Not wanting to wait a single second, Ar'ekk took a few steps forward and held Tava in his arms to eventually give her the most meaningful and emotional kiss either of them had either received in their lives. So full of energy that it was able to sweep you off your feet and make you fly, filled with love and mystery. He couldn't let go and certainly would not right there and then.

There was nothing else in Ar'ekk's mind when their lips finally met with such desire, just her and her only. His embrace gave her the warmth that the Coruscanti girl had been looking for under the rainy and cold weather while his palms rested against her dampened cheeks, wiping away the tears that had covered her face just moments ago.

After a few seconds, the slicer gently let go of Tava and his hazel-blue pools sought out hers to look for answers.

"Myo vupee."

——————————————————————

The weather exclaimed, speaking what she could not to [member="Arekk"] and the rain that once fell in drops, came in sheets. Cool, sharp sheets. So cold, it was near the feel of ice. Her shoulders curled in begging for his shelter, seeking his warmth. It was his hands that finally came upon her and his lips- that heat derived from love and desire- that took the chill from her head to her toes.

An experience that would rival a furnace with smoldering hot coals. Her mouth had collided with his, sliding along the slick surface of his lips in attempt to possess... to lay some claim. Tava kissed him fervently, the emotions stoking what had built up. Built up from memories and dreams. It melded together perfectly into reality and the woman found her arms encircling his neck, fingers locking and collapsing within themselves at his nape.

It had been an eternity too long, the Coruscanti thought and shivered against the fallen Jedi. Tava peered into his eyes, lips quivering as she reflected his words back, "Myo vupee."

Ar'ekk couldn't help but smile into the kiss as his words were mirrored equally by the slicer girl, feeling a liberating relief disappear from his shoulders almost instantly. Being under the rain with the person you care the most made for the greatest mood one could ever ask for, combined with the neon-lights reflecting all over for them to witness. Their kiss was filled with contained emotion and excitement that melted away when their lips touched once more.

With a single smooth motion, the fallen Jedi took Tava in his arms and held her legs good enough for her to wrap them around his waist and led her into the depths of the apartment while devouring her lips. Their clothes were completely wet and would make a mess if they continued to roam around the place in such state, so it was up to her what they were doing next.

Nuzzling his nose against hers, Ar'ekk couldn't help himself but smile contently and finally realized that the answer to all his questions had been standing next to her all this time.

"You say it better than I do."

——————————————————————

A warm rush of heat welcomed them, slowly stealing the chill from her wet skin. Their surroundings were suddenly quieter, calmer with only the crackle of the fire and a whisper of music off in the distance. It served only to accent the wet squeaks of his boots and low murmurs that seemed to echo in the apartment like thunder.

In the rush for a dry sanctuary, water trailed and pooled around where [member="Arekk"] would up standing, the woman still ornamented about his waist. Tava's hands were flush against his cheeks, lips still parading upon his generously. As generously as they were drenched. That thought didn't touch her mind for a few moments more. She was lost in the moment and likely would have been content with that until he spoke.

"Haba, Ar'ekk, haba," she laughed, throwing her head back a tick.

In a matter of moments, the Coruscanti slipped from her position draped around his waist. Tava really didn't move at first when she settled on her feet, just gazed up at him and offered a smile. "Let me get your jacket," light footfalls moved through the puddle of water until she was behind him, fingers tickling his neck before giving a tug near the shoulders and peeling the fabric back. She stepped away, dressing the coat-rack near the heat of the fire with his jacket.

When Tava turned, her very liquid appearing eyes met his, "Slagwa.... myo vupee..."

What felt like a dream long ago had become reality and Ar'ekk couldn't be more happy about it. The coziness of the apartment gave them the necessary warmth to cope with the weather outside and between the steamy kisses shared between the two it only aided the whole situation, little squeaks of his boots making him feel slightly uncomfortable as if he were to ruin the floor.

Taking another moment to collect their thoughts, the fallen Jedi turned slicer shivered after feeling the warmth of the fire coming from the fireplace. His eyes wandered all over while his breathing became more relaxed as Tava's barefeet touched the floor once again.

