A Fame Detox... Through Kidnapping? (Cherry)

Crow

I brake for nobody.
"You're preaching to the wrong guy, y'know. I hated being under other people's thumbs so much, I snapped and nearly killed myself. And then I became a thief. So, please continue talking about responsibility. You don't sound insensitive at all."
Bek bit back the rest of what he was going to say. He put the bottle of soda in his mouth and didn't take it back out.

Cherry glared even harder at the window. INSENSITIVE?? She WASN'T insensitive! She wrote a song based on a girl she'd only ever read a piece of FANMAIL about, for God's sake! He didn't even know her! How can he say she's insensitive if he didn't even know her? And why did she give a FETH about what a kidnapper thought about her? She turned her head to glare out the passenger window just in time for Crow not to see the tears forming in her eyes.

Crow

The moment Bek saw Cherry turn away from him, he felt absolutely miserable. It looked like she was probably crying or something, but he couldn't bring himself to say anything to her. He just silently stared out at the sky through the windshield. Maybe he'd sounded mean, but the whole responsibility bit had been hitting all the wrong points. For a moment, he'd remembered that word coming out of his mother's mouth as an excuse for what she referred to as "pain tolerance training." He had a responsibility to make himself ignore pain.
The Crow shuddered, and then relaxed slightly as he began to see the little bits of trees and grassland that meant they were almost to the house. At least then, they could both get out of the car and get away from each other a bit.

((OOC: Midnight swimmin' :D))
Cherry managed to blink the tears back before they could make themselves obvious. Why was she even about to cry? So much for her nerves of steel. She watched the trees start appearing. Were they out in the country? She'd never been outside of a city before.
"How far out are we?"

"Crowmobile's a fast ride. Probably something like a four-hour drive in those armored speeders police love so much. Nothing down there's got a scanner signature, either. You'd literally have to be told where exactly it is, or look for it with your own eyes."
Bek looked very pleased with himself as he explained the nature of his house and his car to Cherry. He grinned like a madman, and his eyes were gleaming happily. The house came into clear view, and he pointed at it.
"There we are. Crow's Roost."
Yeah, he was pretty into the theme of being a black bird that steals shiny things. And he didn't care who knew it. As long as they couldn't, y'know, arrest him.
((See, now that has to happen. Dammit!))

((OOC: I iz evilz :[.... They also need some karaoke time))
Cherry sat up, looking out the windshield window with widened eyes. She'd never seen a country house before. They probably weren't all as nice as this one, though.
"How did you end up with a house like this?"
[member="Crow"]

Crow

I brake for nobody.
"I stooooooooooole it!"
Bek turned his grin on Cherry, now, wanting how long he could keep up this new joke. He'd literally bought the whole house from an underground contact, and had it set up by the man's personal slaves. Of course, he didn't like slavers, so he'd gone into a bit of a rage when he saw how that guy's were treated. But that had nothing to do with his current joke.
"I attached a claw to a freighter and carried it halfway across the planet over here."
[member="Cherry Ikon"]

"Riiiiiight. And I'm the queen of Zeltros."
Cherry replied sarcastically. No one can just steal a house. Let alone carry it across a planet with a freighter claw. She wasn't born yesterday.

"A musician and a queen... How wonderful for you, your highness."
You didn't have to know Bek all that well to hear the sarcasm dripping from his mouth. He shrugged at Cherry.
"You're right, though. Got a big-ish score one day and decided to get this built. And then I saw how the guy I hired treated his slaves and thrashed him. Stiffed him, too. So, I might as well have stolen it."
He grinned at her somewhat proudly as he landed the car behind the building.

Slaves? He hired a guy with slaves to make this place? Well, at least he didn't let the dude get away with it. But still... Cherry opened the car door, happy to see that it was finally unlocked.

