A Party of Crowns (PM for Invite)

201815.jpg
Perhaps it was because she enjoyed meeting others outside her own world, or for whatever political purposes that caused her to do this so often, but Empress Nimue Stormson of Effekt had once again sent inviations to those within the galaxy. Only now the nature was different. Now it was more of a select few people, ainly royalty or people of a royal status. Some were those she knew while others were strangers, but all would come in one sense or another. Others had heard of this grand ball to take place and sent invitation requests. Only a few had actually been granted the permission, and that was after being reviewed by minor lords and masters of political affairs first and then being shown to the Empress herself. It seemed whatever the Empress had in mind had been more strict than her last parties she'd thrown.
As with any galla she threw Nimue had a private landing port ready at the palace within the capital city itself. Unlike the other times where she would have them ride through the city to recieve the priase of the citizens Nimue had decided to simply allow them to land at the palace itself; recent history proving the former idea to be a more tensious one. Their shuttles would be greeted by royal guards who would escort them to the main hall, going through the palace's front courtyard first before entering. The courtyard itself had anumber of elegant statues and the like that invisioned old warriors and emperors who were prasied by the people of Effekt. Since they were all male it was clear Nimue was the first of her kind: an Empress who intended to leave her mark upon her world; and possibly the galaxy.
Upon entering the hall they would be greeted to the sound of music and the smell of prepared food and drink. Two large tables spanning almost half the room were on both sides of the main hall of the palace. Food of all manner, from vegatables and fruit to freshly cooked meats, were all set and ready. Servants, both men and women, walked about with jugs of ale, wine, water and whatever else the guests might need. A red carpet lead from the door to the very end of the room where a grand throne of Effekt sat. And sitting upon it was Empress Nimue herself. Dressed in her royal attire with her large golden crown and her furred cape. In her right hand was her scepter of authority, though her ain weapon was her lightsaber which hung from her belt. She kept a more upright manner as each of the guests would approach to be greeted by her. Her emerald eyes peered while her green painted lips kept a bemused smile on them, eager to meet any of the new patrons to accept her invitation or come by request. She hoped her reputation for throwing parties preceeded her at this point.
An annoucner would call out each of their names and lineage or place of origin before they would approach the empress, as a means of protocol.
(Basically you guys can have the announcer say whatever lol)

Solan moved towards the open arch and paused for a few moments as he took in the sight with a raised brow before leaning his head back and rolling it. It had been a bit since his last being here and for a moment he had thought to bring Evania to here but he waved against it now that he thought about it. It would be odd for him to bring his daughter to a evening like these especially when it was something that was being hosted by a close friend of his. Granted he would come to bring up that fact of his own natural born daughter in the future but for now he simply smiled and pushed through the people towards the opening.

Then came the announcement. With a quick motion he stepped through the door and his name and title was given... well rather his name was.

"Now announcing... Solan..." There was nothing mroe and the man looked confused for a moment as he looked at Solan who just gave him a shrug and kept on walking. There was nothing really he had or wanted to call himself past his first name. He got annoyed by endless titles like. 'Solan Charr, King of Kesh and Kal'Shebbol, Shadow Prince of Eclipstica, yada yada yada.' Titles annoyed him and it was better someone remained who they were. And he was Solan, nothing else.

Landing on Effekt was quite the eye opener as he walked off the landing ramp and looked at the palace, it was well... magnificent to say the least. He had asked for an invitation for this event as he still had a title but that was it due to his long apsence from the galaxy his title was still his by right but he had no real power, for now at least. His trip here was mostly for the purpose of hopefully gain an ally to help reclaim his birthrights political power on Serenne well that and he wanted to meet the woman that had gained such power and influence, not to mention being the first female leader of Effekt. To say that Empress [member="Nimue Stormson"] was one impressive woman would be an understatement to be sure.