"Oh, I mean it. Believe me." He mused with a grin, bright moonlight eyes falling on her once again. "I really do."

Shivers continued to possess his body and a tingling sensation on the back of his head became evident when her fingertips touched his neck, a gentle pull down was good enough to free him of the leather jacket that he loved so much to wear. It had become a signature piece of clothing for Ar'ekk though he'd look good in a suit as well.

"Eniki, myo vupee."

——————————————————————

"Chess ko, Ar'ekk..."

The smile that edged the corner of her mouth appeared a little darker and she ghosted into the hallway. "I choompa." When she emerged, two thick towels hung from her arms and she moved to the drips and puddles on the floor and dropped one. "Wata!" The other was tossed at Ar'ekk while she soaked up the mess, swirling the fabric with her foot and then discarded in a bin.

She stood there a little lost, head canted to the side, watching. Two-toned tresses were swept to one side, heavy and wet over her nearly bare shoulder and her clothes still clung to her modestly thin frame. The moment was kind of wayward, feeling ethereal on one hand and completely normal on another. It had been a long time since normal or right. Tava drank in the mess that [member="Arekk"] was, from his boots to the messy mop of hair on his head.

"Kavaa hopa?" Bare footing glided across the wooden flooring towards Ar'ekk and stopping just within reach, waiting for his answer.

"Thank you."

Ar'ekk caught the towel mid-air as it was thrown his way and was about to sweep his dampened neck before Tava spoke and asked something that made his knees feel weak for a moment. Hazel-blue pools and a coy side smirk surfaced on the slicer's face as he came to a sudden stop, shivering cold body facing her while a hand extended to offer the towel she had just given him.

"Chess ko..."

There was absolutely nothing that could get in their way anymore. Not now, not ever. The start of something beautiful that will blossom and strengthen with time. Enjoy the great moments and hold each other in the not so good ones.

"Dobrah ree gusha, myu emeela."

——————————————————————

"Myo myo, chuba goola nyee..." The fabric was soft in her hands and lightly damp when he handed it over, "...myo myo..." In the same area he paused at, Tava began with, just a gentle swipe to rid the rain from along his neck and patted along his chest. She made her way around his larger frame, trailing the soft blue fabric with her and stopped behind him. "Raise your arms, love," she said while her fingertips moved along the hem of Ar'ekk's shirt and began to peel up, footfalls moving her position so that it was a smooth transaction.

It fell from her hands in a small heap before the woman continued to pat-dry his skin, hoping to take the chill. Tava studied as she went, noting the slightly different texture and aesthetic of the older, but just a reckless sometimes [member="Arekk"] that she knew. From time to time, her bare tips would touch a scar and wonder where it came from if she didn't know or remember. The aid she offered was deliberate, personal... and just on the surface of intimate. She was at his back again and stepped in a little closer, soft cool lips pressed mid-spine and lingered over a scar.

Pulling away, Tava spoke near against his skin, but it was only her breath, "Boots..." Suddenly, the Coruscanti's arms were about his waist and her fingers loosed his belt before drawing back along his sides to grasp the towel again. "...please."

"Yours, yours."

Eyelids began to gently close down as soon as Ar'ekk felt her presence sorrounding him like a magical aura of sorts, snaring his body and mind in just one single piece simply in the way she spoke and did things. The slicer stood on his feet semi-motionless, an ocean of thoughts flooding his head like the ocean during a heavy thunderstorm, heartbeat picking up its pace faster as the minutes passed.

A slight shiver travelled through his spine in a downwards motion as he felt the fabric of the shirt getting pulled horizontally, arms raising in the air slowly to allow Tava in getting rid of the piece of clothing comfortably. His bare torso was up for display and so were the scars that covered his back, unique marks visible on his soft skin that were able to tell a thousand stories, the intimacy of the two allowed for touching them freely.

Nostrils flared in delight for just a second as her lips brushed against his back, eyes following the girl's every move. Ar'ekk wouldn't utter a word yet acknowledged what Tava said with a firm nod, a smile going from ear-to-ear permanently stuck on his face, to eventually kick off his boots as requested and stand there in his socks while being trapped in a warm huggle to only feel his buckle getting loosened up.

