A few weeks before the trip she had planned, Coryth sent out simple holomessages to the people closest to her, even to some not quite as close, her boss. Though that was more of .. I'm making a needed trip and this is where I'll be. The rest was letting them know where she was going and why. The time had come to say good bye and this time, she did not want to be alone. She needed others to lean on, friends far and wide to stand by her side.

Naboo - Present time....

There she stood in the wind, long red locks flowing around her, wrapping across her face. In front of her a simple black marker. A few tears rolled down her cheeks. She wasn't the only one in the grave yard, she knew that. But this was something she had to do. It was time to say good bye.

I'm so tired of being here already .... I hate these places, hate goodbyes, hate the pain. I don't want to be here. I want to go. She nearly turned around then and there as she looked down to the stone in front of her, no more than three feet high, and six inches across. It was a small column of black shimmering stone. A name and dates engraved down its length. In fact she turned back to face a few people that had come with her for this. Closing her eyes, she sighed, and once more turned back to face the pillar. She had come so far, and could not leave without doing this. In fact she expected a few would keep her here until she had completed the task.

Kneeling down she traced her hands across the name at the base of the marker. "I miss you. Everyday, I miss you. There is so much I came here to say, so much I wanted to tell you. But I don't know that I will ever get it all out."

Your presence still lingers here....

She chocked back a sob. "Never had the strength to come before now. Never the chance before I was taken. I'm so sorry I never came." The tears fell harder to the ground beneath her."I was afraid that if I came here, saw the grave, your name... that I'd have to accept it was real. That it happened. That you are ..." She sigh heavily, almost panting for a moment. "Gone." Slowly she shook her head back and forth, trying to fight back the pain. "I'm sorry I left you alone that night. I never should have left. I'm sorry the last words I said to you were not I love you. They were made in haste, in anger."

You still have all of me....

For a while nothing came but muffled sobs as she shifted on the ground and buried her head in her knees. "But I did love you.... Still love you. I hope you knew that my heart only ever was beating for you. Because of you, I came back. Came back to the light. To see you torn, the saber in your hand unable to strike that fatal blow. I didn't deserve a second chance. At all."

A hand dropped to the stone, as a lover would hold their mate's hand. It really was what she was trying to do. She just longed to hold him one more time. To see his face once more. "You gave me it none the less." Taking a deep breath in, she held it for a moment before letting it go, slowly releasing some of the agony that she was holding within, just unable to contain it any longer. Anyone in the graveyard was likely to feel the Empath's agony in that moment.

"I can't thank you enough. Which makes it worse that I never came when I had the chance. I just didn't want..."She lifted her head, and looked to the stone. Lifting her hand she motioned to the marker, "This to be real. I was in denial. Always thinking I'd go to the lake house a basket of food in hand and you'd be there to welcome me with open arms. But it was never to be." Once more she shifted in front of the stone, tucking her knees beneath her and leaning her head against the stone. "It was never meant to be."

It was getting harder to retain control over what she felt. With other people present in the cemetery, she didn't want to let every guard down. No one else needed to suffer this pain. "By the time I could talk myself into coming, had finally got on a ship, came here, the Sith grabbed me. He took me, love, took me so far from this place. Took me from everything I ever knew, and I felt like he ripped me from your grasp. It hurt more than I could bear and I spent so many nights sobbing, aching inside and out. I wanted so much to reach through the bars of my cage to meet your hands." She sighed, further bowing her head down against the stone, the crown of her head against it. "I wanted you, wanted you every second of every day. I was kidding myself. You, long gone. Buried here in this place. No one knew I was gone. No one came to save me." No one. I was alone all along.

"So much has changed. So much different now. Even this galaxy is ... It's a mess. It needs another you in it. A good man, with good ideals and a heart of gold. It needs you. I need you." Coryth completely broke down in that moment. Heart wrenching sobs echoed against the stone statues and markers about her. Nothing in that moment could help her, it was just time. Time to let it all go.

"I need you! And you are gone! Why did you leave me here all alone?" She pulled away from the stone, staring at it for a moment as the tears flowed down her ivory cheeks in an unending torrent. She was angry, in agony and sorrow for the goodbye she never got to have. Angry that he was stolen from her far too soon. Angry at herself for not being strong enough. After a long moment she sat there trembling against the stone, allowing herself to cry it out. Knowing it was something that must be done. The anger and pain, something she had to let go. If not now, it was going to consume her. It already had a good head start on that one.