Following the royal guards into the large hallway a few minutes after [member="Solan Charr"] the announcer cleared his throat and then introduced him. "Now Announcing Count Azriel Zadimus of Serenno!" The well groomed, whey-faced gentleman gave the announcer a polite 'thank you' gesture as he then walked into the hallway. He walked with a purposeful stride until he reached the bottom of the stairs leading up to the throne and he knelt down on one knee before the Empress. "Your highness I am honored you accepted my request for an invitation." He spoke in a respectful and well mannered tone before he stood back up and gave another half bow to the Empress, he hoped Serenno high society etiquette was a valid greeting to royalty on Effekt.

Lord Tarantula

An Arachnid, not a Cephalopod
Kyale thought he'd been thinking this about way too many planets since he'd started wandering the galaxy, but Effekt was beautiful. It seemed to be cold and snowy and wonderful, but it also felt strangely... cozy? Considering that his body was probably something like thirty percent metal from all the cybernetics, the cold should've bothered him, but it didn't.

At any rate, the palace was a great piece of architecture, considering that this civilization was supposed to have been pre-spaceflight until just under a decade ago. It was astonishing to see what an effective monarch could do to catch up to modern times if they wanted to. All in all, Lord Tarantula was quite happy to be there to see it.

He stepped through the gates, attempting not to be noticed, but... Four huge cybernetic arms are kind of hard to miss. One of the footmen accosted him and asked him how they would announce him when he joined the party in the ballroom. He told them, and made his way towards the noise that gave away the location of the party. The statues of the ancient kings seemed to glare down at him in his almost-grungy combat suit, but he pushed his shades up over his eyes and told the most vehement-looking piece of metal and rock to suck it up, and continued walking.

When he stepped into the hall, the announcer... announced him, "His Excellency Agrajag, the King of-"

Lord Tarantula glared at the man as the other shuffled through his papers for the right name and title. The cyborg put his gloved organic hand over the man's mouth and slipped him a credit chit before announcing himself, "The Tech-Lord Tarantula."

After that, he let go of the poor man and walked down to the party. He was glad, if not awfully surprised, to see the vampiric Count Azriel among the other guests. At least he'd have somebody to talk to, right? He walked over to the bowing man and used one of his cybernetic arms to pick his friend up by the back of his collar. With a chuckle, he greeted both his friend and the Empress, "Hi, Your Excellency. I'm as happy as my pale friend that I met you, but bowing isn't really a thing I do that often."

He looked at the Count and continued, "And how are you, my fangy friend? Courtly and stiff as a board, as always."

The world of Effect was new ground for Sempra. As he left the ramp of the traditional Ubrikkian constructed sail barge that had taken him to the surface, he could not help but consider that he just might be the first Hutt appearing on the planet. Within seconds two slaves rushed out putting up two banners displaying the green symbol of the Hutts Empire flanking the ramp.
Sempra looked around and recognized a lot of wealth and high standards embedded in the Capitals fine architecture along with other cultural displays. Rumor about this remote planet and its
promising ambitious Empress had teased him enough to make the long journey. One never knew what uses such a contact might mean in the future schemes of things.

As Sempra slithered forth he brought his usual entourage of slaves and body guards with him although they all seemed a bit off here, some might say exotic, and others would say the group was a foul stain on this carpet of party of crowns.
Entering the palace and the hall of festivities a pale looking human albino slave stepped forth and
whispered instructions to the announcer.

"Announcing his lordship, esteemed Elder, acting councilor of the Besadii clan, Ruler of Sriluur, keeper of the Archon tradition, Supreme Mogul and restorer of the Hutt Empire. The wise Sempra Besadii Dhakun.”

With that Sempra inclined his large head toward [member="Nimue Stormson"].

” It pleases me to be here and it shalth be rewarding to experience your wealth most honorable, Empress of Effect.” his dark voice resonating throughout the grand hall.

He then moved inwards, giving nods to those around him who he had been informed were other guests of note in the palace before his entourage had found a single seat more or less adjusted to fit a hutt.

