Act III: Insurrection

Rebel-Bluejay Shootout - Kursed

Bluejay faltered for a split second as the knife sank into Galaar's chest. Every bloody time. She thought with a twisted smile. First his jaw, then his lung. "So it's you instead of the runt." She spat out in the split second before Galaar's hands grabbed her wrists - she immediately grabbed onto his, preventing him from pulling away, when his helmeted head slammed into her own, making it snap backwards. Oof...ow. Son of a Hutt. Instinctively, she brought her knee up in between the Commando's legs, and attempted to ram the knife deeper into his chest. Somehow.

REBEL-ALLEY WAY

Aedan Miles pushed himself up snarling quietly to himself he slowly patted himself down making sure he was A in once piece, B had his weapons which it appeared he had most of them his sniper rifle was.. oh wait there it was and C that he was wearing the only armor he had a steel skin under a set of armor he had bought after making sure it was all set the young man looked around his mid length violet hair moving with his head as he wore no helmet probably not a good idea but he wasn't known for good ideas. As he was sure everything was there he made his way into an alley hearing gun fire. He hated hated that sound usually meant he was in trouble again. For now he sensed a few familiar presences and he started towards them carefully drawing his two blaster pistols he moved carefully and with purpose. He needed to meet up with whoever he knew and make sure things weren't going horribly wrong. A few of them were extremely familiar from his time before leaving the Protectorate which meant things were about to get interesting. With a sigh he started to hurry and meet up with them after all better in a squad then dead. @Basaba Willamna

Break was not himself... Normally his thoughts would be on how to save the people of the attack, however today he was the hunter. The will of Askala bid him to kill and he would be helpless to deny it. His body and mind sent to seek and destroy those who would stand against his ruler and he wouldnt disappoint. His comm link would lead him to his first targets...his closest friends would be his first victims...
He spoke over his comm a hint of metallic distortion in his voice and through his speakers the tune of a broken music box played "Hey guys...why dont we just come out and play together today?" he stepped through the streets with a maniacal grin on his face as he swung his blade in his hand spinning it, keeping his ever jittery arms in constant motion. The blade bloodstained from his previous targets made it a crimson tint with drops being flung to the ground with momentum, it hummed with air as he spun it. "REXUS! STARDUST! COME OUT AND PLAAAAAAY!!! HAHAHAHAA" His laugh was anything but its calming tones and his childlike canter was replaced by the jaunt of insanity. The will of his own spirit broken and rebuilt as a tool for Askara. The droid a harpenger of death for any in his path.

Rebels, yeah, that.

Well, that's one issue. You better keep her safe.

"You break her you buy her." Calico grunted as some sort of...being spoke. Tunnels, she wanted tunnels. That sounded about the same as the voice on the radio. "Alright boys and girls, pack it up. Let's go-let's go!" The Commander waved his hand in the air for emphasis. This would all be dealt with sooner or later, now was not the time.

He turned to pop off a few more shots, but this was done. Kira was safe, now he needed to get his people out. "Dreadguard, form up! Defend everyone moving back." He motioned toward @[member="Saren Kel-Varad"] "You, move on with us. Stay in our formation!" he expected the soldiers to be moving--away from Isley and Phoebe's little duel. That was none of his business.

Calico moved forward, and fired another burst at Bluejay. Not to kill her, simply to scare her away from Galaar. "Galaar, come on! Let's move ner'vod. We're regrouping!"

The young Force user's cold, ice blue eyes narrowed at the scene before him. Mandalore was where his master had sent him to do her bidding. A sigh escaped his lips, a dark hunger stemming from the blade in his hand urged him to move, to take. The Forcesaber had mysteriously appered along with himself on this dark and desolate world. Taking a deep breath through his nose, he gripped the ancient weapon and sprung into action. The red blade erupted form the hilt, malice and hunger pushing him to his limits in order to sate the darkness.

What had he become? Whatever it was, it felt good.

