A vacation to Rhen Var

Elvira sighed at Connor's question, hadn't she told him already? She leaned against the table as well and gazed into the citadel. She decided to just tell Connor again, "Well, hopefully I can learn a new Force ability around here." More answers further entered her mind, she would have told him about how she was once a Jedi youngling and about how she had learned to fend for herself on the streets. However, her old walls and the life-lesson of not trusting people was too strong. So that first sentence was where she had ended. She further added onto that though at the last moment, "I don't care of the ability is light side or dark, as long as it's strong enough for me..."

Elvira was currently the apprentice of a dark sider, so learning the Dark Side was inevitable. However, Elvira still would not completely turn to darkness. She would not return to the Jedi ever again, and she would not limit herself to the light. She did have strong morals and beliefs on justice though, and she would not use her powers for pure evil. Despite this, she once again was not afraid for if she would have to use the Dark Side, as long as she was using it for the right reasons. She would use Force lightning, Force crush, she really didn't care. As long as she wasn't evil. So what she said was true, she really didn't care what side the ability was on... as long as she just liked it.

He just looked at Elvira. She was easily more than meets the eye but she wasn't up for saying. Not yet anyway. A challenge! Connor liked that.

Nodding softly, he pursed his lips and thought of his own motivations compared to hers. He was only her to seek out any answers that explained what Rhen Var had to do with his stripping of Force knowledge and control. Once he had found that reason, maybe he could start to develop his power once more for his own reasons. Not to fight for the side of the Jedi, maybe not for the side of the Sith, but to be the man he was supposed to be and so near to being until that fateful day.

He watched Alexandria again; she certainly seemed to be in control, more than anyone else here.

Looking over at the green haired girl again, Connor extended his hand slightly from the table and decided to have some fun, and to see how severe his connection was...

Gently, he emitted a Force Push towards her.

Alexandra just watched for a few moments before pulling a MRE ration out of a nearby bag, on planets like this cooking wasnt always a great thing and she needed the food anyways to function in this enviroment. The Rations were obviously of older likeness, where most would have more advanced containers, these were cheap things that she could buy in bulk. And seeing as she didnt have much more credits than she made, they were necessary over the more advanced and better tasting rations. She did speak though after opening it and eating the grey mush inside with a utensil that was also in the bag, her words found between bites. "You two want some?" She watched as @[member="Connor Harrison"] extended his hand and crossed one foot on top of her other thigh and waited for the girl, this @[member="Elvira Congelo"] to act.

Connor didn't reply for several seconds, but he lifted his hand towards her. Elvira's eyes narrowed when she could tell what he wanted to do. Elvira glared at him then attempted to shift to the side, but not before a small Force push sent her hands off the table and her hair flying. It forced her several feet back, but it was too weak to send her on the ground. Elvira growled at him, "Be thankful you didn't shove me into the snow or I would shove you off a cliff..."

Then Elvira heard Alexandra mention food. Elvira blinked at her, once again wondering if this was a trap. Everybody- well, mostly everybody was being too nice to her recently. She couldn't help but wonder why... She looked at the food for a moment and then shrugged, "I-I have my own. -But thank you!" The way she spoke proved that Elvira had refused her offer out of self-protection and that she didn't mean to be rude; the 'thank you' being meant to cover it up. Once again, much more was to be told behind the teen's behavior, but she would not speak it. She reached into one of the patches of her belt and took a stick of mush out of her. She munched on it silently, it didn't taste that good but she had learned to be thankful for whatever food she could get her hands on long ago. Meanwhile, her gaze once again had narrowed onto Connor. She just kept glaring at him...

He let out a little gasp of amusement and surprise at the result of his actions, mainly due to the fact there was still something buried inside him, and that was enough to give him a boost. He clenched his hands into a fist, as if to keep the connection inside, and relaxed, smiling at a furious looking Elvira.

Now, at the mention of food, he would by lying if he was polite to refuse any. He hadn't eaten in nearly a day now through travelling and hiding out at the Citadel, so this was a welcome invite. He

"If you have a small portion, I would be grateful for just a little, thank you Alexandria. I will reimburse you once we leave the planet."

He walked over to her, taking a chair and sitting himself on it. He turned to look over to Elvira, inclining with his head for her to join them.