Finally the tears had begun to slow. The pains in her little body easing slowly. "I'm so sorry that I was never able to say this before. I love you. Even time cannot erase that old love. I wish you were still here with me now. I need your grace, your strength, your passion and your love. I miss your touch the most. The way you held me after a nightmare, the way you kept them at bay, the way you made everything easier. I never had to worry about what to say around you. Always knew what you were thinking even when you said nothing at all."

She wiped away more tears, "I'm not sure I'll ever know another love like that. And it tears me apart. There will never be another you. Never be someone who could truly replace you, and not that I would ever want someone like that. I don't want a replacement. I just pray that maybe my heart can find the space for another love as great as you." Reaching out she pressed her hand against the stone, hoping to find some sort of peace in that little touch. Another sigh came, and the tears started back just as heavily as ever.

Standing a respective distance away was Master Kahoshi, watching as the young Jedi Knight said her goodbyes to her fiancé. In this graveyard filled with pain and loss, he was a small spot of serenity. While he still barely knew Coryth, when he had learned of her intentions he thought it best to come with her. There was no way to know how seeing the grave would affect her. Of course there was risk that the darkness she still held inside would take over, but that was not what he expected. He worried the site would crush her, break her down.

But there was hope in her words, and with them Nick's worst fears about her future lifted. Perhaps she would be able to move past this, and finally begin to recover from her painful past. As much as anyone really could at least. Moving closer, he let his calm presence act as comfort in a way he could not otherwise convey.

Unlike the other person here for Coryth, Sarge wasn't worried this site would break her down; he wasn't worried simply because he knew that it would. He'd repeated this process more times than he'd cared to admit with the grave of his father's father. You'd show up, make you way to the grave... and vent.

There was something innately spiritual and cathartic about talking to a gravestone, and he'd never quite understand why it was... but it was. But, she deviated from him in one major way - she spoke so that others would be able to hear her. For him, it had always been a whisper, words exchanged between two souls and no one else.

But this was her moment. Her pain. She had to deal with it how she felt comfortabley.

Standing in the shadow of a large tree, the Sergeant Major in the crisp black and white of an OmegaPyre dress uniform stood, white gloved hands clasped together in front of him as he watched the small redhead vent... and cry... and let go.

She'd never truly be over this, that he knew, but she could heal... slowly. And eventually? Eventually she'd find something akin to peace. Without a word, he took several long steps forward, dress shoes sinking into the manicured lawn without noise. Placing a hand on her shoulder, he pulled a handkerchief from a pocket and handed it to her before taking steps away to distance himself. When she was ready for others to support her, she'd let it be known.

But no one wanted a running nose for long, and so he'd invaded her space for just a moment to make sure she would be as comfortable as one could be in a situation such as this.

Alli stood a distance away, Wanting to go hug the girl right now. She held back from hugging her yet, She stayed there silent. Here for her friend that helped her so much. Alli was grateful for the woman before her and was here to do the same for Coryth. She wanted to be here for her. It was only right, and she felt her heart wrench as she listened and watched. Not much stopped her from running up and embracing Coryth. It was taking a lot to not do it but Alli knew she shouldn't. She waited, there would be a time for such a hug. Alli saw that she wasn't alone.. and she was glad that coryth had other friends.

Alli herself thought often of the woman that she had loved, but it was hard because that same woman had betrayed her, and in the end she had not much sympathy for her. Alli hadn't even been left anything, so she took a deep breath and steadied her self and watched and waited. She was wearing a black dress that was quite modest for Alli Wren. She couldn't believe that all this had happened to the woman in front of her, it was almost too much to bear. To think she thought she had it bad.

In the silence she sobbed for a long while. Hardly noticing as Sarge approached. She jumped under his touch, actually startled, but she knew he had come here with her. He was her certain one. The one who had brought her though hell already. So it was some comfort to know he was watching over her. Looking up to him, she reached out and took the handkerchief from him and wiped away her nose and some of her tears. Not that it helped the tears too much, they just flowed too much, too fast to be wiped away.

Now Nick she could feel, the calming comfort he tried to offer, though it did not slow the tears. She had expected him to be here, a guardian over her. She has suspicions that he stayed closer to her at all times, worried that she may fall into the darkness at any moment... He was right to worry. The tiny woman walked a fine line just on the edge of the dark side. One wrong more, one thing too much and soon she would be pushed too far.