What in the actual feth was going on? Datalink had found himself here, Mandalore out of nowhere then stumbled onto his brother's and sister's fighting. "Guys?" He asked worriedly, exiting an alley with his carbine raised up to his shoulder. Galaar was wounded, and from the looks of things Jay was the culprit. What the fething hell. His world had been turned completely upside down. His family was fighting, what was next? Isley going against them? Oh...feth...

Rebels-Tunnels

He had followed the strange advice from the mind probe he had recieved. He didn't much like space magic, Force using beings, but with blaster fire raining down all around him it was a good place to be. Wandering through the tunnels he eventually met up with others he had not expected to see.

Before she knew it, she was in someones arms, and the galaxy seemed to spin on it's access. Kira barely heard Calico mention something about, 'You break it, you buy it,' before a melodic voice broke the din.

Maybe she really did clobber her head good.

A hand pointed towards the east, in the direction the voice had summoned... "Huh... well at least she isn't shooting at us... right?" None the less, those around her were quick to make their decision. It was either follow the strange woman's voice....

Or die.

Syn heard it that sound as he had finally moved more and had his blades deflecting blasters shots. Cutting into the fray but more importantly there was that familiar sound of clanking of the Iron knight from the swamp who could cut bloody swaths through everything needed. That was what this war needed and he stood there and moved the sabers to bat away bolts. "Well it is great to see your still alive old friend (having been twenty years since Dagobah) Now lets see who is trying to kill us and make them pay." He had a grin on his face not of malicious intent but one of pure exhilaration this was what he was bred for just fighting in a war and jedi or nought he would protect his people. "Sochi what is your position?"

Rebel-Bluejay Firefight - Kursed

Bluejay staggered back a few steps, bringing her shoulder up instinctively as Calico fired on her. And now it's your turn, sir. She thought viciously, returning fire cheerfully as she advanced, barely sparing a thought for Galaar and Canal. Galaar=wounded, perhaps fatally, she didn't know. Canal=no threat. Calico? Now this would be entertaining. She couldn't help but laugh as he gave orders, and mimicked him viciously. "Dread Guard form up! Defend everyone moving back!" She jeered, still shooting. "It's so cute, how you think you can win."

Kursed - Site of the Lover's Quarrel

Although alleys and other holes were the perfect, darkened place for all sorts of vermin to emerge, the Mandalorian had nothing to fear about being caught off guard by that which was hiding within the alleyway before him. This was due to the fact that the Force Lightning that surged boldly forth from his fingertips served a secondary purpose: illumination. As the sparks flew through the air, the bright flashes cast light into the alleyway, revealing the form of the sniper cautiously making his way forward. Isley, being born and bred for battle, knew full well that enemies could drop in from every angle if permitted; and so allowed his attention to shift ever so slightly left to the alley, just for a moment. Upon seeing the gleam of the sniper rifle being raised in the enemy's hands, the Mandalorian mimicked the act in turn, raising his swordhand into the air. However, he did not perform this action in order to prepare himself to deflect whatever came his way with his blade, but so that he might direct a feat of telekinesis his way.

Then came the pull of the trigger and the fly of the round. Isley thrust his hand forward almost in sync with this moment and unleashed a surge of telekinetic might. Fortunately, it's direction was such that it would breeze by his wife and focus entirely upon the enemy within the alleyway. The round that had been fired found itself met with a superior force and was blown right back from whence it came, poised to strike its shooter somewhere upon the upper torso while the telekinetic force was poised to send the man hurtling backwards into the alleyway. With this rudimentary threat dealt with, the Mandalorian had just a moment to look out of the corner of his visor in time to see another enemy appear out of the woodwork. He raised his rifle, took aim, and fired; launching a round of ionized air in the Mandalorian's direction. Due to his attention being split, there was not much Isley could do this time; so he ended the stream of lightning and pivoted to face the round, keeping both hands raised.