Bek got out of the car, sighing happily as he saw the waves on the beach, and walked into the house before sticking his head back out the door to look at Cherry.
"You want anything, Berry Girl?"
[member="Cherry Ikon"]

Cherry followed Crow inside with her arms crossed.
"You really hate using people's names, don't you?"
She said. It didn't bother her, however. Her only other name was her first name said twice. At least Crow was trying to be original.

Crow

Bek shrugged as he watched Cherry walk into the house.
"Eh, if somebody actually calls me Bekker, I ignore them. It's either Bek, or Crow, or you suddenly find yourself not in a conversation anymore."
He walked over to the fridge and grinned as he saw that there was lots of sandwich-y stuff in there. He looked at Cherry.
"Food?"
[member="Cherry Ikon"]

"Well, it's not like I had any breakfast."
Cherry walked over to the fridge and stood beside him. The cool air made her remember that she was still in her nightgown. With a boy right beside her. A very cute (if not a criminal) boy, to be more precise. She blushed a little bit, blinking slightly. She then reached in and grabbed some bologna and mustard.

"And I broke into a penthouse a few floors above yours on an empty stomach. I'm starvin'."
Bek grabbed a bunch of ham, turkey slices, and smoked chicken, along with some pepper sauce. Grinning even wider, he put it all on the counter next to him, and then his mind went a tiny bit blank as he looked at Cherry.
Bek hadn't really noticed what Cherry was wearing before. Or even really looked at her. She'd managed to aggravate him so much that he hadn't seen how cute she was. He thanked whatever entity made celestial bodies that his skin was red enough to cover his blush. Then he had an idea.
"If you don't mind being dressed like a merc, I'm sure there's something that'd fit you in one of the closets over there. I'll make the food if you wanna go check."
[member="Cherry Ikon"]

Cherry eyes the meats that Crow had pulled out longingly. She sat her things down next to his.
"Alright then. Could you, um... Add all of the meats to my sandwich? With the mustard?"
This was not the diet plan Vor had planned out for her. But cherry was tired of eating the same meals everyday. It was time for actual food.

"Hungry, much, Berry Girl?"
Bek was teasing Cherry, but he smiled and nodded, grabbing the longest pieces of bread he could find and setting them on the counter. He wouldn't admit it to anybody, especially her, but in the last few hours he'd developed a tiny bit of concern for her. Like the friendly kind of concern. The kind where one friend inexplicably feels the need to make the other one food. He laid out the two sandwiches basically the same, put all sort of insanely spicy sauce on his, and put the mustard on hers, and leaned against the counter, smiling.
It'd been a while since he had any friends.

It wasn't hard to find the most inhabited room of the house. Cherry opened the first door she saw. Inside was a big bed, a big closet, a big bathroom, and a big mess. She raised her eyebrows. Okay. This was her first exposure to a mess that could actually be categorized as a mess. She braved the piles of dirty clothes, picking out a path to the closet. How did someone who didn't spend very much time here have SO MANY DIRTY CLOTHES???
The closet wasn't any better. She figured that the clean clothes were the ones hanging and not the ones covering the floor. She picked out a sweater that was much too large for her. It was pretty much a dress. There where some drawers in the closet as well. She dug in them until she found a pair of socks that could easily reach her thighs. She put on the makeshift outfit. It would have to do for now.
Cherry walked back into the kitchen with her nightgown folded in her arms.

Bek looked up as he heard Cherry, and blushed hard enough to turn a completely different shade of red. She looked... wow. Was that stuff from his closet? He decided to stick his head in the fridge. Oh, cool, he still had soda left. The hand that wasn't rummaging through the sodas to find a freezing-cold one pointed at her sandwich.
"The one on the right's yours. Didn't think you'd want the spicy stuff. Too strong for a lot of people."
[member="Cherry Ikon"]

Cherry sat down on one of the chairs at the counter, taking the sandwich Crow made for her.
"Thanks. You should really clean your room, by the way. Who knows what's living under all those clothes."
