Faction Absolutely Girls Allowed!

At Nir's mention of being Braze's old roommate, Casaana looked towards where he'd gone further into the fort and been followed by Loomi. Deciding it was best to leave well alone, she looked back as the Cathar pulled out his band's card. Music had long been her weakest area, exploring new sounds could get pricey so she usually stuck to the free broadcasts or soundtracks from Artisian animations she liked. The light was a neat trick though.

Rubbing her neck behind her ear, Casaana leaned in to get a better look at the band art. "Is that her?" She asked, pointing to the female guitarist with genuine curiosity. Roman hadn't seemed to have heard of them either, but seemed rather excited. Maybe he played an instrument. It'd be likely given what she knew and guessed of his background. It seemed exciting to her too. To think that some of her fellow Padawans were in a band!

She would find Braze struggling to cocoon himself in a fluffy blanket.

"Oh ya know, little bit of rock and roll, little bit of metal, little bit of new wave."
He rolled his eyes, slowly slipping into his stage persona. "Yeah, that's her in the black corset. I keep telling her she's gonna get looks with that get up, but she doesn't care. I can introduce you sometime, maybe invite you guys to a show. You'd like that, eh?"

It was boastful for him, but he couldn't deny it. He was a rock star. Was that a boast? A stroking of his ego? Or a simple statement of fact?

He thought it was more likely the latter.

His eyes sparkled with interest as Nir spoke about the band. He leaned forward, straining to see the album art better, mesmerized by the vibrant colors and the confident poses of the band members.

"Absolutely, I'd love to come to a show!" he blurted out, his enthusiasm bubbling over. It had been too long since he'd seen a live musical act, the kind that sent vibrations through his soul and made him feel alive. "Casaana and I are definitely in for the next one. Right?" He turned to her with a hopeful smile, eager to include her in the experience.

As he examined the album cover, his curiosity shifted to the female guitarist. She exuded a magnetic aura that intrigued him, and he couldn't help but wonder about her. "Hey, Nir, what's her name?" Roman asked, pointing to the guitarist in the black corset that shimmered against the bright stage lights. "She looks amazing! I want to know more about her."

The thought of attending a live show, surrounded by the energy of the crowd and enveloped by sound, made him feel lighter. It was the kind of escape he'd been craving recently.

"Here..."

Loomi began to help Braze wrap himself up with the blanket, letting out a sigh. She had been thinking a lot about the things she had overheard, between confessions and the mention of girlfriends she was starting to get the idea that he was discussing something she wasn't supposed to be a part of.

"I'm here by mistake, aren't I," she inquired, letting out a sigh. "I... don't want you to be embarrassed about me, o-or talking about me. If you want to talk about something without me present, that's okay." She gave a gentle smile. "I'm not afraid of you saying mean things about me, and I don't need to be in every part of your life. If you need me to give you space, just let me know."

There was no judgement in her tone, nor sadness. There was only support for her Echani companion.

As Roman's excitement bubbled over, Casaana looked from the album to him and back up to Nir. To her, the prospect of being surrounded by a crowd and inundated with loud noise was something that she wanted to avoid. Especially after Tython. "Oh um, yeah." She hesitantly agreed, not wanting to bring down the mood even more after Braze's departure. "And she looks interesting, very confident." She added to show her appreciation of his relationship. Actually this whole event was wearing on her, it might be time to enact one of the earliest lessons she'd learned while being raised in the Temples, leave before you get caught or get made to clean up. Pulling her comm from her pocket, she checked the time. "I'm going to be late. You guys take care!" She told the other two with false cheer, and stood. On her way out, she snagged a few slices of cheese. "I'll catch you guys later. By Braze!" She called out louder before ducking out the door and making her escape.

Braze appreciated Loomi's gesture, her hands helping to wrap the blanket around him, but he let out a heavy sigh as if something was weighing him down. He hesitated, feeling the need to be honest, even though the words felt tangled inside.

"Thank you... yeah... kinda... something like that,"
he began, his voice soft, trailing off. "I'm not good at... processing my feelings in the moment, especially when they're unexpected. Things are... different, in ways I can't really explain. I don't even know how to deal with how I feel, or why I act the way I do because of it." He admitted quietly, his gaze distant as if searching for the right words.

It wasn't that Loomi had done anything wrong—quite the opposite. Her presence had been comforting, but in moments like this, when his thoughts were all over the place, it felt like the one person who could catch him off guard the most was right there. And maybe that was part of what made it so awkward.

"I don't really have anyone I can talk to about all these things, and when I try to find an outlet, it feels like the last person I want to know... shows up." A faint, almost embarrassed smile crept onto his face, thinking back to how he'd been trying to make sense of it all. He'd even considered talking to Zaiya who had suggested he speak to an adult he trusted about it. But Jasper Kai'el? He doubted his master would know what to do about feelings like this.

"It's like… I just don't have
anyone, y'know?"
His voice trailed off,

Nir blinked. "...I said her name, Erika. Though, in our band she goes by the Kiltik Queen. I'm the Hurricane.~" He smirked. "She's pretty cool. Kinda the level head of the group. I get really bad anxiety before shows, she screws my head back on." He chuckled. "We've known each other for years. Her family is one of the few humans on Ran Dom Kuun, so we got along based on both of us feeling like outsiders. There's also Avalanche, he's our guitarist." Nir pointed to the near 8 foot wookie that seemed to have his facial fur groomed into a long viking-esque beard. "And Wildfire. He's our drummer." And finally, a gungan who looked like he was still out of the era of the Rebellion, wearing tanned leather jackets with tassled, his frill painted all sorts of strange colors, and a pair of whiskers that mimicked a moustache.

Roman looked upon the cover yet again, gazing at the other members of the band. As Nir pointed each one of them out, all he could think of was how well they were nicknamed, Avalanche fit the towering Wookiee in the image. "I can only imagine the music you create together." Roman smiled, noticing the quiet conversation going on in the back of the fort.

As Casaana's footsteps faded into the distance, Roman felt a gentle tug of realization. It was time for him to start his day as well. He turned to Nir, "I should probably get going." he said, "I'll be sure to be at your next show."

With a final, curious glance at Braze and Loomi, Roman slipped out of the pillow fort, leaving the two of them to their moment.

"I'm sorry," Loomi muttered. "I don't know if I fully understand, but you're frustrated... and that does matter to me. I... I want to help, but I don't know if that's what you need. I'd rather not make things worse."

Maybe it was because she might have to go through those exact things as well.

"What... can I do right now to help?" she asks. "If... that's give you space, I can."

Braze took a long, deep breath and let it out slowly, sighing softly. It was almost as if all his emotions, all his feelings, disappeared into a calm sort of neutrality.

"It's okay. You don't have anything to apologize for. Thank you for being so supportive, even though you don't really understand where I'm coming from or why. I appreciate how kind and considerate you always are," Braze offered quietly in a somber, hushed tone.

"It's not that I don't want to be around you. I just think maybe I should step back and think about things for a bit. There are lots of nice things I set out. You're welcome to enjoy any of the snacks. I'm going to try and take a walk."