He barely could muster the presence of the Force in time to do anything much, but cushioned his outstretched hands enough to keep the bones from absolutely shattering when the ionized air collided with them. The force of the collision was rather strong and sent the Mandalorian skidding back upon the pavement until he lost his footing and fell back. A well-placed hand upon the ground sprang him back upon his feet, however. A low growl of annoyance escaped the Mandalorian's lips as pain and smoke began to rise from his hands. Looking down, he saw that the heat of the round had smouldered his armorweave gloves and caused burns to form upon the skin; but nothing that would take him out of the fight. However, lightsaber combat was out of the question at the moment, so he extinguished the blade of his lightsaber and stowed it upon his belt.

Pain was a powerful medium for the Dark Side, and such was the nature of the Magic the Mandalorian began to beckon. His hands moved in an intricate circle whilst clouds of black began to form about his fingertips. Then, he uttered the incantation whilst thrusting his palms forth together: "Dwomutsiqsa." From his hands leapt the clouds of darkness and they sailed onto the pavement before him, spontaneously erupting into twin spirals of smoke. From beyond the physical realm they came, formless at first before shaping themselves into humanoid, yet demonesque forms. "Kill them, now." he ordered, denoting the men who had fired upon him as his targets before striding forward to return his attention to his loving wife. "Now, where were we...What's gotten into me? Oh, I don't know..." he teased, resuming his assault with another torrent of Force Lightning.

At his command, the Smoke Demons did as bid. The first, Alpha, bounded into the air and sank its claws into the wall of the adjacent building, climbing swiftly into the alleyway after the sniper. The second, with the speed of a sprinting Wookie, rushed along the streets of the city, growling and filling the air with gutteral noises. When it finally came upon its target, the second, Beta, leapt and reared back its razor sharp claws, attempting to claw the wielder of the concussion rifle to ribbons. Now things were finally getting interesting...A full on escape to the tunnels? The Kursed would have to do something about that!

Vulpesen heard and followed the voice, keeping a hold on @[member="Kira Liadain"]. "Now I remember. You were a jedi. i guess time treats different people in different ways doesn't it?" He followed her hand, racing towards the voice with the force to enhance his movement. As he ran, he cast a glance back to see the clones still fighting one of their own. "Damn it!" He didn't want to leave them behind but he had a feeling that they would be occupied for a while and Ace's barrier wouldn't hold forever. Speaking of Ace, the wolf was already dashing across the roof of the alley, catching up to Vulpesen before leaping down to his bond-mates shoulder. Apparently, even at the end of civilization, Vulpesen had connections.

HEADING TOWARDS TOWER - KURSED

There was nothing doing down in the streets, with rebels avoiding the Kursed Dark Jedi Master like the plague. So Na'Varro decided to head towards a landmark, choosing the Mandalmotors Tower that rose in the near distance. He sensed presences there ... powerful presences. Rebels to come to grips with and defeat; there was bloody constraint to be enjoyed. And in this state, where he was a vessel for the will of Akala, that was all he wanted. The chance to exert his will, Akala's will, over the rebels and destroy them utterly. The bearded man began to get hyped at the thought of violence. There was nothing more powerful than coercive power, and he would be damned if he didn't use it.

Quickly, Na'Varro made his way to the enemy position. There was a fray, with Kursed and Rebels hacking, slashing and shooting. Glorious. The Dark Jedi stepped into the position, smiling disarmingly.

"Hey guys, what's the story?" His grin widened in anticipation, and a single crimson lightsaber ignited with a snap-hiss. "Seen any rebels?"

Heh, good joke. He was looking forward to this.

As the confused rabble from the surface retreated into the tunnels with Melantha, they'd find themselves descending further and further into the ground beneath the ruined city. Once they were suitably deep, teams of Mandalorians (and others) in dilapidated gear made their presence known from side tunnels and choke points.

To a man, they were a tired, haggard lot. They looked every bit the last defenders of the galaxy they were. This was a losing battle, one that was running on the hopes of those who sought victory rather than on any sort of supply. They'd form a cordon behind Melantha and her tail, providing security for those who wished to head deeper.

No words were spoken by these mysterious armed individuals, but it was clear that they were friendly.

