A vacation to Rhen Var

A old sith ruin, it was funny how much she visited the ruins of those she hated with a fire, but that irony is what makes such a experience enlightening. Alexandra walked among the ruins, looking over them and studying the walls that held the story of its occupant before the Sith's death, it was that of quite an interesting story, but not one he hasnt heard before. "Let see what else this tomb has to offer, why dont we?" She said to herself while walking among the ruins further into them.

(Couldnt think, sorry for the crappy start)

Connor Harrison was falling into darkness.

The sleet and crisp wind battered his body as he fell downwards from the snow-capped mountain above the mighty Citadel.

Catching his body on a soft outcrop of snow, it broke his fall with a hard crunch, and the rock below him crumbled, letting his body slide down the steep incline to the frozen lake below.

Rocks crashed around him, fresh from the fall, and split the ice with a dull crack and groan.

His body was battered and broken, and the ice split up around him, sending him into the icy water and into a sensation to one that felt like a thousand needles had struck him at once.

Connor's eyes snapped open.

His knees were up to his chest and his arms held a long brown cloak wrapped tightly around his body. He was sat on the long stairway of the Citadel below a large sculpture of what looked like Jedi Master Ulic Qel-Droma, but he wasn't sure. The sun bore down on the barren ice planet but it was still cold; no life form resided on Rhen Var, not since the days of Galactic Empire in the Civil War under Emperor Palpatine.

It was here that Connor has lost his connection to the Force on the eve of his progression up the Jedi Order. He looked up under his hooded cloak at the mountain beside him; the very mountain where his life had nearly ended. He had no memory of what happened, try as he might, but the last thing he remembered was the world spinning as he fell.

There was nothing to fear on a simple test of his agility and control of the Force in a harsh environment as this, but by going against his Master's wishes he had nearly died that day. His connection to the Force had been ripped away from him and he couldn't remember how, why or by what.

A cold wind blew around him, sending a chill through his body, but Connor was alone in the galaxy and didn't feel the bite of the cold. His future was uncertain; his destiny was clouded.

His whole life had spiralled into darkness after that fateful day on Rhen Var, and even now on a planet rich with Jedi history, he felt nothing. He looked back down at the snow beneath his brown boots. He knew the turning point was near.

He wasn't sure if it was the cold wind that had brought the tear to run down his cheek or not.

Another snowy planet... like Hoth.

Elvira had known that this icy cold planet had a temple, but she had never known that it would have been this... grand. It was a massive temple with huge sculptures and statues. Elvira had been exploring this place for hours, yet everything still seemed new to her. She blinked though as she entered a series of steps... and saw a man sitting at the bottom. She had no idea who he was or where he came from, but a sudden sweep of concern came over her. Elvira's eyes widened as she raced down to him, "Sir," she questioned beneath her green cloak, "Are you alright?"

He seemed cold. Very cold, and she could see that recently he ha cried. There was just something in his eyes that let her know that. Elvira bent down to his level. She blinked, he had not replied the first time. So she asked again, "Sir, are you alright?"

From years on the Corusant streets, the teenager had learned not to trust strangers. However, seeing this stranger had perked both her nicer side and her curiosity up. She blinked at him, hoping for a response this time.

It proved how distant he was, because he did not detect the girl through the Force at all. He was in another world it seemed. The first time she called out, it was like a whistle in the wind.

Her boots crunching down the stairs him alerted him, but still he didn't respond. He should have been more alert; who knows what she wanted. As she came down to his level, her voice as soft as the snow snapping him back to the planet, away from his own head.

He looked up at her, and was taken away by how pretty she was; yet he could sense she was...lost? Looking for something, or someone? Why would a girl such as her be at the Citadel alone? He stood and looked down at her.

"I'm fine. It's not your concern what's wrong with me."

He held his cloak to protect himself from the cold. It wasn't harsh at present, and the sun gave off enough warmth for now, but it wouldn't be wise to be outside in a few hours.

Maybe Connor had been a little abrupt with the girl, he hadn't even asked who she was or what she was doing. But as far as he was concerned, his state of mind wasn't a nice place to be, and he didn't want to burden anyone else with his troubles. He started walking back towards the Citadel, glancing down at the girl again.

"If I were you, I'd get off this planet. It's not safe here for one such as you."

Okay, so this guy was okay... except for a serious issue with manors! Elvira grumply pulled some of her dye green hair over her face as the man got up to leave... Then he turned around to tell her that she was 'not the kind' to stay here. And by that, she could bet he thought she was too young and inexperienced.

Now that got her ticked off...

Like any other teenager, she placed her hands angrily on her hips and narrowed her eyes. "Excuse me?" She glared, "Who ever said I was too young to stay here?!" And now she crossed her arms, "I do what I want."