"Inkabunga..."

——————————————————————

Upon straightening, putting a step between them, Tava moved around to face him. Meanwhile, the towel was still in hand and she continued to dry what was displayed. She looked up finally, chin up and meeting his eyes. Adoration shown there, emotions brightening her brown eyes. It had been over a decade and his presence still pushed her over the edge and saved her from falling. She wasn't sure if that would ever change. Perhaps it was just the dichotomy of their relationship... or maybe it was merely an accumulation of memories made, secrets shared. It made Del Nove feel whole.

Suddenly, what mattered became very clear.

Though it would be easy to step into the circle of his arms and feel the strength there when surrounded. Feel his heart beat at her ear if she were to place her head against his chest and the welcoming warmth that his skin offered. It was there, dangling as if a prize she'd won. Neither were a prize. But, combined? Tava's hands were magnetized, ached to touch him again. She blew out a breath, willing it not to shake as she bent to scoop up his boots and shirt. Not in here.

If she would have, there'd have been little to stop the woman on that path when it concerned him. As it were, her control danced a very thin and fragile line.

"Boska," she said as she turned and lead [member="Arekk"] down the hall, then up a winding flight of metal stairs.

No security system barred the doorway to her suite, however, intricate designs that appeared similar to runes were etched on its entirety. It was not very noticeable unless one stared or pressed their hand upon it- as it opened when her shadow approached- because of the swift reaction to motion.

The colors of the decor here were of the cream and an orange that was near pink variety. It was brighter with more feminine touches and boasted its own small porch, fireplace, and refresher, along with a sizable entertainment center off to the side and all the normal things a bedroom offered. There was also carpet here and her bare feet sunk into that comfort, soaking in the warmer threshold.

Upon moving further in to the space, the door slid shut behind them.

"Lapti."

The man's beating was rushed and it only increased in speed as Tava laid her ear against his exposed chest, arms wrapping around her figure for as long as she decided to stay craddled in his warmth. Chin resting atop of her head and nose sniffing that delightful scent of her hair, Ar'ekk felt like going back ten years into the past and have that funny sensation of not having ever left.

Their embrace only last a few seconds before they broke away with the girl bending to take his belongings and grabbing his hand to drag him across the hall, a very eager gaze scanning the confines of Tava's apartment and appreciating every little detail sorrounding them as she had always took care of things in a perfect manner. Walking up the stairs, the fallen Jedi turned slicer couldn't think anything else but of her and herself only.

Socked feet touched the soft fabric of the carpet inside her bedroom and felt a tingling sensation on the nape of his neck as the door closed behind them, bright hazel-blue pools proceed to inspect the room around while standing motionless like a complete dork in utter silence. He could've said anything in that instant but it felt unnecessary, actions spoke louder than words and he waited for her to keep leading him.

My life is complete...

——————————————————————

Scant hours later...

The room was dark, little splashes of color revealed only by the peeking of the moon through the the slits it in the curtains. Silver light reflecting off the metal and glass decor scattering the suite, strewn on the walls causing it to appear a technicolor water grotto. It was quiet, even though Galactic City never slept; one of the things she had in common with the villainous metropolis, among the others.

Soft swirls of smoke plumed the air, the normal near white of it seeming a pale greenish blue. It emitted from the cigarra that lazily decorated Tava's barely parted pout and from her nostrils on her exhales. She had slept little, but well with [member="Arekk"] curled up against her with his hand possessively wrapped around her mid. It was a comforting feeling, one she had not known in quite some time. The woman had moved though, shifting so that he lie upon his stomach and her tousled dark waves wildly framed her face while she rested on the head board. Very brown eyes appearing darker, lost to the shadows as she watched him sleep.

That night replayed in her head. All of it. From where it began to where it was now...

When Tava sighed, the smoke that drifted in a cloud from her mouth, dissipated quickly in the open air. Her gaze flickered to the confetti of clothes about the room and though not a soul seen it, her lips tilted into a mischievous smile at the freshest memory. With another pull from the cigarra, the slicer stamped it out in a glass ashtray within arms reach.

