It didn't take too long to escort the Coalition vessels through the Corellian system to the Centerpoint Shipyards even at their lumbering speed. Thankfully, it had been uneventful. So far there had been no major incidents related to the Confederation announcing their independence from the Republic. Hopefully, the divorce as you will would continue to be amicable. Time would only tell though.

Centerpoint Shipyards were located between the Twin Worlds of Tralus and Talus. Corellia's orbital shipyards and deep-dock network were constructed from the remnants of the ancient Centerpoint Station that was destroyed several hundreds of years before. The massive shipyards were able to service and rapidly produce vessels from the size of starfighters to as big as Destroyer-class ships and battlecruisers. It was a vital part to the system's economy, thus it was patrolled heavily by Corellian Federation ships.

For the public, there was a museum and an interactive observatory too. Ava had not yet visited either since the Ralltiiri started calling Corellia home and joining the CDF. It was something she would have to rectify when time allowed. History and lore was something the pilot rather enjoyed.

Goldie keyed the comm unit. "Aquila Transcendence, this is Wildcat One... It's been a pleasure being your escort today. Clear skies in the future. May the Force be with you," she said before rolling her X-wing to port sending the snubfighter into a gentle arc away from the docking ships with the rest of the squadron following suit forming up in a patrol pattern further out.

Toggling over to the CDF tactical channel, the Commander keyed the comm once again. "Pike Actual, this is Wildcat Leader... Package delivered. We are transitionally proving CAP as we await further orders, over."

"A way forward, yes and we wish you all the best," she paused and her eyes steeled, "But our way forward will not be with the New Republic. Our Council has decided that it is time for us to find our own path." She sighed tiredly. The last few days she had gotten little sleep and had been in and out of meetings, hearings, and strategy sessions. She was drained and simply wanted to get this over with. In her hands she had something of her own.

"Its good that you did come though, even if your task was next to impossible to complete," she brandished a datapad from inside a handbag and smiled sadly. "This is Corellia's official documentation of secession. The documents should all be in order and signed electronically by the Council. This is non-negotiable. What is negotiable are trade agreements, shipyard use, and a few other things, but we are no longer of the Republic, and I am no longer Senator of the New Republic."

Fond of tales?

He was fond of tales, many of them seemed to be true. Every tale was had some roots in fact, even with fiction surrounding them a skilled listener could pick out the fact and learn from it. If there wasn't fact, then the story would have a moral which could be learned from. Every moral would shape a person, make them a better version of themselves. You could learn more from stories than you could from any other lesson that could be taught.

He bid farewell to the youth in the room, and followed his target outside.

"You appear to have formed a bond with these children. Many of the members of this order are assisting with the transferance of power, I was interested in why you had chosen to remain behind. I'm sure the children aren't your only reason for remaining while so many others are working?"

He watched her. What he had said was correct, the Grand Master (as disorganised as he was) was lending the order to the Corellian Government to aid in the transfer of power. While the temple seemed extremely loud, it was actually emptier than it nroamlly was. There always needed to be a guard for the temple however, and the Jedi that remained would serve as that guard should any form of incident occur which placed the temple under threat.

He smiled to her softly, and waited for her answer.

"Kuat's resources are lost to you, and now an Imperial shadow looms over Aargau," Jaius interjected at last, "We both understand all too well how sore a blow this is to the Senate, but I would encourage you to accept the will of the Corellian people. Only then can we begin to determine how the New Republic and the Confederation might function as friends, but not parts of one whole."

He was beginning tire, first the trip from Carida and now a whirlwind meeting of various minds. There was still the Corellian Council itself to speak with once their conversation with [member="Lux Berooken"] had concluded. So far everything about the man had given Sovv the impression that he was a true believer. Jaius remembered what it was like to feel that way, then Coruscant had erupted in flames and everything he had helped build over a lifetime was stolen from him overnight. The Republic and Alliance shared the starbird, and that meant something, but there were Corellians who still wore the Alliance starbird and that meant something too. More to him than his dreams of a Republic restored.

"The Republic Navy needs time to recover, to rebuild," the sullustan politician continued after several labored breaths, "Let the Defense Force see to the Core for now. Corellia is strong, with your support it can be even stronger. We're all on the same side, and I for one am willing to surrender my title and influence if it means keeping all our people safe."

Jaius glanced at [member="Lisza Starseeker"] apologetically and nodded, indicating he was finished speaking on matters above his current station.

Things hadn't gone the way that he had expected but the fact that both [member="Jaius Sovv"] and [member="Lisza Starseeker"] wanted to have a relationship with the NR in the future was progress even if Corellia moving forward would not be a part of the NR they could at least be partners and that was something that was good for both sides and who knows maybe in the future they could rejoin if they wanted.

"I see that your planet is deteremined to go down this path" his voice softened "you and your people are about to embark on a journey and while you won't be going as a member of the New Republic I do sincerly wish you the best of luck. Our two governments will always be in this fight toegther for we are free people who believe in freedom." he gave them both a smile and moved towards the door "I do hope that this is not the last time that we shall be seeing each other and perhaps next time we will be on same side, but until that time I hope that you remain well and strong for your people."

He had come to this planet seeking to change the will of the government but there was little that he could do, the NR was founded on the principle that you could vote to join or to leave, his hands were tied and maybe this was the end of the NR as he and the rest of the galaxy knew it or maybe this was just a bump in the road either was he remained hopeful. He had hopefully laid the groud work for a future relastionship and while not what he set out to do it was still important.

Sel stood opposite the old denizen of the light, her hands cupping her elbows, her hips canted to one side. It was a fair question, coming from someone out of the temple's many citizens she had only just met; that being no surprise, given their levels of activity and her at-times erratic visiting schedule. That he didn't put a name to her face wasn't unexpected either - calling attention to herself served no purpose and never had, for various reasons across her years, one being self preservation. Here on Corellia, it was skirting being put on some sort of pedestal for her efforts. Nothing good is ever easy.

“Corellia and her people are my work, Master Jedi. That includes children,” she stood straight, “though that it's younglings and the temple today is less a matter of work and more… shall we say, ‘personal'.”

Which could be anything or nothing, to a stranger.

"Sorry to interrupt your conversation, Madam [member="Lisza Starseeker"]. I am Prime Minister Valcho of the United Galactic Federation and I came here to discuss the future of Corellia. Greetings Vice Chancellor [member="Jaius Sovv"] it is good to see you... Alive" said Valcho as he walked into the room. He made a gesture to his Bodyguards which meant to leave. " As a gesture of good will between Corellia and the Federation I would like to donate a new Liberty class Battlecruiser to the defense fleet. I suggest you give it to Admiral Pryce. Now we can talk political. There is much to talk about." He waited for the politicians to respond. " Shall we begin
