A New Path

Tenzen spins behind the droid he was defending from and elbows it to push it back away from him. He blocked another attack from the previous droid and forced it's blade down to the right, which gave him a chance to push the droid back with his shoulder. In the corner of his eye, Tenzen saw a Commando droid closing in on his position. He turned quickly and dashed towards it, clashing lightsaber's with the droid.

The Commando droid had more force behind its attack than he thought, forcing Tenzen to make quick action so his guard was broken from the attack. Going off instinct, Tenzen begins to adjust himself to the right, deactivates his lightsaber, and rolls under the Commando droids blade and to the right. This was a risky move, but it worked out in the end. He quickly got back up on his feet, reactivates his lightsaber and turned to face the droid all in one motion.

She could feel him within the force while he was moving now. Before the different jedi were allowing her to see it. She knew how they moved, she knew how best to test him and everything these droids knew how to do would be something great to really test them. The higher settings for the droids could go a long way when she ducked down and rolled backwards with her blade deactivating for a moment. She felt the force then pushed herself off of the floor with the energy directing it into the floor getting a small grin on her face. Where she would be able to go to the ceiling to grab one of the railings above and she swung for a moment. She had learned from many and from Kana but Sor-Jan had given her skils in the saber while she dropped down and turned it into a falling leaf strike swinging around while gravity allowed her to sever the arm of the droid.

While Tenzen defended himself from the droid, he witnessed Noriko 's actions as it followed up with severing the droids arm. Everything was fluent and with effective in her skill, whereas Tenzen was more straight forward in his attacks. Focusing back on the situation at hand, he was able to swing his blade at the droids right leg, the blade removing the robotic leg from its body. He didn't actually mean to cut the droid down like that, but his instincts took over during the fight.

Another droid came up to attack him, but its blade was blocked by his own. Tenzen spun around the droid and kicked it towards the droid that he had cut down early, making sure that it didn't make a last ditch effort to attack him. It may have lost a leg, but some droids are able to fight in critical conditions as long as they're still active, and he wasn't going to let it surprise attack him.

Noriko could feel and see him as he moved about. Letting the force guide her but she dropped down after kicking off the chest of another droid to send it into the wall. Her body compacting and going to the floor while she rolled to the side. Popping back up behind a droid and slashing him apart to see her padawan and she had her saber staff at the ready to try and catch his blade while she spoke. "You are doing well, padawan. I think Shii-cho would work best to begin. It is more about being unpredictable, using your skills and strengths over something static like when I am using niman." She said it while she was moving around with a bigger grin on her face. "We can work towards a more balanced skill set."

When Noriko slashed the droid in front of him apart, Tenzen stopped his movement so that he wouldn't accidentally attack her, his blade coming close to hers. He knew that his mentor would have been able to stop it with ease, but he still didn't want to follow through since the droid he was originally going to attack was defeated.

Tenzen watched Noriko move around and listened to his mentor carefully and was happy to hear that he did well. He wasn't someone who looked for approval, but obtaining a compliment from someone more skilled than him was always a good thing. Hearing that he would begin learning Shii-cho made him a little excited. He didn't know much of anything when it came to Jedi or their techniques, but learning how to improve his ability to defend and fight was something Tenzen enjoyed.

"Sounds like a plan. When do we begin?"

Tenzen smiled, showing his interest in what he will be learning in the near future.

She stopped along with her padwan, standing there while she remained and let the saber deactivate. The vibration and minor humming going away when she looked up at him. "Well, we should make sure you have some water at least and then we can begin with the basics of it. Find a nice little place to go and apply it, then we will keep the lessons going. I know it is easier at times to learn the skills if you are applying them instead of just learning about it." She looked around the room at the droids until she was uncertain about a few parts they were going into. The jedi had a grin on her face so that she would be able to walk around and have some fo the water with the vitamin flavoring.