Alli was a surprise. They had grown a friendship together on Corellia, bound over old wounds and fresh pains. Coryth had been her comfort, her aid in a dark hour. And now Alli too stood watch over the tiny redhead. The thought that she had come, had warmed her heart when she found out. It helped to have the people she called friends here. She was overjoyed when the message had come that her newest friend was coming with her. It was to be a somber event, but Coryth knew this, Alli knew this. It was just, wonderful to know she was not doing this alone. Many people supported her. And that, that was the important part.

Her tears still kept on falling, granted slower now but they still fell. "I don't want to say these words. I don't. It makes this .... So real. So ... final. I don't want to let you go. I want to stay forever with you. I don't want you to be gone. But nothing I say changes the fact that you are. Your life, forever snuffed out. You are gone. Really gone. I ... " She stopped talking for a moment and once more silent tears fell hard and fast. "Good bye my love. Good bye Andreas." Those last words were all she could manage. The goodbye more painful than she could ever have dreamed it could be. She cried out loudly, her agony spreading across the cemetery. Soon though, soon her cries grew softer. She curled up against the stone column, laid her head against it and sobbed. Even from a distance her shoulders visibly shook, under the heavy weight she had clearly carried for far too long. The time for comfort was coming, but it was not there yet. She still needed to let the rest of her pains, agony and misery go. A little longer was what she needed, something she hoped the pains that were bleeding across her defenses and guards to those near her conveyed for her.

@Coryth Elaris

Standing nearby, a silent guardian for an unsilent woman, the Sergeant Major bowed his head respectfully as he waited for her to finish. Sorrow and grief crashed and battered their way against his mind like waves upon the shore, and he prayed silently that someone here could be a lighthouse within the torment of her own personal storm.

Hearing her cry, he instinctively moved forward again - as silent as death, he noted with a fair bit of irony. Stopping next to her, he took a slow knee in the grass and placed a light hand on her back. While her empathy told him comfort wasn't what she wanted right now, Sarge knew when it was needed.

And that need was now.

The want would come later.

A thumb gently caressed her back as he frowned beneath the mirrored black of his visor. He fought the urge to cry himself as very real emotions of his very own bubbled to the surface, but he suppressed it with the same deft mental exercises he'd honed over the years.

"Sometimes I still wait up... staring at the door.
Simply wishing, you'd come back once more...
I know it's useless, these words appear without meaning.
Pointless thoughts wrapped in bandages, while we still hope for something better...
All it took was a moment...
For our hearts to drop.
As if our professions centered on wrestling with depression. And even after all this time we try to show nonaggression, but we're tired of this oppression. We defy your confessions and blame a corrupt system for lacking the lie of perfection. And we try to stand up, push back, refuse your emotional attack. Even though we try our best, it seems futile. Little chance of success.
Yet we still try to convince ourselves that you're here with us, just like the rest.
That somehow you made it past the impassable, broke the chain and surpassed inevitable.
In our hearts, we know you are gone. Your body no longer moves. The energy binding your soul has transferred to another source, one that can not be found. For some reason, we promise that you're still around. Simply saying 'Du er ikke borte, bare gjemt fra syn.' You are not gone, merely hidden from sight.
But alas... Nex est solus verum in vita. And that, my dear, will never change. I just... Vollo illa everto woiuld licentia meus mens unus. Tamen magis sic Volo suum nocens sententia licenta vos."
Words came loosely, stuttered out with no clear thought process. Soaked with despair, wrapped in a blanket of tears. And unleashed with the fury of the lost, the broken, and the hidden. Dreamed up by the abandoned and forgotten by the future. Lines scratched onto a page no longer, now speech wakened from its slumber. Written by none, spoken by one.
Accompanied with dreary flowers and solemn memories. Just an opinion voiced by a mad merc, and a lost one at that. Not lost physically, no... but mentally. Confused by uproars of emotions, turning of tides, and the lies of the world. For death is the only truth in life. A cold, bitter one. Some would be surprised to find out how well 'Kairo' was acquainted with that truth. For she had died twice now. Once, as Ven'Rain Sekairo, secondly as Ven. Each time her body remained the same, but the 'demons' within her mind changed. Personalities were twisted, bent until they were almost beyond recognition.
But she never forgot. Nor did she ever forgive.
Years ago, back when served within the Republic military, there had been an accident. Details were kept secret for the most part. Kairo had lived through it all. And on that day, one of her best friends at the time died. Claw strikes to the stomach. It hadn't been pretty. Luckily for the mad merc, she hadn't seen it all. She herself had been knocked out, and one of a handful of survivors.
Neimo (her comrade) had originally been born on Naboo. And so there she had been buried. Well, what remained of her at least. The soldier had loved flowers, especially red ones. Which weren't to hard to find. Missing her friend dearly, Kairo had made it tradition to bring crimson flora to the grave every year. Today just so happened to be one of those days. However, it was also the only time the merc had seen others nearby in the cemetery.
A small group had slowly gathered not long after she had arrived. By then she was already sitting by Neimo's grave, and talking to her lost friend. In fact, she hadn't noticed them at all. At least not until a wave of emotions seemed to pass through her. Kairo merely looked up, leaned to the right, then returned to her previous activities.
It wasn't her job to interfere with those mourning. She had her own grief to attend to, and a song to finish singing.
"Procul terminus of dies, quicumque somes, est statuo utrum necne vos have vires ut vado in. Commodo, tribuo mihu ut vires, Neimo. EGO requiro vos, carus amicus."