"Hey," he tried to stifle a small laugh, "I'm sorry about that, really. I didn't think...I had it in me, let's just say." He offered her a smile and held up his hands in mock surrender. "You're rather cute when you're grouchy."

He smiled to himself and turned back, looking at Alexandria and winking at her quickly.

Alexandra raised a brow at the wink, studying the man for a moment before reaching down in her bag in pulling out another packet, which she half tossed, half pelted at the man. "Dont mind the taste, or paying for it, they are cheap after all so its not like its a major loss over having one less." She went back to eating and rolled her shoulders, she forgot to sleep last night and was definitely feeling the effects now.

(Sorry for the short post, have to go.

Elvira's gaze stayed on Connor. It was exactly the same as before except that now her cheeks were red.

She then looked back at Alexandra who was telling Connor about the food. Elvira shrugged, apparently it didn't taste any better than her own stick of food. Elvira then sat down on a bench, just hanging around as the other two interacted.

The food ration hit Connor's arm, surprising him at the force she threw it. Typical girl, taking a wink the wrong way. He smiled to himself and shook his head slightly, opening the ration, inspecting it and taking some steady bites to refuel.

He looked over again at Elvira, still skulking behind them.

"Would you come over and join us? You're making me nervous stood there." He pointed to a folded chair by the tent.

He began thinking out loud.

"So what do you think lies within this Citadel? Any lost treasures or secrets of the past we can uncover? I think we need to be careful and not stay here too long, especially if the cold front comes in. Although this camp should take us through if it does."

He fingered the ration and looked at it once more.

"Maybe there are things here that could change us all?"

I never did ask, are there specific reasons that either of you are here on a wasteland planet, i have a feeling its not the same reason as me, or atleast not to the degree that i have taken an interest in such an old place. Did you know there was a listening post here during the clone wars and that led to a battle between the Confederacy and the Republic, that must have been a site to see, battle waged on a planet that has no cultural importance and is just a series of ruins dotting the surface." She leaned forward on her hands, smiling as she seemed to be imagining such an event yet also remaining completely focused on them, her mind moving at a million miles a second as she sat there lost in her treasure, this piece of history. @[member="Connor Harrison"] @[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Listening with great interest, Connor leaned back and looked around, trying to imagine the battles he'd only read about growing up.

"The Clone Wars. Now that was a war I'd have wanted to witness. It changed so much for the galaxy. I didn't know it took place here, but I suspect few planets were un-touched at some point by that."

He tapped his fingers gently on his leg.

"Well I'm here to find out if Rhen Var hides a darker secret hidden with the Jedi. I lost touch with my power on this planet years ago and have since fled from the Jedi Order to re-discover myself, and who I am. I don't remember what happened, but I know my life changed forever here, and I just wanted to see if I could find out...why."

Elvira blinked sympathetically at Connor, "You used to be a Jedi too?" She questioned. She got up from the bench and rejoined the other two, her arms crossed over, her hands over her cloak to block out the blistering cold.

She had left the Jedi Order for reasons different reasons than Conner, but her feelings of rejection from them where all the same. She had always felt like they were holding her back, hiding something important. It was for that reasons and more that she had left them. An extra heavy gust of wind blew over them at that moment, shoving Elvira's hood flying off her head and behind her neck. Elvira harshly blinked the snow that kept crashing into her eyes and when the brief gust was over let go of one of the sides of her cloak to pull her hood back over her head. She eyed the other two and (once again) stated her purpose for coming. "I'm here to just learn one or two new Force abilities, given I very well might need them. - If this is the place to go for that..."

He listened to the girl, rubbing his hands gently as the wind picked up, blowing through the Citadel like a tunnel, making it brisk and harsh when the snow picked up. It did on dramatic cue for poor Elvira, taking her by surprise.

Connor made to get up to help her, but she was fine, working her hood back like a pro to cover her face with shadow.

"I did. Yes. I was a Jedi once but I can't call myself one now because I can't place myself before my fall here. It was the mountain, outside here, that I fell from. Something happened, I don't know what, but I just felt something was ripped from me and I woke up back in the Temple. I haven't been the same since."

He smiled gently.