Tenzen deactivated his lightsaber and went to get some water to hydrate himself. As he started sipping on the water, he couldn't help but let his eyes wonder around the ship. Like he had realized before, it was a pretty nice ship. He then thought about his first training exercise as a Jedi trainee and tried to imagine what the future held for him. The droids that he fought were surely more than he expected and he has definitely learned from the training.

"Is there anything I should expect for my Shii-Cho training?"

"Well it won't be as easy or fun as some of the others. Half of Shii-cho is having control while making it seem like you don't. Being unpredictable and without a sort of plan but all the while you have something going in the works." Noriko said it and it wasn't exactly easy to explain. You needed the imagination that could go a long way in terms for dueling. So she was moving around the room and had a grin on her face. She looked up at him though and offered him a chance to really get at it while she looked at his saber. "My family is mostly jedi artisan's, looking at ways to use their skills. If you want,k when you fel ready you can use some of their knowledge to construct your saber."

The explanation he was given about Shii-Cho wasn't exactly what he expected but wasn't something he didn't understand. If the enemy has the false sense that their opponents movements are unpredictable, the advantage is given to the opponent.

"Well, I don't usually expect learning or training to be fun or easy, so i'm fine with that. It sounds interesting to learn non-the-less."

He responded to quickly when Noriko talked her family and how he could make a lightsaber if he wanted.

"That sounds like a great opportunity. I would like to construct my own lightsaber as soon as possible, especially since these training blades would put me at a disadvantage if I ever have to defend myself."

Tenzen was joking on that last part. He had other weapons at his disposal to defend himself and he wouldn't take the training saber with him anyway. He was just trying to add a little humor in, even though it was a bland joke.

She looked at him and had a grin on her face. "THen you won't enjoy the new supression system they developed for ship and temples. Basically makes a lightsaber like a training blade to mess with attackers but it messes with a jedi blade as well." She said it turning around on her heel and securing her saber staff on her belt pulled up a hardlight hologram of the map to where they were going. "Thankfully we haven't installed it on a number of ships yet so get a small chance to mess around." She was pulling up where they were headed the world had a few things that would come in handy to the jedi possibly... but more then that Kashyyyk wasn't the only place a jedi should go. "We are headed to Ahch-To the home fo the first jedi temple, where we have been exploring what is on the world."

Hearing about this new suppression system made Tenzen frown. Dulling a warriors weapon is sure to make them annoyed in battle, so he was sure there would be a time where this suppression system would make things difficult for him. Then again, a person's weapon should never be their only means of defending themselves, so he shrugged it off and smiled once again. "That does sound like an annoyance, but it's nothing a warrior can't adapt to."

Tenzen had never heard of Ahch-To before, but it surely peaked his interest. The way he saw it, there was always something new he could learn by visiting different places.

She offered a grin. "It can be and for those who don't know how to adapt well it can be something else. THose invading jedi ships to take them over will face a great many of the new challenges and... there might be one or two chances for some other things." She said it but the ship was heading there and she could see some parts of it. here as she moved towards the cockpit and led him around with a smile on her face. "You did well and now we are hopefuly going towards the planet when it jumped to hyperspace giving her a moment to smile. She sat there and turned on an small holo of [member="Kei Raxis"] when she was sitting in her chair and looked smaller when she sank in it.

"What I can say is that it will be a surprise for any invaders, so there would be a window of opportunity for the Jedi to take advantage of in such a situation."

Tenzen walked up behind Noriko's chair as she sank into the seat. He was going to ask how long it would take to get to the planet but he saw a holo of some man appear. Tenzen didn't know who it was, but he decided not to ask since she would most likely introduce them. even if that wasn't the case, it's not of his business, so he just awaited.

She was looking up at him. "Shouldn't be to long, Ahch-To is easier to get to with the special drive we have. Faster, smaller and built with the help fo the aing-tii." She said it though while bringing up some of the screens so she would be better able to check on a few things. Mainly she was checking the drive as they went through sub-hyperspace towards the planet. WHile some seemed to view the location of Ahch-To as a massive secret only the select and elite should have allowing jedi of all ranks and types the chance to study there seemed fair. So she ignored some of them but stayed ready when the scans of the world below came into view from the relays and mapping ships.