But whoever was in charge of them, he'd not shown himself yet. That much was obvious. Perhaps answers lay deeper in the network of tunnels.

REBEL - STREETS

She squinted her eyes as she pondered. He seemed to be thinking to himself seeing as how his attacks stopped. For a moment she felt maybe she had gotten through to him, but it couldn't have been that easy. Then she felt the shudder in the force that was his anger and lunged for her once more. She quickly brought her lightsaber up in a reverse grip initially, the momentum from his initial attack caused her to shudder backwards, but she quickly regained her footing. Then she quickly flip her saber to a regular grip to block his attacks. She began to mix Ataru into her Shien, and her counter attacks were aided by acrobatics. She blocked an attack, and did a front flip, bringing her blade down vertically from above, then she jumped into the air once more, spinning. She was preparing for a follow up attack, but it met one of his many slashes and their blades locked once more.

"This isn't right!" She said before using the force to push him back to break their locked. She flipped over him, and signaled for the padawan to follow her. She waited for him to run past her so that she could cover him from any attacks, she was determined to get him out of the fray of this confusion, so they could regroup and come up with some type of plan.

She heard the voice on her comlink. "We ran into some enemies, were currently heading to your position."

Basaba looked at the ones who were here now though and she was breathing in deeply before exhaling letting the voice filter come out with clicks and chirps before preparing to move on. There was much they could do with all of this and even more as the sounds of blasters were in her audio receptors. All that mattered in the end was killing things while she checked her crushgaunts and gear. The knives ready to fight before she moved on and around speaking into the coms. "A prisoner could do wonders and if they lie we snap their neck."

This just wasn't going to work out. Calico's men were pulling back, yes, but their troubles weren't done yet. Galaar had narrowly escaped a brutal death at the hands of Bluejay, but he walked away with heavy wounded. Canal likely wouldn't be much help in that either. Isley was busy summoning monsters and sicking them on the other bystanders. Calico just didn't know what to do.

"If you refuse to stand down then I will MAKE you stand down." The soldier bellowed. Determination and absolute rage permeated at his very core. This woman had wounded his brother, his family. That simply wouldn't do.

He rolled to the left, evading a few of the bolts, and tumbled down flat against the dusty walkway as three more shots crashed into his midriff. He sprawled out with gritted teeth as the flashing red light indicating a failed shield flashed across his HUD. "Fierfek." He grumbled as he squirmed over behind a thin veil of rubble. The Commando checked the charge on his 'Deece'--it was enough.

"Get your head down Jay!" He bellowed as he leaped up over the rubble. The rifle in his hands screamed as it sprayed with fully automatic fire in Bluejay's direction. Calico charged through her fire with reckless abandon, his armor seared in melted in multiple spots--and oh did it hurt.

Hopefully the spray of fire would force her into cover long enough for him to charge right into her. He needed to keep her off of his boys, and he would. Besides, she was one of his people too, crazed or not; killing wasn't an option.

Rebel-Alleyway/entering tunnels
@[member="Melantha"] @Rebels in Tunnel
Mack 'woke up' from his deactivation. He had no memory if any recent activities or where he was. His sensors could detect blaster fire and many life forms around him. He didn't know where he was but he did know he was in the middle of a firefight and he didn't know either side of the battle. Blaster bolts flew by him and several nearly hit him. The droid heard someone tell them to follow and so he did, he himself had no better ideas and had no understanding of his current situation. He followed the figure into a tunnel network near the alleyway. He needed orders from someone who understood his situation, and if he had accidently stumbled into an enemy trap, then he would kill as many men as he could before his deactivation.

"No Sochi, you helping these worms isn't right." Marek spoke finally, he remembered, it was all so clear, and this made so much sense. "I taught you better than to get stuck with these fools." He snarled, raising a hand and unleashing a torrent of force lightning. The voice would give it away, @[member="Sochi Ru"] would now know just who she was up against, albeit an older, more evil version of that person. Her former master moved towards her slowly, keeping a steady stream of energy flowing.