Elvira had developed this independent behavior on the streets. Back when she was a Jedi youngling, she also was a loner, but staying on the streets had made her ten times worse. Thank goodness her master had developed her respect and trust at a very quick rate, or he would have been in for a much rougher time...

This guy had started it off with bad terms, so now he was in for a hard time.

He had reached the top of the steps before her stubborn voice had stopped protesting. Connor looked up at the Citadel, looming over him housing untold stories and memories about Civil Wars gone by, fallen Jedi and redeemed Sith. Who knew.

He slowly rubbed his hand over his smooth jawline. Maybe something could be found inside the once active Citadel to give him some answers - maybe not. But he had nothing to lose.

And there was that girl again. Stubborn as a mule. He turned to her, the wind blew sharply across his face, and he could see her striking green hair waving in the wind. With her posture, it made her look like a poster girl for the Republic, off on a daring adventure to far reaching planets while still looking tough and resourceful.

"I never said you were too young, but thanks for clearing that up."

He turned away and rolled his eyes softly and blew some cold vapour out of his mouth.

"Nice meeting you."

Alexandra had remained deeper in the citadel while the others were outside, looking over inscriptions on the wall and the murals that remained. It was an interesting thing that these ruins provided such stories and the fact that could leave someone in them for years studying them, Alexandra did not have years though so there was no need to worry about that.

She could feel something was different though, off even about the whole place. Someone else was coming, someone else was here. She sighed and took in her right hand one of her sabers, still walking among the citadel, this time though towards the door.

Elvira's anger only grew from his stubborn reply. She clenched her gloved fists, "Wh-Who do you think you are!?" She growled and raced up the man in quite a stalking pace. "Wh-What makes you think that you ca-" Her eyes then darted elsewhere, in the distance she saw somebody else just walking out of the building. She blinked, her more innocent and younger look overtaking her. Her hand was formed into a pointed finger and had been just shooting up - it had stopped dead in her tracks. She lowered her arm, both hands falling into a clasp behind her back as she observed the mysterious character at the door ... She had a lightsaber.

Elvira childishly blinked again, "Wh-Who are you?"

Connor smiled softly and was about to engage with the girl once more, but her look changed to concern and surprise, pointing over his shoulder to the Citadel behind them. He span around following her voice, reaching down for his lightsaber in a defence action...but finding nothing on his belt.

He cursed himself; he wasn't ready to wield the weapon as yet and would probably cause more damage in his state of mind. He wasn't going to risk it, and so he had left it locked away on Coruscant in his apartment.

He noticed it was another girl, quite angelic in appearance and she was holding a lightsaber also in her hand. Connor didn't react or move, he just put his arm out to the girl behind him and ushered her to stand behind him.

"Good day to you," he shouted over, raising his other hand in a small wave.

"Good day to you as well, and as for who i am i could ask you both the same question." She walked closer to them with her saber unlit in her hand. Alexandra's eyes ran over the two infront of her, taking in their appearance and notting any weapons of any sort on them as well as the area around them. Call her paranoid but she would not like to get killed by two assassins today, though this could just be a chance meeting after all. "And why are you here?" @[member="Connor Harrison"] @[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Connor eyed the mysterious girl.

"My name is Connor Harrison. You've nothing to fear from me at least." He pulled out the young girl behind him by the arm."This one however I can't vouch for."

He held onto his cloak noticing the saber still in her hand.

"You both got names?"

Elvira growled again when Connor pulled her out from behind him, "Hey!" She silently snapped and yanked her arm away from him. She gave him a deadly glare, "And the only time you have to fear me is if you insult me..."

She then placed her gaze on the newcomer and smiled sweetly, "My name is Elvira." Her grin then turned more cocky as she crossed her arms again. The winter breeze blew the hair in front of her face away, but it seemed as if she didn't mind. "And as a Force user I'm here to see if I can teach myself a new ability while my teacher is busy."

"Does it include yelling at him?" She smiled back and clipped her saber at her side, its twin blade visible now. "My name is Alexandra, a pleasure to meet you both in this wasteland that is Rhen Var. I do hope you wont mind my presence here while you two are busy and if there is anything i can help with that would be fine to ask for." Alexandra turned and headed back into the citadel with arms crossed behind her while she walked towards the citadel, her white robes flowing behind her as she walked. @[member="Elvira Congelo"] @[member="Connor Harrison"]

Alexandra seemed to be here for some important reason; she looked to be at ease with herself, and her surroundings. Maybe she could provide answers?

