A Series Of Unfortunate Events

Time past on and Kitty would slowly wake to the comfort of petting. She didn't bother registering who was doing the petting and simply enjoyed it as she let out a quiet purr. Her mind slowly came to and suddenly snapped awake standing on all fours remembering all that had happened. She was surprised to find [member="Draco Vereen"] there with her. How come she wasn't dead? She had just attacked him. In any case her first reaction was to apologize. "I'm so sorry, I tried to get away so I didn't attack you but I didn't go far enough. I didn't have control and I" Kitty was saying before she realized he might not know who she was and might be freaking out at a large talking cat. "Right it's me Kitty." The large cat put her head down and her paws over the top of her in embarrassment when she realized she hadn't given him her name before. She got back up to try and explain herself better not knowing he already knew. "I was the one you rescued from the wreck along with the Hapan. I flipped out when you recited a part of the jedi code to me and ran off. I'm a shape shifter, a Felacatian to be specific. We shift into what you see now and go into a rage when we get stressed. I'm so sorry for attacking you."

I nodded as the big cat spoke. "Yeah, I know. I am not really sure how I know, or knew, but I did. Just something in the back of my mind." I told her, trying to explain the feeling I had had. It was a first for me, never before had I had some form of uncanny revelation about someone like that. Some unknowable information struck me all of a sudden. "And don't worry about it. I thought it was adorable." I told her as I stood up and dusted myself off. "Its gotta be the first time I have ever woken a one ton cat up and it purred at me. I do have to ask though, What now? We are still stuck out here with nothing, and nowhere to go." I told her. Our situation no less bleak then it had been before her transformation. In fact it may be worse know. With half our bacta used, several of my slugs, and her in her current state, we were in for some trouble if we couldn't figure something out soon.

Kitty listened to [member="Draco Vereen"] with curiosity. However he knew it was her she was just glad he knew. Otherwise she could be one dead kitty right now. Kitty would have blushed under her fur if she could at Draco's mention of her purring. She blamed the tranq for that reaction. He then would go on to ask about what the heck they were suppose to do. "I don't know." Kitty replied. "I'm just as lost as you are. I actually kinda thought you were less lost than me considering your the one who rescued me and that Hapan. You even managed to tranq me. I guess if it comes to it we can take up shelter in the wreckage and wait for the electronics again. Which reminds me, I'll be right back." With that Kitty headed back into the forest to the spot where she had shifted and came back with a lightsaber in her mouth. She walked up to Draco and dropped it at his feet. "Could you hold this for me? I really don't want to taste metal carrying it around all day."

I watched as Kitty basically blushed in embarrassment, before she ran off and returned with a lightsaber, asking me to hold on to it. “Sure no problem, I’ll hold onto it. I have a question though, how long does it take for you to turn back into your normal self?” I asked, seriously wondering how we were going to feed her in this state. That would be difficult, as most animals her size required quite a lot of food and we were already strapped for supplies.

It could be a while before we would be able to get a communication system working again, and I only had two or three tranq shots left. I did take the courtesy to load all of them into my pistol though. Didn’t want to accidently shoot her with something that could hurt her. “If you don’t mind my asking, how come the Jedi Code stressed you out?”

"Thank you, and I don't know, its rather random. All I know is I have to be pretty relaxed." Kitty answered before taking a quick look around at her surroundings. "And I don't think I'm going to be able to relax at all." [member="Draco Vereen"] then inquired as to why she stressed out over his quote of the jedi code. "I was already really stressed. I mean we just crashed, we're stranded, you blew me out of the wreckage and then reminded me of a code I despise. I just strongly disagree with the jedi and their cult like obsession with serving others and ignoring themselves. Don't get me wrong though the sith are just as bad if not worse. They are the extreme opposite but at least the jedi don't mindlessly kill people." Kitty was telling the truth about how she felt on all it but she was cleverly constructing the way she said it so that a lie later on would be more believable. She didn't like people knowing she was a sith as she didn't want it to get in the way of what they thought of her. She didn't consider herself like any of the other sith.

