonna need new armor." he says with an annoyed tone he begins to make his way down the corridor after a quick look around, he connects to Cadan with his com "All the escape pods have launched, I killed somebody but I lost the young bird I saw earlier I'll search around but I could use some help."

After that he takes a deep breath and begins to walk down the corridor not noticing Lady kay in the air vent. He rips off the melted plastoid shoulder pad not really needing it anymore, and begins to apply becta to the shoulder wound while walking through the corridor.

Thraxis heard the sound of sonic being unloaded, though the distance was great, he looked around to his men, seeing most of them unaware of what the noise was he realized that they were not as trained well trained as he originally thought.

"Well? What are you lot waiting for? I only know one man on this ship who would have a sonic pistol, and as far as I'm concerned he is one of the few people on this ship who we don't want dead, charge forward!" Thraxis demanded, he knew who it was on the ship, though he also knew very few reasons why he would need to use one of them. It was either taking prisoners, or some force users messing with The Jackals business... again.

Kay held her breath as she overheard Tiali speak about her fallen guard. She couldn't believe that he had died. At least he did so with honour. But that showed the danger that these pirates presented.

She kept still as he walked by. He seemed to be distracted with something. Carefully and quietly, after he was a little distance away, she opened the ventilation access panel and pulled herself out, keeping her eyes trained on Tialo, blaster still in one of her hands. Once she was through she closed the panel behind her, keeping the case hidden inside.

There were different ways that she could approach the situation. She could kill him, take him hostage, or try to befriend him. Given the hostilities, she voted for second option. Kay adjusted her satchel so that she could move easier and then silently approached the pirate from behind as he was distracted with his wound. She placed the blaster right against the base of his skull. "Don't move. I don't want to kill you like you did my....friend. But I will do what I have to." Of course she didn't want to kill him as she wasn't the sort to do so. But that didn't mean that she wouldn't shoot him elsewhere. Besides, she was a healer and could help him if she hurt him too much. That of course would be a last resort if needed.