"Well I look forward to visiting this planet."

Tenzen had never heard of Ahch-To, so he didn't know what to expect. He waited for their arrival to the planet, taking a seat and putting his hands behind his head. He saw that Noriko keeping her eyes on the screens she had brought up, so he didn't bother her. Instead, he closed his eyes and let his mind wonder, waiting to reach their destination.

The flight to the planet was easy enough, she had worked on a lot more of the things that they had here. She had the freighter for themselves... where it cdould be going and she shifted to bring up some fo the screens for herself with a small grin on her face. Kei was busy in most cases, others were around the galaxy so it fell to her to do something heroic or at least when the ship was appearing over the planet. She could see the blue of the oceana nd the green islands all across it. THe seas had risen up and covered much of the world but for them there was some more to work on. Noriko set the alarm to let her padawan sleep when she was bringing the ship in for a landing.

Tenzen had unintentionally fallen asleep as the ship drew closer to the planet. He was woken up by some alarm that he assumed had been set by Noriko. Pushing aside his surprise from falling asleep so easily, he got out of the chair and began to stretch. It didn't take long for him to realize that they had landed onto the planet, which made meant that it was time to get to work in Tenzen's mind.

As he prepared himself for what was ahead, he looked outside of the ship to see what the environment was like. He had never been here before, so it was a good idea to take a look at his surroundings.

Ahch-To was in many ways simple, oceans and islands with a small chain leading off of the large one they had. Where she was looking was up, the buildings that had been restored by the caretakers and jedi left here. Restoring the temple and area to maintain it, the porgs flying around and as she looked over seeing her padawan there was the crisp waters. Filled with some of the padawans who were learning to swim in the shallows. Noriko was standing around as some of the jedi who were there stood up and moved over to her. Embracing the petite master was a large zeltron. pink skin, dark hair and wearing what might be considered nothing much. Dejah THoris inspired style of clothing with her lightsaber and a blaster on her hip. "Welcome back little Ike."

Noriko looked at her with a frown but she spoke. "Ami, this is my padawan and we are here to work on his training. Has the underwater sections been uncovered?" She was curious and the zeltron took a moment to look at the boy with a nod of her head. "Yes they have been, we uncovered the crystal caves then down lower itno the section of temple. We haven't been able to salvage the star temple but we have cleared it out and made a different lift. It seems to be observing the vergence int he force that the pit opens into." She said it and Noriko was walking with the others when she led the way and motioned towards the stone steps with her padawan. "You ready to climb up some stairs." She said it with a larger grin on ehr face though and the temple loomed.

Tenzen found his surroundings to be quite beautiful, examining everything around him as he followed Noriko. The porgs were a species that Tenzen had never seen before, so seeing the small creatures flying around put a smile on his face. Tenzen focused back on the task at hand when a Zeltron came and embraced his mentor. He noticed the weapons that were on her hip, which made him assume that she was a Jedi.

When the Zeltron, Ami, nodded at him, Tenzen just nodded back without saying anything. When they approached the stone steps and Noriko asked if he was ready to climb them, Tenzen smiled and responded.

"I don't know, this seems to be a bit much for me to handle."

He was joking of course, looking up at the temple ahead. As he started to take a few steps up the stairs, he found himself curious about what they would do when inside the building.

She looked at him and gave a nod. "I get it, this can be a strange place that is overwhelming witht he history to some." She was looking at a few other parts of it though. She was looking at the temple higher up though and. "Or maybe it is because you wanted to stay down here where all fo the teenage girls are in the water... maybe the boys..." She said it with a nudge for a moment while moving up the steps laughing a little. "It is okay, just meet me at the top, there are some rooms and an area for food. The locals don't mind us to much and we have a chance to see all fo the other parts of the island. There is the ancient burned out tree as well as the observatory."
