A Memorable Day

There wasn't much information on the planet where the beacon or auction was being held. Historically it had been part of the Republic and later had been declared an independent planet from them and the sith of old. Evidently it remained free and neutral even now. A perfect place to hold black market affairs and freelance auctions like this appeared to be.

As Ra spoke and looked up Cademimu V, she heard the receptors of WD shrink when she mentioned C-02. Glancing up at him from her research, it stopped on one of the ads for the auction. He bleeped at her, probably the first droid sound she had ever heard from him. He mentioned the ship that was familiar to him. Stopping to click on the ad itself, it said where the auction was going to be and almost everything that was for sale there.

Some odds and ends weren't mentioned she was sure, but the high end items were and that ship was going to be the greatest prize they had.

"An auction is where items are sold to the highest bidder. Do you think Ultimatum might be behind this? What purpose would it be for?"

Kay looked over to the datapad that [member="Callum Calahad"] was holding out to her. It was easily written on her face that she recognized the ship displayed there. "That's the Sovereignty. It's [member="Ultimatum"] 's ship. I've been in it a few times. But...it's for sale? Are there droids up for sale too? He must have been ambushed."

Oh she hoped that her friend was alright. It had been so long since they had last seen eachother. Did he know of her children? It was hard to know when he was last going through the holonet. Did he continue to keep tabs on her at all? Kay was starting to feel guilty for not reaching out to him. Yet given that he was headed way past the Unknown Regions, there was a great chance that her messages wouldn't reach him anyways.

Now well underway, the auction had come into full swing. The almost hypnotic voice of the auctioneer was constantly spitting out numbers. The crowd was still not quite as interested in these small odds and ends that were currently being sold. Already, some of the wealthier patrons had expressed interest in the up and coming items. The plan was to switch over to the more expensive items on the list, three droids, sold individually, of course, a collection of disrupter weaponry, package deal, and then a fighter from the ship's hangar.

The advertisement was being adjusted accordingly. A timeline of the approximate sales length was shown with the items of interest. First up, a large silvery humanoid droid, believed to be covered in Phrik, which appeared to have no pre-installed programs. This first robot would be recognizable to those who had known Ultimatum, for it was the body he had most used before his expedition into Unknown Space.

WD-334 was unsure. This didn't seem like something Ultimatum would pull. Something must have happened. Why come back from the expeditions, with their own ship being at an auction? "This does not seem like any plan of Ultimatums" the droid responded to @Ra'a'mah. Something just didn't sit right. They needed to get there, and soon. And WD would do whatever it could to rescue, if he needed rescuing, an old friend. "When do we arrive?" the droid asked, perhaps seeming impatient. but WD rarely cared for patience.

There was a subtle change as they came out of hyperspace and arrived pretty much as WD asked when they would get there.

"About now. WD, what do you think it is then? If this isn't something Ultimatum would do on his own."

The possibility it having something to do with C-02 was a thought and she looked out at the various ships, the location and shook her head. It didn't seem likely this was his doing either.

"Let's get moving."

Leading the way off her ship, she expected WD to keep up with her. His much larger and intimidation factor would hopefully keep them moving unmolested to the auction. Walking in, they were assaulted with the drone of the auctioneer and the various conversations going on around them.

"Take a look around and see if there is anything familiar to you, WD."

She would go sign up and get a card to place bids with.