"Her Grace, Cecily of House Demici, First of Her Name, Countess of Onderon"

There was a flourish of trumpets before a twinkling vision of white appeared under the archway. Cecily was adorned in a heavy ball gown of shimmering white silk, richly embroidered with a variety of twinkling gems that seemed to capture and reflect the stars themselves. Her golden tresses were tightly wound about her star burst tiara set with matching gems. She did not powder her naturally milky white skin, but seemed to have been rubbed with stardust as even her skin gave off a faint glow in this light. She was a star incarnate this evening and she intended to shine.

She was flanked this evening by seven handmaidens, each wearing a very pale gown in the colors of the rainbow, to her immediate right was Ruby who was wearing a soft pink dress. Behind her and to her left were Felicity in pale orange, Amily in pale yellow, and Ivy in pale green. Behind her and to her right were Harminy in pale blue, Aubiry in pale indigo and Melidy in pale violet. Ruby was holding tightly to her mistress' right hand as if to escort her, but the other six were carrying a small silver chest.

"Your Majesty," Cecily bowed her head respectfully and her handmaidens fell into curtsey, "I present to you this gift as a token of our appreciation for your generous hospitality." As she spoke her handmaidens brought the chest forward and placed it at the feet of the Empress. Inside were several jewels from Cecily's personal treasury on Onderon. The chest was light and the jewels were not all grand, but their quality was immaculate.

A final bow was given to the Empress before Cecily turned and found her place among the other...'royals.'

And so the first of the guests had arrived. Nimue of course leaned foward to some of the newer faces that had come to her grand galla. But the first one she'd seen was, of course, [member="Solan Charr"] . She only gave him a slight nod and smile, having seen his name among those invited via request. She figured he just couldn't stay away from a good party or even her; especially given the unusual connection they now shared. Then came the arrival of the count of Serenno, [member="Azriel Zadimus"] . The rather pale looking man had been a new face to the Empress, one that made her tilt her head a bit as she exmained him. Usually people with such skin coloring on her word were either sick or dead. The other races of the galaxy still continued to suprise her. Eve more so at the arrival of one [member="Lord Tarantula"] . Many had gasped at the sight of his large mechanical arms, something that made Nime's hand go over her heart for a moment. Human he was but he almost struck her as something else given his "added features". However he did seem the rude sort when he so focefully announced himself and then established that he wasn't the type to bow.
A slight sneer on the Empress' face as she said "Perhaps not where you are from. But while a guest in my palace and on my planet, you should think to abide by the rules."
Next had come the Regent of Serenno, [member="Cecily de Demici"] . Another noble from the same planet as the Count. An interesting development had arisen, one that perked Nimue's eyebrow as she looked between both of them. Her attention was more more on the Regent herself, how elegantly dressed she was. Something Nimue could relate and respect given her own choice of wardrobe for such occasions. Even with all the handmaidens behind her Nimue could see this woman had the same sense of authority she herself tended to exhuberate. And then came her gifts of jewels, something that made Nimue give a bemused look. Not grand but obviously of some whealth. And this had been a first where someone offered such amazing gifts to her.
The empress felt the need to stand before bowing her head and saying "Such gracious gifts, Lady Demici. Effekt humbly accepts." before sitting back in her chair and adding "We must talk more later. I wish to exchange notes with you. Especially on such an amazing wardrobe."
And then, soon after, came the arrival of a true suprise. The large slug-like creature that came in with a grad entourage of slaves and guards. His annoucement had come only after Nimue and the other people of Effekt, unfmiliar with Hutts, could finally see this grand leader, [member="Sempra the Hutt"] for themselves. She leaned back as he slithered over, Nimue unsure if she was astonished or disgusted by his apperance. At least he spoke proper english. When he finished she bowed her head towards him before holding back a laugh; more out of how excited she was to be meeting an infamous Hutt finally.
"And Effekt is honored to have you here, grand Hutt Sempra. You simply must tell me of your....experiences as a Hutt."

Lord Tarantula

An Arachnid, not a Cephalopod
Kyale looked at the Empress with a strange expression. Bowing was not something he did, not because of disrespect or anything, but rather because his cybernetics could not be messed with right now, after his little fight on Blackrow Terminal... And the motion of a full bow would damage important parts of his neural network... Such as the ones he needed to keep himself from asphyxiating.