"Us two?" Connor looked at Elvira, still pouting with her arms crossed, "Hey I don't even know this one, she found me." He looked into her eyes. "Look sweetheart, I've nothing against you, but I think it's best if you move on, I don't think the Citadel is a good place for someone like...you." He flashed her a brief smile, and patted her on the cheek softly.

Turning, he briefly jogged up to Alexandria, slowly observing her surroundings and walking back to the opening."Excuse me, I take it you're a Jedi, correct? Do you know much about this place? I'm trying to find answers, and you may just be able to help me."

Elvira sighed as she watched Connor (whom she was still annoyed at) race towards Alexandra. An old, familiar feeling came up inside her. Loneliness. She was always countered out, always abandoned. Alone.

... But not this time.

The rogue ran quickly to catch up with the other two. As soon as she caught up, she cut into whatever conversation. She still had questions for Connor, "Hey, what the heck makes you think you know what I can and can't do? You have no right to judge me!"

She still wanted to stay here. True to her word earlier, she was here to become stronger in the Force. She would become better at fighting than before. Given that, she was going nowhere.

Alexandra looked over her shoulder at the other woman and for a moment stopped and looked her with a calm and cold gaze, not a tinge of emotion on her face before she spoke with an equally emotionless voice. Her voice was directed at them both though her words were directed to the each of them seperately. "I am no Jedi, nor have i ever been one, but i will attest to knowing a good deal on the history of this planet and these ruins, though im sure that that there will be time after you and miss Congelo here conclude this dispute, no?" Alexandra smiled after she finished and took a seat on a chair that was set up with a nearby camp. The camp had a thermal heater, a tent, food stocks, and two powered down military grade security droids, as well as a few chairs, a table, datapads and excavation tools, and lastly two rifles, a pistol, and a Holocron on the table. It looked as if Alexandra had been living here for a few days now atleast, if not more.

Before Connor could reply, Elvira was there. He fiery personality able to thaw any place on Rhen Var it seemed! Connor frowned slightly and rubbed his jaw softly again with his hand.

"Hey just calm down, I'm not judging you. And keep it down, I'm talking to this lady."

Leaning in closer to her, he pulled her into him with her arm.

"It's all confusing Jedi business. Don't get caught up in this, it's a dangerous and deceiving religion sweetheart."

He let her go and smiled once again at Alexandria, her patience obviously that of a saint. The camp was very impressive, and he felt a surge of warmth in him that he may possibly find what he was looking for in a comfortable, safe environment on the planet and not freeze to death in the process.

"Sorry. Is all this yours? How long have you been here...what ARE you doing here anyway?"

@[member="Elvira Congelo"] @[member="Alexandra Cinthra"]

At the mention of the Jedi, Elvira's mood only got worse. The Jedi were once her order in life... then they had rejected and ignored her. They had treated her like nothing, even as a youngling. The other younglings were no better if they weren't worse. It had driven Elvira to the point of leaving the Order.

She still talked to Connor, "About the Jedi... I should know..." By then they had entered a nice, warm camp. Elvira felt slightly relieved that there was some place to keep warm. She had borrowed a ship from her master, but apparently the heating system was broken or something... Meanwhile, this Alexandra seemed nice enough, perhaps she could help her figure out a way to learn a new Force power here. However, as of now she stepped back, committing another kind act for Connor and allowing him to finish his business with her first.

"How long have i been here, hmm... seven or eight days at least... maybe more i lose alot of time when im busy studying ruins like these, such a beautiful sight that they are dont you agree? As for why im here, its quite obvious isnt it? There is history all around us, the secrets and lives of those long dead held in the very walls they once occupied. Just imagine who might have entered these confines, the masters, emperors, and all the others that left their mark. Like for instance, the Jedi Master Ulic Qel-droma, a man that visited this planet could have used the very room we are standing in for training or to live." She smiled as she spoke, looking around the vast main chamber they stood in, to her this was a true beauty, a place where history and conflict come together to create a ruin of immense glory.

Listening to her speak, she sounded as if she was on a mission of her own. Connor slowly crunched over flakes of snow under his feet as he observed the security droids and inspected the blaster pistol on the table. He held it in his hand, looking it over.

"Tell me. Is there any presence here around this place that you're aware of? I...I would by lying if I said I was a Jedi but..." Connor placed the pistol down and turned, leaning on the table,"...I was once. Now, I'm not so sure anymore. I just need to know what is so special about this place and it's history."

The chamber inside the Citadel itself seemed to reach into the spires forever, but the light from outside streaked through above them, flakes of snow and ice casually drifting around them. He looked over at Elvira.

"So what's your story? How come you're out here on your own? Trying to make a way for yourself as a grave digger or something? Looking for lost Jedi treasures?" He smiled thinly.
