Ultimatum nodded to himself. The traps were set, the bodies were hidden, and now he had an entrance into the computer systems. He sent the commands out and his program began working through the systems. His mind looked through the computer programs. He perused through the files, looking for the proper area. He found the command center. He could enter that and then control the other systems, it wouldn't be difficult, but he would be noticed almost immediately. There wasn't much left in the mission though. The other option was to find the system itself and bypass security to take direct control. This wouldn't be noticed as quickly, it might even go unnoticed completely, however it would require more finesse and slightly more time.
He decided to go through the second option, it would require he pay attention to his programs so as to avoid the security watcher programs. He hoped that the guards wouldn't arrive for a bit. The nice thing about programs and computers, what complex and difficult tasks could be accomplished in seconds. With that in mind he closed of his visual receptors, leaving only his audio receptors, on high. Every bit of his thought processing was placed into the computer system.
He was just in time as his automated search found the radars main control. He then took manual control and led it through the grids. He checked the security, apparently a search was going to begin in a few moments. Moments, in computer time that is, that passed all too quickly. Ultimatum was only able to hide his program within the surrounding systems before the search passed through. The search was accomplished by the computer so it didn't worry itself over the fact that a few pieces of code, inconsequential, had been out of place. It was more concerned with the breach that could have occurred near the radio tower. When the search had passed, Ultimatum replaced the program and began searching for the signal controller, a small computer like device that filtered things like birds and predetermined people out of the signal signal. Ultimatum had figured that if he could simply place the ship as a large bird or a predetermined passerby that the system would simply remove the entire thing from its signal. This would be difficult with the fact that the computer would be searched every minute or so, that would mean that he would have to pick the timing of his command very carefully. He would also have to leave a diversion somewhere else so that the computer didn't see his adjustment as he assumed that the ship would take longer than a minute or so to leave the area. He was about to begin the adjustments when a search came through, he hid his program again, however the computer stayed a moment when it saw the misplaced codes. The computer was busy with the idea of a possible security breach elsewhere so it only stayed a moment, leaving a small note to itself to recheck that area again later. Ultimatum was able to continue his work and placed the necessary program adjustment into the device. Upon his command now the signal controller would be completely oblivious to their specific ship. Now he pulled out and set up the necessary entrance so that he could work without the danger of his being discovered when he sent the command. He then exited the system, if he were an organic he would have been sweating from the exertion and fear.
This had all occurred in the manner of ten seconds, which left him with plenty of time to complete his personal preparations. He put the blaster he had been using on the table behind him as the guards stepped into the room. They appeared to be quite bored, up until the moment when they realized there was a large, intimidating droid alone in the comm room. They raised their blasters and their leader yelled, "What are you doing here? Where is the crew?"
Ultimatum raised his hands and replied, "They told me they would be back in a moment, they all left for some caf I think."
The leader seemed to be uncertain, "Alright, go check the schedule, they shouldn't have gone anywhere for an hour or so."
Ultimatum put on his best helpful face as he said, "They might have left early due to something happening at the base?"
"There's nothing to make them leave, there is nothing out of the usual at the base." The leader replied as his men spread out and one stepped forward to the console. The man jumped back in surprise as he saw the droid's blaster. He fumbled with his rifle as he cried out in surprise.
Ultimatum was ready a moment ahead, he was already reaching for the blaster when the man yelled out. Ultimatum fired off two shots before clicking a button on the console. The man fell back and the other guards pulled up their rifles a moment too late. The button, normally connected to an intercom, had its wires broken and one set was leading to a small pool of reactive liquids, a compound that Ultimatum had mixed while he waited. The liquid didn't burn when electricity was pumped through it, but it smoked turning to a gas quickly. The smoke it let off was black and it was quick to accumulate, in almost five seconds the visibility within the room was near impossible. Ultimatum took two direct shots to the chest before he ducked behind what little cover he had. In the smoke he worked his way trying to get out of the room. The next thing he activated was the holo he had preset. It was an image of him and it was only just visible within the smoke, making it appear to be a target. Ultimatum heard three shots before the holo shorted out. The room was plunged into darkness, even though the smoke Ultimatum could tell that the lights had been turned off. It must have been the shots, burning through the light cords. It was convenient and very helpful, as now it was almost definitely going to be to dark to see for those organics. He was able to fire off another shot before rolling through the door. Just outside he flipped the switch that would normally control the rooms power source. It now activated the other gas he had prepared. It was another mixture that he had made from the the plastic. The gas cut off oxygen from the people inside, who suddenly found breathing difficult. It was only a minute before they were out, at least most of them were. One last man, the leader, was able to pull himself out of the gas, right to Ultimatum's feet. He didn't even have time to look up before Ultimatum shot him. He then walked back into the room and pulled the switch that would open all the vents and windows in the room. The men would live, all of them. He knew that there were some maintenance engineers as well, however they must have been working on the ground to check if there was something wrong there. Ultimatum could slip out before they reached the room and they would find the unconscious bodies of their detail.
Ultimatum quickly made his way down, avoiding the area the security cameras showed the engineers were in. While he left the compound he radioed in to Roberts. "Ultimatum, I have set up our escape route. I am coming back to the ship, it won't be long before the guards are found and people start sending messages again." He had sabotaged the comm tower, not too much damage but enough to slow any attempt to communicate via the tower. Now his processors identified any possible fatalities that may have occurred. He didn't see any deaths, though the overseer probably had a small incision on his foot now. That aside they were in good health.