He hadn't explained that, had he? He always forgot to explain important things. Occupational hazard of being a guy who works with machines and not people, Tarantula rationalized to himself. He replied, still with the same expression of quizzical confusion, "I apologize, but not bowing right now is a matter of not damaging internal cybernetics that are keeping my lungs working. Very easy to give myself coronary failure or something if I move the wrong way, at the moment. So, I'm a little bit sorry, but not sorry enough to stop breathing."

Of course, it was possible that he'd just made the whole situation worse by sounding like an nerf herder while he rationalized his... sounding like an nerf herder, but that was just how Lord Tarantula was. People judged him for his cybernetics, not his manners. In the Techno Union, it was always better to put money (or crazy cyborg parts) where your mouth was, but politics everywhere else were... political.

Oh, there was a Hutt and another Serenno here, now? Kyale recognized Sempra, the Hutt Cartel's Archon. He was pretty subdued, as Hutts went, and he had about as much of the cyborg's respect as any Hutt could have. The Serenno lady, however, was a little bit of a different story. He supposed that the whole 'rightful regent' bit had been a setup for something. It was probable that it was the start of a gambit to gain some kind of assistance. Of course, the Lord Tarantula was going to sit back and watch, as well as help the Count if he could. What were politics, after all, if not entertaining to watch?

Sempra heaved himself upon the chair, Heavy golden chains rattling as they clunked together around his broad chest.
He accepted a chalice of wine from a servant and smelled it before he tasted the content. Mean while his reptilian eyes searched the room taking note of those present. The cyborg seemed to disregard him more then the others. Even though Sempra loathed such behaviour against himself or any of his peers he had learnt that the galaxy had forgotten how to tremble before the might of the hutts. The mechanical man known as [member="Lord Tarantula"] seemed to be no exception.

His hostess, Empress [member="Nimue Stormson"] seemed at least to be excused out of ignorance. Also a common trait but still something that was understandable.

"I dare call it an odd question Empress." he replied her with a twisted smile.

"My experience as a Hutt is most likely as foreign to you as being human is to my own kind. Still I understand your curiosity and if possible I will try to elaborate on the matter." he stated and straightened himself, towering a good two and a half meters, from belly to head, as if clearing his mind before beginning.

"I originate from the Hutt Home world of Nal Hutta, Empress. A world where beauty is meassured in deadly swamps and grand Palaces of old. Nal Hutta has served us for millenias although during times of great conflict many hutts have left our home world to populate other areas of the galaxy."

"I myself found a new home on the planet of Sriluur where I have taken seat in the White Palace, once constructed under the supervision of the legendary Hutt Emperor Kossak the hutt." Sempra took a short pause as if everyone needed to hold their breaths for him mentioning such an, to him, important historical figure. Noticing that most perhaps did not recognise the name he continued sooner then he had planned for.

"Upon Sriluur I enjoy the rights as a ruler of the native weequay tribe who formerly owed fealty to no one." Sempra nodded toward one of the guards in the entourage who bowed his head. in response.

"Currently Nal Hutta lacks it former role as the binding force for all hutts and I have carved a haven for those who disagree with its passive rule. One could claim I am a hutt representative in that area of space for a more active expansionist profile of our culture." he explained and opened his palms in a helpless gesture.

"Now, I have introduced myself more properly. But do ask if your inquiry about myself as a Hutt is not content. I am an open book to the open minded." he finished with a slight raise of his glass.

[member="Sempra the Hutt"] [member="Lord Tarantula"] [member="Nimue Stormson"] [member="Cecily de Demici"] [member="Azriel Zadimus"]

Solan stood nearby but he would let Nimue meet her guests of new before he even tried to talk to her. What irritated him was the very nature and allegiance of one of the men. OR rather one of the slugs. A Hutt was among the most vile things in the world and this one he knew due to his connection with Aurora's profits as well as his work with his Cartel. Solan always kept an eye on Mercenary contracts of old and one group he had sworn he would never joined popped up on the radar as of recent times. He would stare at the hutt for a few moments as he bristled with the thoughts of what he wanted to do to the space slug.

