))Cherry picked up the controller, and held it like a microphone as the game instructed. As the first song started, she laughed a little. Of course, it was one of her songs.

She didn't even have to read the words. She even did the dance routine that she always performed onstage.

Now, Bek had seen Cherry in concert before. Most people probably had, he figured. But seeing her dancing around and singing in his living room was something different. And, well... She was way cuter without the makeup and insane costumes she was in most of the time. When she was finished, he said something really intelligent like, "Bwuh?" Then he stood up and very slowly took the controller from her hands.
"That was... wow... Is that how you normally sound without your voice shifting?"

Cherry looked at Crow's expression as he took the controller. He looked like he was a little dumbstruck. Even though that was pretty much how people acted around her at autograph signings and public interviews, it was still surprising to see.
"When I'm not singing in other languages, you mean? Pretty much. I can make sound more natural though. It's the closest my vocal chords can ever get to what my real voice sounded like."
She sat down on the couch for his turn.

"Well... Is it weird if I say I like your voice better this way?"
Bek smiled as he slipped the controller into his collar, freeing up his hands for... air guitar? Okay, sure, it looked stupid, but there are some songs that need to be air guitared to. In the Pureblood's opinion, this was one of them.

He grinned and swung his nonexistent phantom instrument as he sang along.

Bek grinned and waved off Cherry's compliments.
"Well, first off, I'm not that good. Second of all, I'd get arrested the moment a talent scout found me."
He sat down next to her, still smiling.
"Sooooo... Anything catch your interest? Karaoke isn't exactly my thing, most of the time."

Cherry felt Crow's hand on her shoulder and tensed a little. Wait, why was she tensing? He was just doing it to reach the game. Maybe it was because she'd never been actually touched by a boy like this before. Her fans were kept at a safe distance ever since a girl managed to tackle her during a celebrity awards ceremony.
"S-so... How do you play it?"

It was going to be a little difficult to remember that. Cherry figured she'd try to anyway, though. She took a second controller and sat back down on the couch. As the menu came up, she was a little bit startled by the sudden gore she was seeing. Yep. This was definitely a boy's game. Not that gore bothered her, however.

Bek grinned as the game turned on and Cherry sat down next to him. He selected his character pretty fast. Just a dude with a sword. Simple enough. He looked at the red-haired singer happily.
"Aaaaanybody on the character list catch your interest?"
He didn't know that there was a character who looked like him, but if Cherry looked far enough, she'd find him.

Cherry looked at the people to choose from. Okay, the girls were so undressed that they were practically naked. One of them had a six-pack? Ew! She turned her attention to the male selection. In the very bottom corner, there was... Crow?! Wait... How did he get put into a game? Okay, so the guy didn't have red skin, but still. She chose that guy despite how it might look.
"I'm not very good at this. So give me a chance to get used to everything before you murder me."

Bek's brain short-circuited when he saw Cherry pick the character that looked exactly like him without red skin... "Songbird"... What the hell? And he attacked with something that looked like a microphone... Jeez, the irony... The Pureblood blushed a little as he looked at her.
"Unfortunately, my 'don't be a jackass' plan extends to games... Means I'll probably get you to beat me, even if it takes telekinetically moving your fingers for you. Or, y'know, non-telekinetically moving your fingers around."

Cherry glanced over at Crow. Were his cheeks a little darker than before?
"Oh... I don't know if I'll be that bad..."
The place they were going to fight in looked like a frozen castle of some kid. It was called "Everfrost". It would be pretty, if it weren't for the dead bodies littering the floor.
When a deep voice announced, "Round One. FIGHT!", Cherry hastily looked down at the buttons and thumbsticks. Okay, A to punch, B to duck...

... X to dodge, Y to block. Bek smiled as he saw the mini-version of himself punch a sword that was twice his size. Silly game developers and their overcompensation. He didn't make a counterattack. He just stood there blocking, and his health barely went down. Eventually, he made the swordsman jump away, to a different level of the castle.
"Heh, I love this game."

Cherry was just key-mashing. She didn't quite remember what attacks were with what button combinations, so she just decided to wing it. She had Songbird follow the sword guy up a level and continue attacking him.
"Once I figure out how to play it right, then I might start liking it, too..."

Bek laughed as Songbird followed his character up and hit him. Cherry was doing a pretty good job, considering she'd spent less than a half hour playing video games ever.
"Maybe. Some of these games are seriously addicting once you get into them."

"Really? Why?"
As Cherry spoke, something strange happened. She didn't know what she hit, but Songbird suddenly started doing something without her having to control him. The end of his microphone became a sharp-looking knife. He suddenly did an acrobatic flip, landing on the other side of Crow's character. He shoved the mic-knife through the guy's throat. He then screamed at the top of his lungs into the the mic part, and Crow's character's head exploded. Songbird then pressed a button on his mic-knife and jumped off of the platform, landing with half of his face in the screen. As he slipped on sunglasses, the map exploded behind him. The final shot was a smirk forming on Songbird's face.
"Mortality!"
Cherry was speechless for a moment.
"That..... WAS AWESOME!!! HOW DID I EVEN DO THAT???!!!"