Near time to rise and grind. Not yet though. Soon.

Within a matter of moments, the time it took her to drape her sheet adorned body over his to absorb the warmth of skin, the door to the suite opened. The wolf-hybrid padded soundlessly in her direction, something in her mouth. Upon closer inspection, Tava realized it was her datapad. "Thanks, girl."

There had to be a dozen or more missed messages from Boon and Tava gave an inward groan and sat up once more, swinging her legs so that they hung over the bed. Bare feet hit the plush carpet and her small hands washed over her face.

"Are'kk...myo vupee..."

Don't you just love that feeling of waking up next to your significant other, look her directly into the eyes and just keep falling for her everry single time? That's what he felt and that made him happy.

Ar'ekk had enjoyed the night spent together entangled between the sheets and most of all what had become of the two during such, tender and lovingly attending to each other's desire without any problem whatsoever. But now he slept like a Rancor and dreamed of beautiful things most likely, laying on his stomach next to Tava with his hand unconsciously trying to reach for hers.

Not too much of a great sleeper, the fallen Jedi turned slicer was able to have a good night's sleep for the first time in who knows how long and appreciated every single second of it. Waking up was a distant thought but he had to sooner or later to take a shower and prepare for another day which would definitely be a good one. Spirits lifted and all, Ar'ekk was sure they'd be alright.

"Huh... yeah?" He whispered faintly while trying to gather his bearings, eyes opening slowly while yawning lazily, feeling his hand wet after having his hand licked by the fairly large, mangy looking canine. "I'm here..."

What a sleepy mess, huh?

——————————————————————

"Can you be ready in..." Tava's eyes flicked to the clock, "...an hour?"

This, assuming he was tagging along for old time's sake. Or just for her sake? Maybe just curiosity? Or, maybe he wouldn't...nah, he would. The Coruscanti glanced over her shoulder at him, giving a sigh that stirred the few strands of dark hair spilled over her shoulder. With the time ticking away, Tava pushed from the bed and stood, making her way to a wardrobe. She stood there too long deciding and from the corner of her eye, spotting Rena lopping on to the bed.

"A traitor now, eh Rena?" The woman teased the large canine with a tsk following her observation. Rena responded only by licking Ar'ekk's cheek and promptly dropping half of her frame across his legs. Tava laughed, snagging clean clothes and disappearing to the refresher. But, she yelled as she walked, "...there may or may not be a few of your shirts in the bottom of that chest of drawers." Yeah, I know. But...sleep shirts? Whatever. It was all she had left of [member="Arekk"] for a long time.

Not a lot of time had passed and Del Nove reappeared in fresh attire that consisted of a longer navy v-cut shirt, that fit snugly under a leather vest and fitted slacks of a similar hue stuffed into a pair of worn in boots. "C'mon, ya...I'm gonna eat breakfast without ya..." she laughed, running her fingertips about the sole of his foot.

Truthfully, it was earlier than she usually got up, the sun was still a ways off yet and her darkly mopped head shook in attempt to stave off a yawn. Her ponytail swished with the movement and Tava shivered at the tickle it gave. A moment later, she dropped her data pad on the bed next to him, "I gotta do some groundwork," aka surveillance. The screen revealed as much and more once scrolled. Faces, names, affiliations. The list went on.

"You coming...I mean...you don't have to, obviously...I just..."

Snapping out of his laziness did not prove so difficult after Rena decided to jump on the bed and lick his face with her very wet tongue, making him giggle while struggling to actually slip out of bed. "An hour? Yeah, no problem." His eyes moved to the bedside clock as it beamed today's date and time, palm running across his face to wipe off the loving "smooch" that the canine had given him.

"I think she likes me. Guess I won the lottery today, huh?"

Though still entangled with the sheets, Ar'ekk sat on the edge of his side of bed and set his barefeet on the cold floor while collecting his thoughts and coming to bearing with his sorroundings pretty well. A fist blocked his mouth while yawning deeply and stretching his entire body, making a loud sound of relief while moving towards the wardrobe. Did she really keep his clothes after ten years? They sure wouldn't fit still, right?