His hands curled up behind him as he stared but he knew that doing anything against the hutt would only disgrace his friend and her word. So he remained where he was and looked at the two men from Serenno. Curious men he had never seen before in the galactic theater. He was curious about them and so he turned his head to the last guest who was from the Republic. He smiled as he tipped his head to her, having met her during the whole senate fiasco that he had helped dissolve and take out.

Azriel's eyes widened a little when [member="Lord Tarantula"]'s cybernetic arm picked him up and looked at his friend or at least the first individual he had held a decent conversation with since his release from the stasis booth on his ship. "I see your as blunt and loudmouthed as ever." He replied before giving Tarantula a smile that showed his fangs come down and then go back to looking relatively normal, a subtle threat if there ever was one. He listened to Tarantula explain his reasoning to Empress [member="Nimue Stormson"] before he gave Tarantula's back a slight hit. "My apologies Your majesty but what my cybernetic friend here lacks in respectfulness and humility, he tries to make up in rationality." He then hoped to explain to the esteemed Empress of Effekt and hopefully keep his blunt friend out of Effekts prison or the wrath of an Empress.
Hearing that there was another noble from Serenno piqued the pale mans interest immensely, not to mention that she was referred to as the rightful-ruler of Serenno made it even more interesting. 'Has Serenno really changed that much?' He thought before he allowed the woman her time in the Empresses attention before he gestured for Tarantula to perhaps regale himself of the free food and drink, has he then grabbed a glass of water from a nearby waiter walking passed him.
The hutt however earned a nearly inaudible growl that perhaps only Tarantula could hear as he was next to him, the growl would be more reminiscent of a mix between a tigers and a wolfs growls. Azriel never really liked the hutts and given that there was a crew of Hutt cartel scavengers that released him from his stasis Booth prison he liked them even less, and yes he knew that it was a little ironic but the scavengers intent with his ship was also a factor.
He walked slowly and respectfully towards [member="Cecily de Demici"] and bowed to her in the same manner all Serenno nobles greeted one another. "Greetings Queen Cecily, My name is count Azriel Zadimus of the Zadimus House of Serenno. I assume that you are of the Demici family of nobles from Serenno?" He said as he spoke in a respectful manner and tone, even his body language, what little he showed, was one of respect. "Please excuse my forwardness Lady Cecily but I have been... Away from Serenno for a while now and I wasn't aware that Serenno had chosen among the counts and countesses who would be the "Ruler" as it were. If that is so what is this about the rightful ruler part in your introduction?" He was well aware that he looked like a very pale hybrid between a human and a Sephi, which was also the reason for his slightly pointed ears.

[member="Solan Charr"] [member="Sempra the Hutt"]

The Consular-Class Cruiser landed on the surface of Effekt. The planet did not impress William Kerkov as he walked down the ramp accompanied by 5 of his elite bodyguards. Each were painted jet black in Modified Terminus Marine Armor with grey markings. They intended to create fear, and Kerkov believed they did.

Kerkov was dressed for the occasion, dress white uniform. Actually, he always wore his dress whites all the time, making sure if he ever was defeating an enemy, or himself being defeated. He was always ready to honor himself or others in what he dressed. The Uniform was covered in ribbons and medals of past campaigns and operations, making him look like a dictator of some small moon. But he had to look formal for this event, it was an event for the noble and prosperous something he was not.

The soldiers marched in unison with Kerkov's steps until they reached the hall. They broke off and circled back to the ship, in case they were needed later of course. As he entered the announcer announced,

"Announcing Fleet Admiral of the Open Circle Armada, William Kerkov."

The hall was quite breath taking and Kerkov intended to tell that to [member="Nimue Stormson"], once he found her.