"So, that is why I am here just to see if I can find a reason for why I fell; what took my ability from me. Then, I may be able to re-build myself and train to become the person who I was before. Does that mean with the Jedi? I don't know...not now."

He sat forward and shot his arms out and laughed.

"Hey! Who needs an Order? We have our own Jedi Order right here - the Council of Rhen Var. We will make the galaxy better again, just us."

Alexandra raised a brow as he said that and laughed with him, it was an interesting idea but a near impossible one, though she was interested to see him continue on with that process of thought. "Oh yes, three failed apprentices starting a council on a world devoid of sentient life, that certainly will make the evil in this galaxy worried for its skin. We might even be able to completely change the universe for the better. @[member="Connor Harrison"] @[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Unlike the others, Elvira found not the light to laugh at Connor's joke. However, a smile did cross across her face. Elvira was thinking about Connor's story. He had been broken away from the Jedi Order in a much different fashion than herself. Elvira felt that they had slowly pushed her out "accidentally" by putting her through all her loneliness, low self-esteem, and even the bullying that group of younglings put her through. Meanwhile, Connor's Force sensitivity had harshly been broken by a power he completely did not understand.

Elvira sighed and sat on the table, but now she had finished her food stick. She looked up at Conner, a slash of doubting in her eyes. Talking about the Jedi, being forced away from them, and this old ruin all together was making her feel depressed. It was one thing to come over just to learn a Force ability, it was another to have two separate people and herself coming together and chatting about the Jedi, her haunters. She turned her entire body away from them, her eyes closed. Beneath the hood which was all that was facing the others, Elvira choked, "Could we please stop talking about the Jedi?"

Connor noticed the hurt in Elvira's voice as she was turning away. She wasn't herself, not that he knew the real her, but she was obviously shaken from talk of the Jedi.

He flicked a look over to Alexandra with a little concern. His quip about a Jedi Order was obviously a joke but it seemed to hit a nerve, which meant there was something underlying this.

He shrugged slightly and stood up, walking over to the young girl sat on the table. He hesitated, but placed his hands on her shoulders and shook her very gently.

"How about we get on with exploring this place and see what treasures we can find to make us super-rich and powerful?" He said with a boost of encouragement in his voice, looking back over to Alexandra.

Alexandra nodded, noting the tension in the girl and making sure to keep the Jedi out of the conversation, instead she went to the table and moved around several datapads, powering them up and looking over them for a certain one. Her hands worked frantically as she searched and finally she found the one she was looking for that had a complete schematic of the Citadel, this being done with a combination of exploration, historical records and some use of a form of sonar. "Well, lets see, most of what I found are ancient blasters, some armor, most of which is damaged or beyond use or care for collectors. I have most of the first three levels down, four and five are yet to be explored and the lower levels I haven't even attempted to look at so which is it you think we should go and see first?"

@[member="Connor Harrison"] @[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Elvira sighed in slight relief when both of them changed the subject from the Jedi to the temple.

Elvira blinked, "I've been here for several hours looking around the outside. I never went in beyond the staircases though." She pushed some of her green dyed hair back as she stated, "I'm interested in getting some new armor... What kinds did you find?" Elvira already had shoulder plates and an entire set for her knees down, but maybe it was time for an upgrade. This armor was rather heavy and restricted her movements, especially for her legs. Some new armor outside this regular steel would be nice.

Connor moved to stand behind Alexandra and look over the datapads fired up in front of her. She was resourceful this one to say the least.

He thumbed his chin and thought over what she and Elvira said.

"I think we could satisfy all our needs with the exploration of the lower levels. We can find answers if there are any, find any armours or supplies that are hidden and anything we deem valuable."

Reaching past Alexandra's shoulder, he pointed at one of the displays showing the lower levels.

"How about we start...here. Bottom up, the best way. Start from the lowest floor we can and then - swish. Straight up?"

Alexandra nearly leaped out of her chair and ran as she stood and walked briskly to the table, calm yet cheerful and curious as before. Once at the table she scooped up a datapad, along with the holocron there and clipping it to her side with the Magnalocks that were on her belt. "Well, lets get a move on then, these ruins are vast and time is running on with or without us." She started off towards the stairs that led down deeper with a light in her hand, something resembling an ancient flashlight. @[member="Connor Harrison"] @[member="Elvira Congelo"]