"I look as tight as a can of Pik-pok fish in these but they will do." A chuckle escaped him as he tried the many shirts that Tava had kept for him, struggling to fit into them but managing to make it work somehow. "Still gotta shower but let's have breakfast first, myo vupee."

Nothing like waking up with an empty stomach even though he really did eat well last night. Wink. His attention diverted to the datapad on the bed and glided across the matress to grab it and flicker through the information in record time, accessing all sorts of files that were pretty interesting. Tava's work wasn't easy but sure as hell was worth the pay, hopefully, and she wouldn't even have to go as far as asking him to come because he'd be there for the girl always.

"Of course I'm coming!" That spoke by itself most definitely. Not even a single doubt in that. "You think I'd let you walk away with all the credit? Naaah, just joking darling. I got your back. Always."

Regardless of the job or the location, they had each other and that's what mattered the most.

——————————————————————

"Count yourself lucky. Her first instinct is to bite..." a wolfish smile threatened to appear, but failed with the hair pins nabbed by her teeth while she attempted to secure loose strands. Rena flopped off the bed and padded to her side, glancing up expectantly. "Ohhh now you want my attention..." Tava teased again and reluctantly dropped her hand to the canine's head with a loving muss to her soft coat that earned her another lick. Large feral eyes looked up into hers and the animal gave a low whine. "Don't worry, you can come with. You have to go to Boon's after your walk though... no running the streets," the woman said, matter-of-factly and rubbed at her snout. The two had conversations like this all the time and probably understood each other more than most people.

With a sigh, Del Nove straightened and ran her hand from the nape around to the side of her neck. "I kept them for me, silly..." sienna eyes slid in Ar'ekk's direction and she offered up a light chuckle in response, "you were a string bean back then." Even though her nickname on the streets for many of her younger years had, in fact, been bean; her frame had been almost boyish until around sixteen. Her head shook at the memory.

"Well..." the slicer moved closer and slid her thin hand just under his chin, tilting it just so she could place a chaste kiss on his lips. Fingers lingered there, nails skating along the flesh of his neck before dropping to grab the Jedi-turned-slicer's hand and pulled back, "I'm starving...c'mon, myu vupee. On the way in, we can stop at your ship for a change of clothes?" Tava grinned when [member="Arekk"] announced that he'd be joining her and maybe she was just a little curious about his ride too.

"Lucky indeed. But I know she's nice enough not to do that, especially when I can win her over with treats."

Ar'ekk snickered while setting the datapad on the bed and getting up at last to have breakfast with Tava, rubbing his eyes furiously and stretching his body after a good night's relaxing sleep. His gaze dragged towards the cute canine that had decided to move back toward her owner for belly rubs and pampering instead of him now, a look of "betrayal" adorned his face for a moment before breaking into laughter again

"What a traitor, tsk."

The fallen Jedi was eager to sit down and eat something after his stomach loudly growled and expressed its own feelings like an entity of its own, whenever he felt like eating he was capable of raiding an entire fridge in one sitting. She would obviously pick up on that since it had always been an old habit of Ar'ekk's, to eat a lot. Some things just never change at all.

"I know, myo vupee. I know." That was kinda of a cute thing to say yet sad at the same time that she kept old "memories" in her wardrobe, the only thing she had of him were some old clothes that still fit her after all thes years. He'd have to give her something meaningful this time around, that was a promise. "Hah! I was. Though I liked to think I was muscular and stuff, remember? With Kaveel and Lina, we were always trying to lift something heavy pretending we were strong."

"Mhm..." He bopped his head while his fingertips traced Tava's cheek during their tender kiss, eyes closing for a second and fingers interlacing with hers after pulling away gently. She surely knew how to make him feel good from head to toes in an instant. "Oh, yeah. That would definitely be great because I don't think your friends will appreciate my current outfit, huh?"

The grin she offered was quickly mirrored with one of his own while getting tugged along to the table where they'd sit down to eat. Whatever she wanted to know, he would gladly oblige and tell her.