It was perhaps odd for lucien to have been let through the door after all his claims to nobility died with the fringe. officially at least, he had however made a few friends in his time and such friends had awarded him a certain gravitas. He knew of [member="Nimue Stormson"] through mutual professional acquaintances, she had been a rising star in the fringe. He was glad to see the confederations demise hadn't dampened her ambition or limited her power. Unlike her lucien hadn't stuck around to rule his former holdings, it was much too much trouble. He had therefore yielded control back to the people. Though Zaadja decided on a democracy Skye had elected an empress ,after some interference from Lucien, It was with this empress that Lucien had come.

"Now announcing Lady Kharies Krisklar, Mother of the clans of Skye and ruler of the S'kytri and accompanying her Lord Lucien Cordel Lord Mayor of the city of wings and retired High councilor"

Lucien rolled his eyes, he was bored of playing second fiddle to such a vapid woman. He supposed that was the price he paid for ruling by proxy. The force could be such a wonderful thing. Lucien had brought the empress for two reasons firstly to provide him with foundation and second to gain some assistance with keeping her rule productive. After all mind control could only do so much. Both had dressed in their finest with the empress sporting a veil to preserve her modesty in perpetual mourning, the fact it hide her glazed over expression was entirely circumstantial.

With a polite nod to the announcer Lucien escorted the empress down toward the imperial throne of Effekt. Kharies moved slowly in a notably sluggish manner, she was very old after all. As they progressed along lucien noted a familiar face in [member="Solan Charr"], he made a mental note to speak with him later, as well as many entirely unfamiliar faces. He came before Empress Stormson with a Bow. The empress acompanying him remained standing "Majesty It is polite to bow" He said with overdone sweetness to his empress "Ofcourse" Kharies replied slowly before bowing in turn. Lucien then turned to Nimue "I apologize on Lady Krisklars behalf, her advancing age occasionally causes her to suffer mental lapses, I will go and get her sat down ... perhaps if your grace has time you will indulge me in a private audience when convenient"

With that lucien moved away again taking Kharies with him and depositing her in an unassuming corner "It's not safe for you to move Majesty, so stay sat here to wait for your husband who will be with you soon , don't speak to anyone just think on your husband" Lucien whispered. Kharies had been widowed an age ago but her mind was easy to trick and the illusion of his voice was easy to conjure such was the carrot to lucien's mental stick. Having safely deposited the empress lucien went in search of red wine.

While he awaited [member="Cecily de Demici"]'s response to his question, he glanced around the room as illustrious as it was. [member="Lord Tarantula"] had yet to make a move of note and The esteemed host Epress [member="Nimue Stormson"] didn't seem to have taken much of note from [member="Sempra the Hutt"]'s rather self serving little history lesson. In one of the corners he noticed [member="Solan Charr"] for some reason he didn't seem that interested in the other guests besides the seeming magnanimous hostess of this event at least.
The last two guests an Admiral [member="William Kerkov"] of a fleet he didn't know, the man had a disciplined air around him, something Azriel found a little lacking in the general populations of the galaxy. The second arrived with a woman who to be quite honest seemed a little like she was in a haze. The man however, a Lord mayor [member="Lucien Cordel"], had an air of force around him as if he exerted a sort of control over the woman and Azriel felt a cold shiver run down his spine. This man definitely could use the force but on such a level above Azriel that he felt as small as an ant beside him, and he already felt small given the power coming from the Empress herself though this man was more powerful than her.
"Interesting..." Azriel half muttered as he grew a small smirk at the collection of powerhouses in the galaxy that were gathering to the esteemed empress of Effekt.

Cecily was taken aback by the sudden approach of the... uh Count, but always the lady she extended her hand to him and smiled, bowing a little in respect. "Your Grace," she began gingerly, "Yes, I am the Head of House Demici... Regent House of Serenno until my father was deposed by the Mandolorian favorites."

"I am unfamiliar with House Zadimus, is it one of the lesser houses?" Cecily did not mean to be rude, but Serenno had a very stringent hierarchical structure with the Regent Count or Countess at the top tier, below them were the six Great Houses and below them were the lesser houses and on and on it went until you found yourself among the common folk.