The goodbye had been said, and now it was up to Coryth as to whether she would recover. Others could be there to help her, but ultimately success and failure rested solely in her hands. For his part, Nick really had no idea how to help. He had left his family behind when he escaped to become a Jedi. It had been to keep them safe from the dark spirit inside, but he had missed so much. Not even the chance to say goodbye to his father when he had passed. So such things were outside his experiences.

When she curled up against the stone, and the masked man went to comfort her, Nick went as well. He spoke in his usual calm tone, but it held a quiet strength of someone who had lived a lifetime. "Remember, he is with the Force now. As long as you stay true to your beliefs and let the Force flow through you, he will always be a part of you."

Coryth was in agony, pure and simple. At first as Sarge approached her, a hand on her back she tried to push him away. But soon regretted such actions as she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him in close, and finally releasing the stone beside her, to sob against his shoulder. "Everything hurts... Everything." She managed in a whisper, her voice cracking badly from the tears. This was something she never expected to be so hard, to be so bad. Over the last decade, so much had built up, so many emotions that she allowed to fester and here they were bleeding out uncontrollably.

Right then, she only wanted to be held. That's it, just held. Just to know people were right there for her, should she need them. She needed them truly, more than she could ever express in this moment.

As Nick approached, she managed a squeak, a soft but cracked voice, "I know." She managed, but it was the only word she could manage. A nod against Sarge's shoulder followed. She knew he was one with the force now, and that was one more reason she must stick to the light. Her love, even gone, she still needed at her side and it was some small comfort to know he too was part of the mystical energy field that surrounded and shaped her life.

Finally despite not wanting comfort, not wanting others, she lift her hand and motioned for Alli to join them. Simple fact was, without wanting, she knew she needed them even if she wished to cry alone right then. As for Alli, she could feel the desire to comfort her there too. Everyone else was here, no reason not to have her along her side too. Putting her arm back on Sarge she pulled up a bit of his uniform in her hands, trying to bring him closer, trying to find a way to ease her pains but not really knowing how.

Feeling her tugging on his uniform, the man wrapped her up in his arms and held her. Not a word was spoken, for none needed to be said. The language here was physical, and it spoke only of comfort and safety in the arms of the Sergeant Major. For once though, he truly didn't know what to say.

No platitudes came to mind, no calming words of serenity.

It was just him and her embracing, their company around for her support.

Alli went up to Coryth, not able not hug her anymore. She didn't care if sarge was the one that was hugging her, Alli reached and joined the hug. She wanted to be there for Coryth like she had been there for her. She didn't care if she was technicly hugging the man who had scalped Circe.. and other things as well, she was here for Coryth. She loved the woman, as she was her only friend really. Alli knew that Coryth was there for her, so here she was for Coryth. It was the least she could do. " I am here as long as you need Coryth, anytime, I am at your beck and call, just say the word and I am by your side. " She teared up a bit, it touched her very core to know the pain that Coryth was going through. Alli had to admit, she was begining to like hugs, far more than she would ever admit.

I wish you were here with me now. I need you so....