——————————————————————

"And they say the way to a man's heart is food..." they had moved into the kitchen and she had opened the fridge door, eyes grazing over the small selection housed in the cool interior, "the same can be said for women." It was a fact, for her at least. Due to her species, Tava's metabolism was decidedly high, which had her eating as much as a male teenager. Though not junk, the slicer had been doing a lot of take-out. That small fact shown in how stocked the kitchen was. Ergo, she was low on everything. The woman sighed, snagging a block of Gonzo and sliced meat. "The ksharra is in that container..." a slender finger pointed, directing [member="Arekk"] to grab the loaf.

With a sheepish smile, Tava glanced sideways at him, "We...ahh are going to have to stop for snacks." A manta pear found its way into her palm, then held hostage by her teeth when she moved with the other food to the table. Tava took a bite of the fruit and nabbed a knife to slice into the cheese. "I haven't been home... probably need to go to the market too." Rambled the woman in between bites. She never really had guests- not here anyways.

"It's not...very flattering...well, I mean..." her hand came to cover her mouth full of pear when she laughed.

Both brows rose suddenly, "Juice...stimcaf?" Her mouth nearly watered at the caf, but she decided it would probably be easier to pick that up with the snacks. Finally, she slid into the chair, propped her elbow on the table. This was nice, she reflected...different, but nice.

"Pffffsh. You're definitely right. At least you and me always ate a lot when we could."

When they had the means to do things they were an unstoppable force, especially when it was about food. Ar'ekk sat down in the chair and looked around in clear sleepiness due to not being to beat it out of his body yet with a hot shower so after having breakfast that would be exactly what he'd do next before departing, you just can't roam around the streets looking and smelling like a mess.

"A take-out fan, it seems. It's incredible how similar we are, I barely cook anything for myself." He beamed a child-like grin from across the table, eyes falling on Tava lovingly as he watched her eat a manta pear effortlessly. "Noodles. That's what I usually eat when I'm hungry, the best ones in Lithios are Jovim's. You'd love his food."

The fallen Jedi reached for the container as it was pointed out to him and grabbed the loaf of ksharra with his hand, slicing it apart with a knife to put the delicious ingredients into it to prepare an exquisite sandwich for breakfast. They were nothing but dorky smiles and playful laughter that morning and he liked that but mostly missed it. Everything was like he had never left.

"Stimcaf, please." He replied almost instantly once she asked, giving her another warm smile. He felt happy as ever and she had no idea. "Let's go shopping, then. I will come with to get whatever you need but first a trip to my ship. Can't walk around in these, right?" His thumb pressed against his chest in a reference to the small sized t-shirt he was wearing that certainly made him look like he was being suffocated, laughing while doing so.

"You don't mind if I take a shower here after breakfast?"

——————————————————————

"To be honest," she said before chewing another bit, "I miss cooking. It's just me though, so it's not really worth the fuss." Tava glanced around the large, modern kitchen and gave a soft sigh. It was a waste of all the appliances and room... Sienna pools found his and she smiled into the last bite of pear. Perhaps not anymore though, Del Nove thought, while swiping a piece of bread and breaking a smaller portion off. Was [member="Arekk"] going to stay here with her?

Leaning back in the chair, she crossed one worn brown boot over the other, "I would?" He was probably right though. Good spots were hard to find and they both normally noted it to memory upon finding one. "On Lithios..." Tava cleared her throat, popping the pinched piece of break in her mouth. The other hand moved so that her fingers could rake up the side of her head nervously, "I don't suppose we're visiting there anytime soon?"

Obvious reasons were obvious.

A little bit of silence stretched and Tava reached for a piece of cheese, "We'll grab some stimcaf on the way in...sorry, I'm fresh out of that too." The smile was apologetic and she'd been doing a lot of it. She laughed shortly after when he brought up the state of dress he was currently experiencing, but commented with, "I do need more shirts to add to my collection..."

The slicer held his eyes, a twinkle of mischief there, "By all means, shower away, myo vupee...but quickly, time is a tickin'."