@[member='Azriel Zadimus'],

Sempra was, even by hutt standards, rather good with reading people. He had spoken before the throne of the Empress. If she was intrigued she hid it very well.

Looking around the room he felt nothing but recentment. Not an unusaul trait however and the hutt knew the signs all to well. These people did not recognize him for what he was.

He inclined his head toward the Imperial throne and backed off to find his seat anew.

Calling for food and drinks he decided the evening would at least be a good opportunity to watch, listen and learn about the alien culture of Effect. As well as taking note of some of the galaxies noble houses.

The game table might not be set in his favour, but he still sensed the power of appearance was important here. He would remain a guest at the palace and not risk offending his hostess.

Azriel chuckled lightly at [member="Cecily de Demici"]'s question. "I will not lie to you countess but me and my family was well on our way to become the seventh great family... However that was a decade before the clone wars of old broke out." He spoke calmly and politely but he paused to let that sink into her mind before he explained it fully. "I was the victim of a rather vicious prank which placed me into a stasis booth which I recently got out of." He then finished and his pale blue eyes gazed into Cevily's eyes to see how she'd react to this knowledge. "I am somewhat of an exile myself from Serenno as all the power my family had has all but shriveled into a sizable bank account I had hidden away... Seems I was right in choosing the interest rate." He then said chuckling a little at his own joke before he took a sip from the class of water he had in his hand.

[member="Sempra the Hutt"] [member="William Kerkov"] [member="Lucien Cordel"] [member="Lord Tarantula"] [member="Solan Charr"] [member="Nimue Stormson"]

Lucien quite quickly found the wine with a relative ease. [member="Nimue Stormson"] had certainly laid on a good spread. Glass in hand he only needed to find some good company, he certainly wasn't going to suffer through the ramblings of his evening companion ... he needed to make some friends but Pride wouldn't let him go begging for them. No people came to him he didn't go to them. He was saved however by the sight of [member="Solan Charr"] the two had spoke before ... they could speak again and lucien could initiate without hurting his pride.

"Fancy seeing you here Solan" He chuckled as he moved into place next to Solan "Do you know anyone here?"

Lucien knew very few He use to be Empress Stormson's boss he supposed but he hadn't been that for a long time and they were only professional acquaintances. The room was a sea of nobility both high and low. A few stood out from the rabble though, a man with piercing eyes a count [member="Azriel Zadimus"] if he had heard right and a woman [member="Cecily de Demici"] ... countess of the same place it seemed, how novel secretly Lucien hoped there would be a fight ... it wasn't a true party until wine was thrown.

[member="Lucien Cordel"]

Solan smiled and nodded, glancing about the room. "Lets see, there is the hostess of our little get together. Beautiful woman as she is but i do believe she has a love already so both of us are out of luck there. That and shes what i would consider a better friend than most anyways so yes. Lets see... that woman." He pointed to [member="Cecily de Demici"]. "Shes a senator, helped save her spine along with some others a few weeks ago, another beautiful woman but it seemed all politicians were these days. Then the Hutt..." He pointed to [member="Sempra the Hutt"]. "Is the last one i am acquianted with past yourself Lucien... a pleasure seeing you as that is. His name is Sempra if i remember right, The second highest stock holder in Aurora Industries... i do need to talk to him another time in getting our percentages evened out. And how about you Lucien, do you recognize anyone?"

Lucien chuckled "I used to be our hosts boss, It was a long time ago though back when I still sat on the now defunct fringe high council ... Hardly know her though" He sighed and looked around the faces of the galactic elite had changed when he wasn't looking "No" Came his simple answer "The player in the galactic game changed when I wasn't looking, it's all rather traumatic" He smirked and drank wine, wine helped ... wine didn't judge him for being out of the loop. "I want to get to know a few of them though, there is a man over there very piercing eyes he seems interesting, I see bad things arising between him and our lady senator" He turned to Solan to whisper in his ear "They both claim authority over Serenno, I can see it becoming quite the scandal"