Kitty noticed Draco rearranging his tranqs. "Don't worry I'm not going to go berserk again, it only happens once the moment I shift." Kitty then turned her attention to the droid and the Gran. "What are we going to do about them?" She asked. The Gran seemed a little dysfunctional to her, but who was she to judge considering she just attacked them.

“I’d rather be safe than be sorry. Besides the only other rounds I have all hurt. A lot. And yeah, there is a reason I’m no Jedi and I’m no Sith. Stick to the path of you and yours. Protect others, sure, but not at the cost of those you care for.” I said, kind of smiling about the whole situation. It was funny. Here we were stranded out on the outer rim, a commando and a feline, talking to each other. That would be a sight to see if there was anyone around who would remember it. “Well, I have no idea when or if we can get the electronics to work. How about you go hunt us down something to eat, and I will get camp set up. I can make a pretty decent shelter with all this wreckage, maybe a fire, and maybe make a decent spear or a bow so you don’t have to do all the hunting.” I laughed a little there. All the bows and arrows in the galaxy weren’t going to be as good as her at hunting from what I could tell.

Kitty found it curious [member="Draco Vereen"] didn't ask why she had a lightsaber. Oh well one less thing to bother her. Draco then suggested she go hunting which kinda made her a little nervous. She felt bad for being nervous to since she was the best equipped for the job by far. Evolution had actually bred her to be a deadly solo hunter. "Alright I'm at a bit of a disadvantage here though. I don't know this planet and what to avoid. I also have no idea how many creatures here are bigger than me, for all I know they could all be bigger than me. I guess there is only one way to find out. My name is Kitty by the way." Kitty said realizing they hadn't exchanged names. Once she got his she would step into the forest with trepidation.

Carefully Kitty stalked through the forest her ears standing on end listening to every sound. Her nose sniffed the area searching for any scent that wasn't flora. It didn't take her long to discover the strong smell of death and a fresh kill. There was a lot of it too it must be a very large creature that was killed. The large cat decided to go investigate and see is she couldn't steal part of the kill. She was not expecting to run into two humans and two Rancors battling it out not far away. She could understand why the two humans weren't afraid they probably didn't even register to the two giants. Kitty on the other hand was large enough to make a good snack. She wasn't worried either though, out running them would be laughably easy. Approaching the two humans the one ton cat decided to speak up so they didn't think she was some mindless predator out to make them her meal, it wasn't like she was running at them. "Did you two crash too and why the heck are you sticking around with those other two fighting it out?" Kitty asked referencing the two fighting Rancors.

Dair's head spun to the cat person and his eyebrows went up. He hadn't felt her coming. He couldn't sense her now. Dair felt practically naked without the force, inside it felt warm and muggy without the cool presence of his force aura. Dair looked to [member="mark sage"], then the rancors.

"Well...uh, we just got this far from them..." Dair paused for a moment then nodded. "Yeah, sorry. Yeah, we crashed. Uh, is there a reason to not go into the woods? This clearing seems a bit...full."

By then, things had begun to get progressively stranger and stranger. A sentient cat... thing, had now found the two jedi knights to be standing in the clearing discussing their situation and watching the titanic predators duke it out. Mark put in a word or two, allowing the older of the two padawans to explain. Mark was paying more attention to the violent, yet almost majestic fight going on in the clearing ahead.
The rancor that had chased Mark here was currently slamming the other into a tree and seemed to be winning for the time being. But now, it was raking the other rancor across the ground toward them.
"We can discuss our situation in a safer place. I think now is our ticket to get out." Mark said. "Go!"
And so, Mark charged away into the forest, hoping the others were close behind.

Conversation was short. A few words were exchanged and Kitty didn't even get to say anything in return before one of the two hand bolted into the forest. "Nope it's fine." Kitty said to [member="Dair Cotarin"] before bolting into the forest after [member="Mark Sage"]. "Hey follow me." She would say to him before leading the two of them to [member="Draco Vereen"]. "Hey ummm person I forgot the name to. Wait did you ever tell me your name?" Kitty would ask.