The tears kept falling for sometime. As Alli joined them, Coryth reached out and pulled her into the hug. Sarge was right, the need was now. The want was going to come later. For once she was thankful he'd intruded on her space to show her the comfort and love she needed. Letting go was never easy, but with people who cared so much the burden was greatly reduced. "Thank you..." She whispered to Alli, to let her know she had heard her. Not wanting her to be forgotten in the mess of pain and letting go.

Eventually tears slowed to next to nothing. The pains were receding and slowly she was gaining control over her Empathy once more, and sharing less and less of the familiar agony. For what seemed like eternity she sat there sniffling, still clinging tightly to Sarge and Alli, not wanting to let go, afraid to let go. For she worried that if she let them go, she'd just fade away into the sadness, never to recover.

Finally she let go of them both. A hand reached back sadly tracing her fingers over the stone, over the basic written at the base of the marker. With a bit of a stumble she started slowly to get to her feet. She'd no idea what else to do, what else she could say. Seeming dazed, shocked, deeply saddened, it was a change for the little redhead. Usually her emotions were left locked away from the galaxy but here everything was on her sleeves for all to see. She couldn't have hidden any of her pain if she had wanted to. Not in this moment, it just wasn't possible.

When she finally stood, leaving behind the tombstone after letting both he and Alli go - a situation that had made him more than a little uncomfortable, mind - Sarge stood and took a few steps back, letting her correct herself in her own time. The stumble was expected, and while he wanted to help something inside of him said to let her.

She had to stumble, and if she fell... he'd be right there behind her to catch her.

Clasping his hands together in front of him, he stood and he watched. She'd leave when she was ready, and even if he was bored this was too important for him to leave. A part of him felt bad being bored, but he was habitually bored unless he was in the middle of an adrenaline rush, so he suppressed it and socked it away for what it was; inconsequential feelings.

Alli stayed with Coryth, She loved the woman in her arms. She was a true friend. She was there for Alli in her time of need and it was time to be there for her now. She let go, and stood there, ready to be there in a heartbeat should Coryth need it again. She couldn't imagine the pain that Coryth was going through. She just stood there near sarge, hands at her side. She wiped a bit of the tears on her own face away. She stood there and waited. Alli couldn't believe it. Alli would do anything for Coryth. She only wish she could do more for her.

Coryth turned back a final time. "I love you, Andreas. Always will. You are as much a part of me as the heart that beats within my chest. I promise, you won't be forgotten. Not so long as I live." A few final tears fell, she was quick to wipe them away. Her words were in the here and now, not using were, was, did love you. No, she planned to let him live on through her. Needed to live on through her, and that was something that she was going to ensure happened. His death had been a great tragedy for the galaxy and one that cut her deeply. There was no blade in the world that could have cut her as deep as the loss of her love.

A swift breeze picked up, strangely warm on the cool day. Something about the way it moved around her, ran through her hair like fingers, pulled at her simple clothing. A presence, so familiar was in it. One she new instantly. The immense sadness faded for a moment in her eyes. This was an event that had happened once before to her, the strange winds, familiar presences, her own lover was saying goodbye in his own way. He could not show himself in the force, not yet. But he was there, reminding her he'd still be by her side as long as she knew where to look. That simple event, undoubtedly felt by the others, seemed to lift a huge weight from the tiny woman's shoulders. The pain a little easier to bear.

As quickly as it had come, it was gone. For a second she reached out, wanting to find that again. To feel his presence so close to her side. But alas, he was gone. Truly gone. She'd be lucky to ever feel such again, but who knows there was always a chance he might appear to her at another time, another day. His appearance today was all that could be given for now. Comfort badly needed in a dark hour. Feeling him finally leave her, as she turned to leave, took another step, her knees gave way and she collapsed to the ground. For a moment she cried, frustrated that her body refused to obey. She hadn't been sitting for that long after all. It shouldn't have been like this. But such grief was a strange thing. One last time she rose up to her feet, and looked back to her friends and motioned for them to follow. The time had come to go.

"I want a drink." She whispered, all her dry and raspy voice would allow for after so much sobbing. It was not water she wanted, no. No, she wanted something that could numb away the pain inside. To help ease the burden just a little or ... allow her to forget such pains for a time. "Something strong." Needless words to speak but she wanted it clear what she wanted then. Not wanting one of them to hand her water and expect all to be well again.
