Sic transit gloria mundi

Siobhan had turned even before she heard Silaqui's terrified cry for help. What brought her back was the sensation of feeling Tegaea's pain as she was thrust against the wall, something she felt though she was deep in the tick of battle. Without thinking, without concern for anything or anyone else she turned and charged.
Dark Eldorai who dared come between her and Tegaea were cut down mercilessly, her blade like a reaver of souls as it struck, or simply telekineticaly crushed as a wave sent them flying, bursting internal organs, ripping off limbs, crushing bones. One simply got force-enhanced punch against her jaw strong enough to break it and was sent flying backwards. She heard the sounds of intense bolter fire, explosions resonating, she felt the Sciia being unleashed as the Angelii pyromancer let loose her flames.
A few Angelii on her own side were too slow to move and were simply force pushed out of the way as the berserker raced through. She did not bother look at them as they were tossed like ragdolls, for they were absolutely insignificant to her. If anything had happened to Tegaea...they would all pay. By burning and being crushed.
Eyes ablaze with righteous fire and rage, she stormed into the bunker, the blue blade of her lightsabre ignited as it hummed, eager to reap the souls of those who stood in ist way. To find Silaqui and the Angelii dead and her Tegaea...alive and victorious.
"Tegs!" she stormed towards her. One of the loyalist Angelii who had been quick enough to keep up with the mentally unstable ceiling-dropper and smart enough not to get too far ahead let loose a blast of water to dissipate the flames on Tegaea's hair and clothing, and Siobhan, not caring about anyone else, ran forward to pull her up and envelope her in bear hug.
"Are you ok? Are you hurt? Damn it, woman, I can't leave you alone for...," she trailed off, pulling Tegaea closer. "Get a medic!" she yelled at one of the Angelii, her voice a powerful boom that was carried across the hall, who quickly ran off to fetch one, "I'm sorry. Thank the Gods you're alive. Good work, love," she said feelingly, overcome by emotion at the moment before she noticed the gutted body of Silaqui, blood seeping out of the wound where the treacherous Angelii had stabbed her.
She felt...sad. Siobhan had liked Silaqui - when one thought about it, they were not that different, what with Sio being a decadent aristo these days when she was not killing people for this or that reason. But Tegaea was alive, that was all that mattered to her now.
"Traitors have struck! The Star Queen is dead!" one of the Angelii cried out.
"The human monkeighs have betrayed us...," one paranoid Angelii exclaimed before she found herself nursing a rather hurt and frozen nose as Kaida cut off any elaboration on this being a devious plot to put Anya on the throne by punching her in the face, a powerful layer of frost smashing into it, making her bleed.
"Shut up and do your job if you know what's good for you. Kaeshana lives on, the foreigners have been more loyal than some of our own sisters. All traitorous vermin must be put to the sword and exterminated," Kaida, possessing the timelessly barking voice of a sergeant, yelled at her, not letting them get distracted for a moment. Outside the battle continued, the Dark Eldorai being cornered and slaughtered. Today there would be no prisoners. If they were to surrender, which they probably would not, it would not be accepted. With the Firemane troops and Eldorai reinforcements having burst in, the battle was a short affair.
Realisation washed over Siobhan as she embraced her wife, with Silaqui dead Anya would be Queen now. The crown, the burden of leadership would be hers now. With the former Exarch focused on her wife and the the hall being brutally purged of Dark Eldorai, their dead bodies piling up as no mercy was shown, Kaida took it upon herself to order a tech in the bunker to send a transmission to the command post where Princess Anya Venari was supposed to be directing the counterattack.
For good or ill a new star had risen over Kaeshana.
